fridge full of cold beverages! Nicely organized.

Last night my son and I wanted to give this Big Daddy's Shawarma a try for the 1st time and we were looking forward to it. We met each other in separate cars. While he was looking for parking, I was already inside checking out what their menu options were. I thought I was reading the prices wrong, but no, I was reading their prices right. After reading them few more times, my son walked in at that time. Right when we were able to place an order, we decided not to. Prices were so insanely outrageous! Super EXPENSIVE!! For one chicken or any kind of Shawarma plate was $30.00. Are you guys out of your minds?? Not to mention that in addition to their high prices, they were doing catering for Hanukkah celebration which was even more crazy. Charging $189 feast that serves 5 people. Right there and then we both walked out on empty stomachs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was whatever.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was clean, looked at other tables what people were eating, portions looked somewhat decent, and we can't comment on the food, because we didn't get a chance to taste it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wanted to use the restroom, and since it was ONLY FOR their CUSTOMERS, the employee didn't let me use it. They had a lot of employees working at the counter, where you place your order and were somewhat helpful. Also had a FANCY looking desk with a woman sitting there so you can pay first, before getting in line to place your order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had small outdoor patio seating with only 3 tables and few chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall a nice place, but if you bring down your prices, and be comparable with other Middle Eastern restaurants, then MAYBE me, we, us can give this Big Daddy a try!! Lots of parking shared with Vons and many other businesses. We left the restaurant feeling hungry, and disappointed. Went to Zanku Chicken on Riverside Dr. and had a better meal that was a lot more affordable than Big, Huge Daddy! Paid a lot LESS than $30.00 for food for the price of ONE!! For both me & my son. It really hit the spot!!

Very good food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice place and nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is on the expensive side. I ordered the hamburger and it was simple and tasty. I didnt like the fries but thats ok cause I am trying to avoid fries anyway. The service is also friendly.

Delicious food. The cost of the items were $30+, which did come with a lot of food in terms of portion. The service was okay. Overall, I had an okay experience.

Big Daddy's Shawarma in Studio City is an absolute gem. First off, the parking situation is a dream -- tons of free parking, which is rare around here and makes the whole experience stress-free from the start. We literally left another kosher spot because they didn't had parking for 20 minutes and thankfully we got to big daddys. The food? Next level. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and authentic, from the perfectly seasoned shawarma to the flavorful sides and sauces. You can tell they really care about quality and staying true to traditional flavors. Great portions, great service, and an easy, convenient location -- this place checks all the boxes. Definitely one of my go-to spots.

First time trying this place and it was delicious ! The portion was so big I couldnt finish everything. Every kind of sauce was included and my order was ready in a timely manner - Bravo !

Went a couple weeks ago for the first time and absolutely loved it. I've always passed by it and finally decided to go in and I'm so happy I did. The owner is incredible and so friendly, as well as the kitchen staff. I got all that food for only 25 dollars, for the lunch special which ALSO included a free drink. That image could easily feed 4 people so that price is crazy low! Thank you guys for an amazing first experience will definitely be coming more often

Whoa this place gives out Big Daddy portions! Unless you're a big eater this could've been two meals on one plate. The Jerusalem mix was phenomenal. Its a mix of chicken meat and organ meat (liver and heart) and seasoned so well. The side salads are also tasty. Prices might seem expensive but you're really getting a lot of food! Best Shawarma I've had in LA so far. Will definitely be back for more.

By far the best Shawarma in the valley--the meat is always fresh and perfectly seasoned, but what truly sets Big Daddy's apart is the incredible team behind the counter. Oscar, the manager, is phenomenal. He runs the place with so much pride and warmth that you instantly feel welcomed the moment you walk in. His attention to detail and genuine care for every customer really elevate the whole experience. And Jesus is just insanely good behind the counter. Super friendly, fast, and always on point with the orders. You can tell he puts heart into what he does, and it shows in the quality and consistency of every meal. If you're anywhere near Studio City, do yourself a favor and grab a shawarma here--you'll walk out smiling, full, and already planning your next visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not to mention the ambiance feels so chill you wouldn't believe it's a kosher spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Definitely recommend! Amazing management, quick Service, and huge portion sizes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tons of indoor seating and a bit of outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 3 kinds of shawarma roasting on spits. Lots of off street parking. Central and convenient location. A great addition to kosher food options in the valley.

I can't eat a lot of the cuisine due to a legume allergy, so I only ordered the feta cheese plate: five squares of feta dusted with herbs & spices, persian cucumber, tomato, mint, & Greek olives. The Yerevan cocktail was great - an unusual take on a Manhattan with banana liqueur. This would be a romantic spot for just drinks and apps, as it was chill and quiet. There's hookah as well, an extensive flavour menu and a designated "hookah guy" to attend to your setup. There's parking in the lot next door until 10:30pm - be sure to move your car by then, or it will be locked in the garage with an additional charge overnight (this didn't happen to me; I heeded other Yelp reviews and noted the signs around the garage). I paid $6 to park for 2 hours (the restaurant doesn't validate). The entrance is on the side of the building; you'll see it as soon as you exit the garage.

Among us, we had one small macbook pro for note taking. As soon as we were seated outside (among a largely empty floor) a gentleman on staff came up to me and said "Just so you know, if you are planning on using your computer, you can't." I was stunned for a minute but then approached him and asked for clarification. He said it has to do with management and that no computers are allowed. I explained that the entire reason we came there was to have a very lowkey dinner meeting and that nowhere on the website does it say that patrons can't use a laptop. Our server got involved and then talked to the manager, came back and said this one time we can use it, that they will make an exception, but the rule is no computers. We ended up staying there for convenience but I feel like the $400 we spent should have gone somewhere conducive to making a living and surviving in this world, and I have been thinking about how much I regret going there for an entire week now.

I love Amir's Falafel!…read more I've lived in Studio City for 17 years, and I've always gone to Amir's when I've had the craving for falafel or Shawarma. Located on the corner of Ventura and Colfax, Amir's has fantastic meat on a spit and Israeli salads. I love their carrot salad, their smoked eggplant, and their tomato and cucumber salad. Meats are well seasoned, juicy, and the portions are generous. Their falafel balls are well seasoned, and their hummus has a texture that I really enjoy -- it's got a tiny bit of grit to it instead of being perfectly smooth. I lived in Israel when I was in college, and I find their food to be very authentic to what I used to eat on Ben Yehuda Street. The parking lot can get a little crowded, but it's free parking, which is a plus. Service is friendly and pretty quick! There are so many great falafel and Shawarma places in the valley...but my heart belongs to Amir's.

Unfortunately, I found hair in the food a second time. I understand mistakes happen, but a repeat of the exact same hygiene issue months apart shows a lack of proper quality control. The staff were extremely respectful and kind. A gentleman actually handed the entire store free samples of their falafels prior to us getting our good which was a nice sneak peak into what we were going to have. Also just happy for the kindness later when he later provided freshly cut fruit to the patrons. The environment was nice and not too crowded but with plenty of seats for larger groups. The chicken breast was incredibly juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. What really made the bowl special was how many fresh toppings it came with. The sweet corn, flavorful kale, fresh tomato salsa, and perfectly seasoned garbanzo beans each brought something different to the dish, so every bite had a little variety. It never felt repetitive, and every ingredient elevated the bowl to the next level. The crispy pita and hummus were another highlight. The pita had a satisfying crunch, and the hummus wasn't the usual plain version. It was topped with a blend of flavorful spices that added depth and made it seriously addictive. We also ordered the quarter dark chicken, which came with two very generous sides. Both the regular fries and sweet potato fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. What impressed me most was that every component of the meal was thoughtfully prepared. Nothing felt like an afterthought. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh and healthy, and the seasoning was spot on from start to finish. It's rare to find a place where even the kale, garbanzo beans, and side dishes are memorable, but Girl & the Chicken pulled it off.
