I personally only enjoyed some beers (with solid selection), I visited with friends that did order several food options worth commenting on and definitely sharing a review. The scotch eggs (hardboiled eggs made into a sausage ball) looked oh so good. Also apparently great was the chicken paprikash bowl and the fo schnitzel (think crispy fried chicken) sandwich. Lastly, garlic pepper season fries - they got two more orders of it! Solid drinks options! Multiple draft choices with 16, 23 and 34oz sizes but also had various cocktails and other drink options readily available and all quickly served! The experience here was great! The staff was so nice and attentive. It was very busy when we arrived so we sat at the bar and the bartender was so courteous and sweet! The beer selection is top notch as well. The only problem I had was lack of flavor in the food. My fiancé and I both order the schnitzel and it literally had no flavor at all. The breading was perfectly crunchy though! The mashed potatoes were pretty tasty though! We will be back to try it again. Our first time here. We came in just before 5 and the bar started filling up. Really cute place, lots of beer choices. I'm not a beer drinker and started with a reisling wine. My husband visited the men's room and saw a bloody Mary menu on the wall so I switched and had a spicy bloody Mary. It was good without too much spice. We started with the Tour de Keller appetizer which have 2 of everything on the menu with many different dipping sauces. I didn't care for the brushetta, the bread was too chewy. All of the other items were very good. My husband had the chicken schnitzel with spaetzel and sweet potato fries. He said that it was good but disappointed that a German restaurant didn't offer German potato salad. I had the chicken paprikash soup. This was very disappointing for me as I grew up eating paprikash. The soup lacked flavor,chicken and spaetzel. Seating inside is a bit uncomfortable with long heavy backless benches but they are nice to look at. Our server looked like she would like to be anywhere but there. The service was slow and the wait to get our check made me wonder if they wanted my money. My dinner was pretty good a simple schnitzel and spatzel, but not great. The pub is very well decorated, and easy to find. Our waitress was amazing, I wish I remembered her name. I got the guten Moran, pretzel bun was nice but it was SO greasy. The egg wasn't the problem, when I picked it up it leaked so much I had trouble eating it. My onion rings were good. My fiancé had the salmon Benny, he didn't like it at all. He said the salmon was slimy, and he didn't eat more than a few bites. It upset his stomach too. His fries were ok. They had a breakfast buffet and I got my Bloody Mary there, you make your own And they give you the vodka. They had spaten beer which is my fiancé's favorite And why we chose to have brunch here. Bierkeller has become my favorite bar and restaurant over the last year. They have excellent prices and selections on draft and bottle beers. They oftentimes feature tap takeovers, which are fun if you want to try multiple offerings from the same brewery. Bartenders are always outgoing and willing to let you sample a beer before committing to a pint. I really dig their food. They have a sandwich called "Fo' Schnitzel", which is a schnitzel with cheese, delish homemade sauce and a pretzel bun. To die for. I also love their pretzel sticks, Kellercakes (fried rounds of potato goodness) and the cupcake of the day. If lunch is more your speed, give them a visit. For $7, you get a good-sized hot sandwich, homemade chips and soup or salad. Excellent deal. Fridays feature live music. This can be hit or miss, as some singers are better than others. It's usually very loud on Friday and Saturday nights, so if you like a quiet environment, skip those evenings. Live music starts around 9, so sometimes I get there around 7 and leave if the musicians aren't my fave. Lately, they've been doing really fun movie nights, where they put a movie on all the TVs, and have drink specials, trivia and costume contests. I love that the owners are always thinking of new crowd-pleasing events to host. Bierkeller is like the "Cheers" of Taylor. You come in as a stranger but you leave as a friend. read more

The outside of this place is very decieving. The inside is very homey and nice. They even have a patio area that they open up depend on the weather. They have plenty of seating and even provide private party services. We came here to have a drink after a long day at work. They have a drink menu that feature craft beers. Also, they have specials depending on the day of the week. They even have people perform sometimes. The beer drinks r price reasonably. We went when the place was not busy and had amazing, tentative service. The food was alright. We had the scotch egg and weirstchen fest. Both were alright, nothing to brag about. So left the city, and headed to Taylor for dinner. German joint Bierkeller for dinner and a couple beers. Jessica was my bartender/server, and was absolutely amazing. Now to the food and drink. I had a 34oz Franziskaner Heffe-Weiss ($8), which lasted the entire meal. Started with their chips and house made French onion dip, awesome!! Then I had the Veal Schnitzel topped with an onion gravy, served with a mushroom spaetzel, and veggie, which happened to be a seasoned sautéed brussel sprout. Every bit as good as eating in Germany. Definitely recommend this place for dinner, or just to hang out. read more

We came here for lunch and we're not disappointed. The food was great and they had a decent beer selection. There were several Michigan Brees and some German ones. I was hoping for a dunkel but didn't see it on the menu. Most of the German beers we're hefes or a form of wheat beer. Prices were about right for the beer and the food. I think our lunch with 1 round of larger beers cost around $35 after tax and tip. The only issue we had were flies. Its hard to control flies, but there were an aweful lot. I think some fly tape would go a long way. They offer a few items involving syrup so maybe a good cleaning more regularly would help. I'm not sure. I was swatting every few seconds to keep them off our food. Other than that. It was a great visit. I will be back in the winter when they are insect free. read more

We came here just to try the food and the food was okay. I didn't think the Keller cakes had much flavor and were greasy and the bacon wrapped kielbasa had almost burned bacon. The pretzels were soft and the cheese sauce tasted good and was not a crappy nacho cheese so that was nice. My boyfriend liked the Keller cakes though and he had a chicken tender which had maybe a Pinko crust which he thought was good. However the staff was super nice and on point with service.
