It smelled delicious in there. My brother recommended the King gyro. It comes with 1/2 pound of delicious gyro meat topped with shredded lettuce, red onion and diced tomato. The soft, warm pita is spread with tzatziki sauce for that tangy hit of cucumber. You can see the freshness as they were in the process of chopping more veg for toppings. Three big containers of diced tomato done and they were on to chopping red onions. The store itself has essence of Elvis everywhere in the decorations, even a life-sized replica. I thought it would be a small salad, like Olga's does, but no, it was full-size. And the gyro was stuffed with meat. After finishing the salad, I could only eat about half of the sandwich, so I took the rest home. The server (I didn't get her name) asked if I wanted a refill on my iced tea -- and then, she asked if I wanted it to go, which was perfect. And she saw the coupon I had with me & she automatically took off the 15% from my bill. I don't think many people know this restaurant is here or open, though; I was there around 2:00 on a Thursday, and there were only other tables occupied, and they were finishing up, leaving me alone for a little while. I can't speak for all locations, but, this one uses Koegel's hot dogs. The number one hot dog in Michigan. Their coney sauce (similar to chili sauce) is outstanding, but the buns were a disaster. Stale and cold in places. Half the bun ended up discarded. Tuesday's coney dog special is $1.99 per. I get two, Mrs. E. gets one. We then split fries or a Moussaka. Today it was fries. Leo's is so generous with the chili we can take half off the dogs and make chili fries. They have a very impressive menu featuring Greek and American dishes. We were initially told they could not refund our card but could offer a store credit, which we declined. A manager then told us they would provide a cash refund instead. Although I thought it was unusual that they couldn't simply refund the original payment method, I agreed. When I returned later that same day to collect the cash refund they had promised, they refused to give it to me because they were upset that I had shared my experience in a local Facebook group. The spoiled food was concerning enough, but refusing a previously agreed-upon refund because a customer publicly shared their experience was even more disappointing. I would have preferred for the situation to have been handled professionally and for the resolution they offered to have been honored. I've filed a complaint with the Oakland County Health Dept and the BBB.
