This place has very cute sidewalk chalk breakfast food leading up to the restaurant. It's in a good location and easy to find. The staff is friendly and our waitress was attentive and kind. The decor is fun, with plenty of quality breakfast puns. I ordered the skillet which felt more like a scramble. I think a " breakfast skillet" should have a bottom layer with crispy potatoes and piping hot cheese that creates a frico effect. This skillet did not have any of that. That may be a preference thing and I have high expectations for breakfast skillets. The blueberry jam was heaven and I'd eat it by the gallon if I could. I think next time I would try something else, like the Benedict. This is clearly a well loved and popular spot for breakfast. I wouldn't get my dish again, but it seems there are plenty of wonderful options on the menu.

Kylie, Katie and Julie, thank you so much for your outstanding customer service and care and professionalism and friendly attitude, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience with you! The eggs Benny was so delicious as well as the ham and cheese omelette and the coffee nice and bold! Everything was wonderful! We hope to return soon!! We loved the interior design of the restaurant and the colorful mural of the bridge on the rear wall...and the huge picture of the Beatles on the wall. Very cool. Loved this restaurant!!

Stopped in due to good Yelp reviews on our way to Charleston and it didn't disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The chicken tenders looked home made and not something frozen. My wife commented that her Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and did a great job too. As for the restaurant, it's your typical diner/cafe experience but tucked into a building shared with phone store. I didn't see any outdoor seating area (but it was a rainy day) I don't know if there are other breakfast places in the area, but this has to be one of the best. I will note, the music seemed a bit loud, but I think we were pretty close to a speaker.

What an awesome breakfast place. There are diners and then there are DINERS! Awesome options. Servers were super friendly. Cool decor. I got the Yard Work Skillet and it was the bomb. Substituted Cheezy grits for a biscuit and they were delicious. I wish we had one in Orlando!

Food was average. We used to go to BBB in Birmingham, AL when we lived there, and it was phenomenal. This location is only alright. The breakfast burrito was good, but nothing special and not worth $14. It was also super greasy. In addition, the breakfast skillet was ULTRA greasy, and also only tasted ok. We don't plan on returning unless something changes.

First time here! Absolutely loved it! Spinach and Swiss omelet, hash brown cake was quite crispy and delicious. Pancake had the perfect thickness and was quite yummy! Sweet staff! Will definitely be back!

We had the Big Bad breakfast and Chicken and Waffles, the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices were amazing!

My first visit to the Mt. Pleasant location was great! There were 17 people ahead of us but the wait was only 20 minutes! Service was great from Start to finish thanks to Reagan! The food was good, I had chicken and waffles . It was standing room only at 11:15 on a Sunday and a little noisy. If you prefer a quieter scene, go after 12pm. They honored military with a 15% discount, always a plus!! There is seating inside and out, and there are games like golf and corn hole!

Great breakfast place that EVERYONE seems to know about-crowded! Lucy our server was very helpful. Yummy Fresh squeezed OJ. I had a DELICIOUS skillet with a side of grits and gravy! My family enjoyed the French Toast and Shrimp n Grits. Our breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed. Parking was a tad tight, but the place is popular so what would one expect!!

First off, we called in for pickup and the employee on the phone was exceptionally nice. I asked if they had flavored lemonade and she explained they use homemade jam in their flavoring and it did not disappoint. The sweet tea is spectacular too! Now, onto the actual food- the biscuits and gravy are divine. I wish I lived nearby to visit more and try more food items!

Had a an amazing big Good Breakfast this mother's day weekend. Everything on the plate and the sides were delicious. Also Ah'Janique made this experience really great with her smile , and patience. First off, everything here is delicious! Truly, it is! They even have a special gluten-free menu if that's what your needs require. We sat at the very busy bar because we realized it was spring break after we had already pulled up and got inside. I always love to sit at a bar as long as we've got a great bartender, and today we did! Today I opted for the ham Poboy instead of a breakfast and I'm so glad I did because it was delicious. I brought home a turkey and Swiss for my husband. The hash cake is not corned beef hash cake. It is a hash brown cake, but that's OK because it is very delicious nonetheless! The ambience is busy and crowded, but still friendly and a family friendly place to eat. However, the prices aren't as family friendly. I paid for my friend because she did a big favor for me, my lunch and my husband's was $45 and neither of us got any cocktails. This isn't a result of the current situation because it was this way last time we came as well. The food is delicious, the drinks are delicious, the service is great, but the prices could be a little more in line even for Mt. Pleasant. Don't hesitate to go at all whether it's for brunch, lunch or breakfast and grab one of their delicious breakfast cocktails!!

Cute breakfast spot w/a bar! Service by Kevin was great, and the food was pretty good. The prices are very reasonable also. I tried the mother of all biscuits which included a delicious pickle brined crispy chicken breast with a slice of cheese and opted for the dirty bird add on's of hot sauce (not really hot at all) and honey. My only critique is that the cheese was not a good addition, and the biscuit began to fall apart quickly making it a pretty messy bite of food. The star was the brûléed grapefruit! I don't usually put sugar on my grapefruit, but to brûlée it was a different take for me, so I had to try it. It did not disappoint! It wasn't super sweet, and the bits of mildly charred crystallized sugar against the bitter grapefruit was perfect. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to BBB and would most certainly return to try other menu items including maybe a cocktail. 8/10

There is a lot of good going on here. Food is fresh and everything came out of the kitchen hot. Have to like a place you can get a beer with your eggs. Wife got a BLT and said it was obvious "there is a chef in the kitchen". Much better than the Eggs Ip Grill it replaced. If you live in Brickyard very convenient. Quick food delivery also. When weather gets nicer might be a good place to sit outside and eat. That said it is pretty hard to transform a BLT and they didn't. I am told a proper BLT has a slice of lettuce. Not shredded. I'd say the biggest draw back is loud. High ceiling and cement floor makes the sound bounce. The bar tender made the world's largest cappuccino and we could not hear each other for what felt like an eternity. So is it the best place in town ? No. Is it worth it to try? Absolutely. My roommate and I both got off an overnight shift at the hospital and decided to get breakfast here. We didn't go to the the downtown location because I previously was served "SOUR" (dairy ingredient expire)grits, so we tried this location. Amazing interior, loved the mural on the wall, really clean and spacious ,The service was great!But once AGAIN The Food Was BAD! I only ordered a coffee (ptsd ) and my roommate ordered the breakfast burrito, when asking how he likes it his reply "it's good just really greasy, I can't even pick it up" ...3 hours later he now is throwing up and clearly has food poisoning!! Unless the last cook transferred to this restaurant yall got a serious issue and we need to get the FDA involved! They definitely live up to their name big "BAD" Breakfast! read more

Maddie the bartender was great! She was very attentive and explained the "hidden gems" of the menu! The farm fresh eggs from James Island and fresh squeezed grapefruit or orange juice are things you don't get at other breakfast spots, especially not at IHOP! The decor was very cute and creative. While we were seated right away, you can tell this is a hot spot by the crowd mid week! Definitely will be back! Ps. They give a cute post card with your check for a little souvenir! read more

The food was soooooo good! The biscuits are so fluffy, pancakes are delicious, and French toast was amazing. Cannot complain about anything! Our server was Riley and she was wonderful. She made sure we had what we needed without us having to ask! I would go here every single day of my life for breakfast if I could. Their breakfast potatoes are not on the menu, but are the BEST most crispy yet soft and flavorful breakfast potatoes I've ever had. And then Keke's wrap. Soooooo good. Best breakfast of our vacation. I got The Jack Benny with grits. We sat at the bar. Server recommended the house made salsa and it did not disappoint. It actually elevated that Jack Benny to a 11/10. My husband got the breakfast plate and a Belgian waffle. It had some fresh fruit and whipped cream on top. I have a favorite waffle place I eat at and this is neck to neck with my favorite place. The fresh squeezed OJ was next level. I have this on my favorite place for breakfast for this area. First off, this place is amazing! Not only is the food and drinks outstanding, but so is the service and staff. We are a family of 7 from out of town, and stumbled upon this AMAZING breakfast spot. Our food was amazing (I personally love the skillet) , the restaurant itself is very cute. The service was absolutely amazing! Our two year old wasn't having it as we were waiting to pay our check. A waitress took time out to play with him and entertain him. Very sweet! Finally getting around to giving BBB a shot...I shouldn't have waited so long!! There was a short line outside (expected at 10:30 AM on a Sat) but, being by myself, I took an open seat at the bar. They have TOTALLY changed the interior from when it was Eggs Up Grill, and it works. Bartenders were attentive without being over-bearing. I ordered the Huevos Ranchero Grit Bowl and it was DELICIOUS! I would've licked the bowl clean but used my better judgement. Prices were reasonable and overall it was a great experience...I will definitely be back. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and give them a shot. This was my second trip to Big Bad Breakfast and once again, they did not disappoint! The food and service were excellent. I had a question about the sausage patties and the manager came over to talk and was so friendly. By the way, the sausage patties are good too! We can into down for a soccer tournament. The food was amazing, the pancakes were fluffy and the hash browns were fried to perfection. Wife and I had breakfast today at BBB. She ordered the biscuit & gravy $6 and I had Big Bad Biscuit $9.50 (sausage, egg and cheddar) We also had (2) Irish coffees $20 for $38.34 before tip.... Her biscuit was dry and had very little gravy and my BBB was dry and lacking the sausage. A different waitress brought me the missing sausage. Our bartender attempted to make an Irish coffee but had to throw it out and get assistance to make one. No complaints on the drinks. I believe that $9.50 for a dry mediocre biscuit is way too much. A dry biscuit with very little gray for $6 is also overpriced. Improve the quality or adjust the price.... Today was the grand opening but with as many employees they had on site and considering how simple the order, there was no reason to not get this right..... We had a mediocre experience but wish you success... read more

It was a pleasant enough weight - the only thing I minded was my seat right outside the bathroom. They're a CASH ONLY operation with an old fashioned ATM ($3 fee) right outside the restaurant. I ordered a breakfast biscuit- something quick so I could get to the beach faster. The taste of the biscuit was good and it was a pretty good size. The egg was soft and fluffy, like I like mine, but I would've liked a bigger piece of country ham. Unfortunately, the biscuit was so crumbly, I had to eat the sandwich with a knife and fork and even then, the biscuit just disintegrated. Service was quick and polite.

We ordered their waffle, french toast, chocolate chip pancakes, egg biscuits and sausage gravy, and the open face biscuit with crispy friend chicken and sausage gravy. It tasted stale and was more a cake like texture. We both had the same bacon & tomato omelet with home fries. My husbands omelet was not completely cooked through and had runny egg pour out once he cut into it. The home fries were overcooked, some were hard, chewy and really flavorless. I suspect they were recooked. We did not bother mentioning any of this to the hostess/server as she was oblivous to giving good service. Though she did refill our coffee. After 5-6 visits here since they opened, Coastal Skillet is not a place we will return to. Good luck.
