A German bar and restaurant, it's spacious, with plenty of TVs to catch up on your favorite sports. Staff is helpful and kind, and well, I was surprised to see female bartenders in a place that seemed mainly male-dominated. We came here for dinner with friends for the Tuesday "two for one" schnitzel night. They'd been here before and liked it, so that's what we all ordered. Veal is $25 for two; chicken is $23 for 2. Each plate includes 2 sides. We sat inside (with pre-made reservations) and got the last open/available table that had been set aside for us. There wasn't any entertainment on stage this night -- which I think would have improved the "beer garden" atmosphere. Service was friendly, but the kitchen and bar had a few minor problems -- they were still making my iced tea; they had to switch out kegs so it took a bit for two people to get their beers; and there were only two sides of mushroom (jaeger) "sauce" brought to the table -- and we were told we should share (!) until the other ones were ready. The two best parts of the meal (besides our delightful companions) were the traditional schnitzel and the desserts. Three of us got veal schnitzel and I got the chicken. Each piece of meat was pounded thin and lightly breaded. It covered half of our plates. The chicken was quite good. We each ordered (for $3) an added jaeger sauce. This was a bit disappointing. I love mushrooms and usually love this type of sauce. Our $3 got us a monkey sized dish of 3 small (canned) mushroom pieces in a watery liquid. We were going to cancel our 2nd delayed serving --which they brought us as we were finishing up our meals -- but didn't have a chance to do so. As for sides, we chose the usual red cabbage and spaeztl. These were just okay. Frankly, I've had a jarred variety of cabbage from Publix that was better. It just had no personality or flavor. The spaetzel was also a bit boring -- just plainly boiled bits of dough. I prefer mine sautéed with a little butter. In addition, neither side was above room temperature. The other very good part of the meal was the dessert. Although had I realized the cost ($11), I'm not sure if I would have ordered it. The Apple strudel was slightly sweet and had added caramel and whipped cream. The portion was large enough to share. I'm so glad we went. It's always fun to try some place new. Had a good meal here with friends! On a Tuesday night they were packed. Why, because its Two for One Schnitzel night. (Chicken or Veal with spaetzle and purple cabbage). You have to order a beverage so I ordered the grapefruit beer, 2.5 ABV, which I've had before and like. The veal schnitzel was good. The spaetzle was plain white with no sauce or butter. (You can order the brown mushroom sauce for a charge). The purple cabbage kraut was good and had a nice pickled tangy flavor. The Apple Strudel was delicious with a nice drizzle of caramel sauce on top. Parking is scarce as there are several restaurants sharing the area and you may have to walk a bit. The beer is a dark sweet tast, Simalier to a malt Beverage. The pretzel was hot soft and salty very tasty. The peirogis, was tasty Simalier to an empanada covered with Pineco bread Crums. All the sauce and butter is nothing like how the photo shows. The pretzel was soft and hot, very tasty. The Snitzel was okay... it just reminds me of a very cooked breaded steak. The apple fritter was the best dessert they had. Within the restaurant had many decorations of various arts and display that is good for a conversation starter when bring someone here on a date. It's the weekend and my favorite local band is playing. Had to drop by and support them and enjoy an Apple Cider beer. Sippin Fire is the only band around with an extraordinary lead singer who was opera trained at 8! No one else can compare. After listening to her sing, everyone else will sound like karaoke. Biergarten is cozy with an upper bar balcony for a small group, a beautiful large stage for live music. Parking is tricky on the the weekends, but doable. Their food is pretty great as well. I don't frequent this place often enough to know their daily specials, but know they are bar friendly. read more

I had the watermelon mule, potato leek soup and the chicken schnitzel with red cabbage, spatzle and jager mushroom sauce. The drink was good- a little more tart than I expected but thankfully it wasn't super sweet. The chicken schnitzel was very well done. Nice crispy fried coating- not too much coating and nice piece of chicken. The red cabbage was very good. More on the sour side, but every region makes it a little differently. The spatzle was good, especially mixed in the cabbage. The two standouts were the potato leek soup and the mushroom gravy. Even though the mushroom gravy costs an extra $3, it is totally worth it. I've never tasted a sauce like that and it was amazing. I wish it just came with the dish, because the dish is so much better with it. But it still was with the $3. The soup was a 10/10- amazing and the best potato leek soup I've ever had. I'd go back just for the soup. It's definitely cravable and something I'd get every time, no matter the weather. Service was good. We sat outside. It was not happy hour or special night so the place was not hopping like the other reviews talk about. Biergarten is a great place to try a variety of beers. I enjoyed the Banana Bread beer and would recommend it for something different. There is also an extensive menu. I tried the pierogis, nachos, brisket grilled cheese and the blackened chicken sandwich. The blackened chicken burger was my favorite, served with a creamy grain mustard aioli that tied all of the flavors together. I felt satisfied without feeling too bloated and the dish was not too greasy. Know that it gets very loud on a Saturday evening! They also have a stage where there is sometimes live music. read more

As a local, I like going to Biergarten. Go there for the casual atmosphere. Go there for the beer and pretzels. The service has always been good. Keep it simple. I ordered an entree, which was German-inspired at best. I didn't know you could ruin a bratwurst, but it's possible. I couldn't taste any seasonings, even garlic. The brat was so overcooked that it was curling on the ends. It was tough. The bun was also very burnt, so burnt that I couldn't even bite into it. They have indoor and outdoor seating and since it was a beautiful February night we decided to sit outside. When in a Biergarten.. one must have some beer. I usually go for a nice Irish red so the waiter pointed me to a beer that would be similar. I had the Salvator doppelbock. It's has 7.9% ABV, is smooth, and well worth the 8.00 for a pint. For dinner I ordered the Rottweiler. It is a beef and pork frankfurter that they top with shaved pastrami, bier cheese and sauerkraut. It comes with a side of fries but I substituted for a side of red cabbage instead. The frankfurter was delicious and I had no qualms about inhaling it in front of my friends haha. Walking around boca and seeing they had a Biergarten I was so excited but unfortunately disappointed in the German food served here. The pierogis were a different twist from typical polish pierogis I'm used to but there wasn't much flavor. What really saved the dish was aioli served on the side. What was the biggest disappointment was the schnitzel... the herbed spatzel didn't have much flavor and was dry and the jäger sauce I ordered which included a $3 up charge tasted watered down whereas I'm used to a thicker consistency. read more

We went in for dinner with friends on a Tuesday night (2 for 1 schnitzels!!). We ordered the veal, our friends; chicken. Both were nearly plate-sized and the veal, at least, was super tender and tasty. We ordered a side of their jagger sauce, for $3, which was good, and in my mind needed, as the schnitzel, with all of its delicious crust was a bit dry without it. Each dinner came with two sides, typically spatzel and braised cabbage, but you could change them up if you wanted. Their selection of beers was nice, and had a variety of German brews (of course) available in pint and 22 ounce pours. $9 for a pint draft was a bit steep, but I couldn't complain, given the 2 for 1 schnitzels. There were also bottles available. For dessert, we shared a pretzel with our friends. It came with three sauces to to dip in; mustard, beer cheese, and something else I don't recall 'cause I never got past the beer cheese! Our server, Eli, said it was only his forth day. It kind of showed a bit, but he made a really great effort. He did a real standup job but needs to learn a bit more about the beers they serve, specially the German varieties most folks might not be familiar with. Also, be aware that downtown Boca Raton is not known for its abundant parking. It's there, but often difficult to find sometimes. But it's only a short stroll from the Mizner Park free garage, so it's not that bad. read more

Came here for happy hour on Sunday with my lady and a few friends. First, let me say this: the setting is dope and staff were simply fantastic. They were all extremely kind and accommodating. I got nothing less than exceptional to say about the staff and the setting. Regarding the food and drinks, however - I was a little confused. The selection of food and drinks was diverse, no doubt, but they were out of 30% of their menu. Most of the beers that qualified for happy hour discounts were sold out, and they were also sold out of basic menu items, such as bratwursts and even things like avocado. For a Sunday night visit, I was surprised to see all those items missing. Furthermore, the food was remarkably bland. I think they may have been out of salt too.
