fridge full of cold beverages! Nicely organized.

Last night my son and I wanted to give this Big Daddy's Shawarma a try for the 1st time and we were looking forward to it. We met each other in separate cars. While he was looking for parking, I was already inside checking out what their menu options were. I thought I was reading the prices wrong, but no, I was reading their prices right. After reading them few more times, my son walked in at that time. Right when we were able to place an order, we decided not to. Prices were so insanely outrageous! Super EXPENSIVE!! For one chicken or any kind of Shawarma plate was $30.00. Are you guys out of your minds?? Not to mention that in addition to their high prices, they were doing catering for Hanukkah celebration which was even more crazy. Charging $189 feast that serves 5 people. Right there and then we both walked out on empty stomachs. Ambiance was whatever. Place was clean, looked at other tables what people were eating, portions looked somewhat decent, and we can't comment on the food, because we didn't get a chance to taste it. Wanted to use the restroom, and since it was ONLY FOR their CUSTOMERS, the employee didn't let me use it. They had a lot of employees working at the counter, where you place your order and were somewhat helpful. Also had a FANCY looking desk with a woman sitting there so you can pay first, before getting in line to place your order. Had small outdoor patio seating with only 3 tables and few chairs. Overall a nice place, but if you bring down your prices, and be comparable with other Middle Eastern restaurants, then MAYBE me, we, us can give this Big Daddy a try!! Lots of parking shared with Vons and many other businesses. We left the restaurant feeling hungry, and disappointed. Went to Zanku Chicken on Riverside Dr. and had a better meal that was a lot more affordable than Big, Huge Daddy! Paid a lot LESS than $30.00 for food for the price of ONE!! For both me & my son. It really hit the spot!!

Delicious food. The cost of the items were $30+, which did come with a lot of food in terms of portion. The service was okay. Overall, I had an okay experience.

Very good food. Nice place and nice atmosphere. The food is on the expensive side. I ordered the hamburger and it was simple and tasty. I didnt like the fries but thats ok cause I am trying to avoid fries anyway. The service is also friendly.

Big Daddy's Shawarma in Studio City is an absolute gem. First off, the parking situation is a dream -- tons of free parking, which is rare around here and makes the whole experience stress-free from the start. We literally left another kosher spot because they didn't had parking for 20 minutes and thankfully we got to big daddys. The food? Next level. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and authentic, from the perfectly seasoned shawarma to the flavorful sides and sauces. You can tell they really care about quality and staying true to traditional flavors. Great portions, great service, and an easy, convenient location -- this place checks all the boxes. Definitely one of my go-to spots.

Whoa this place gives out Big Daddy portions! Unless you're a big eater this could've been two meals on one plate. The Jerusalem mix was phenomenal. Its a mix of chicken meat and organ meat (liver and heart) and seasoned so well. The side salads are also tasty. Prices might seem expensive but you're really getting a lot of food! Best Shawarma I've had in LA so far. Will definitely be back for more.

Went a couple weeks ago for the first time and absolutely loved it. I've always passed by it and finally decided to go in and I'm so happy I did. The owner is incredible and so friendly, as well as the kitchen staff. I got all that food for only 25 dollars, for the lunch special which ALSO included a free drink. That image could easily feed 4 people so that price is crazy low! Thank you guys for an amazing first experience will definitely be coming more often

By far the best Shawarma in the valley--the meat is always fresh and perfectly seasoned, but what truly sets Big Daddy's apart is the incredible team behind the counter. Oscar, the manager, is phenomenal. He runs the place with so much pride and warmth that you instantly feel welcomed the moment you walk in. His attention to detail and genuine care for every customer really elevate the whole experience. And Jesus is just insanely good behind the counter. Super friendly, fast, and always on point with the orders. You can tell he puts heart into what he does, and it shows in the quality and consistency of every meal. If you're anywhere near Studio City, do yourself a favor and grab a shawarma here--you'll walk out smiling, full, and already planning your next visit. Not to mention the ambiance feels so chill you wouldn't believe it's a kosher spot.

Definitely recommend! Amazing management, quick Service, and huge portion sizes. Tons of indoor seating and a bit of outdoor seating. 3 kinds of shawarma roasting on spits. Lots of off street parking. Central and convenient location. A great addition to kosher food options in the valley.

The restaurant feels open and welcoming, and the atmosphere is calm which is something I personally appreciate when going out to eat. The service was good and the staff were polite and friendly. They checked on us and made sure everything was fine during the meal. For the food, I ordered the salmon fillet with risotto and fries and it was honestly excellent. The salmon was cooked really well, flavorful, and the portion was generous. The risotto paired very nicely with it and the fries were crispy and fresh. My wife ordered the Greek toast and she really enjoyed it as well. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The only issue we experienced was the waiting time for the food. We waited a little over 20 minutes for our dishes to arrive. It was not only us either. We could hear another customer sitting across from us who was also mentioning the waiting time and seemed a bit frustrated about it. Aside from the wait, everything else about the place was very good. The food was tasty, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and the overall experience was positive. That is the only reason I am giving four stars instead of five. With a slightly faster kitchen time this place could easily be a five star spot.

The place itself is nice, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the quality. A big plus is that the food is kosher, which adds a lot of comfort and peace of mind. The staff was friendly, helpful, and patient, and it really felt like every request was met with a smile. I also liked the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that it wasn't too noisy. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I can definitely see myself coming back again

We paid $68 for two salads and an order of fries, which felt overpriced for the quality and portions. What really stood out, however, was the customer service. I visited with my mother and my toddler son. Since my son wasn't going to eat fried food, I bought him a fruit smoothie from a neighboring business. While we were already in line paying for our order, the owner or manager approached us and informed us that outside food and drinks were not allowed because the restaurant is kosher. Although he said he would make an exception this one time, he approached us again while we were waiting outside for our food. We had chosen to sit outside because the restaurant was crowded, loud, and stuffy inside. Despite us not causing any issues, he again insisted that the smoothie could not be on the premises and began explaining that his license could be suspended due to association rules. We politely told him it wasn't a problem and decided to take our food to go. I understand businesses have policies, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially considering the drink was for a toddler and we had already spent nearly $70 at the restaurant. Between the mediocre food, high prices, and rude customer service, I would not return. There are plenty of better dining options in the area.

On top of that it was both very heavy on the turmeric, but lacking basics such as salt. This may be explained way by the fact that this Cholent appeals to the Ashkenazi crowd who prefer things to be relatively on the bland side. The vegetables were tasty, but what seemed to be warmed vegetables, turned out to be cold vegetables with one exception; the warm okra was mixed in with the cold vegetables. A mistake that can cause problems down the line. The Israeli pitas that were bought to take home and freeze were perfectly good. Of note was the staffs, great attitude, big smiles, and willingness to help and guide. This reviewer however, gets the feeling that if you are not Israeli (that is to say, Hebrew speaker) or Jewish, you'd be lost at the menu and offerings. So some homework and preparation are essential.
