Avoid this place at all costs. Was given a total by the front desk worker, Graham, before getting my tire replaced. After getting my tire replaced, he told me that the total was higher than what he initially claimed. I also noticed he had an attitude as I spoke to him calmly. When I tried explaining to him that he already gave me a total, he told me he never gave me a total and that I was wrong. He also threw my key hard against the counter when returning it. My key is electronic so it could have broken from his throw. I've never been so appalled by such horrific customer service at an auto shop. I will never return to this location. From their dishonesty to their rude behavior, I am amazed that this location Is still standing. read more

A year ago I had tires put on my car that were suppose to be comparable to the original tires. Paid $775 buy 3 get 4th free. The original tires are "run flats" and there is NO SPARE TIRE in my car. Did I get comparable tires??? NOOOOOOO! I am trying to sell my car and now am having to buy ALL NEW tires because they were NOT the correct tires. Poor sales team communication. Beware! I brought my car in for an alignment and was told they couldn't align it because the control arms were bent. They made this assessment after just merely looking under my car. They did offer to replace the control arms and then do the alignment the for just under $700. I declined and took my car to Les Schwab Tire Center in Wheat Ridge where they were able to align it within 30 minutes and confirm that the control arms were in perfect condition. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this location and Alex, the owner! I can feel safe driving my minivan because of their service and their understanding of how important it is to have a road ready vehicle. People tend to underestimate how important it is to have good tires. Yeah, we see ads about keeping your family safe and being able to stop quickly. But those ads are simply overwhelmed by the other type of commercial.The ones with cars speeding and sliding around. These make it seem as if the tires' sole purpose is to leave cool skid mark patterns. Nope, good tires are an essential part of vehicles safety. And it is not just the tread that I am talking about. Property inflated tires will save your life. It may read like a lot of hyperbole, but every time you get into your vehicle and drive you are entrusting your life to the people who help you maintain that vehicle. I immediately searched for a tire store near me when my minivan's check tire symbol came on. Not knowing why the light was on or which tire was affected can be a bit nerve-racking. I found this Big O tires through Yelp and they were the closest place to get assistance. I was helped personally by Alex who fully understood why I would stop everything simply to have someone look at my tires rather than just fill them with air for a buck in quarters. As it turned out there was a nail in one of the tires. They fixed at a very reasonable price. I was impressed by the fact that he did not try to sell me a new tire. Since I did not know which tire was going flat, he could have very easily created a situation that was to his financial advantage. You do not often come across people with that type of integrity. I was simply some chick with her mom and a problem tire. That's what some shady people would call easy pickings. Instead of being ripped off for a brand new tire, I am riding around in style with not only a fix tire but the other three properly filled as well. I have been patronizing this Big O location for years, and I would say it is "ok". I think it's been through a number of managers, and my experience has ranged from stellar to kinda frustrating. More recently it's been on the frustrating side. Awhile back a two week old tire I bought here blew out on the sidewall (manufacturing defect) during rush hour traffic and I had to argue with the manager to have them replace it at no cost. Yesterday I went in and they quoted me an unreasonably high price for four budget brand tires, assuring me this was the "best deal" they could offer me. Went next door to Discount Tires and got similarly rated tires for $150 less. Three stars because I don't think they are crooks and have treated me better in the past. But... you might be able to do better. Call ahead to ask about prices! It never hurts to shop around. read more

5 but should be 10 ! We usually use the Big O Tires on Union and have been very happy with them. Big O has nitrogen which my tires need and it is FREE! On February 4, we were leaving Denver to attend a funeral for a family member so we were packed full in my little BMW X1. We also had our Black Lab with us. As we drove down I-70, I saw the low tire light was on. This happens occasionally with this car when there is a fluctuation in the weather temps and air usually fixes the problem. We were not pleased that this would happen as we were leaving for a trip but better now than later. So, we Googled for the nearest Big O and went to Big O Tires at NW 52nd St. in Arvada. We thought we would soon be on our way. I walked into the store and told the guy what I needed. I said, air, and he said, well, we've got it. Good sense of humor and I needed that because I was aggravated that we were delayed on our trip. I laughed at his comment. Unfortunately, I did not get the names of either of the guys who helped me. Both are rock stars! Extremely nice guy, took my name and commented that was his mother's name also but she spells it differently than I do. He saw our dog and told us to bring her in to the waiting area, that she would be fine. I drove my car into the bay and the guy who changed the tire started to add air. He felt around the tire and told me he was certain there was a nail in the tire and showed me. Crap. I asked how long it would take, knowing we had several hours on the road ahead. He said less than an hour. Great! I went back to the waiting area. Soon, he came in and said my car has locks on the lugnuts, or whatever they are called. Aaauuugh!! That meant we had to unload the car to find the lugnut key. So, he patiently waited and also helped me unload the car. I knew I had been given a key when we bought the car but I couldn't remember exactly where it was or even what it looked like. The guy showed me keys he had but none of them had fit on my car. He then helped me look everywhere possible in my car. Just as I was ready to call the dealer, he found the key. Such a huge help! When he pulled the tire off, he showed me the nail and pulled it out of the tire. A roofing nail and I knew exactly where I'd gotten it. Anyway, he fixed the tire in record time, helped me repack my car and we loaded the dog in, then I got my purse to go pay. I told him I was ready to pay whatever because it was worth it. He looked at me like I was a crazy woman and said that fixing a tire is free. Well, I knew the air was free but he fixed my tire! Awesome guy! We left and couldn't believe Big O Tires is this awesome and the guys who work for them are the best. I just wish they were closer because I would go to them every time. The best!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I would give 0 stars if I could. First of all it took them 5 days to get me and new tire and rim for my front driver side. I always had to call them and get updates they said the 1st shipment all the rims and tires came "bent" crock of shit. They jacked me around and then come to find out after everything was done a fixed I found my back rim was bent? Shouldn't they have caught that? Sounds to me they didn't get a new rim and just put it on the back tire! So now I'm back in the shop getting a new rim for another tire I never had an issue with until they "fixed" my car. They new I didn't know anything about cars and totally used me. read more

Called ahead for an appointment to buy and mount new tires and do an oil and filter change. I specified the make and model of the car and the tires I wanted. I was quoted approximately 1-1.5 hours. When I got there they didn't have the tires priced $65 per tire had requested and confirmed on the phone were in stock so I got up sold ($116 per tire) though in fairness they did knock $80 off the price. When I returned at 1.5 hours they then informed me they were still waiting on the filters to arrive despite so it ended up being 2+ hours and more expensive than anticipated. While they are nice, the service was lacking and I can't help but feel I was upsold. read more

What a fantastic experience at Big O Tires. My tire light was on and so I stopped here to have them take a look. Every single staff person I interacted with here was friendly & upbeat. They checked the pressure of my tires, took each one off to soak and check for punctures, but found no issues. They did point out some unusual tire wear to me, but said it was something to just keep an eye on. I was in and out in just under 35 minutes and they didn't charge me for the diagnosis. One of the first times I've felt I have not been taken advantage of and was provided with professionalism and respect. As a young woman with little knowledge about cars, I could be an easy target for being over charged and convinced into services that are unnecessary. This Big O location has been awesome- breaking down each charge and explaining what is needed and why. They even went as far as bringing back into the shop and showing me the parts of my car and where damage was. Every employee was super knowledgeable and incredibly welcoming. So wowed and impressed with this location today. I was about to get on I70 when a man started honking at me to let me know I had a flat, so I immediately pulled over and found myself directly in front of this Big O Tires. I had been on my way to my best friend's house, whose dad happens to be in the auto industry, so I called her to let her know I was running late. Not wanting me to be taken advantage of she asked that I call her as soon as they tell me their recommendations so that she could advise me on what did and did not need to be done. I was already a bit on edge because I know nothing about cars and have heard horror stories about going into chain shops, but was further worried by the fact that I drive a really nice car (given to me by a family member) and was actually coming from a meeting and was dressed to the nines. We just bought a house and almost every penny is going towards that so I was nervous the way I was dressed and the car I drove made it seem like I had a target on my back that said "Up sell me!" Everyone I spoke with here was professional and wonderful, and you can imagine my shock and surprise when the gentleman I was working with came back after checking out my car and simply handed me my keys and said "you're good to go". He must have noticed my slack-jawed disbelief and insightful response of "Whaaa?" so he explained that I had a small hole in my tire, they patched it, and I could be on my way. I was fully braced for a fight but what I got was excellent service and wonderful interaction with their staff, at no charge. Because of my experience with their staff today I feel like I can 100% trust this business. I will drive out of my way to come here whenever I need something done that they can take care of. I walked out with my tire fixed and not a cent lost and with zero pressure or being told I needed something done that I didn't. They may say there's no such thing as a free lunch but today I felt like the staff at Big O cared enough to give me one, and in return I'll buy them dinner when I need it next time ;) read more

The owner Alex was extremely helpful and professional and even told me about a few deals they were running at the time to get me some extra savings which I didn't know about in advance. These guys always take care of my wife and I, they are fast and friendly and great about staying in contact and communicating. They've fixed flats for my wife more times than I can count without charge, and took care of me recently 15 minutes before closing ahead of a holiday weekend. The one time I had an issue the manager called me back personally, off the clock, to accommodate my schedule and make sure it was handled. Well, unfortunately, I am unable to rate at less than one star, so let's give this operation a smoking one star, as in, lowest possible rating. Read on, as I will try to make this as objective and accurate as possible....it's a bit lengthy, but definitely worth reading. Where to begin? Let's forget the countermen swearing at each other (Taco Bell tastes like "sh-t) while eating lunch at the counter, and the music in the shop (a walled off area) blaring so loudly the people in the lobby can clearly hear it. If I want Karaoke, I generally don't go to a tire shop, even a Llanteras, even after closing. Honk if you know what that is. Hint to BIG O: NEVER EVER NEVER put a sign in the window proudly proclaiming "Under new management/ownership!" This simply tells new or existing customers that the old management was not acceptable/ inept, etc., or some combination. Am I supposed to think, well, I got hosed on that last service, so maybe the new guys are better? This ain't Kansas Toto! Alignment shops are everywhere. I see that sign, I ain't going back in, now or ever. So, my car: a 1996 Saturn Station Wagon, rebuilt ground up, about $3000 just in parts. New engine, trans, A.C., etc,, and most importantly, ALL NEW MOOG front end and rear end. Inners, outers, lowers, rack, trailing bushings in the rear, lateral link adjusting kit in the rear, etc. Guess you can tell I love these cars. Repeat: MOOG. QUALITY. Problem solver line. Grease Zerks. Best sintered metal. Non Chinese rubber. Made in good old U.S.A. In August, BIG O aligns this Saturn. Way out as I suspect, hey, the car was in 6 million pieces. They finish, and all the little squares on the alignment printout are green. Good to go! Only one driver -- me. Only use this car for my Sunday drive to Grand Junction and back. NEVER hit any potholes, curbs, missing manhole covers, stray pets or children, etc. Now, (refer to pics if possible) my new $125 left front tire is worn out after 5000 miles. The counterman (Taco Bell enthusiast) looks at the car and says "classic case of bad struts." Uhhh, no, these are new KYB, the world's best, made in Japan, $125 each installed. They aren't bent, loose, or compromised in any way. Besides, a bad strut isn't going to wipe out just the out tire edge. A law of physics here. So, I get the "Free alignment check" done. Specs now say the Camber, Caster, and Toe- in is way out of spec, front and rear. Basically, every possible adjustment. Plus, I need a $400 kit to correct front Camber. Listen up boys, I'm a Master mechanic with 50 years experience, certified in 17 ASE areas. (Remember when it was NIASE? I do, and have the shoulder patches to prove it). Not possible guys. All these specs would not change unless the subframe was bent or somebody loosened the struts when I was sleeping, or, YOUR ALIGNMENT RACK is shot. Or else, your tech doesn't know what he is doing. A combination I suspect. The bigger question, is, "How can 'New Management' make money when corporate gave up on this location?" BIG O CORPORATE didn't bail on this spot because they were making so much cash the Loomis Armored driver threw his back out when loading up the armored truck, and they were facing some type of work place lawsuit. Answer: "NEW MANAGEMENT" MUST "up sell" when possible, up sell when probably not necessary, hire nitwits and underpay them, and take the cash and run when the temp gets too high. Then, it's time for some more NEW MANAGEMENT!! First hint future customers: check out the beat-up trailer parked at the back of the store that someone is living in (pic included if possible). Listen to customers being led down the cash removal path (reference my 50 years experience........) Attitude everywhere. Conversations no customer needs to hear. Swear words, personal stuff, etc. And not whispered either. Some poor customer charged $20 for flat repair? Yikes. Don't expect any positive BIG O response on this one. Hell, it ain't their store anymore. Take it up with the owner. Best I can hope for is that everyone, and I mean everyone, run the other way. So I'm out $200 with alignment. I will bet ABSOLUTELY that if I took this car, drove it around the block, put it back on the same rack, that all alignment specs would now be out by at least another degree. Did I see any A.S.E certifications on anyone? On the walls? Hah: refer to the new management profit plan. Yuck. Boo. This place used to be a Wolff auto service center. They bailed because it's a lousy location. "New management" please take the hint. As in bail. Also, I got a lousy alignment from BRAKES plus, basically across the street. They burned up two new Michelins on the back of my low mileage bought new S550. At least I got an alignment refund from their corporate. The tires? Live and learn chump (me). "You didn't buy those tires from us, they must be defective (Michelin Defender's at $220 per?) Not likely amigos. read more

This was my first time here. I told the guy I needed a tire rotation and an oil change on two cars. I literally watched 6 people walk in after me and leave earlier than I did. I'm not happy. Went in for an oil change, told me it would take 30-45 mins. Was there for that long just to tell me about $1500 in repairs. Couldn't get my oil cap off to change filter but STILL charged me for oil change. All this took almost 2 hours. This weekend took it to a local shop in Denver, they got cap off clean, changed filter for parts only AND couldn't confirm the problems this Big O suggested were there. I needed an oil change. I had been burned a couple of times by corporate car care chains but decided to try Big O Tires. I had heard good things. When it came time to pay, I was told that my head gaskets needed replacement and was presented with an estimate of $2400 for the head gaskets, rear brakes and bellows boots. I made an appointment to return for the brakes. When I arrived at my appointment, it was explained that if I decided to do the head gaskets, it would take several days and I could not do without my car. Minutes later, I was given a "corrected estimate" for the head gaskets - $4100. I gave the OK for the brakes and bellows boots, which I understood from the previous estimate to be between $400 and $500. I was presented with a bill for $837.18, a bill which included two services I did not request and was not asked about. I can only think that the service people saw me as an elderly female that did not know any better. And two days before Christmas. I think maybe they should stick to tires. read more

These guys were very knowledgeable, talked through multiple options (both on price and performance), and helped me pick out the best set for my car. Would definitely go back again!
