I've been to a lot of Coney's, and this one is promising- in route to become my new favorite. We've been going to Ramsey's in Southgate for awhile now, but they've changed their hours due to COVID and I never make it in time. Pros- Consistent good foodl Large menu with slot of variety Fair pricing Good daily specials All You Can Eat Fish on Wednesday and Friday Clean Bathrooms Open Kitchen Cons- -They don't seem to have enough waitresses, even with two waitresses and a carryout hostess, it seems one waitress has to carry the restaurant. -Open Kitchen, so when the cooks can't hear an order, the whole restaurant hears her yell it even louder lol Ended up there two days in a row because two days in a Row Ramsey's was closed. No biggie- I found my new favorite all you can eat fish place, $12 starts you with 2 pieces, and two pieces keep coming, nice fish cuts, nice thing crunchy flavorful batter, really good battered type fries, You know, the kind you get from Rally's- Oops, I mean "Checkers". We tried a variety of things today, breakfast specials with great over easy cooked eggs, decent grits, and good Dearborn ham. A Kekos burger with egg, bacon, GOOD pickles and fresh lettuce and tomato- and not iceberg either. Good chili cheese fries- good chili- not a fan of liquid cheese, I'll ask for a slice next time. Gyro meat that's either off a Spit or hand cut somehow, tasty! Good Lemon Rice Soup, I'm picky Bout my Avoglemono, but they do it with pride. Lastly, the have the PINK Greek dressing. And it make my.greek Salad amazing. My picky mom and sister approved! And Mom ate almost everything in her breakfast specials, So I'm guessing we will be back soon. Way to go Kekos. read more

This place has quite a large crowd coming in and it is a pretty big place. When we got here it was packed which was a good sign. As we got there the waitress brought us our coffee's right away, I ordered a Breakfast burrito along with a half order of Biscuits and Gravy, the food was really good and fulfilling but it was just ordinary compared to all other Coney islands, nothing special, the staff was very friendly and helpful and this place is very clean. The prices are very inexpensive and a great place to go for a quick breakfast. No complaints on my side. read more

This is a regular stop with the fam any time I'm back in the Downriver area. Traditional Greek cuisine like stuffed grape leaves, lemon rice soup, gyros, and chicken souvlaki are on the menu along with "Coney Island specialities" like chili dogs and chili-cheese fries. Oh, and of course flaming cheese I had the chicken souvlaki w/baked potato which was filling and flavorful. My aunt had the stuffed grape leaves and my grandma had Greek salad. The food is always delicious, the portions are VERY generous, and the service was great. PS: I loved that they poured our drinks into to-go cups! read more

It's a solid breakfast place. Food was decent, wait time was short, coffee was really good. The waitress didn't write our order down, everything was correct, AND she didn't forget the milk that hubby usually orders as an afterthought (even though he has milk with every breakfast he has out). Food is almost always awesome, however, don't ever try to order the boba tea. They never actually have it. I don't even know why it's still advertised. 90% of the time they aren't running it. Every time we try to order it via DoorDash and they don't have it (which is seriously every time), they refund like $2 of the $6.50 it costs and sub with a Diet Coke or something which is absolutely not what I wanted. I don't think it's cool to assume that choice for someone. This has happened more than once man, not cool. read more

Clean and the food was amazing! The past FOUR (4) times I have been to Keko's we were promptly greeted and received our food in a timely manner. The food has been perfect each time! Busy or slow the staff does their best to keep everyone happy! The Prices seem the same as the last owners (Olympic Flame) but the service and food has improved exponentially. Quantity and Quality are equally paired. I have also ordered carry out from Keko's and the orders are put together correctly with plenty of condiments and silverware/napkins! First time ordering from here 4-3-20 i used Ubereats since we are dealing withe Corona Virus. I ordered a triple decker club sandwich and a Fauttash Salad with Pita Chips on the side. First off it took one and half hours to receive my food due to the first ubereats diver not canceling that she wasn't going to go get the food. When I finally got my food the club sandwich was fine but the salad which is what i wanted the most was a big mess. Firstly they used Ice Berg lettuce anybody who eats and knows about this salad it really shouldn't be made with ice berg lettuce because that lettuce doesn't hold up to the dressing that's used on it because you'll end up with a soggy mess like i did plus the fact it sat for over an hour before i got it but still it would have ended up that way no matter what with this type of lettuce. If this salad can't be made with the proper lettuce they should inform the customer and honestly if it can't be made right just take it off the menu. I'm not going to say i wont order from here again im just not going to get that type of salad again. read more

I'm so disappointed.....I have loved this place for so long. They used to have great set and good food. Today (on a Saturday) one of their best servers is regulated to take out orders and the other server is helping the less than servers. This is ridiculous. What used to be one of our favorite places is becoming a joke. I would have picked fast food if I'd have known it was going to be this bad (I'm not a fan of fast food). Just happened to come across this place through using grub hub. Excellent food and great service. Also have a great selection of menu items, not just the typical coney island menu. Also, discovered the hidden treasure of the kosher coney. I always order take out and have very minimal issues with my orders in the past. This is usually uncommon since my wife and I have 6 kids, our orders from other places will typically always have something wrong or missing. Any issues i have had, the staff will take care of quickly and kindly. The wait time for take out is very short as well. 15 to 20 minutes for a typical $80-$100 order. I always share this hidden gem of a restaurant to all my friends and coworkers. read more

By far the dirtiest kitchen I've seen before. While washing dishes my ankles were swarmed by flies. Nobody mops at the end of the night so in the kitchen you are literally skating on grease. I was an employee and I didn't even want to eat the food it's THAT dirty. The smell in the back is so bad that it made me sick. Bad experience and will not ever order/get anything from there again. Also, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone to get food from here. To start with, I had tried calling to place a carry out order around 4:30 pm. (Since the hours said it closed at 8pm.) Thought maybe they might have been busy being that it was a Sunday(which I could understand, if that were the case.) Called 3 other times afterwards over the span of 15 minutes. No answer. My husband tried calling twice after my attempts. Finally got someone on the phone on his second attempt to place a carry out order. We had ordered some chili cheese fries, French toast with a side of ham, and the country breakfast (2 eggs, choice of meat, 1/2 order of biscuits&gravy, and toast.) When he went to pick it up, the place was clean at least. However, there was only one table occupied with 5 waitresses and 3 cooks on staff. It really begs the question, how come NO ONE couldn't answer the phone? The place wasn't busy and there was plenty of staff on hand that could've answered the phone to take an order. The waitress after he had came in to pick it up, thought he was in there to make a carry out order, wasn't very bright all around considering the conversation he had while trying to pay for the order. They need better trained staff. After we got our food home, found that they had forgot the order of toast. The food was "ok" wasn't very impressed. The portions are smaller than you would get at DRC, Wild Coney, or Cornerstone Coney Island. The biscuits & gravy (supposed to be half order) is only one biscuit in half smothered in an "ok" tasting sausage gravy. The ham portions, well if you can call it a "portion" or "side" of ham, are small. Came in very small pieces with the French toast and the other breakfast order. The hash brown portion were smaller than any other place around Southgate. The eggs that were ordered over hard(yolk completely cooked) still had uncooked yolk in the centers. We definitely will not ever order from here again, nor come to sit in& eat here. Would rather go somewhere else. read more

Had lunch there today. Will never go back. The restaurant was not busy and the tables needed to be cleaned off. The had plenty of waitresses yet, our service was very slow. The kitchen you could see through the glass windows was a disgusting mess. The food, I had the perch was over cooked. the clam chowder had no clam taste. It was thick milk.
