First, our bill was over $100 for 3 people. Chicken Shawarma, lamb shawarma, chicken plate and 4 Costco bottle water, Menu has no explanation and found the cashier with an attitude when she was taking our order. She just told to go to the line after giving us our receipt so we go. Then I asked what we are suppose to do when we got to the line . He gives me a nasty remark and says it's the same as everywhere else! . He was RUDE, very rude and I had to tell him I'm just asking because the cashier didn't let us know just told us to go in line. Then just went back to the grill to look at his cellphone. I told him as he was leaving we don't know and it was our first time. AMBIANCE was too loud and they allow dogs here. There was a lady feeding her dog her left over lamb bone on the floor. As we were eating our food, a guy passes by and says "what am I suppose to do she gave me my receipt". There are other place to get better shawarma if you want to be treated better. The only redeeming maybe was the pita bread. But we don't expect to come back here. I gave more star for the Pita. But our experience was meh! And door dash/ uber guy was given attitude too, he was waiting and no one came to help until a few mins later standing at the front. People here are rude. Have gone back a few times. Really good if a bit expensive (but it's Glatt Kosher, and you get a ton of sides). But the food is delicious. Very expensive for what you get. I ordered a shawarma and water, the bill came out to $31!! Shawarma is people's food/street food and price $31 is just unreasonable. Also, a tiny bottle of water was $5 or $6 ( like the bottles you get at Costco for $0.25). I was surprised by price and switched to cup of tap water. Very hard to justify the prices here. Came once alone and once with a group for lunch. I'm not even exaggerating when I tell you it cost us $80 per person for a few Shawarma plates and skewers to share with a bunch of lil salads.The bill was literally over $800!!...for a light lunch. Wanted to give this place a try since it's down the street from our house. We love Mediterranean food so we had high hopes for this place! We ordered the Beef Shawarma and the Turkey Shawarma plate (since they ran out of chicken). The pricing was justifiable considering we are in Studio City, however, after trying the food we are utterly confused how they could charge $25 for a wrap and $30 for a plate. We couldn't even finish our Beef Shawarma and we left the Turkey untouched because it tasted like the meat was expired and there was ZERO flavoring. I was overwhelmed with how kind, friendly, and welcoming everyone was. They gave me extra food, very sincere and earnest recommendations, and the food was great. We were looking for a quick dinner when driving by Big Daddy's Shawarma. The menu is expansive and sounds promising, but the in-store experience is somewhat vague with respect to what precisely is offered in each dish. Menu prices are also rather high. While I understand prices have been going up in general, these prices are sobering, even when compared to other fast/casual restaurants offering similar food. We ordered and paid at the register, before moving into line. Although one dish was overly spiced, the majority of the food was dried out and tasteless. As others have pointed out, the French fries were cold, soggy and without flavor. The staff was pleasant and attentive, and the space was clean. Had one of the best beef shawarma's! It was juicy, tasteful and filling. The sides I got were so delicious too. As soon as I walked in all the staff were so welcoming and explained the process of getting the food and gave great recommendations. I'm glad I made the choice of getting the beef shawarma. Service here is amazing, ladys at the front are so welcoming and nice. The owner is a great guy. I ordered a half lamb half chicken shawarma plate and OMG was this salty. French fries was drenched in salt and both types of shawarma was salty big time. The quality of meat and poultry is good but very fatty and oily. The shnitzel Sandwich was good. I never ever in the world paid for a plate with tax and no drink $38.00 this place is very overpriced. Never in my life paid at any certified kosher restaurant for shawarma these prices. read more
