The food here is always amazing. I have never been displeased with my breakfast. But this trip today has been extremely disappointing as far as the service. We went for my birthday lunch, my Aunt who has debilitating anxiety came with us and brought along her service dog. She was treated very rudely by the staff including the manager. And everything has taken way longer to come to the table than it should. They were not busy and looked to have a decent amount of staff. It has been clear we are being treated differently because of the service dog. I am highly disappointed. read more

This place has punching power! I love this place! Huge plane on the wall. Great coffee. The andouille sausage has the great "Slow-Burn"(wife said it)! Stayed in the hotel above the restaurant and decided to try this gem. I got French toast and she got the Crumble. Hers looked good and she said it was fantastic! Mine was terrific. French toast was made perfect. The sausage though wow, that is really special. Still feeling some warmth 30 minutes later, of course that might be some crazy undiagnosed medical condition, let's hope not. Overall i would recommend this place to anyone. Prices are what you expect for this type of breakfast spot. Waitress was very good! Only issue was music is too loud. Should not have to raise your voice to speak to people at your table. My one and ONLY time there was so anti climatic. I was expecting so much and received so little, the meals were small "according to my mother" When you order something called The Big Bad Breakfast you expect a huge amount of food she got a thin little piece of ham and whatever else came with it, eggs and whatever. But my biggest fault with them was that we were sitting right across from where the food is picked up and I watched the food be picked up and get switched out there were a couple orders of french toast and the newest was getting taken away and the oldest just got pushed to the side. I told my mom I'm watching them to make sure they don't bring that to me because we sat there waiting around 10-15 minutes it felt like. When they finally got my mom's order up I watched them take that old plate and pile some extra bacon on it and send it right off with my mom's plate! I was livid! I watched the waiter come over and I said oh no you don't! I told him her plate was fine but I was not accepting that plate that I had stared at for all that time! He tried to play it off, but I told him I have been literally sitting here staring at that plate that was there BEFORE they took my order! I told him I refuse that and if you want you can just keep it and I won't eat at all. They decided to bring the manager out and I explained that I had been staring at that plate since I sat down newer versions would come and go and when my mom's order was ready I got the old one. I said for as much as you charge I expect fresh food not heating lamp hide aways. She went back and made my food again they brought out some syrup and a couple slices of strawberries and a small butter thing, you know the little metal ones. I asked for whipped cream and apparently they take that to heart because it turns out the butter was the whipped cream LOL it was whipped stiff so I thought it was butter, it was good just not nearly enough. I used the syrup and the half and half they brought for mom's coffee. If you get to the point you are using the half and half from coffee then you know they don't give you near enough stuff to put on your french toast, it had a sort of bitter taste like I think they used wheat toast or something. The whipped cream was actually kinda good, even the half and half was ok to dunk the toast in, since I didn't have much whipped cream. The second plate was indeed fresh and the toast was ok, fresh and crisp with a slight bitter aftertaste like the bread they used was wheat or something. The other plate had a lot more bacon on it , I think they were trying to make up for the fact it was old. However when I refused that plate the fresh one came out with only a few slices on it. By that time I was SO OVER the big BAD breakfast! I don't plan on going back my mom definitely doesn't. She was not happy with her meal and it came out hot and fresh. LOL I gave 3 stars because I hated to give them such a brutally honest review and the lady that took my order was nice and had nothing to do with bringing the old food to me, it was very busy so apparently a lot of people go for pretentious restaurants. Our food was fantastic and so was our waitress! The pickle brined fried chicken was incredible and I had to get a bottle of the chefs personal hot sauce to go! The only thing I would recommend is that the Bloody Mary I ordered felt like I was drinking chunky salsa. The taste was good, but could be a little more smooth. It's hit or miss on fresh or wilted to the point of they shouldn't be served. Avacado toast is good when the greens are fresh. Eggs are good sometimes and overcooked others. Cooks & management change frequently. They are short handed often. I would say this is some of the reason for quality control and consistency. The restaurant is loud. The staff that have been there a long while are very good at serving. They are kind and attentive. read more

I made the amazing decision of ordering the big bad burger (for breakfast, yes) and was not disappointed. Topped with a fried egg, fresh tomatoes and lettuce, comeback sauce, a slice of cheese and a half pound patty you are bound to be full and happy with your choice. Everything else ordered at our table was of course just as good but I am here to preach for my burger. The service throughout our entire visit was exceptional. Everyone from the hostess to the bus boy was courteous, kind and quick. Our order did take a little longer than normal to come out but no complaints here because it came out accurate even though the restaurant was busy. In town for an event and was craving a good breakfast. After searching yelp, came across Big Bad Breakfast and glad I did. Ended up there for three breakfasts. I say at the counter each day and had immediate and friendly service from the counter staff. Starting with a nice big cup of coffee, I relaxed and enjoyed a little World Cup that happened to be on the tv. Day one I went with the veggie skillet and a side of the chicken bacon. Served with thick wheat toast, it was perfect. Very flavorful. And the orange marmalade was great as well. Day two started off the same with the coffee and World Cup, but opted for the flapjacks. Thick and fluffy and way too much food. The staff was friendly and delightful and the food was plentiful. If I ever find myself back in Florence, I'll definitely be back. read more

The food was amazing. I had a creole omelette that had lots of shrimps and crawfish in it. The wait was around an hour, but it was mid morning on a Saturday, so I'm not surprised about that. My husband had the French toast and loved it too. One thing I noticed was that several people told us how much we were going to enjoy their food, which doesn't usually happen when I go out to eat, so I knew this was going to be good. My family and I were NOT impressed at all!!! We decided to have a meal here just after 1230pm on a Monday, they were not busy!!! We were told it was going to be a 45 minute wait with multiple tables available., so we waited! The hostess then proceeded to take what seemed like 5 minutes to figure out where to seat us. Lack of greeting your customers and a poor attitude is how this experience began. Food was over-seasoned, service was slow and had to get up to get our own condiments. The worst part as pictured, we are paying $12 a plate to eat with plastic utensils, because hostess or waitress didn't want to wrap the clean ones. The blame was passed from person to person, including the manager putting the blame on a music festival being in town. This doesn't explain the lack of work ethic from the staff. All i can say is AMAZING service. We live about four hours from Florence and stopped at Big Bad Breakfast after a morning of fishing. Our server, Allissa, went above and beyond. She recommended our food choices, and i couldn't have been happier we gave her the reigns on that decision. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing for such a busy morning. Name suits it well. BAD BREAKFAST! Don't think I've every had food served like this. If I could give a zero I would. Husband ask for well done bacon, delivered to the table almost see though bacon, nor even half way done. His breakfast comes with hash brown cake, 20 minutes later the waitress tell us they're out of the hash brown cake but have skillet potatoes. The plate came, still waiting for the skillet potatoes. As you can see in the picture I posted looked like they put hashbrowns in the deep fryer and burnt them, but yet still deliver them to the table late. They were hard absolutely in eatable. I ordered the Big Bad BLT..indeed it was also bad, nothing big about it. Worst BLT ever. A kid could make a better BLT. Take a look at the pictures. Almost rotten, smashed tomatoes, one tiny piece of lettuce which was wilted, and burnt bacon. We did complain to the manager and she did remove the items from our ticket. However, this is the first and last time we will patronize this restaurant. Truly, the manager couldn't believe it when I showed her the pictures. read more
