Came here with family for lunch over the weekend. I ordered the fish and chips and subbed my fries for rice and beans. I appreciated how easy it was to customize the sides. I was pretty disappointed when my food first came out. You can probably see by the picture that it was a pretty underwhelming plate. I typically picture fish and chips to come with 2-3 thick wide slabs of fish filet so these rounded crinkly guys were not what I was expecting. The fish itself was fine, nothing very impressive and I got tired of how breaded it was by the end. The hush puppies were tasty and I liked the sauce that came with it. Honestly the rice and beans were the most flavorful enjoyable part. Our server was kind and the restaurant itself is pretty cool looking so no complaints there. I just don't think my meal was worth the price at all. Would maybe come back to try something else but just felt like any average restaurant for tourists on Main St. read more

Some things here are amazing and some things here are not good. Their crabcakes are terrible. Their red fish is amazing. Their Caesar salad dressing tastes like someone just put heavy cream on your salad and that's it - it's bad. Their pasta with Cajun cream sauce is out of this world. The crawfish is fabulous. First time here, the area looks cozy and nice however the experience was not that good. Upon entry the hostess informed us we had 30 minutes till closing however I had just watched a few other individuals walk in prior to us entering. I hope this isnt standard practice with subtle hints as how the meal might be due to closing time as it is in a busy area. I would expect them to be prepared as it is close to the holidays and the events going on. I'll start off by saying the Whiskey was good as I had some Eagle Rare and that's it. As for the food, we started off with the Fried Calamari that seemed to be over cooked as it was chewy and rubbery however the seasoning and breading were good. I had the Shrimp Poboy and this seemed to be undercooked as it seemed fishy as if it was old. For the wife she had the Crabcake as it was under cooked as the outsides were warm and mushy and the center was cold and mushy as well. Now for my daughters burger it was under cooked as in the meat was cooked just enough for no pink but it was gray and did not look like a done hamburger patty with cheese. The fries seemed to be just seasoned in the center as you can tell from the picture and not evenly. I think overall the food was rushed as yes it was closing time.however I believe the quality of the food should not be affected especially in this restaurants location and events occurring. read more

We discovered this spot while exploring historic downtown Grapevine, in the midst of all the antique shops and wineries. The staff was friendly and attentive, and actively patient as we were trying to decide between their seafood and maybe beyond (they have a surprising selection of steak, pasta, and platters to satisfy more particular appetites). We were in a shrimp mood today, decided to go with the fried shrimp basket and the blackened shrimp caesar salad, + a side of hush puppies. My expectations were not high, as Dallas is beyond landlocked but it was a delightful surprise! The blackened shrimp was generously seasoned and a lot of the flavors contain hints of Cajun, with plenty of sauces accompanying them. Our party of 6 had a wait time of about 45min at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Of the orders there was a Beach Party Platter(66.99$mkt price at the time) the shrimp was small and overcooked as well as the corn but the crab clusters were phenomenal, two pounds of crawfish($5/lb) they were big crawfish, fish and chips(small pieces of cod, not wide per usual fish n chips) and gumbo(soupier than traditionally made) an adult ordered a chicken strip dinner and it was the same plate as a chicken strip dinner that a child had ordered, the waitress made it right and we enjoyed the service . We were also seated upstairs and it was pretty loud but once it cleared, it was magically intimate. read more
