    Big Hoffa Combo Meal
    Carolyn C.

Legit! So good! Super friendly staff, lots of ice cream samples and the best bbq and sides. Out group of four all tried something different including chicken, brisket the hoffenator fries, and another rice type of bowl. We all devoured our plates. All had a taste of the fries, slaw, Mac and cheese, beans and pickled veges - all were so good. Vibes in this place as casual, a bit quirky and fun! Looks like there are also some fun extras to also purchase including souvenir cups, tees and their sauces. We've been here all week for a softball tournament and hands down agree this was our favorite meal from the trip! Plenty of room for large groups (we were here early around 4pm and it was getting busier by the minute), also a tavern in the front of the building so the bar is a bit secluded from the restaurant.

Chicken Meat on a Plate with 2 Sides & 2 Garlic Butter Rolls

I've heard so many good things about Big Hoffas so I had to try it out for myself. Stepping out of my car in the parking lot, I was immediately drenched in bbq smell so I knew this was about to be good! Big Hoffas is set up as more of a casual restaurant, where you first get in line to order food, then choose a table. They will call you based off of your receipt/ticket when food is ready. I got the chicken "meat on a plate" which comes with 2 sides + 2 dinner rolls. For my sides, I got pickled veggies and macaroni. The chicken was super moist! The meat doesn't come with sauce (it is only seasoned), so I added a mix of their mild and spicy bbq sauces to the chicken myself. My pickled veggies (red onion, carrots) were crisp and a great side to balance out a typically heavy bbq meal. The mac and cheese wasn't my favorite, since I prefer a tangier mac. Considering how much food I got, Big Hoffas was a steal! They also have an ice cream stand, but I was too full to consider dessert.

Big Hoffa's was a great meal and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I ordered the half rack of ribs with seasoned fries, mac and cheese, and rolls. There was a lot of food for the price, and the ribs had plenty of meat on them. The fries were solid, and while the mac and cheese wasn't my favorite and reminded me a bit of cafeteria mac and cheese, I still left full and had leftovers to take home. The food was ready surprisingly fast, probably within 7 to 10 minutes. The staff was friendly throughout the visit and did a great job checking in on us, clearing trays, and making sure everything was going well. As for the atmosphere, I can appreciate the theme they were going for, even if it's not quite my style. The dining room is pretty dark, and the dark murals make it feel even darker. That said, the food and service easily made up for it. Overall, it was a really good experience and a place I'd happily visit again.

My husband and I have repeatedly been told how good the food is at Big Hoffas, so it's been on our list to visit for a loooong time. That is why it pains me to be giving this 3-star review. It's not that anything was bad, but after all the hype, we just weren't impressed. Let me start off by saying that the space is very cool. I loved the dark, swamp-themed mural painted on the wall, the banging playlist and the inclusion of a bar in the back as well as the ice cream counter. The staff were jovial, accommodating and extremely pleasant to interact with. My husband and I both ordered 1/2 slab rib combos. My 1/2 was much larger/meatier than his, so we swapped. The combo comes with two sides. We both ordered the baked beans, he had the coleslaw, and I had the macaroni and cheese. Categorically, everything was ok...good even, but not great or amazing, which were the words that we'd heard from others. Perhaps we didn't order the right items. The ribs were beautiful with the perfect smoke ring. They were seasoned well, but they were not as tender as I would've liked. I like my ribs to be fall-off-the-bone tender, but I know that isn't necessarily the industry standard. The sauce options were mild and hot, but I could barely distinguish the difference between the two. Hot is not spicy. The macaroni and cheese could've used some salt and pepper, but the baked beans were spot-on. The beans were on the sweet side, which is just how I like them. The platter is also served with soft, buttery, rolls with garlic.

Big Hoffa's was A-OK in my book! Came to Indy for a bball tournament and had some time to kill in between games to grab some lunch. Hubby and I ordered a meal for two and it came with your choice of 2 meats plus ribs, and 2 sides along with bread rolls, and pickled veggies. We decided on the pulled chicken, brisket, ribs, with sides of Mac n cheese and bbq beans. Everything was delicious and very filling. Kinda sad that I didn't get to order dessert as we decided too late and didn't want to get back in line. Restaurant is set up where you're in line to place your order and pick up your order at the other counter. Line can get a little long but it goes by pretty fast. You then seat yourself and all the condiments, sauce, and drinks are all at different stations for self serve. There are plenty of seats inside and even a bar inside the restaurant. Very casual and kid friendly atmosphere.

This is the first real barbecue place I've tried in the area and it's delicious. They have their own unique twists on many things and it's all really good! The brisket sandwich and rack of ribs were juicy and tender. All the staff is super friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Overall its just really what you want from a barbecue joint. We didn't get to try the ice cream but all of the flavors look fantastic as well.

Big Hoffa's is such a vibe. It's always busy, has great food, and fun atmosphere. The speak easy is a nice touch to a classic staple of Westfield.

Such good BBQ. Being from San Diego, I always like to try local favorites and Big Hoffa's did not disappoint. Service was outstanding, every person I encountered was very nice and helpful!! Great place for families or groups of people!! Tried the Brisket Sandwich and some ribs a friend gave me. Whatever they used to create that crust on the ribs was perfect!! Not too sweet, not too overbearing, just money!!! Finished it off with Peach Cobbler which you can pick up after you eat, I thought that was pretty cool (you order everything at once). Will be back next year when we're in town!!

This smokehouse BBQ spot is absolutely worth the hype and an easy add to the regular rotation. Got here right when they opened and there was already a big line out the door, which is always a good sign for a BBQ place. Even though it was busy, the line moved at a reasonable pace and the food made the wait more than worth it. The atmosphere had that casual, bustling smokehouse feel that works well for both adults and families. The food itself was the standout. The meat was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly -- juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you go out for BBQ. The fries were very crispy and well done, not soggy or limp, and the mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and super satisfying as a side. Everything on the plate felt fresh and hot, not like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. It was also a big win for our family. Our toddler loved it so much she ate her entire kids' meal, which almost never happens, so that really says a lot about how good the food was. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and it felt like an easy, low-stress place to bring a little one. Between the great BBQ, solid sides, and how well it worked for our toddler, this is definitely a spot we'll be coming back to again.

Came in on a Saturday night and OMG it was great!!! Pros - Quick service - Amazing quality. Meat was spectacular!! - Sassafrass tea was delicious! - Homemade pickles were great - Pricing not bad ($45 for two plates and an extra side of pickles) Cons - I can't eat it daily!

This food is amazing! We just moved to Westfield and knew we wanted to try this place. We did order a delivery and were initially brought the incorrect food, but they quickly resolved the issue and delivered the correct order immediately. We can't wait to visit the actual restaurant someday soon. Highly recommend!

I am so glad we did! Wedding food is often so-so, but our guests gave the Savory Mexican buffet (taco & nacho bar) great reviews! It also included queso, cilantro-lime rice, fajita vegetables, cilantro-lime sour cream, guacamole, flour tortillas, and taco chips, along with other sauces and salsas. This menu was perfect for our vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests, too. We had quite a few leftovers, which we froze for easy summer meals (no leftover shrimp!!). The setup and serving team were great and kept the buffet well stocked. After booking Nameless Catering for the wedding, we decided to use them for the rehearsal dinner (also at Lizton Lodge) and chose their Signature Pasta menu. Again, this was the perfect choice. Though the per-person price seemed a bit high at first (though quite competitive), the quality and quantity of the food and the paper products made the cost worth it. I'd highly recommend Nameless Catering for your next wedding or other event.

My only hope is that they get some more sides in the future like fries & Mac n cheese. But meat is the real MVP. One piece of advice: get there early. They just opened their new restaurant and are still figuring out how much food to prepare each day, and they were completely sold out before 2 p.m. That's a good problem to have! Show up hungry because you'll want to try everything. Be patient as they are figuring this out and have huge crowds. We waited in line for about 40 minutes and it was well worth it. On top of all that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the BBQ. Ben is a blast to talk to, and his staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming.
