After researching tire reviews, the tires I decided on were carried only by Big O. They had four in their warehouse locally. Jeremy at the Tempe Big O was able to arrange for their delivery and installation within a day's time and at a convenient time of day for me. The cost was reasonable; I didn't have to wait long while they were installed. While I waited, I was able to use their Wi-Fi at the store, which helped me keep up with work . I will probably use Big O in the future. I do have a Costco membership, but Big O had the product I needed, and made it convenient and painless for me. read more

This big o is shady don't deal with them. I bought 4 tires 3 months ago with tire protection plan. One of my tires blew out, a couple days ago so I took it in to get replaced under warranty. They didn't have the tire so they had to order from another store for me to pick up at 1:30 or two however when I picked up the tire they try to charge me $33 you have to pay for labor and a disposal fee of 4.44 and a new tire protection plan. This is where I get pissed! I would not buy a warranty unless everything was said to be covered. 16.95 to mount my tire on the rim. My car wasn't even there I saved them time and no discount. I was trying to work down the price because the manager did not tell me I would have to pay for the tire. So the tire warranty is 11.50, I ask them to take off the warranty on that tire. The sleepy mechanic tells me no that I have to buy a warranty, and they are not aloud to give me my damn tire back because "it's an EPA thing I can't give it back because you'll go throw it in a dumpster or alley!" I leave after paying the money and my girlfriend gets pissed call them. They deny the whole thing and tell me I can get my money back but only on the warranty. These guys are dirtbags don't deal with them. read more

I took my car there a couple of times because of its close location and convenient hours. EVERY single time I take my car there, they tell me something (in the range of $1000) is wrong with my car. They tell me that if I don't fix it soon, my car will simply fall apart next week. I kept having to turn down their "kind concern" and just tell them to complete the work that I initially requested. I finally had enough when I came in two weeks ago just to check on the cost of the tires and he tried to tell me that along with my tires, I absolutely required another $800 worth of repairs (all this just by looking at my tires). I never even asked him to see what else was wrong with my car!! Just needed a quote on my tires. It just made me sick! Needless to say, I purchased my tires elsewhere. They're running a $20 special on oil changes. I came in 3 or 4 cars were ahead of me, the gentlemen quoted me an hour and half wait. He was right! They had a huge couch to sit on and this location was better than the one on McClintock n Elliott. Where the guy over there Named Eddie is rude and only wants a drop off service. Eddie said I can get you in between 2 and 4 hours. Only if you drop your car off....Most ppl don't have that option. I loved this place. They had me in and out and the car feels better! TOTAL RIP OFF !!! They told me over the phone that it would cost about $340. to replace my brake pads. If they needed to replace the rotors, it would be another $160. So around $ 500. total....That sounded fine with me....So I took my car down there. After they had the car up on the lift, they told me that it was going to be $800. !!!! ( For just a simple break job). I was freakin' shocked. I told them to forget the whole thing, and I took my car to my regular mechanic 2 days later. (I didn't take it to my regular guy at first, because he is kind of expensive.)...It turns out that I DIDN'T need my rotors replaced, and he did the whole job for $400. ---AVOID THIS PLACE------DO NOT GO THERE------YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF. read more

We came in just to get our tires checked because we had noticed a noise coming from them. Will quoted us at an 1 1/2 to 2 hours.. About 30 mins into waiting he let us know he was already checking out the car and would have it ready soon. He then showed us how damaged our tire was and kindly helped us pick out tires in our price range. Called for an oil change from the parking lot and was told there was no wait, when I walked in literally less than a minute later they told me there was a 2 hour wait. Jeremy was ride and had no interest in helping me. They DIDN'T rotate like my tires like they were supposed to and were shady about it when I asked them about it. Instead of the price they had listed there were arbitrary fees that made it almost $10 more. Their employees were grimy, shady and not at all courteous or pleasant. Whoever comes in here with a bad experience is either cheaper than I, or unfamiliar with the process of automotive shops. Foremost, this location is absolutely phenomenal when it comes to service, coupled with information. Jeremy won't press a sale on you, but he'll ALWAYS let you know what's going on with your car and when something needs to be done. With that, I've been using this shop since 2012. In nearly a half decade, I've never had any complaints. They've serviced every oil change on my car since I purchased it. My wife is now a fan because the stellar performance they did on her new set of four tires. In all, you can't go to a restaurant and not be asked whether you want dessert. Don't go to a mechanic and not expect them to offer upgrades or more to your service, but at the same time don't vilify them for being precautious as it pertains to your safety! Last, I recommend everyone give them a shot and treat your own experience as that, an experience. read more

I had been going to this particular location for a few years and didn't have too much trouble outside the normal mechanic experience where you go in for one thing and get told a list of other potential repairs. I normally go over them and see what I can do for best preventative maintenance. I took my car in earlier this year for an oil change and they suggested I check out my headers and get them replaced. It was pretty expensive, but I decided it was best and went ahead an did it. A couple days later I experienced a new noise in my car and brought it back. they took it around the block and checked it out and said the car was fine, but that my back right mount bushing hub would need to be replaced in the near future. Several days later, my car breaks down on the side of the road at PHX sky harbor. I immediately tow it back to Big O tires and have them check it out the following day when they are open. I deal with the usual guy, Jeremy, and he informs me that there is metal in my oil tank and that my best bet is to get a new engine. I explain to him that I was just in there getting my engine looked at and I was told everything was fine, minus the back mount. He says they didn't do anything and that he can get me quotes for an engine and agreed to let me leave my car at the shop in the meantime. I called the dealership where my car was bought, the manufacturer and Big O Tires corporate office to see what my options were moving. The corporate office contacted the local Big O' for their side of the story and I got a call from Jeremy immediately after. He's been pretty laid back and helpful in the past, but this call was extremely rude. He threatened to tow my car off of "his lot" if I didn't pick it up by midnight and called me out of my name several times before hanging up in my face. I called their corporate office back and they agreed that he was acting unprofessional and they reiterated that his behavior was not exemplary of their company. I asked for this situation to be escalated and they assured me that it would. Each location is managed independently and they asked me to email them so they could forward it on to them gentleman who ran this particular Big O. After following up via phone and email for several weeks, I received no response and the corporate office stopped taking my calls. My engine had under 60k miles and saw regular maintenance. In the past I've recommended Big O tires, but now I wouldn't recommend them at all. read more

I came here twice in a week because my big o purchased tires attract nails like magnets. On both occasions it took about an hour. There didn't try to upsell me on any repairs and they didn't break anything. It was really uneventful except for the kid who got his bike hit by a car at the intersection but that's another story. I brought my car to Big-O because it was making noise when I pushed on the brakes. They looked at my car and Will informed me that I need around 2k of work done AND new tires. I have a Toyota with less than 60k miles. I took my car to get a second opinion. The second shop told me I only needed my back brake pads replaced and it would be less than $200. I am beyond disappointed with this location. I was lied to about the state of my vehicle and the assessment of "this needs to be fixed in order to be safe to drive" was false. If there were a way to give "0" stars that's exactly what I would have done! This company (this particular location) is full of crooks and a bunch of men who either look hungover daily or haven't showered in good amount of time! I am disgusted at how they treat customers. I took my car in for new tires and alignment first and thought I had received a good deal because I didn't know better. Then my check engine light came on and the gentleman that called me quoted me $736.00 for the repairs needed I politely decline and he said "then you need to come pickup your car". So I picked up my car and took it to another shop o was referred to and the total was $40... yes $40 because all I needed was a new spark plug! Crooks! Lastly, I needed an oil change at a later time and thought "they can't mess this up" (stupid thought I know). Took my car in with a coupon for an "early bird special" for 16.95 for an oil change and the gentleman said this is only for a car that doesn't use synthetic oil but we will work with the coupon and give you a good deal. I got a call that my car was done and the total was $84!! WTF!?! I called another Big O and this shop said it wouldn't be more than $52 with the coupon I had. So o call the Big o back that had my car and their response was "oh we are individually owned but we will do it for 60" get there only to pay $70 because "well what I quoted wasn't including tax" for $70 bucks I could have taken my Honda Civic to a dealership and received better service and a decent individuals to complete my oil change! Lesson learned but I HIGHLY suggest you avoid this shop AT ALL COSTS! Even the "manager" is a joke of a human! Big O will never receive my business again- not this location! read more

When i get there approx 2 min later my car was still in the parking lot and they said it would take at least a hour longer.
