Their bagels are excellent, their home-made cream cheese is excellent, and the ladies are always cheerful . I've been here dozens of times since I "discovered" them in April - they're now a regular stop enroute to the dialysis clinic, so 2 - 3 times a week to enjoy "YUM"!! Their Lox Sandwich is perhaps a bit pricier than I'd expect... but the Lox they source is way better than the stuff I get from Costco . I save that for "special days". The shop is ALWAYS lickety-split CLEAN. Even on nasty, unpleasant days - and the smiling ladies make the morning brighter, too. If ever a small business deserved to prosper and thrive, this is a fine example. I think with some time and tweaks I can easily update this to 5 stars. It is designed similar to other GABs and is kept clean. Staff members were friendly and the owner was there when my husband and I came in. Everyone is still learning but in my opinion they all seemed like pros. I'm comparing this location to the Elk Grove village location. TBH the EG location is the best out of all the franchises. How can Naperville be comparable to EG? My tips - the bagels are missing something, the texture isn't as fluffy and thick. The cream cheese isn't as flavorful and they are pretty stingy when it comes to how much cream cheese is on the bagel. For a $5+ bagel with cream cheese I expect more. Overall this is an OK bagel place. I do believe it can be better and I am hopeful when I come back things will only continue to progress on being 5 stars.

We ordered two paninis, two coffees and my husband got an order of pancakes in addition. We ordered it to eat there. They gave us a table number and we sat down. We proceeded to watch three people very confused about how to make a coffee for at least 10-15 min. They are reading handbooks and walking around confused. I then watch them trying to figure out how to make my cold brew in a giant pitcher with tap water from a sink in the back. I watch them measuring out cloudy tap water and reading instructions on how to make it. Meanwhile they are also confused on how to make my husbands caramel macchiato. At one point one of them is smelling the coffee cup. This was all a little concerning but ok whatever. Then we get our food. It was not great but again, whatever. My cold brew was warm and murky and had just a few ice cubes floating in it. My husband was afraid to even try his coffee as when he received it I found this thick black hair in the other half of my panini. My husband mentions this to the woman who brought his coffee and she was nice and took it away and asked if we wanted something else. We were very grossed out and asked can they just refund the pancakes because they still weren't ready and we were just ready to leave. She was nice and said ok but then nobody had any idea how to give a refund. She had to call someone to refund us. We then left and I'm reading the receipt and she didn't refund us she had refunded someone else who had the same table number. I had to call back and tell her she didn't refund the right person or entree. She asked if we could come back but I really didn't want to waste any more time in there. She was very nice and apologetic and called me back and had refunded our entire order even though we just asked for the pancakes to be refunded as they hadn't come out. We will not come back though. This was pretty gross. It takes a lot for me to say something to the staff and not just suffer in silence. This was pretty bad. They really need to train their staff. Making coffee that's on their regular menu should be pretty second nature. Not having hair in the food is also a reasonable expectation. Gross.
