We bought a new Springdale camper from them at their annual RV show in 2015. The sales pitch was the usual, you must have this, you must have that, but we wanted a nice camper so we paid for all the extras. The first thing they did is assure me over and over that our vehicle could pull the camper we got. I had doubts but trusted them. We got half way home and it had run our vehicle to empty, using two times the gas we usually need and overheated our vehicle. Secondly, the next time we went to hook it up, the latch wouldn't work that keeps the ball in place. Worked at it for hours and finally got it to work. Went camping and oven didn't work, hot water heater didn't work, noticed a leak on the back of the toilet and a bubble in the inside wallpaper next to the bed. I called to speak with a person about everything and got zero help, a lot of attitude and then some more sales pitch about trading it in for a motor home!! We've only taken it out twice now because the latch needs to be completely removed and a new front welded on. Still paying on the POS because we can't sell it for what we still owe on it. read more

The have a great selection and except for the huge up sale on all the things you don't need we got the RV we wanted. The salesman Kevin wasn't knowledgeable and he definitely didn't know what he was talking about when he told us it came with massaging chairs (it didn't) but we still like the RV. The biggest complaint is in the past when we have bought from Curtis Trailers in Portland the person you start with is who you finish with. BCRV starts with salesman, then sales manager, then another sales manager then the finance people and when you are done they've sold you $10,000 worth of worthless add on items. We went through six people counting the walk through person by the time we were done. Their extended warranty is higher than most and the loss protection items are a joke since insurance covers most of it. We felt like we were on a sleazy used car lot. When we upgrade we will most likely buy somewhere else. read more

Nice showroom/facility (it sounds shallow but a messy lot and half-baked showroom tells me a dealer cuts corners. That's been my experience with another dealer in Bend.) We visited both the Redmond location and Bend looking for a specific make and model of 5th wheel. They only had 2015s on the lot and not the model we wanted and we were told that the 2016 models wouldn't even come in until probably August. (We were aware that they were just trying to sell the 2015s and weren't being honest.) They had extremely high MSRPs in the trailers which was very discouraging. We ended up finding the trailer we wanted at a fantastic dealership in Grants Pass and purchased it there. So much for buying locally. read more

These guys and gals were great. I'm 5 hours away so I wanted to make sure I didn't drive up and waste my time. They have a huge inventory of new and used RV's. They were the only ones that had the exact model and amenities I wanted in the RV I selected. Via email I was able to get every question answered about the RV I was looking for. Dane was very patient in checking the equipment and responding back to me. We did this a couple of times. We were able to negotiate a bottom line price that I was very happy with and I made a deposit via phone / credit card contingent on me visually inspecting the RV to insure it was what I wanted. Next day I made the drive and made the purchase. When I returned a couple of days later to pick up the RV they helped me get the equipment I needed and their parts department has a large selection of RV equipment. I was given a walk around inspection and shown how everything works and we test drove the rig to insure everything was working properly. Everyone that helped me was amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable. I left their premises and went camping for 3 nights close by in case I had any issues that needed to be corrected at their dealership. I had none that weren't operator error on my part that I wasn't able to overcome during my camping trip. I would highly recommend these folks and am very happy with my purchase and the way I was treated. read more

STOP ! Read this before you even think about consigning your used trailer to Big Country Rv in Bend Oregon. I consigned my trailer for 90 days. I had tried to sell it on Craig's list, but it was still late winter. The price I would receive from Big Country was going to be 18k. When I consigned my trailer a 2013 Takena travel trailer 22ft it was immaculate it looked close to brand new inside and out. The salesmen were excited to have it! Then they listed it for 26k which was too high. The sales person told me that if something doesn't sell its priced to high. My trailer didn't sell because they kept the price too high. They told me it would be in 2 RV sales events at the Redmond Expo, not true. During this time I referred a woman to them who wanted to buy it from me, I told her I just consigned it to them. She offered them 21,50. They lied and told her they had to put in 2k into it. The person at Big Country did not even take her name and phone number. I then talked to a higher ranking salesman who told me they would sell it for 19k that day if they got an offer. What a joke ! They had my RV in the way back hidden behind other trailers in a part of the property you almost had to drive to. The sign on the door read 26k the day I picked it up and the battery was dead. If I had waited I could have sold it for 20k on Craig's list. It will be back on Craig's list this coming week! BAD on you BIG COUNTRY! read more

We are deeply sorry that we purchased our camper trailer at Big Country RV in May 2019. We very much wanted an Outdoors RV and they are the only dealers in town carrying this line. We were aware that Big Country had a bad reputation for service, having heard this from several friends as well as having our own first hand experience 2 years ago when we took in our former RV. We went against our better judgment, however, and purchased a 25' rig there and have had nothing but trouble since. The hitch set up they put on was improperly installed, extremely dangerous and had to be replaced while we were on the road in Texas. When we pulled in to the RV service center in Boerne, TX the technicians watching from the garage floor knew before we stopped the truck where the problem was. After spending $800 to replace the initial hitch the rest of our trip was safe and uneventful. Upon returning to Bend at the end of our trip we had set up (a week earlier) an appointment to speak with Andy, the parts dept. mgr on a Friday morning at 8am. We arrived on time, Andy refused to come out to see us. We refused to leave. It was ridiculously uncomfortable and unprofessional. After an hour of us not budging he finally appeared. He was rude, denied any responsibility, saying he had to talk to "management" and would get back to us on the phone. I asked when, he said before we picked up the trailer, which we had to leave because the refrigerator would not stay shut during travel. Needless to say he never called. When I called him after 8 days he pretended he didn't know why I was calling. When I replied he knew exactly why I'd called he responded by saying "we aren't compensating you in any way, you can't prove we were responsible". In fact, the truck never left our line of vision the day we picked up the trailer and no measurements had been made. No "mandatory test drive", which we learned about long after the fact, ever took place before we left that first day either. We ended up going up the ranks to speak with Kenny, the owner. He was kind enough to listen to us and finally offered to give us half the cost of the hitch they'd initially installed. We took our trailer with the "repaired refrigerator" home, took it out this week for the first time and arrived at our destination with a swinging fridge door, 12 broken eggs that had slid the length and width of the trailer floor, turkey burgers everywhere, etc. Back to duct taping the door shut because we are now facing a dilemma regarding future parts and service. We have no interest in visiting their totally inept and repeatedly rude service dept but the nearest other Outdoors RV dealers are in Coos Bay or Portland. Save yourself a lot of trouble and steer clear of this place. Our next phone call will be to the manufacturer (in Le Grande, OR) to beg them to put their excellent product in a decent dealership. read more

Warning! Warning! Beware of bad service. Ordered parts for my Rv last January, didn't get my Rv fixed till May. Ordered wrong parts, then left Rv with furnace on draing my batteries. Then used the power jacks improperly and refused to pay for their mistake. Instead, trying to make me wrong for what they did. If your going to do business with them I suggest you record all conversations. Deal with them at your own risk. read more

We were looking to consign our travel trailer, and I called around to see about different options. I talked to a salesman early in the morning who was very polite and said I would get a call back, but it might take 10 minutes. 3 hours later a different salesman called me, and he asked how much I wanted to sell it for (I have done some research myself) and I told him, he then LAUGHED at me and told me that wholesale value was less than half of what I was asking. The value of the travel trailer is not my main concern . My concern is how they treated me in the process. Guess they don't need my business now or in the future. read more

Absolutely abominable service. We were stuck in Bend needing some warranty work done on the trailer before we could continue our trip. Big Country advised us that they would not even look at the problem for a month because they were too busy. We explained that we were 2000 miles from home and knew what part we needed but just needed some assistance. They were totally unresponsive. We proceeded 2 miles down the road to All Season RV and they agreed to get the trailer in for inspection the very same day and will get part ordered asap. The Keystone Hideaway that we bought in the valley was 10K more at Big Country RV so of course we went to the valley. Then when we called Big Country to do the warranty service for our new RV, they wouldn't do it because we did not buy from them which is totally against Keystone policy as a Keystone dealer. So we called All Seasons RV, they were great! We have our service appointment with them, no questions asked. We will be telling everyone to stay clear from Big Country RV. Big Country RV needs to realize that new TV ads in order to compete with Blue Dog RV is a waste of time because people want value and polite, honest customer service. Go to All Seasons RV! read more

They like to call themselves the "Hometown RV Dealership", but if that's the case you'll want to move! They'll do all they can, like used car salesmen, to get you into a RV, but will treat you terribly when it comes to warranty work afterwards. We just purchased a RV from General RV in Draper Utah (a great dealership), brought it home and needed a minor warranty fix (10-minute job at most, honestly). I was told by their Service Manager Andy Richter (after he found out that I didn't buy the RV there) that they were scheduling warranty work for November 2017 at best! Luckily the manufacturer arranged for us to have the work done by Coach Masters of Bend, (an outstanding independent RV repair facility here in Bend). We're letting everyone we know, friends and co-workers know, that if they're in the market for a new RV, stay away from Big Country RV. It's a shame that they've already lost business due to a blowing off a 10-minute warranty job. read more

Wow! Where do I begin? All was well until we went into the Finance office and Dana was extremely condescending and told us that we wouldn't be able to finance at the rate we wanted at OUR bank (even though we had one at that very moment on our trade in camper) and even though we told her that we were going through our bank, she said that she had 17 banks and ended up running our credit through many banks. We only signed a "quote" that they hadn't signed, and left a $1,000.00 deposit. We live 5 hours away and decided on the way home that it's not what we wanted. The next business day was a Monday and we called our salesperson and told them we didn't want to do the sale, he said it was out of his pay grade and had the Sales Manager, Bret Frost call. We spoke to Bret 2 times and each time my boyfriend said we don't want to buy it, Bret bullied him into saying yes. The 3rd call I was on and we had Brett on speakerphone and even though we hadn't signed ANY purchase agreement or finance papers, Bret told us that according to the Attorney General, he has to take the unit off the lot "in paper" and now if he returns it he will have to do so as "used" and can't do that. We tried to stand our ground and told him NO multiple times. It was then that he told us the process had started (which it had not) and that we had better get an attorney if we decided not to purchase. Not only that but Bret wanted to come and get our trade in 4 days before ANY paperwork had been signed because he had a sale he wanted it at. When we said no, he told us that he had already arranged a truck. We said too bad, the answer is no. There were things promised in the deal that didn't happen and we've had nothing but issues with the cheaply made, overpriced RV that we were forced to purchase. My advice...they are sleazy, slimy, bullies who do things that are illegal to force a sale. read more

Bought a brand new 2017 trailer and took it out for the frist time a couple of days later and the furnace didn't work so brought it in to get it service and the lady was totally rude and made me felt like I was bothering her, she didn't want to even help me and never look at it ,she just had me leave it with them and told me she would get to when she had time to tag it ,I wish I had never bought my RV there the experience has not been good , I bought it at RV show ,if I could I would take it to another place but it's brand new and under warranty,you would think being brand new it would work for you. They have had it for a week and every time I call they have me wait on the phone for long time and then when they finally answer they say they will call me back and they never do, I'm still waiting for my trailer and the summer is here in which that is why I bought it to enjoy it. Pay all that money to them and they treat you like crap. I do not recommend you buying a trailer from them or use there service department I recommend you go somewhere else. read more
