STAY AWAY! This venue came highly recommended by numerous friends for my sister's wedding, which is why she decided to go with them, BUT BOY WAS THIS A DISASTER FROM THE START.... While I understand these are unprecedented times, Biagio's or "The Terrace" needs to re-vamp their team members and put some new policies and procedures into place. They were all over the place. There was no communication between managers and staff members or manager to manager... Our party was given 5 different people and none of them communicated with each other, we kept having to repeat our questions and requests multiple times... and they still didn't get anything right. Everyone was rude and nasty and didn't accommodate our guests simple requests..... My sister's wedding date was originally schedule for March, but due to COVID they had to change it. WHICH IS COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE, BUT THAT ISN'T EVEN THE ISSUE. It was then switched to May and then finally August. We originally had 70 guests attending, but narrowed it down to about 25-26 guests. We were told that there were no packages being offered for weddings at the time we had to re-book... FINE.. we went with à la carte menu.. which was the only option we had. The original wedding package included a cake to be covered by Biagios, but they advised my sister 5 days prior to her date, that they were not covering the cake because she didn't get a wedding package. When we told the woman "but you said there weren't any packages being offered" she stumbled on her words and said she was going to get back to us... NEVER DID... so fine we brushed that off, paid for our own cake being the understanding people that we are... Then, there were communication issues regarding music. We were not informed that we had to bring our own speaker for ceremony music until 2 DAYS PRIOR. We then asked about first dance music, we were told "someone will get back to you" received nothing.... we planned for our own music... Now we are at the day of the wedding.... The florist that we hired had showed up to the venue quite early around 10:30 -11 am because she wanted to set up and leave time to get to her next appointment.....She called us and complained that the staff was a mess and rude and said they told her that she couldn't set anything up because we didn't tell them where things were going and she was too early... I WAS THERE the day prior to drop off decor and I advised them of everything that was coming and how we wanted it set up... BUT that wasn't communicated so i had to call and repeat myself yet again... The manager says to me "oh no one told me anything so I didn't know where it was supposed to go" I had him on speaker and our makeup and hair ladies said that he was disgustingly rude to me. YOUR JOB AS A MANAGER IS TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING GOES SMOOTHLY and the bride isn't panicking about these things. You should also make sure your team communicates everything to you or at least call the bride and groom to the day prior to confirm placement and go over the set up one more time... we received none of that... Finally, we get to the venue only to be told we can't use the bridal suite because there is a 200 person sweet sixteen taking place outside and she needed to get ready in the suite... We had to sit in someones office... CRAZY... not only that, but the groom and then groomsmen had to wait by their cars in the heat so that my sister wasn't seen.... MESS. We weren't allowed air-conditioning in the Grand Ballroom for our elderly guests. One of the groomsmen had to ask the owner for the AC and got a nasty response in return... I don't understand how they accommodated outside seating for a 200 person SWEET 16, when we were told we couldn't have a 70 guest set up outside.... THEN, we get upstairs to the roof top expecting to be sectioned off... NO we had to eat with regular diners... granted we were away from everyone but it wasn't private AT ALL.. The sun was beaming on us and when we asked to have some of the umbrella's moved to help with the sun, we were told "Pretend it's Europe" or some snarky remark.... Some dinners came out hot, some warm, some cold, drinks were OK. The cappuccinos came out cold..... the cake came out without a topper.... they had to go back and look for it... truly a mess. There were so many problems and so many things that went wrong due to lack of communication on Biago's end that I truly don't understand why people recommended this place. It was a god awful experience! Not sure how they've managed to stay afloat for so many years..These people were so nasty and it is such a shame because it's a beautiful venue... Again, stay away from this place! Go somewhere that actually cares about their brides and their grooms and has staff that is pleasant. read more

After years of this being on my top three list I attended a retirement party here. As usual the food was splendid; however the drink prices were truly excessive which surprised me. The most troubling thing to me was for a premium price I was drinking bar rack liquor at a premium price. Not Nice at all. Just what I thought would happen when they expanded is happening. PARKING** There is a monstrous issue with parking and it is left unattended for the customers to sort out. There was some type of high school or youth event and they blocked the north lot from leaving for fifteen minutes at the very least and had the southbound lane of Paramus Road completely blocked for an eighth of a mile as well. I have been coming here for years and I'm surprised I didn't write a review sooner. From hanging at the bar with friends to private parties I think its safe to say I've experienced all the Biagio's has to offer. The most recent time I was here besides the other night for drinks was for my grandmothers repass service. It was held in one of the back rooms with the side entrance. Being that this was not exactly a great reason to be going to eat we all made the best of it and the service and food Biagio's served really helped to brighten our spirits. We did a buffet for this occasion and there was so much food and it was all delicious and better than I expected. The wait staff was very attentive and kind. My favorite was the penne vodka and the chicken francese. The vodka sauce was so flavorful and the chicken was perfectly moist. Really tasty food overall. The bar scene is your typical experience large area with plenty of seating a few tables to the side and some really tasty bar food. The pizza is pretty good and I tend to order a bar pie when I do go there. I don't frequent here often being I hate running into my entire high school for the most part I go on an off night when my friends drag me there. But if were going to eat I'm always down. Overall great place to come for dinner and for a special occasion. I have yet to check out the addition they put on but am looking forward to it. read more

Went here for Easter Brunch. Spent $50 a head for cold food, an overcrowded room with one exit and bad service. The lines were ridiculous to get food. As we left a second seating was coming in blocking the entrance which made it difficult to get out. Then we went downstairs to wait 25 minutes for our car since it was mandatory valet parking. A bad idea to come on Easter, the place was obviously PACKED. They used their smaller ballroom to fit everyone in but seemed to be short staffed for the holiday. My first time coming to Biagio's and I'm not gonna lie, probably my last as well. The ballroom was very old school Italian. Nothing really fancy about the place at all. Seems to fit about 100-150 people with a bar at the front of the ballroom. Being that we made late reservations, it seemed like they literally threw our table on the corner of the dance floor just to fit our family. Our waiter seemed to have been waiting on well over a quarter of the room, with more than at least 5 people per table. Our food came out at a timely matter considering how busy they were. Food : firstly, we started off with fried calamari and steamed mussels. Nothing really exciting to talk about here. The mussels were small with a bunch of empty shells and the calamari was your typical fried calamari you'd try at any other Italian restaurant. I ordered the lamb chops which came with three chops, mashed potatoes, and veggies. There was nothing amazing about my dish. I was skeptical in ordering lamb because not a lot of places can cook Lamb to perfection. It was decent and edible, but not the best I've ever had. My husband ordered a 21oz steak which looked like it could feed a country. Again, typical steak with no real 'wow' factor to it. The crab meat ravioli that was homemade was also another option at the table. I tried a piece and I was not impressed. The dough (?) to make the ravioli was kinda hard, but they were generous with the crab meat and the amount of pieces of ravioli they provided (given the fact that a lot of places only give you 5-6 pieces of ravioli). With the generous amount on my plate, there was absolutely no room for dessert. Staff : our waiter definitely did the best he could waiting on that many tables. He was quick to please when our request was forgotten but seemed to have disappeared once the crowd faded. It took a while to get the check and he was missing for quite some time as Easter lunch started dissipating. We finally asked some other waitress to give us the bill since they were really holding us up. I would probably give the staff a 3 out of 5 star because they were so busy. I didn't expect the waiters to be perfect but they were definitely attentive and polite. Overall I wouldn't really suggest this place to anyone. I've never been to the restaurant not on a holiday so I'm not sure how the regular service is. The food portions were generous and probably worth the money they charge per meal. I would however probably suggest going to another Italian restaurant that has more of a unique twist to their food choices. I don't think I'll come back for a regular night out unless I was invited to do so. Was here for a private party on the second level. Biagio's located at an interesting strip of Paramus Rd that has a smattering of restaurants in a mostly suburban area, away from the malls and highways. Not hard to find though, and plenty of parking. The restaurant's décor is old and a little outdated. The event room we were in had old-school wallpaper and some of those "Starving Artists" art of picturesque locations. When we were there on Sunday their actual bar and restaurant area was very quiet, with most of their businesses being the events they were hosting. The service was good. The wait staff was very attentive, and cleared our plates pretty promptly for the buffet dinner. The food could have been better. For an Italian restaurant, ironically their best dish was the paella, which was wonderfully garlicky with awesome seafood. Unfortunately, their Italian meat dishes (pork and chicken) were a miss - overcooked and dry. Everything else was pretty average, reminiscent of a pizzeria takeout joint. It's a safe bet for the type of private event that you just want to get over with on (what I'm guessing) is a reasonable budget, but it's certainly not a place I'd book to wow or impress my guests. The food is horrific, the service is less than acceptable and to boot, my child attended a prom there this past Saturday and they were crammed in a small room . My wife and I had dinner on the roof this afternoon and while we had good experiences in the past, today was markedly different. The service was lacking as well as the food. The waiter was slow, making us feel that we were imposing upon him. After several minutes we had to ask for water, bread, and when coffee was provided we were'nt asked if we needed milk/cream. My coffee was almost cold by the time I got the Half and Half. My food was altogether not good. The salmon was OK, but the half piece of corn and the potato ( the two vegetables ) were most likely made early in the day and microwaved. My wife had a seafood "special" ( lobster tail;shrimp;scallops ) that she said was barely edible. She too had the same corn and potato. The water was tasty. read more

Came on a Tuesday night for a quick bite! John was one of the nicest bartenders I have ever encountered. My beer was served in a chilled glass without asking and he even had a great Spotify country/rock playlist going! The menu is mainly Italian, but they have a menu exclusively for the bar. I had a craving for wings. When they came out, they had so much meat almost the size of drumsticks. The crunch and flavor on these wings was worth every dollar. A group of ladies behind me had ordered Crostinis so I was tempted to try those as well. I just hosted my sisters bridal shower here. We chose Biaggios because it was a favorite spot growing up and location of our track/XC banquets from PHS and have a lot of great memories here! I am thrilled with the decision and the team was incredibly helpful with me planning everything from California. Kait was super responsive and helpful ahead of time, and day of Frank was more than we could have asked for. We showed up early and Frank and his team helped carry everything in and set up super quick. The complimentary bridal chair, wishing well, and champagne punch were all a huge hit with our guests. We had 7 adults and 2 young children, after taking our drink order which the waiter only took 5 drink orders and bypassed the last two then gave sarcasm to my wife when was told he forgot the last two adults. Later on ordered more drinks and had to keep reminding about our drinks. Said were very busy for easter when around 8 was only half full then the minute you put your fork down they would take your plate without even asking if you were done. I recently had my baby shower there with around 47 people. The service was not so great. They only provided me with ONE waiter, which obviously wasn't enough. How can one server accommodate 6 different tables? I constantly had to get up to ask for refills of water/mimosas, etc. They charge a 20% gratuity up front and then again another 20% gratuity for the alcohol consumed (which was self- served). I feel ripped off. Don't get me the wrong, the food was amazing and when the server was actually in the room he was super attentive, but one just wasn't enough. Came here on a weekend for lunch and I thought it would be very busy (so I made a reservation beforehand) but there ended up being many empty tables when we came in so we got to choose where to sit. We ordered the B's Blue Burger and the Penne Vodka and both were so delicious. I asked for the burger with no mushrooms and to add bacon and it was so delicious. If you're not a fan of blue cheese, you might not like this burger, but it was really amazing and the pickled onions added a really nice touch. The burger also came with fries and fried onions on the side which were so delicious and such a huge portion for the size ($14). The penne vodka was also really delicious and was a very generous portion. I don't remember the price but it was also fairly priced for the portion. My family and I came to Biagio's for Thanksgiving dinner because my 89 year old grandmother lives locally. We were seated for 2pm only soup and salad served at 4pm. The whole family had tried to flag down to server, who kept nodding and acknowledging that we need her but never actually came around till we got the manager. The manager preceded to tell the table to "be patient because it's everyone's Thanksgiving" when we shared with her that we were completely outraged and still had no turkey. After the "complaint" it took 45 minutes to receive a dry turkey with no sides. It took another 20 minutes for them to notice we had no sides or gravy at all. The manager came by again looking frazzled and annoyed. Everything we asked for (like water and usual things like more gravy or mashed potatoes) was responded with an annoyed angry response. When the check came they took off 2 appetizers and a bottle of wine for our struggles, but that didn't seem like enough after what we endured with them for 4 hours. We were all outraged and angry. My family, extended family, and I came here for the Thanksgiving dinner special (it was close to my grandfathers nursing home). It was less than subpar. The actual meal included a carved turkey, stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes, veggies with cranberry sauce and gravy and if you wanted appetizers you could choose from a selection for $12 a piece. We ordered mozzarella cheese (ok), shrimp cocktail (did not serve enough sauce), and stuffed mushrooms (the only tasty thing but it was served cold). The only poor server for our 11 party table forgot my tea and coffee. My dad found a piece of plastic in his salad. Service was terrible, there did not seem to be any kind of coordination when the actual meal was served- we ended up getting 8 plates of turkey while only receiving 2 or 3 side dishes. The actual turkey meat was carved decently and tasted fine, but the boat of burnt gravy that took 10 minutes to arrive ruined everything on my plate! They used canned cranberry sauce but it was mashed up to give the appearance of something made fresh. Potatoes (both sweet and plain) were under seasoned and bland. My brothers said they were pleased with their carrot cake/cheesecake. My pumpkin pie tasted like something store bought. The dinner ended up costing $600 for 11 people with appetizers and no booze - NOT worth it at all. Save your money. read more
