NEW OWNERSHIP! New menu and some different items than are found in other Korean restaurants. Definitely coming back!!

This place is a cook your own food place they have everything you could imagine if I could I would rate infinite stars

Bulgolgi fried rice they made for our kids, off menu. The kids LOVED this.

We came back again and have never seen my kids eat as much food as they do here. Our favorites: Galbi tang (beef short rib soup), bugulgi fried rice (not on the menu, but they were able to make it upon request), and the seafood pancake. Service is so warm and friendly, and the food is delicious. My son says the ambiance is amazing. Prices are a bit higher (what isn't these days), but everything has been so fresh and consistent, it's absolutely worth it for us. Noticed beer in one of their coolers so they must have their liquor license now - would go perfectly with their fried chicken.

Though we ordered off the menu my Bibimbab and my husband's pork belly stir fry were very tasty and filling. The dishes came with Korean appetizers, fish cake, noodles, zucchini, bean sprouts, two types of Kimchi and miso soup. We redeemed a Groupon and it was well worth the price.

It's located inside of big building. Inside is clean and good ambience. Staff are very attentive and polite especially one of ladies was very kind to my daughter and felt very welcoming. I ordered bibimbap and it was hot and delicious. I didn't try many dishes but next time I definitely want to try Korean bbq.

    No yolk. And frozen

One of my favorite restaurants... is not surviving the covid aftermath. I've been here before on countless occasions. It was the first place I ever had Korean food. I took my mom here for her 50th birthday years ago and treated her to wagyu beef bbq. This is a place I've trusted enough to still try something new during a pandemic. I ordered yukhoe (beef tartare). The menu picture (predominately whited out with tape and with the Japanese portion completely removed) gave me an impression I would get exactly what was marketed regardless of portion size. I asked for the smaller portion because it was my first time trying something so adventurous. Raw beef. Prior to my visit, I browsed through some photos of how it's prepared and was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the restaurant's match stick cuts of beef were still frozen. I had to let it sit for a while so that I could eat it at room temperature so it didn't feel like I was eating a beef popsicle. Yuck I know. Plus I was also waiting for an egg yolk which was told to me was extra (no cost disclosed) after I already ordered it. My recdeipt told me it was $1.50 for that egg yolk. I might as well ordered the full damn portion. Despite the frozen beef... it was still pretty flavorful but just not at the right temperature. The service was annoying and awkward. They kept sending this girl over to my table who barely spoke a drop of english. It was very frustrating because her managers would be a few steps by our table but would watch this girl struggle and then here I am telling them about how I'm missing an egg, clarifications for portions, refills and each time she had to get someone to come to our table to translate. It's not a big deal but when its multiple complaints and you have to express yourself twice...? I don't know. You start perseverating on the issues that piss you off from the whole experience. Plus they don't offer the potato salad as a banchan anymore. Are there new owners? Because I miss how this used to be. Maybe it's time to redo your menu so it looks less cheap. With your decor, it's not a place I would say would be a hole in the wall like your menu suggests.. shorten the menu and keep things fresh. If beef tartare isn't all that popular, stop serving it. And also update your google hours so that it reflects the time when your staff wants to leave. The bussing and the rushing was highly unnecessary when you didn't mention a thing until you starting collecting our dishes. (There were other patrons in the restaurant). RUDE. I will have to explore elsewhere for korean food. This one hurts to admit.

So so good. I came here for lunch with friends and family and had such a great experience. Staff was friendly and prompt and the pictures in the menu were very helpful. We had the shrimp dumplings to start which were so tasty! Then all of us got the beef bibimbap and it was amazing. The chopped mushrooms were my favorite along with the crunchy rice at the bottom of the hot bowl. I would go back here in an instant.

Some of the best KBBQ in this region, and quite honestly, better than many I have had in other states. I have been to a bunch of places in SoCal and this beats them all. One of the reasons that BI BIM Bab is so good, is the excellent service. Each visit is such a joy and much of it is the friendly, warm and welcoming service. My family and I have been going to Bi Bim Bab for 18 years and many of the staff has been there that long too. Kim, one of the nicest people, she remembers us from years ago and she is also so wonderful. The entire staff are all engaging and makes each experience special. The food is delicious. The array of banchan is such a treat! Housemade goodies with a variety of taste and crunch. The kimchee has just the right spice level and the salad is topped with the tastiest dressing. We typically order angus beef, kal bi and marinated chicken. All, so tender and flavorful. Little details, like the mushrooms, sweet potato and onions enhance flavors even further. You get what you pay for, quality, tender meats, veggies and sides. Well worth the pricing structure. I also love the ebi shumai and the veggie spring rolls. We come here often and will continue to do so. I am very thankful for such a great restaurant and it is also close to home.

Pretty typical Korean fare, no good or bad surprises I would say. This review is for their non-BBQ menu FYI. The BF and I shared the following: Hae mul pa jeon (seafood pancake) - 3/5 Solid pajeon served with a soy sauce. I think there could have been more seafood though. Banchan - 2/5 Some really sad looking ban chan (side dishes) unfortunately. We got bean sprouts, potato, kimchi, to name a few and nothing stood out. Jap chae - 4/5 I liked the freshness of the dish! It came out steaming hot. I wish it were a tad bit sweeter as I've had with jap chae from other places. Sun du bu chige (spicy tofu and seafood soup) - 4/5 Really good dish for a cold day. The seafood they included were about 3 small clams and several pieces of squid, so again I wished there were more seafood. But the tofu was tender and delicious and the flavor was nice. Bi bim bab with beef - 3/5 I'm not sure why, but the bi bim bab was a little disappointing. The flavor of everything was slightly muted even after dumping all the sauce in. Overall there was nothing wrong with the food, but I feel like I have cooked Korean dishes at home that I've liked better (as blasphemous as that sounds).

This was an interesting experience, and the food was delightful…read more We ordered takeout through their online website, and it was a pretty seamless experience. I tried one of each flavor of chicken for the cupbap, and it was tasty and fresh. Though as a self proclaimed spice wimp, the sweet and spicy was just a bit beyond my tolerance. Still, I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it by picking what flavors I wanted. The beef bulgogi kimbap was another winner that tasted fresh and delightful, and while the rice cake kkochi had a very lovely chewy texture, the spice level was just a bit much for me. Oddly enough, the first time I ordered, they messed up my cupbap. Extra annoying considering I had ordered take out and only noticed something was wrong once I was safetly settled back at my desk (I 100% could have checked before I left the restaurant so that bit's on me). I immediately called the restaurant to explain what had gone wrong, and they were incredibly apologetic and wanted to make it right for me immediately. They offered to refund me or make me something fresh. I opted for the latter. Honestly, they went above and beyond to make things right for me, and mistakes happen, so to see a business so plainly own their mistake and make up for it is always a plus in my book. I'll be back. That cupbap made my stomach happy.

K Bunsik is a pretty new establishment; having only been open for 3 months. My husband and I went…read morethere for his birthday, after seeing a video review of the place. We were surprised at its location, as it is a few doors down from a breakfast place we have frequented. We laughed at how we don't really pay attention to the other places in that complex.... The fare is Korean street food, which is a bit different than what one would get at a typical Korean restaurant. The decor of K Bunsik is very simple, with cutesy murals on the wall. There was an array of tables & chairs that were well-spaced, and the chairs were comfortable. When you sit at your table, there is a touch screen menu from which you order your food. The menu was a little confusing, for we were not familiar with the system. We asked a waitress for help and she showed us the easy way of finding the description of the menu items (yes, we felt a little foolish LOL). We ordered the Tabletop Ttoekbokki Set for Two, which came with fried dumpling, fried seaweed, soup and pickled relish sides, and drinks. We also ordered Kimpbap, which is a bulgogi sushi roll, and we ordered fried chicken with soy garlic sauce because .. why not? There was a slight snafu because we ordered the Kimpbap without egg (allergy) but it came with egg anyway. They corrected the mistake right away. However, the Ttoekbokki had two boiled eggs in it, which was not listed in the description. Because they were already hard boiled, my husband fished the eggs out and there was no harm/no foul. I realize now that the Ttoekbokki Set will not have a description of the stew on the menu, but if you look at Ttoekbokki à la carte, it does list the egg. Regardless, like the Kimpbap there should be the option to remove egg - or put it on the side. The food was excellent! The Ttoekbokki was cooked at our table (after we took out the egg). It consisted of a spicy broth with fish cake, rice cakes, cabbage, green onions, and glass noodles. The fried dumplings and seaweed rolls were filled with glass noodle japchae, and were an awesome treat. The Kimpbap was delicious, and the chicken was perfectly crispy, sweet, and spicy. Just when we thought the meal couldn't get any better, the chef (?) / manager (?) came out and offered to upgrade our remaining broth with cream. Holy moly, it was good! Just when we thought our meal couldn't have gotten better! The chef then gave us tips on how to best enjoy our meal, such as using the Ttoekbokki broth as a dipping sauce for our dumplings. I also dipped one of my Kimpbap in it.... Yum yum! For drink choices I picked Coke but then, I accidentally chose "Milkis" as our other option. It is described on the can as a cream soda, but then says "milk & yogurt" on the can. My husband decided to be the adventurous one and take it, but he offered me a swig. I braced myself for what I imagined would be a fizzy curdled nightmare. Let's just say I ordered my own Milkis and the Coke I ordered came home with us unopened (LOL). Milkis literally tastes like cream soda - like Faygo, A & W, or the like - only better. There were no dessert offerings that we saw but frankly, our bellies probably would have burst had we tried to eat any. The price was very reasonable and we had a lot of leftovers to bring home. I can't say enough about how good K Bunsik's food is. The decor is simple and the seating is comfortable. There were no time limits on our enjoyment. Great experience that we will definitely be repeating!

However, I firmly believe the restaurant gave me food poisoning, either from the oysters in the radish salad or the lettuce leaves that were a little expired. For my dinner, I ordered bossam (pork wraps). The banchan (side dishes) the meal came with included radish kimchi, napa cabbage kimchi, potato salad, and seaweed salad, which were all delicious. The bossam itself came with a set of red leaf lettuce, mussangchae (radish salad), ssamjang (soybean dipping sauce), raw garlic and jalapeno, and a saeujeot (salted shrimp) mixture. Notably, some portions of the lettuce leaf did seem past their prime and were soggy or mush. All in all, I enjoyed the entire meal, especially the mussanchae which unusually had oysters in it. What I did not enjoy was the entire week I spent on the toilet after I ate the meal. Had I not been food poisoned, this restaurant would easily have been a 5/5. Because of this and despite the health concerns, I am willing to give the restaurant another shot. The other food options seem very enjoyable.
