Turned out it was someone's home. Evidently they can be hired for catering. This is NOT a sit-down restaurant.

TLDR: Was visiting my daughter, we decided to do a little road trip to some hill cntry towns. I…read morethought we would do a bbq sandwich tour/comparison. I'd earmarked Old 300 as the place in Blanco, to go up against the others. We arrived on a Monday about 1:20p. After lunch hour, and the place was packed. (that's an indicator right there. One of the slowest days for restaurants during the week, and not at peak meal time.) The line went quick. They have what's listed as a "BBQ Sandwich" - it's a blend of chopped brisket and chopped pulled pork (not in long, stringy strands) together. We were going to hit other towns & sandwiches, so for the two of us we just ordered one sandwich and a side of potato salad. We got it to-go. Sat at an empty table. Got ourselves fixins - some doctored up onions (sliced, seems like they sauté them a little in butter and then top w fresh cracked black pepper), pickles, and both their Sweet and their Spicy sauces. They brought it out quickly, less than 5 min. We opted to just eat it there instead of take it to the next town. We topped with pickles, onions, and the Sweet sauce. Oh my freakin' sweet Lord! In this small Texas town with an unassuming spot a block and a half off the main road going through town, easily one of the top 5 bbq sandwiches of all time - no joke! To break it down, we tasted all items individually. The onions are delectable - softened from the sauté, good moisture from the butter, delicious. The Sweet sauce is crazy good. A fantastic balance of sweet, tang, & slight bite. I've never said this before but it's true - told my daughter, "I could just sit here and dip these pickles in this sauce for the next 30 minutes and be completely satisfied." The sauce, yes, is that good. Daughter is not a heat/spice lover, but she did try the Spicy sauce and we both thought it was definitely tame as far as heat goes. We both thought the Spicy sauce was okay. The Sweet sauce, though, stellar! We were overwhelmed by how good it all was. When we got to the car, I said, "All the ingredients together was like a symphony." Next time I visit her, am absolutely gonna suggest another drive out to Blanco specifically, to try some other items on the menu. But I can say this, for the BBQ Sandwich, pickles, doctored onions, and Sweet sauce alone, Old 300 is worth a generous drive and you will 100 percent be happy as a lark. Thanks for fantastic meal, Old 300. Will most definitely be back.

So as of 2026, the barbecue place is about 68 years old. It's considered one of the classic old-school Central Texas barbecue joints and still operates much like a traditional meat-market-style BBQ house. This is an older building, including bathrooms... One of which was not working. Was disappointed that their sides include potato salad, and beans only because when I go to barbecue, I love Colliard greens, potato salad, beet salad, etc. not available here. The brisket slice I had likely the best piece of brisket I've ever had in my life. Now... Don't go crazy. I don't eat brisket typically when I do barbecue. The rib that I had was decent. The sausage I had by comparison to other barbecue places was unfortunately the worst that I've ever had. I'm not sure what grind they use, but it seems like it was more beef and somewhat sweet to my pallet which I personally don't care for in sausage. Overall, if I just wanted brisket, I would return but next time I'm in Luling I likely will go to the place right next-door to them and try them.

Lots of family memories here. Our daughter found this BBQ and wanted to try it out. We drove up & it's not fancy but the smell of delicious BBQ hit us as we got out of the car so we knew it was promising! We pored over the menu and I decided on a sausage sandwich with Mac 'n Cheese. You order at the counter and food is brought out. The rustic interior was clean and we easily found a table. It wasn't too long before we all received our meals. We all agreed this was great BBQ! My sausage had a bit of heat but it was tasty! The Mac 'n Cheese was rich & savory. We loved the BBQ sauce. Our grandson claimed his chicken strips & fries were the best he ever had & this kid does not lie! Everything was so good! As we were leaving I spoke to one of the owners to let him know we really enjoyed the BBQ & asked if I could take a photo. He said Tracy was in the back & I asked if she could also pose for a snapshot. They sweetly obliged me. I told him we were from CA but hubby's parents used to live in Canyon Lake. They gave me some free stickers to share. Great BBQ, friendly staff, and welcoming owners! What's not to love?

I'd classify 2M as a joint. Just the way I like it. Nothing fancy, the way BBQ should be. The Pork Belly was OMG excellent. Hot and moist. I asked for potato salad or maybe Cole slaw. They had neither that day. They suggested egg salad. I just thought about mom's egg salad. NOPE not gonna even try. My wife talked me into it. HUH, I really liked 2M egg salad. It was cold and chunky like. Not like mom's dripping egg mess. My wife got the burnt ends. She really liked it. Unfortunately, 2M is literally across the county from the house. Portions were solid, and the homemade-style pickles were actually really good too. But a lot of the rest was disappointing. They have an hour wait was brutal especially when many items started falling off the menu, what's the time I was waiting on the outside The meat came out cold, and the sandwich was insanely salty to the point where it was hard to finish. The BBQ sauce was super sweet and thin, and honestly made things worse instead of better. They were also out of a ton of menu items and most of the sides. Only mac and cheese was left, and after trying it... I kind of understood why. They put pork rind dust on top, which caught me off guard since. The pulled pork had salsa verde and cilantro mixed into it. Maybe it would've been better hot, but I personally wasn't a fan of that flavor combo for BBQ. The brisket nachos sounded amazing because of the Oaxaca cheese, but it honestly felt unnecessary and kind of a crime against good brisket. Overall, it feels like they're trying really hard to be different instead of just focusing on making consistently great Texas BBQ. There are definitely better BBQ spots in San Antonio in my opinion. If you go, go right when they open so the food is fresh, hot, and they still have the full menu available. Also, the inside seating area is really small. The parking lot is a mess alone, it rained the night before, so literally my entire tire was underwater in the parking lot . If it's packed, honestly come back another day because standing outside in the Texas heat while eating super salty BBQ sounds like a recipe for heat stroke.

I saw some white lady that just looked angry behind the counter I'm assuming is the owner. Now, I did have VERY high expectations for this place because I have been a long time follower of 90 West barbecue since they first began. I know Jesus and Robin moved to this location. With that said I had high hopes the food would have came along with them, which by visual plating, and taste it absolutely did not. I honestly felt them two would have easily been brought this place on the top 50 bbq list and that got me so excited to make the drive out to try it.
