Big Daddy Shawarma is a really great place for a quick and delicious lunch or dinner! The food is always cooked to perfection, it's always fresh, tasty, and the large portions always satisfy my hunger. What stands out the most is the cleanliness of the place, which to me is the most important thing of all. Another good point to mention is the staff, they are warm, welcoming, and very generous, which adds a personal touch to every visit. The restaurant was lively for sure. Made it to the order counter. Cashier didn't really understand the nuances of the menu items and was not too helpful. Then headed over to the "pick up line." Anything new will have kinks to iron out so perhaps this is that situation but there was a lot of chaos on the line. "Next?" was often called only for us to be moved back or sent forward to some other preparer. Finally, we received one of two plates and were told the second would be brought to our table. 25 minutes later...still no sign of the item. The attitude of the line cooks/preparers came across as did all the other staff, as indifferent. That they really don't care about the customer, just the "vibe" of the space. The tension behind the counter was palpable. The lead counter guy was exhibiting his displeasure with another line preparer indicating that the underling was to blame and behind and causing the delays. But that's not the case. The chaos begins at the top and there's not a good flow to the output. People are not trained properly and as a result, our order was not correct and needed to be rectified. (in addition to the late plate). When someone buys something from someone, it's a good policy to show that it actually means something to you that your customers are patronizing your business. Being indifferent to getting it right is a turn off. Finally the food. The mix shawarma plate was plentiful and generous. People are fussing about the price but the food is fresh and good quality. I didn't love the shawarma nor the way the salads were served. I like my salad mixed together. (We asked for that but the server didn't think that was possible.) That's a personal preference. The falafel is EXCELLENT. The best falafel in town for sure. But the whole place is not run efficiently. It's a top down thing. Because the service is so bad and the restaurant a little dirty, (bathrooms, counters) we won't be going back. I like to know that the owner of a restaurant actually appreciates my business rather than seeming bothered by my being there. read more

The ordering and people working here are not helpful. Ute very confusing and if you don't seem to know what you're doing no one is helpful. When I said it was our first time and asked for a menu they looked at me like I was crazy, then realized the menu screens were not on. The food is delicious. I ordered the Tuna shawarma, but got chicken instead. They had just opened and still had some issues. The chicken was excellent, but I am mostly pescatarian, so not what I had in mind. I do like that the place is strictly kosher, so at least it was kosher chicken. They have you pay for the food, walk over to give your receipt to another employee, and they still managed to lose my order and blamed me.
