I will never visit this place again. I sat in the bar area and the service was poor at best. I had to walk to the bartender from my high table to order. The bar only had 3 couples and they were already served. My food came out quickly but my order was not correct. After a total of 40 minutes I paid for my beer and left. The serves was great. He kept making sure we were okay. I had the 10 boneless wings garlic parmesan and teriyaki both was really good. But I have had better. But still not bad. Got there and sat down right away.. took them like 20 min for anyone to come take our drink order and only because we went up to the front to see what was going on.. everyone just looked at each other confused trying to figure out who's gonna take our table.. then finally ordered some beers and waters .. that took forever too!! It wasn't even that busy ..I would have been fine if they had at least brought our drinks out while they made us wait forever for our food.. then some of our food was cold. We were asked to seat ourselves and the waitress came about 3 minutes later to get our drink order. We were ready to place our order so we told her what we wanted. She came back about 20 minutes later and asked us about the details of our order. 10 minutes later she comes out with a tray with our order on it and the turns around heading back to the kitchen saying that she needed to check our order. Another 5 minutes later she comes to our table saying that our order was wrong. At that point we had waited so long that I told her to give me the check for the drinks. There has always been a long wait for food there. Food is good but the wait is not. Waitress was nice. Place was clean but seems to be a lack of order or communication issues as well as a one order at a time until its done mentality. They were all very bland, especially the garlic Parmesan to the point that I had two and couldn't finish the rest. I even dipped them in ranch hoping it'd add some flavor but it didn't. Took us 10-15 minutes to get drinks while eating HOT wings and 25 minutes from getting the ticket to having to close out with what I assume was the manager to leave. The service was good and the staff in general was very attentive and friendly. There are a lot of screens around the restaurant which was nice. The food was edible but it wasn't memorable by any means. We ordered the southwest potato skins (chicken, tomatoes, corn and jalapeño) and a 15 wings basket. The potato skins were decent, even though they were loaded with ingredients I couldn't particularly taste them; they also came with what looked like a cilantro sauce but it tasted sweet. To me the potato skins with the sauce didn't make sense, there were too many flavors fighting each other and not one of these flavors were highlighted successfully. The wings: they were smaller than what I'm used to but I was ok with that. We had half of the wings with the mango habanero sauce. I was expecting a lot more spice but all I got was sweetness. We were a little disappointed with the spice level since it was shown as a spicier sauce. We also had the honey citrus which was forgettable. I barely tasted any citrus and was again left tasting only sweetness. The honey citrus and the mango habanero tasted almost exactly the same to me - just sweet. The waffle fries that came with the wings were pretty nicely cooked, at least. The other reviews about the water were pretty spot on...it tastes bad. Essentially it tastes like unfiltered tap water. I couldn't take more than a few sips and gave up on it. All in all, the experience wasn't bad but it didn't stand out. We may come back if we are in the area but it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice. read more

I read other reviews before coming here and if you're a wing guy, you know Houston in general just doesn't have great wing places. Well this one lives up to that name, while other people will tell you otherwise here's what you can expect. Wings are small, drums will not be bigger than your thumb, and the wings were even smaller and pretty much had one of the bones snapped in each one. The service was ok but neither our waitress or the gentleman that brought the wings out knew who's order was who's. Also no basket or bone yard brought out to the table. The flavors were ok hot garlic, hot, and mango habenero but not a lot of difference in flavor between them. A word to the owner, serve better sized and better quality wings....seriously. Also a change up and improve your beer selection on tap, you don't need 7/10 beers to be all pilsners and make it to where the food runners know what they are serving. It may seem harsh but this is honest for those who read it. read more

I wanted this to be the place, but it isn't going to be. I came here last week in Friday and everything was pretty good. So I was going to make this a semi-regular Friday night tradition. This area is sort of a wing desert and this place could fill the void nicely. However, today Friday, August 21st I go in about 6:30pm and I see it's not too crowded but a good start. Their is no sign directing you to seat yourself and I didn't want to be a jerk so I waited by the front counter. One woman on the phones, I get phone orders need attention too. Then a second lady walks past me no acknowledgement whatsoever. She goes and grabs a phone. I try to ask "what do you want me to do?" Sit, stand, leave, go eff myself? So then a third woman walks up near the front, grabs a broom and takes off. So I figure this is how you deal with guests when they arrive I'll leave so I left and because I've been without wings in this area for years will continue to drive elsewhere. Sat down ordered a beer. I'm glad I enjoyed I it because it was the only one I got. I was never offered another. My god daughter wanted on of the hottest wings just to sample it. They put her French fries on top of the spiciest wing, ruining HHS's fries. Now that I'm only getting onne beer and I had shared my fries with my god daughter I was left wanting. We've patronized big city wings many times over the last couple of years. Lately their quality has really gone down and so has the service. We typically order to go, this time the order was all the way wrong and the staff was unapologetic about getting our order incorrect. In fact, they explained to us that sometimes the kitchen makes the food various ways and we just needed to accept that. We ordered bone-in wing baskets. The wings were undercooked, with "gummy" skin and no flavor. $15 Is too expensive for 10 nasty wings and, I counted them, 19 tater tots. Luckily a BW3s has opened in our area though not as close; we will just go there from now on. read more

Now this is a wing place! Being a bit of a snob I love a good wing and wing sauce, but living in Humble you're kind of limited on selection. Yeah there's Brewings, where the wings are okay and the service sucks. Then there's Wingstop who just plain suck. Now we have a new place for cold drafts and hot and delicious wings, Big City! The place is newly renovated and clean. The staff is fast and friendly and the food gets to you hot and fresh! My server let me sample the wing sauce so I could find one I like (Mango Habanero is the bomb!) I got the chicken tender basket with waffle fries. It was delicious! Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I love the fact they don't skimp on the ranch dressing! My wife got honey BBQ and it was smokey and sweet! Full bar and Blue Moon on tap! We were pretty excited to try this place since we don't have a good wing place nearby. Very disappointed. Wings were super small, waffle fries pretty blah, and our pulled pork nachos were ok but it was beef underneath the pork that looked like dog food and had a weird taste. We were sitting at the bar and the service was God awful. A manager took our order and got it wrong and he seemed kind of hyped up as if on something. We also received bleu cheese instead of ranch and when we asked for it to be corrected we were charged extra. Only a dollar but it's more the principle. Bartender was extremely inattentive.
