Over the years I have ordered many cakes from Beverly's. Two of my favorite ones was the tea party one that was a table with a tea set up on top for my dsaughter's birthday. The other one they help design which was a graduation hat sitting on a princess pillow for my niece's graduation. I'm done with Beverly's Bakery. Their inability and unwillingness to make things right, absolutely blows my mind. In addition, for them to blame me and say there is nothing they can do--is not a good business philosophy. Just an acknowledgement of my concern, empathy, or even an apology that the cake wasn't to my liking would have been more than enough. All I was given was relayed messages of attitude/tone from someone in the back from the front assistant, who were both just basically avoiding to address my concern. I completely understand that this situation must happen all the time with this type of business. So, sympathizing with that is why I wasn't rude, nor raising my voice, and I wasn't even asking them to fix the cake. This was the 4th time and I wasn't going to leave not speaking up. I didn't need to be treated that way. "Yellows and purples" mean plural. There was only one color of purple and the yellow looked the same where you couldn't even tell the difference. Your business wants to hold to the exact wording on receipt I wasn't given, then please address the plural use of "yellows and purples". The way this was handled was completely a slap in the face, unprofessional, and just on a basic human level--insensitive. I will never go back. read more

Today, I went to Beverly's bakery to grab the cake I ordered for my best friend's birthday a week ago. I showed them a pic of a black, heart-shaped cake with glitter that said "Capricorn baby." The person who took my order guaranteed it'd be an easy job. But guess what? When I picked it up today, it was a disaster! The cake wasn't heart-shaped, the glitter was barely there, and it looked nothing like what I asked for. I nicely pointed this out to Ashley the worker who informed me she iced the cake herself, and she got very defensive, insisting it was fine. I asked her straight up, "Do you honestly think this cake looks like a heart?" She was so rude, saying i don't know what you're talking about and that it was the right shape and they always use the same pan. I asked her to please try and fix it, and she half-heartedly put a point on the top. I had no choice but to take it because I was on a tight schedule. The attitude and the cake were both terrible. I'm seriously unhappy with the service and the cake, and I won't be going back to Beverly's bakery after this awful experience. Very please with this place. I ordered by emailing them and sending them a picture of what I wanted and my cake was EXACTLY that. They did an amazing job at replicating the cake I asked for. I was charged an extra $10 for the color of the cake which I didn't appreciate at all (it was a light green nothing special). But overall the cake was beautiful and super delicious. We also requested a caramel cake and although it didn't taste too much like caramel, we really enjoyed the filling. Everyone really loved how delicious the cake was. No where in the email was that clear. Store needs to work on their communication and customer service. Instead of apologizing up front for a lack of communication, don't try to justify your lack of response and turn it around and blame it on a customer. They have done my wedding cake, all of my nieces and nephews birthday cakes, any in between event, whenever I am in doubt, I always go to them. We held our wedding at the Vintage Rose and a wedding cake from Beverly's Bakery was included as part of our package. The owner was the one who completed our tasting and she was so nice and easy to work with. I have to say the tasting was a little underwhelming and I didn't have high hopes for our wedding cake. However, my wedding was this past weekend and when we cut into the cake I was pleasantly surprised! The cake was light, moist, and delicious!!! My favorite was the lemon cake with lemon Bavarian and raspberry jam, but all our layers were great. I believe the tastings are samples that have been frozen and just do not compare to the fresh cake they make. So sad to have to write this as I like to support local business and we used to be regulars under the old ownership, but I have to be honest. My daughter ordered a special cake for my granddaughters birthday and it was terrible. To start, they forgot to write the happy birthday we had to ask them to correct this, lucky we looked prior to leaving. Second issue is that we ordered whipped cream frosting and ended up with buttercream frosting.. The White Cake was DRY DRY DRY, the chocolate Bavarian cream has no soul it was lifeless, but I suppose with all the other issues really didn't matter. The real test was the kids, they all hated it, they took a bite or two and left the rest to be tossed in the trash. The worst part of this?
