We love Biagio's. We haven't been here in months but forgot what a decent meal you get when you come to Biagio's. We always like to sit at the bar and have a cocktail before dinner. The bar area is always conducive for sitting, watching the game and hanging out. You can even eat dinner at the bar as well. We have done that often. At the bar we had our usual Cas Amigos Margarita on the rocks no salt. Always good, especially in the hot days of September (or any day for that matter ). Than we went to our table. We started off with the calamari and a good glass of Red Cabernet. Always a good choice. The calamari was as it always is.....delicious! Veal parm chop on the bone is huge and never disappoints. The Paparadelle Bolognese was very good too. Save room for dessert. Their cheesecake and a good decaf cappuccino....perfect way to end an evening and a good meal! read more

We have been going here for many years and have always liked. Today was different. Look over you bill when you receive it. Gratuity (20%) was added to the bill when it was only 2 of us not a party of 7. If I hadn't looked over the bill, might have added additional tip. Plus of course additional charge for using a credit card instead of cash. Server said it was a mistake and they would reissue bill but we weren't convinced it was an error. It was my boyfriends turn to pick where we were going for date night- & surprise surprise he picked another Italian restaurant lol. There was happy hour going on, including specials on drinks & apps. Don't bother with the appetizers- I tried some kind of salmon egg rolls and they were ice cold inside. The menu has some good options. Including some delicious fish entrees (I looooveeee seafood). I immediately regret not ordering the homemade lobster ravioli. I ended up getting the penne ala vodka and it was alright. My bf ordered the veal parm and the dish was bigger than his head. Stupid us sat in the bar area and the service wasn't the greatest but the place was wicked busy. I recommend sitting in the dining area. I attended this restaurant for Valentine's Day Weekend with 11 of my girl friends as we celebrated each other for the holiday. The staff was very attentive and the management made sure that we were well taken care of. A few of the ladies had the Stuffed Shrimp and loved it. I had the Lamb and if you are a meat lover, get this Lamb! It was so delicious, perfectly seasoned and paired well with the Risotto that was out of this world. My mom and sister recently threw my a surprise bridal shower here, and it couldnt have been more perfect. My sister told me that they worked with her to make sure that everything worked out from seating to the last minute cake change. The room was a bright, happy space. Food was top-notch. Came for the first time and we had a fantastic experience! Would absolutely recommend to anyone who's never been! Our server and the manager were kind and accommodating. We got a few options, the chefs chartrudery board and two crostini's (artichoke/pesto and ricotta/honey) and got a risotto dish and a pappardelle boulinese dish. HUGE for a fair price. I've only heard excellent reviews from my fellow EMS organizations that need a venue for dinners and awards. I am so thankful we did. We had everything ready when we walked in as requested, Zach was our amazing maître d'. It was very little we needed to tell him. He was always one step ahead of whatever we would anticipate needing. We had a large party so that's why my rating is 3 stars instead of 2. Service: so so rushed. Some people from our party were 30 min late to the resv so I get it. But it gave us so much anxiety that we had to order on the spot and constantly being reminded we were late and behind and there's not enough time for everything. Food: nothing special. Calamari was fried well but needed salt and seasoning. The tomato and mozzarella app was not good. The tomatoes were not ripe and the mozz was hard. Short rib entree was good. My prom was held here. We had a great time! The inside of the hall was beautiful. The ceiling was lit blue, with sparkling chandeliers. I've heard rave reviews of the food, so I was quite surprised at what we received. I have a feeling my high school chose a discount package, so I don't entirely blame the restaurant. We arrived at the end of the cocktail hour, but this food looked much better than the dinner. There was pasta, calamari, and antipasto. We started the meal with salads. I'm not sure what was it them (it was dark), but it was quite plain. My boyfriend & I had the chicken francese. The sauce was very heavy, so we only ate the vegetables. For desert, we had a platter of canolis and eclairs, these were good. I don't think my experience gave me a fair judgement of Biagio's food, so I'd like to give it another try! read more

As a Bergen County resident, I don't know what took me so long to check out Biagio's. My friend and I went for dinner and sat outside in their heated tent. Their tent is beautifully decorated for the holiday season and it was kept nice and warm! It's under 40° outside and inside the tent was nice and cozy; we didn't even need our jackets. The service was outstanding and the food came out super quickly. Our waiter was super nice and friendly. We both enjoyed our delicious meals, especially the warm fresh garlic bread they serve dinner with. During an unprecedented time, as a small business owner myself, I feel strongly about supporting local businesses. Biagio's goes above and beyond making the best out of this situation and does everything they can to ensure the safety of their customers. I had reservations for thanksgiving. When I arrived there is nobody there to greet you so I had no idea how to go about letting them know we are here. The service was subpar. The server never came to see if anything else was needed or how the food was. I looked at the menu griot to going but when we get the menu's everything is exactly 10$ more than the menu online. 34$ for Chicken Parm REALLY! So each meal came with a tiny bowl of turkey soup. We had a bunch of turkey carcass bones in the soup. The wife ordered the turkey dinner. Well it looked like a ton of turkey until you took the two supper thin slices off and realized it was stuffing underneath so it made it look like a bunch of turkey. The turkey was good though. What I found funny is that they gave her cranberry sauce and it was literally a teaspoon or less worth. My chicken parm was good but they gave me an infant's portion of ziti which was so dry no sauce. Why be cheap with the least expensive items. That always aggravates me. I ordered a margarita and it was gross so I sent it back and the second was gross. The meals came with dessert hahahaha no lie one normal slice of cheesecake was cut into 4 pieces. Today I met a business partner for lunch. Although very busy we were seated right away and attended to by the wait staff. The real issues I experienced and reasons on this occasion I can only give two stars are as follows: Of the two lunch orders mine included a salad which I specifically requested no onions and balsamic vinaigrette. Upon the arrival of salad it had onions on it and throughout. I sent the salad back immediately due to the onions. Upon its return and upon tasting the salad they had used red wine vinegar dressing instead of balsamic vinaigrette. Although frustrated I ate the salad due to the limited I had for lunch w/my business partner. After finishing lunch we ordered two espressos. Upon arrival they were lukewarm and did not drink mine. This was enough for me, two stars it is. The irony in all of this is the consistency in the wait staff. The waiter who took all orders whether food or drink also served us as well. So there should not have been any ambiguity in our requests nor such poor quality of food and espresso. Let's see what happens on the next occasion. read more

The second owner who called offered a $200 gift card, and then in the same breath asked us to take down our negative review, "if we wanted to, he couldn't force us; he'd appreciate it as a favor". Yes, you read that right! My original review stands below. I had a really crumby experience with Biagios this Sunday for my fiancé's bridal shower for the following reasons: 1. My fiancé dealt with about 4 different people when trying to coordinate the shower. She was involved because her grandma was paying for it, and she was doing the leg work. Every time My fiancé spoke with someone, it was like she was wasting their time. Including the owner Athena. I just... It was terrible. 2. My fiancé came with my 87 year old grandma to look at the room. She scheduled the date ahead of time, making it clear she wanted to see the room. Athena told her when she arrived that there was a party going on in the room and that she was going to be intruding on someone's party and to not do that. My fiancé said "well if I knew there was a party, then I wouldn't have come. Why did you schedule me to come in at this time?" Afterward when doing the paperwork, Athena had no place for my fiancé and her grandma to sit. No office. No tables. They basically had to stand until they were put at a restaurant table and rushed out. We were paying nearly $2k for a shower and it's like they couldn't wait for us to leave. 3. The week before the shower my fiancé and I went to drop off the check. We got to our appointment early. They had the changes to our contract wrong, were unprepared,and rushed us out. It wasn't until we were about to leave when another person said "I'm going to be taking care of you on Sunday." We had no idea who this was. We had asked the woman we previously sat with if there were table numbers, she said no. If there were easels, she said no. Who our day of coordinator was going to be, she said Omar. Then our came a man named Zach who told us he was our day of coordinator. We explained what we just experienced and our confusion and re-asked our questions. Come to find out all of the information given to us not ten minutes prior by the woman we spoke to was wrong. Completely wrong. The inconsistency is just bonkers. 3. The day of. We explicitly put in the contract we wanted a wishing well. We literally saw the wishing well with Zach (our day of coordinator) the week before. He said he would have it painted before the shower. He then told my party there was no wishing well because it wasn't in our contract so the owners gave it to another party occurring that day. I complained to Zach and his assist then found one half way through the party. It was useless at that point. 3a. The food was stale. The croissants, bagels, waffles. It was terrible. How embarrassing!? Hard as rocks. Stale as hell. The food was delayed in coming out. We had guests bringing up their dishes to the servers because they weren't clearing plates. Waiters brought out dessert pastries, but no plates. I had to ask for plates for the dessert. It was just so, so unorganized and crap. We went to Biagios because everyone talks about it and it's all about the name and big Bergen county folks go there. I don't know. Not impressed at all. read more

Beautiful setup on the roof! They have a beautiful setup for outdoor dining. There is a fountain, there are umbrellas, string lights. The food was average. It was not bad, don't get me wrong. But it didn't impress us to the point where we really wanted to return. The menu is limited - it reminds us of wedding menus (well it is a wedding venue). However, perhaps we just ordered the wrong items or it was an off night. The ambience was so lovely, I think it would warrant a return visit to order different dishes and see - that chicken parm looked pretty amazing at another table. I had the filet mignon and DH had the pork chop and both were slightly overcooked. I ordered medium rare and it came back medium- and I like my steak with some blood, so I was disappointed. I can't send food back because my DH embarasses easily- I have no doubt at all that they would redo it in a heartbeat, so I am not faulting them. They have plastic glassware, and that is a pet peeve of mine. I guess they do that because it is outdoors, but we have been other places recently and they all had glassware. I know it sounds snobby, but I hate drinking wine from clear plastic solo cups. But the wine list is nice. Their setup is great. They have more than 6 feet separation between tables, so you can feel very comfortable here. The staff all wore masks (properly too). There was a 5 gallon jug of hand sanitizer at the door. All doors were open, so you don't need to touch any. The service was good. They had sufficient staffing which is not a given during these times. Clearly this place was managed well. They are a well oiled machine. There is a serving station nearby so the staff is not forced to run a 1/2 mile for everything inside, there was a cook station on the roof, so the staff didn't have to run to the kitchen for everything. The manager was walking around checking on all the diners - based on our other recent experiences at other restaurants (we had to wait an hour at our table for a drink one place!), and seeing the well run experience here (which we can't take for granted anymore, right?), I honestly think the she should be given a raise and a bonus. This is going to be our new go to restaurant. I was expecting it to be good but it was AMAZING. My boyfriend is a chicken parm connoisseur and this is his new top pick. The lobster ravioli was awesome! Drinks, the processo cooler was excellent and dessert was great too! We will 10000% be back. And best part we weren't rushed, our waiter was awesome. Biagio's is a local spot in my town. I've been here a bunch of times for a multitude of reasons. So, I'm going to review Biagio's 3 different ways: as a bar, an event space and a restaurant. Bar: Great 5 stars. Drinks are reasonably priced. Bartenders are nice and attentive. There's a happy hour after work. Not much else to do here activity wise but order a bar pie. The pizza is pretty good. Event space: 4 stars. I've only ever been to the area above the bar. It's spacious. Can fit like 50 or so people. Food is good. Staff is always around to help and change out trays when necessary. The prices for all the food was reasonable and the options were great as well. Restaurant: 3 stars. The food is ok. I like it but it's not the best Italian food in the area. Service is good though. I come here because it's convenient. All in all, I frequent Biagio's the most as a bar. It's a chill spot to come and have a drink. But if I need to throw a party, I'd have it here as well. read more

I've gone here several times. Either on a romantic date with my boyfriend, or with family. It has never disappointed. The ambiance is lively but also very cozy. It's a place you can grab a drink or two with friends at the bar, or sit down in their dining room for an excellent 3 course meal. The service has always been impeccable. For example, tonight, I went out with my father and a family friend for a nice meal. When my lobster ravioli came out, I was in the bathroom, and without asking they brought it back in the kitchen to keep it warm until I returned. Our server was phenomenal with recommendations on the menu, the manager came over several times to check on us and make sure everything was okay. Then even at the end of the night offered us free limoncello shots. I highly recommend this place! They never disappoint. read more

The price represent the quality of the place. This party of four had shrimp scampi, lamb chops, and rib eye. The taste did not disappointed at all. Service was very assessable.
