This is my second time bringing one of my cars to get tinted at Big Boy Toys and they did not disappoint. I had a 10am appointment and the guy came right out and got started on my MERCEDES CLA 250. It's definitely disappointing to have to write such a negative review after plenty of good experiences here. We have used Big Boys several times, for different services and to change out our factory tires and rims for aftermarket tires and rims. We did the same thing on Nov 20th, 2021 for both of our SUVs (changed the aftermarket tire/rims and placed the factory ones back on for the winter season). John charged us $50 each for this service (see attached receipt). Now it's March 2022 and we're ready to switch back to our aftermarket tires/rims. When we called to ask pricing we were told, twice, that the price is now $80 per vehicle. Huh!!?? Wow!!! That's a 60% increase in less than 4 months...RIDICULOUS! I ended up asking another trusted local mechanic shop, that also specializes in all things tires, etc., the price for this service and they informed of a much lower, reasonable price. We are going to go to that location. I'm not sure why Big Boys is price gouging...I understand price increases, but the price quoted is not reasonable, considering what we just paid. Also, always look up any rims, tires, etc., you want to purchase online first, as that will always be your least expensive option vs. purchasing anything overpriced, aftermarket from this local. Great selection of rims and tires! Staff could some lessons on great customer service. I took one of my vehicles here to have tints put on it by a guy named David. He did a great job on my car...I would hope so since I was waiting for over 2hrs. Some advice would be either have a friend go with you to keep you company so you aren't bored. read more

I have been coming to Big Boy Toys since 2012 when I bought my 4runner in that time I have bought tries once and chrome rims twice and wheel locks and other small items. So on 10/24/2020, I took my 4runner to have LED Fog lights install (NITRO LUX) look great! so I look at the difference between the fog lights and the front headlights big damn difference so I went on and got the front headlights installed as well, both look outstanding together (NITRO LUX) now here's the issue for my front headlights I had Aukee (LED) play n plug 9005 was already installed, but when I was given the box back my old fog lights was there in the box, but the other box in which my front headlights was taken out of was not in the box it was the factory front headlight bulbs which was not in the 4runner when I bought my SUV in there and the reason I know this for sure is because I installed the play n plug (AUKEE LED BULBS) little unhappy about that since I have been doing business with Big Boy Toys since 2012. I purchased a new car and wanted my windows tinted and a remote starter put on. The dealer wanted to charge me a leg and arm. I was able to schedule both of the installation at the same time at big boys toys. The tints are amazing and came with a life time warranty. The cheapest price for tint anywhere around. Brought in my Mercedes CLS 500 for tint. "Dickie" the window tint guy trashed the inside of my car, returning it to me absolutely f**ing filthy, with shoe scuffs and dirt all over my beautiful beige interior!! Then when we pointed this out, and asked for it to be taken care of, he proceeded to YELL at my husband and I in the parking lot saying that he "wasn't goin to pay for no interior wash, nossir" and they he would rather "rip off the tint and refund my money" then basically return the car to me the way he received it. The sales rep didn't not say much while Dickie was yelling at me either. He just got some paper towel and 409 and proceeded to leave disentigrated paper towl all over the car from trying to rub off the dirt. Unbelieveable!!! Needless to say, and my husband can attest, I left in tears! Words cannot describe what a mistake going there was. Horrible tint job on my brand new car. Went back to get tint fixed and it still looks horrible. Air bubbles, tint cut incorrectly, glue spots etc. This was an amateur job at best. I was told that the small air bubbles were to be expected because of some felt on the inside of my car. I don't think so. I will be going back here a third time, this time to get this horrible tint job removed so I can go elsewhere to get it done properly. Waste of time and money. One star because the installer is very nice, but nice doesn't get my windows tinted properly. The quality of work sucks. read more

I have never been into Big Bad Toys of NY nor will I ever. I had a fraudulent transaction deducted from my bank account. My bank asked me to reach out to the store to see if there was a transaction error, but instead I was belittled by a man named Moe. I wasn't asking him to investigate this crime for me, but instead looking for a little compassion and concern since $2300 went missing from our account. He proceeded to "educate" me on how to pursue a fraudulent transaction with my bank. Duh! I already closed my account and have filed a claim. Then he said the transaction had to legit because the person had our debit card pin. Sorry Moe, the shoe doesn't fit. My husband and I aren't in the business of pimping out our ride nor would someone we associate with. To sum this up, I feel this place is allowing illegal purchases to be made. read more

Went there just to buy simple lug nuts and was considering buying another set of rims. The salesman was not knowledgeable and pretended he knew what he was talking about. I did not mind him not knowing the answerer to my question, but he continued to BS me until I just said forget it. So I walked over to the counter to purchase my lug nuts and he tries to flip the script. Maybe they are just used to dealing with rude customers and assume everybody is rude. In short, this is a great place for custom rims and tires but the customer service is horrible!!!! I regret buying my first set of rims there. Beware, the security guard is a token.
