Unsurpassed service! My 2014 Lincoln MKX developed a leak from the front axle which was causing fluid to hit the exhaust and give off a terrible odor. After a failed attempt to get the issue resolved at another dealer (I reviewed them as well), I brought my car to Bickford Ford's service department. They were cordial, and professional. They were also backed up for two weeks as I think everyone else in the area has figured out that they are the best Ford/Lincoln dealer in the area by far. I was greeted by a true gentleman by the name of Kyle Roberts. He listened to my description of the issue and informed me that though they were backed up, he would try to squeeze my vehicle in at the earliest opportunity. Expecting a delay of two weeks, I left my Lincoln with them and went home in a rental. Less than a week passed, and I got a call from Kyle, letting me know that my vehicle was repaired and ready to go, saving me the cost of a rental for a week. They even gave the car a bath while it was there. I can't begin to tell you how refreshing it is to deal with a dealer that still exemplifies professionalism and customer service. Seriously disappointed with this dealership. I have bought a truck here before, and had no strong feelings about the transaction one way or another. Salesman Dan Hudson treated me well enough, and it was a pretty simple transaction. This past weekend my uncle in yakima found a 2016 f150 on their website, and asked me to check and make sure the truck was still on lot. I did, and recommended that he call and talk to Hudson. After securing financing with his own credit union he called, and proceeded to get the runaround. Hudson did not deal with my uncle in spite of the fact that I gave him a heads up, though he was aware of the conversations. Sales staff all but refused to work with my uncle, and at one point told him (and at another point Hudson told my wife) that they weren't willing because there just wasn't any money in it for them. My uncle was even willing to drive over from Yakima with a check in hand for the asking price, but was told that the price would probably go up overnight. To recap, this was a sale price on last year's model, my uncle was willing to pay the asking price with no haggling and had already obtained financing, and the salesman was so unhelpful that my uncle finally just gave up and took his business elsewhere. I've bought a truck here before, but it won't happen again. Brief edit-Hudson called my wife to complain that his name was included in this review, and state that he never actually dealt with my uncle, though he was clearly aware of the entire situation. I have edited this review to reflect that. During this call, Hudson admitted that the dealership could indeed have worked with my uncle. This review is for Randy Schmidt in the service department. He is one of the nicest and most honest man you will ever meet in the car fixing industry. (Sorry, I am female and don't know the correct term). My mom and I have been coming to see Randy for nearly a decade and never once has he tried to get us to fix anything that didn't needed fixing. In fact, on occasion, I was too lazy to "come back in 5000 miles" so I just had Randy fix whatever was wrong and he outright refused citing that it would be "a waste of my money". Service Review: I received a letter that my truck had a recall on the transmission about a year ago. I brought it in a few weeks later and was told, after a full day in the shop, that because it's a Roush, the recall didn't affect me. Fast forward to the last week of July and while driving the truck shifted down into third on the highway and wouldn't shift up or down. Pulled over, got it home and called Ford and they said it sounded like the exact issues for the recall. I called Bickford and said I need the truck looked at as it can't be driven and they should have fixed the issue a year before, but didn't. They said it'll be three weeks before they could look at it. I spoke to the supervisor and said they should stand behind their work and try to fit me in. He said I, "can take it to Anacortes to be fixed." I said, "your solution is for me to tow my truck over an hour away because you didn't do the service you were supposed to do?" He just said sorry, can't help you. I told him if the transmission is damaged now, due to their inaction, I was going to have some strong words for him. He said, "fine." And hung up on me. I wish I could find a trustworthy mechanic shop anywhere in the Seattle area. I'll certainly never return to Bickford. read more

A long-time, family run business that I respect but have a hard time liking. I bought a Ford Escape from Bickford - my first Ford and my first (and last) experience with both. 1 star for the service department. They have a color system that makes no sense. More than once, the other color service reps were standing around talking to each other about the latest movies while my color service rep was either busy or not around. And then came the broad-brush approach of "we checked it out and its fine...". When I asked for specifically what was checked and how was it measured, I got the run around. Unfortunately, the Escape has been towed in twice and there numerous other times... unfortunately. 4 stars for the parts department. Stranded in Oregon, the parts manager went on the phones and on-line to try and find a water pump. He called dealers in the area and really went above and beyond. Unfortunately, the closest was 3-days out. 3 stars for the sales team. I appreciate the no pressure approach but that became the excuse for "its not my problem..." later when it spent more time in the shop than on the road. Good people but taking zero accountability for the organization or for the product. no stars for the product - a Ford Escape. Water pump failed. Back window exploded due to the steel latch mounted directly to the glass. Brakes serviced twice only to learn that Ford uses soft metal in their brakes - so a complete brake swap the 3rd time. Cracked fuel tank. And that's just the "big stuff" - the little stuff and recalls list is 3x longer. Again, I appreciate Bickford as a family run company. But is seems they could sell furniture with the same brand loyalty or commitment they have shown to Ford. read more

On top of showing us Bickford's amazing inventory, he kept an eye out for any trade-ins that came in that day that met what we were looking for which allowed us to be first in line at trying them. We were easily able to test drive cars that interested us and he compared the finance breakdowns between our lower and higher priced favorites and stayed within our budget. However, when giving them info on our trade in- vin# etc and talked about price they really went low- not even close to KBB's resale value number. That to me is not good business. Service, done right. I brought my wife's 2004 Mountaineer in, to diagnose a cruise control problem. Specifically, holding down the coast button was causing the engine to stall. After going to Ford of Kirkland, and having a lousy experience (the service advisor was rude and condescending, the tech couldn't figure out what the problem was, and the advisor never even bothered following up), I was expecting that this would be my first of two trips to Bickford, one for the diagnosis, and one to get the repair done. Well, my experience was 180º from Ford of Kirkland. The service advisor was friendly and very engaged, and the technician was quick to say that he'd never heard of the problem that I was having, but seemed excited to try to figure it out. In all, I felt an immediate sense of commitment to solving the problem. About 90 minutes later, the service advisor came back, to tell me that not only had they figured out the problem, they were able to fix it! In all, the experience was great. One more side note: as I sat in the waiting area, which was located in the showroom, I watched as the sales staff came in for the day. They all greeted one another with a cheery "good morning." I don't know if they realize it, but it sends a strong message to customers about the team spirit that exists in the organization. read more

Sales associate was Dan Hudson for my purchase of new Ford Raptor. Sale went decent and we agreed on $67,000 for trade in and $4,000 over MSRP for Raptor. I get home and start looking at window sticker, I paid $4,900 above MSRP for the truck. What they committed to and I agreed on not matching up. I talk to Dan about this and he sends me sales contract from business manager, not the paper we hand wrote offer on. Funny they could not produce that!!! Secondly, I took down the tail gate the other day and there is minor scratches they used touch up paint to fix .... keep in mind this is new truck and they failed to share damage or fix appropriately. I will never again be taking any business to Bickford and wish I would have looked at Yelp reviews before today. read more

Purchasing a vehicle at Bickford may be ok, but I experienced very poor service after my purchase. When I brought my Ford Escape in for transmission issues under full warranty. My car was returned with 4 problems. Yes 4! My whole undercarriage cover was missing, one of my hood closing dampeners was also missing, my brake fluid reservoir was loose and hanging down, and yes I was driving the car that way for days, and last I found tools left in the car. I called Mike the service manager to explain and was told ( I stand by my mechanics, they are the best) obviously with 4 issues they need additional training. I would have preferred to here. Sorry this happened and I will take corrective action to double check work performed on all vehicles. I never did get my undercarriage cover replaced. Was told it never existed. My car was 4 years old with 60,000 miles on it and was in showroom condition under the car where the cover was. Bright clean metal with no dirt or aging. So obvious a cover was there from the factory. read more

We worked with Jake back in December to get me into my 2015 Edge, and he did a fantastic job, taking the time with me and crunching numbers to make sure I got into the one I wanted for a price I could afford. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new vehicle! A couple months ago I started having an issue losing USB power along with my Nav shutting off. Michael in Technology contacted me right away and went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of and that the problem was solved. My wife's car was serviced here just after the first of the year. I hesitated to write a review, but I overheard some of the mechanics discussing theft in their shop while I was at a local pub. My wife had an "emergency" $100 inside of a CD case in the console. Two days after her service visit it she found it was gone. We have no solid evidence, but a swiss army knife in the console was gone too. I would strongly advise to avoid this place until they get their house in order. Since my review was submitted I shared information with a representative and the name of the mechanic. I was able to speak with a nice lady who left Bickford. She re-affirmed that it is a problem, that the service manager knows it, and that even when caught with another employees items he remains in the shop. this may not be posted. I purchased a used Toyota FJ Cruiser from Bickford Ford last weekend and it was the best experience I've ever had at a dealership. Jeff Wing was my main contact from the start, when I sent in an inquiry form on their website to ask a question about the vehicle. He was very friendly and replied quickly. We had a few emails and texts back and forth and I planned to come see the vehicle two days later, should it still be available. Two days later, I confirmed the vehicle was still available with Jeff via text and headed over to see it. Jeff was fantastic. He was super friendly and personable from the start. He walked me over to the vehicle, gave me some specs, and then left me alone with the vehicle to look it over myself. It was really great, absolutely no pressure whatsoever. I took it out for a test drive and ended up loving the car. However, having had a bad experience at a past dealership, I wanted to sleep on it before I made a decision. Jeff respected and encouraged me to do what was right for me and applied no pressure whatsoever. He was kind enough to walk me through all the numbers to make sure we were on the same page in terms of cost, so I had everything I needed to think on things overnight. He did warn me that there was another person interested in the vehicle that had an appointment the next morning, but left it up to me if I wanted to purchase that night or not. In the end, I decided to go with my gut and sleep on it. However, I told Jeff that if I was still interested the next day, I would contact him to see if the other interested party had purchased the car. The next morning, after thinking everything over, I decided I was still interested in the car. I contacted Jeff and asked him to let me know if the other interested party didn't show up or was no longer interested. Luckily, the other party never showed! Jeff was awesome in his communication back and forth. I made a plan to come purchase the vehicle, but I did mention that I wanted to have a third-party mechanic do a buyer's inspection just to ease any final nerves. Jeff told me that Bickford has very high standards in terms of their maintenance of vehicles, but he also had no problem with me doing another third-party inspection. I found a place with some open availability in the afternoon and booked an inspection. Following that, I agreed to purchase the car based on the major mechanical inspection. Should there be any major issues, I would bring the vehicle back and the purchase would be off. Should everything be fine, I would drive away from the inspection happy in my new-used FJ Cruiser. Since I was paying cash, final paperwork for the FJ was quick and easy. There was no added pressure to add additional warranties or other options, though I was told about them and given an overview should I be interested. The employee in purchasing doing the final paperwork with me (wish I could remember his name!) was one of the most cheerful and friendly men I've ever met and made everything painless and easy! I have to say that Jeff was right about the quality of the maintenance done at Bickford. My third-party mechanic said this was one of the best used vehicles he has ever inspected and the only thing he could find "wrong" with the vehicle was that the e-brake needed a little adjustment and that the spare tire didn't perfectly match the other tires - ha! The mechanic said he would definitely purchase this car, 100%. I drove off happy in my FJ! Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Bickford. Buying a car can be hard and my previous bad experiences had me nervous going in, but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Jeff and the entire Bickford team were BEYOND awesome. I should also note that a non-profit I used to work for purchased a vehicle from Bickford in the past and we had a great experience with them at that time too - even 9 years prior! So I highly, highly recommend Bickford Ford and would 100% work with them again on the purchase of another vehicle in the future. read more

I have had regular service done here for many years. Most recently, I bought a set of new tires for my 2013 Escape in November. I started to have a slow leak in December, put air in it, and it continued to flash the alarm of low air. What the heck..brand new tires! So dropped in, explained the problem and they went to work on the one problem tire. Eric came back about 90 minutes later...explained that they checked all the tires and found a nail in problem tire but also checked all the other tires...by doing that extra work, they found another tire that had a nail in it and fixed it. First, Dan Hudson was fantastic he worked with me to find a vehicle to fit my budget without sacrificing many of the options I wanted. Second, it was insanely busy there yesterday but everyone remained pleasant. I took of 1 star because I was there, what felt like, forever. I told them that I had to leave by 3pm and ended up not leaving until four this being an hour late for a prior engagement. Just recently purchased a 2016 Fusion Energi and I have to say it was the best car buying experience I have had. We had purchased a used Escape for our daughter a few years back and that was a fine experience as well. When we arrived, one of the sales guys asked if we had purchased from them before, then looked up who we had dealt with and found Eric for us. We knew the vehicle we wanted and they laid out the bottom line best price deal right at the start (very different from what you expect from my dealings with other dealers who always seem to try to cheat you out of every last dollar). Our transaction was super smooth, worked through the paperwork and out the door in about an hour. At the end, I was introduced to Michael Holden (their tech guy) who was super helpful walking me through the Sync system and other controls and features. This dealership is almost like working with family. They make you feel comfortable from the start, and particularly if you have done your homework and know what you want as well as the value/invoice and incentives going in, it easy to see that they are straight shooters and will take good care of you. Went in to have my radio fixed under warranty. They said I would have to leave the car and they would check it every day to see what the symptoms were. After that they sent me home with a $5000 list of things wrong with my car. Felt like they were pushing me in to buying a new car. The salesman "Tucker" that I was in contact with was very disrespectful and basically ignored everything I communicated, played the "I have to talk to my manager" game, refused to let me speak and negotiate with the manager directly and insisted on trying to sell me the vehicle I was interested in above the Kelly Blue Book FAIR price. Both talking to him and the emails the dealership sent made me think I was interacting with robots simply following a script, not actual people who listen or care. They clearly operate using a very disrespectful and predatory business model based on the hopes of taking advantage of uninformed customers so they can sell at unfairly high prices. Overall a very unpleasant experience and a stark, bitter reminder that dealerships are only in it for what's good for them, not for what's fair or good for their customers. Dealerships like these are why people hate dealers and buying a car! After this experience I will never buy a car from here. As a first time car buyer, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, other than help from my parents and boyfriend. Bickford Motors has been my family's go to place for cars ever since I can remember. So, when it came time to buy a new car, there was only one place in my mind I needed to go first. Jeff Wing and Swede Johnson did not disappoint. Jeff was straight to the point and provided me excellent, detailed, no messing around answers. He never once pressure me into buying a car, but on the contrary, urged me to take a look around and be sure before handing over my life to a loan. While there was a slight hiccup in the purchasing process, that was definitely a "what the hell FORD" moment, Jeff and Bickford Motors, made sure I was taken care of the and the issue resolved as much as physically possible. It was smooth sailing from there! Matt Rice made sure I knew exactly where and how to find all of the features of my new Ford Focus Titanium, and did so in a educational and relaxed way. Service Department Customer Service extremely poor. Excuses and half hear-ted apologies continually given by Assist. Serv. Department Mgr. and GM Mike Bickford. Service Advisor assigned to my vehicle could not communicate clearly at all and was clueless even after being given specific intructions on work to be performed. No loaner cars provided, Vehicle Not worked on for 10 of the 21 days that the vehicle was there. No efforts made to secure any future business from me or to ensure steps would be taken to improve the poorly managed service department. Clearly, I was Not valued as a customer. Spent a large sum of money for service work and part of the work that was stated as fixed was not. Website mission statement relating to focus on customer service etc. completely not true. Over the weekend I was in Snohomish Washington to pick up a motorcycle, My Ford F350 pickup lost power and had a check engine light on. I called Bickford Ford to have my Pickup repaired and they said they couldn't look at it until March 14th, almost 3 weeks to even look at it and all they said was sorry should I put you on the schedule. I find it hard to believe that someone from 600 miles away with a break down can't get any help in the area. read more

So a couple months later when we needed to update a vehicle we went back to see Jeff Wing, we purchased an Escape for us/me. I enjoy the Escape especially the Blind Spot Warning. My Escape handles well on our winter roads conditions - wet, rainy or snow, ice. Soon after purchased, one of the tires ended up showing a major defect - Ford Company/Tire Brand didn't want to cover the replacement as it didn't meet their criteria YET Bickford/Jeff Wing stepped up and replaced the tire with no charge to us. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH BICKFORD FORD! I recently made an appointment for an engine diagnosis with Bickford ford that was supposed to take two hours. I waited two weeks for the appointment then dropped it off the night before to make sure they had time to do the job. They told me almost daily that my truck would be worked on the next day but they never got my truck in the shop for a week! They finally diagnosed the problem as a bad injector and replaced it. Then they told me that I needed to pay an additional $1000 plus to get another engine diagnosis to find out what the problem was that I originally told them to check out. They never kept their word or returned phone calls like they said they would. It cost me over $1000 for nothing!!! The problem still exists. WHAT A BUNCH OF RIP OFFS!!!!!! read more

Bickford Ford is not the same anymore. I purchased 2 vehicles from them in the past. Not too long ago I was in the market for a new F150 Platinum. I went to the salesman that helped me with my new Explorer purchase a couple of years ago. Gave him all the information of what I was looking for. Because their truck inventory was low (according to the salesman) he said he would see what he could find and get back to me. He never got back. So I went in to see a different salesman at Bickford. Same thing. Never got back to me. I went in a 3rd time and the second salesman assured me that he would get back. He never did. I guess they must be too busy. I really wanted to buy from Bickford but after 3 attempts, I got frustrated and went to a couple of other dealers. I went to Ford of Kirkland and also Ford in Bellevue (Autonation). Really great service at both. They actually wanted my business. By the way, my credit is in the 800's and I wanted to pay cash for the truck. Ford of Kirkland ended up having the truck I was looking for in stock. Their service department is great too. So they got my purchase. I recently called Bickford for a parts question. The person I spoke with was so absolutely rude. This is what prompted me to write this review. I will never go back to Bickford for service or purchase again. read more
