I went in for a $55 oil change and was there for nearly two hours. This same service typically takes about 20 minutes elsewhere. I was told my oil filter housing cap needed to be replaced for $85 because the previous shop had overtightened it and it would likely crack during removal. I specifically asked them to remove it while I watched. It came off smoothly and cleanly, with no cracking. I was then told it was "leaking" and had a "hairline crack." After they ordered the part they said it would be $80 to replace it. While waiting, I told them my husband felt that price was excessive and that we did not want it replaced. I was told it had already been done. Immediately afterward, they offered to reduce the price by $20. I requested the old part. Upon inspection, there was no crack -- hairline or otherwise. This experience felt like clear upselling and pressure tactics. The shifting price and sudden discount only added to my concern. I expect honesty and transparency when servicing my vehicle, and I did not receive it here. I cannot recommend this location. read more

It's official - every year during the first big temperature drop of the season when my tire pressure light comes on - I head on over for all my tires to get the pressure checked and inflated. It's a relief because it is so close by and it's free! The people are always friendly and help me right away. Last winter, I did have to see them for tire service and they were able to get my type of tire in same day and got everything all set while I chilled at Lamar's Donuts across the street. I don't remember the cost but for me for car stuff, it just costs what it costs. They got the job done and I've had no problems since! They are my neighborhood tire place! read more

Needed a new clutch. Because I was from out of town they over charged me by 1200 compared to the average rate. I had a 12k mile warranty and the clutch went out after 10k miles due to improper install. They refused any assistance because I was months out of warranty. The Midas company and their credit card is a scam beware. Once u sign up if u don't pay off the card in a year you will be charged full interest at original point of purchase. I tried contacting customer service. They refuse to work with you at all. Get ready to be slapped with $500 in one day. The tech who worked on it told me that my suspension was going out and I needed to have it replaced. The pictures they sent with this notification were very suspect so I took my car to my trusted mechanic to get a second opinion. I left my car to be repaired at Midas, and during that time they took the car out to do the tests as usual, but on the way someone crashed the car. According to them, it was the fault of a third party and not their employee, which I actually believe. However, they gave me the damaged car saying that since it was running, I could keep it like that while they sorted it out with the insurance. Now, they are dragging their feet trying to resolve the situation with the insurance, claiming that the insurance company of the person at fault does not answer the phone and since they are not the owners of the car, there is not much they can do. Which I think is completely wrong and unfair. They give me the damaged car and simply want me to fix the problem, even though this happened while they were in possession of the car. This shows that the company has no regard for the well-being of its customers; if something goes wrong with their property, the customer is the one who has to deal with the problem. I am aware that misfortunes happen, my indignation is with the lack of responsibility that Midas has, and the lack of respect for the customer by avoiding solving the problem. read more

I've brought my 2015 X5 and 2012 mini here twice. Both are out of factory warranty so dealer service is expensive and often the dealers forget I am actually paying for their conservativeness. That did not happen at this Midas. In fact quite the opposite. I keep my vehicles in top condition replacing and repairing as things happen so the cars are not junk like so many used vehicles due to benign neglect. The bmw had a stripped nut on a suspension part which precluded them from performing an alignment. They charged me nothing to diagnose this and had called around to find the part in case I wanted it fixed. Since the only genuine bmw part was needing to be shipped and the car has no abnormal tire wear or pulling, I decided to wait but will get this done soon. The swap of the tires with winter tires was done as requested and the spacers I purchased were installed properly. Balance is right on. The mini tire swap was fine too and they put the car up on the rack to align it but it was within specs. So no charge for that. Love it. We had some dealer work done on the mini after that and they always do a vehicle inspection. They told me the brakes on all four corners were close and should be done. They quoted me a ridiculous price so I brought it to Mason at Midas. As I suspected he found that the brakes weren't even close to bring due... like I said it's as if the dealers forget I have to actually pay for their mistakes in judgement. There was no charge by Midas. They want me as a customer. Anyway, MY experience with Midas and Mason specifically has been great. I feel I have found a great shop to take care of the relatively minor maintenance items to keep our cars in great working order such as oil, tires, brakes, suspension. I'll likely continue taking the cars here for these types of services and likely taking them to the dealer or specialty shop for things that are beyond that. read more

Absolutely unprofessional general manager. After explaining to them my concerns with their diagnosis, he proceeded to ask me to step outside to handle the problem. Prior to that I told him he was childish because he could not separate different topics and except constructive criticism. His name is Andrew. He wanted to fight with a customer outside but all of his employees held him back. They told me a no heat problem diagnosis on my 2012 Honda will be fixed by a radiator replacement. I replace the radiator and the problem was not fixed. They continue to diagnose the vehicle and diagnose the problem with the heater box but are unable to perform the repair. They have no idea what they are doing at that store. If you need your oil changed or some tires rotated or something simple, they could possibly help. Otherwise, I would not recommend the shop for anything. Be careful, the general manager might want to ask you to step outside and fight. read more

I was treated very poorly. I was sold preventative maintenance I didn't need while being told that my car was mechanically sound. I asked several times it everything on my car was working before I spent 3300.00 to replace things that were not broken, but could possibly break soon. Within 20 miles my service engine light came on. I was told that cars just break sometimes.In addition to this, one of the service techs dogs was sent in to harass and intimidate me. When I asked for the district managers contact information, I was told there wasn't a district manager. I called corporate and exchanged emails with the district manager who indeed does exist. This man offered no help. When I asked for his supervisors contact information he replied that he was the top supervisor. This is how this place does business. Don't go here. read more

Update: I brought my bf with me to pick up the car and let him do the talking and somehow they were able to bring the price back down to 435. I'm leaving the original post as is. The communication should have and could have been 1 million times better than it was. I got 0 explanation from anyone when it was me dealing with them. Take your car to the dealership and save money! Original review: My car battery died, so I had to get a new one. I have a synchrony card, that allowed me to use it at this location. That's why I came here. At first I was told $275 for the battery change and that included labor. Two different people told me that price and about a month later I called back and asked again and was quoted $481. I already thought that was a little bit steep for a BATTERY but I needed it so I was like whatever (this price is more normal for luxury vehicles, I get that) Then I got a call from them telling me that my car is ready to be picked up but the amount that's due is $606 and some change. First of all, how is it that everybody at the store lacks the competency to be able to get it right the first time... That should've been my first red flag. The fact that you didn't call me to let me know about the price increase? Made me feel a type of way. I shouldn't have trusted the 3.5 star rating. The battery online is only $250, BMW charges $324. And then I'm being told I got $200 off in discounts? So you guys were about to charge me $800 for a battery?! That you get on wholesale?? if it's wholesale isn't it supposed to be cheaper?? do not come here. read more

Traveling back home from Denver to Indiana, Car steering was wobbly so we tried to see if we could get it figured out before we left earlier in the day. Every tire place had no availability or only availability in the afternoon, so I called this Midas location. They said they might be able to fit us in between appointments to get our tire and wheel checked out. Once there, Carl got our car into the shop and figured out the problem within 30 minutes. It was a loose tire rod that hadn't been tightened all the way after our last maintenance. Not only did Carl and Midas help us out by preventing a possible accident, they also tightened the bolt free of charge and we didn't have to pay a dime. Carl's knowledge and guidance was reassuring and it made the entire process feel like they had our back and wanted us to get home safely on our road trip. I have had good experiences with Midas in the past, but this just reassured my businesses in the future. S/O to Carl for amazing customer service. Promote that man! read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Midas location! I had an unexpected flat tire at 6:15am and miraculously made it here. Rick came in around 6:45am and ordered my tires and and scheduled a repair as soon as possible! Not only are their prices competitive and fair, but their customer service is top notch! If I could give -5 stars I would. So I got my oil changed here late summer around mid-August (also not sure that it's relevant but they never gave me a sticker to mark when to change it but whatever) and my car about 5 weeks after, began to run super slowly, oil and check engine lights turned on, began sputtering and the engine was making an awful sound. I took it back to get it looked as and after doing so, the person I spoke to said that my engine was basically totaled due to leaks, rod issues, and a clogged cat. converter situation. I was quoted around $7000+ for a new engine or suggested to get rid of my car completely as it was totaled... I was devastated and pissed so I took my car in to get a second opinion. The nice people at Stoney Hill Auto simply changed my oil and my car has been running fine ever since after a long (and warrented) lecture on changing my oil regularly WHICH I HAD. A great relief but I can't stand the condescending nature of how they just wrote off my car as ruined after they had been the ones to do work on it initially. This place is terrible for 1 of two possible reasons, one, for either changing my oil and drastically misquoting/misdiagnosing my car after a simple request to check it out, or two, for never changing my oil in the first place even after I paid for the service and then misdiagnosing and overpricing the repairs to my car. Total bullsh*t if you ask me. Never coming again. read more

I requested an appointment online and within 10 minutes was called to schedule a time. They were booked up so I had to schedule for a few days ahead which was fine. I came today and dropped my car off, but didn't hear back for a few hours. I came back near closing and my car had not been serviced because they had a hectic day. However, not only did they stay late to get my car done, they changed my oil for free, and made sure to be as quick as possible. I also saw Steve order another customer an Uber since his car wouldn't be done that day. Excellent customer service from Steve, and I'll definitely be back next time I need an oil change. read more

After visiting a grease monkey, and feeling like there was no way they could have checked all of the things they said they checked being as they only had my car for under five minutes, I called Midas and asked if they would just check because I was very nervous about the work that had been done. (I'm leaving on a long car trip in a few days.) They told me to come on over. Not only did they fix the issues from the other location, (oil spilled all over, fluids not topped off, loose filter, tires low, etc), but they did it quickly and without charge!!! I was so nervous and upset after my first experience today, that after this positive experience, I honestly almost cried with gratitude. Thank you Midas!! I took my 1996 Toyota Tacoma to my local Midas store because I wanted to do business locally and I assumed I would get a good job from a nationally known establishment. I assumed the installation was done well until I drove my truck away and discovered that the truck was making a really odd noise and was really loud. I had picked my truck up late in the day so I didn't have time to take it back that day. It's my second vehicle so two days later I took it back in the afternoon to tell Midas that something was wrong and that I really didn't have time that day to get it fixed. Customer service rep, took the problem to the floor manager who had someone go pick my truck up and put it on a lift. The neighbor of mine, and I had discovered that the main body of the muffler had been installed tightly flush to the bottom of my pick up cab. Thus every bounce and movement of the truck resonated into the cab. Technician looked underneath my truck and took a hydraulic prybar tool and began hammering away at the undercarriage of my truck. no one asked me in any way shape or form how to resolve the problem and I really didn't realize what he was doing. They gave me back my keys having parked the truck as far away from the office as they could without telling me where it was and so I had to crawl underneath my truck to see what they had done and discovered that basically they had pride my cab away from the muffler instead of Reinstalling it or installing it correctly the first time. I expressed my dismay with the store supervisor Lauren and she was defensive about the entire installation the fix of the problem and the lack of communication on my $633 muffler install. When I originally called this place, they said it should be about 450 bucks. so now I have an altered body and a frustrating experience with Midas. They probably don't do this with everybody, but my experience was terrible. I have filed a complaint review with Midas. read more

If you care about your car and want good work done then DO NOT bring your car here. I have never written a yelp review in my life but am so frustrated and exhausted from the shit work they did that has ultimately caused more and more issues with my 4 runner. My fiancé and I ended up stranded on the highway in Wyoming after Midas told us our car was safe to drive when it was not. We had been charged for work that ultimately never got done, I am talking a couple grand $$$. We ended up having to talk to corporate and build a case by getting Midas on the phone with the Toyota who told them all the things they did wrong and they still wouldn't reimburse us in total for the original shotty work they did, only a portion. Any good business would recognize the immense amount of time and effort it took to get our car fixed by Toyota to replace all the work Midas charged us for initially plus some. Now, a couple months later we're finding out more issues such as cheap parts that were used and a leaking rack that they replaced and they won't pay for us to have it fixed right, only replaced by them which is who caused the issue to begin with. Now we are ultimately are going to need to try and trade in our car to get something new because our car is shot during a time when car inventory is at an all time low. Midas put us in a money hole, ruined our car and know it, and we will never be going there again. Midas is a large corporate company and really doesn't care about the small issue here and there. Any small town respectable shop or dealership service center would have made things right. Please, if you care about your car and your money, don't go here. Even for an oil change, tire rotation etc. Just go somewhere else and save yourself the frustration. Just look at all the negative reviews on here. I hate trashing companies and the hard work of mechanics but when they completely screw you over, they bring it upon themselves. I am happy to show anyone all the proof that all this happened and all the communication that took place. Just want the next person to never experience what we did. read more
