If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! I had an appointment for an oil change and drove 40 mins in order to get this done. Reason being, I was gifted a Groupon. I arrived to the location 15 minutes early, walked in in and told them I had an appointment. I was informed that the mechanic who does oil changes left for the day in an emergency. This is after he comes From the office where he was sitting back relaxing. I informed the gentlemen that I was never notified that my appointment was no longer valid. He said, i don't know what to tell you. Then offered to do my oil change but said I would be the last customer they would take and would be there until close. Out of all the mechanics they had working, they needed this one specific guy for oil changes. I find that absolutely ridiculous! I will not be coming here ever again. Made an appointment for 11am this morning and at 1:05pm I'm still sitting here waiting for them to be done with a simple oil change and rotation. Whats the point of making an appointment if its going to take this long to get my truck back. Had I have known, I would have coordinated a ride or gotten it done somewhere else. The lady behind me getting brakes was done before me and the guy behind me getting new tires on his truck, both without an appointment left before me. How does that make any sense? Unfortunately, this store has gone from a 4 Star (tire replacement) to a 1 star for a botched alignment and the subsequent customer service. After a couple of months with new tires on a truck, I brought it in for the recommended alignment. Keep in mind, it drove well, the ride was smooth and there was nothing wrong after the new tires were installed. I only purchased the alignment because it was recommended and I wanted to protect the $1000.00 investment in tires. The actual alignment was completed in a couple of hours. When I picked the vehicle up and drove it home I heard a rubbing from the driver's side front tire. Upon my inspection, the tire was rubbing on the wheel well. This was not the case before I took it in for the alignment. I called in and they took ownership of it and said they'd fix it. When I took it back in they suggested cutting the wheel well, I looked at that and before I left, I told the assistant manager (Jeff I think), cutting the plastic will not work. The wheels need repositioned. I left the vehicle again and got the call it was ready about 1 1/2 hour later. I went in to get it and the store manager handed me the keys. I went out to look and sure enough they butchered both sides of the wheel wells. There were large squares cut and what was once a solid, unmovable piece of plastic around the front wheels was now a flimsy cut up piece of carnage. I told the Store Manager Ronnie, this was not acceptable. After some back and forth he said he'd order new wheel wells and replace them. I wish the story ended there, but... to keep a long story short we had to call consumer affairs and report them because later they gave us attitude and told us it was our fault, saying we authorized the short cut. This store has very poor customer service from the front desk to Management. Just know you have options beyond the store manager when needed. We'll see how Corporate handles the rest of our complaint, but so far I know they contacted the store and are investigating. read more

Bought all my vehicle tires and the warranty / flat repair from Cameron Park Big O. My wife's car had a tire with a leak. She took it to Big O Cameron Park where I bought them. It was 4PM, they close at 6PM. Big O said they didn't have time to check. She said she didn't mind waiting, as she had time and things with her to pass the time. She didn't say they were argumentative, but it seemed pretty close based on her account of events. She told them she could leave it and pick it up the next day. They finally agreed to just check the tire. Went from too busy to, we'll check it now. Weird. Anyway, they aired up the tire and told her everything seemed fine about a half hour later. Shortly thereafter the low pressure indicator came on again. Same tire. I took the car back the next day. Explained what happened, must have been the same guy because he said he remembered. I told them they needed to check again. And hung out where I could see them complete the work this time. Low and behold they found a nail this time. Pretty shady way to do business in my opinion. But hey, that's just me. Tire was actually repaired this time and no issues with that tire. At least when they do the work it's ok, but now have to wonder do they really do it when you aren't watching. It was clear they didn't the day before. Which brings me to another issue with the same Big O. I took in another vehicle about a year later (most recent issue which prompted this review). Different vehicle, another nail. This time they told me they didn't have time to deal with it when I arrived the first time. I said I'd come back the next day. They said that would be great. I show up the next morning and they seemed irritated to see me. Regardless, I told them what was up (again, bought the tires there and the warranty). One of the guys came out looked at the tire for about 10 seconds and then said I needed to buy a new tire. Now I know I'm not the expert, but the nail was in the tread, not the side wall and they didn't even bother to look any further. I have had shops in the past warn me it may be an issue that requires replacement vs repair before they looked at it, but then they took the wheel, pulled the tire and told me it actually could be repaired. This guy didn't even bother. He just went straight to the new tire solution. I said I'd pass, he walked away with a parting shot of "suit yourself." After using Big O for tires for the past 10 or more years, and putting their tires on at least 5 vehicles, I can guarantee it will never happen again. read more

Said they couldn't help us until tomorrow morning!!! My husband then asked if he knew of any other places!!! He looked at my husband so rudely and said NOOO !! My grandma took me here to help me get new tires. They charged her $800 for tires that were actually $400, charged her for nitrogen which we never asked for and highly doubt they actually put it in the tires, charged her for a tire pressure sensor which I specifically said I didn't want (plus they clearly didn't because my tire light is still on) and to top it off the "premium tires" they charged her for I got a flat on the freeway 6 days after getting the tires when I only drove the car twice since then and the flat was caused by them incorrectly putting the tire on and it not having enough air which is hilarious because he specifically told us he put air in all the tires. Now I don't know if any of the other tires they put on are even safe to drive with. This place is a joke and a rip off and the scum who work here love to rip off 80 year old ladies because they are sorry sacs of shit. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE CONS WHO GET OFF RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. Honestly disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves. I hope everyone sees this comment and saves themselves the money and headache. Went to Big O to use a coupon for oil change and was told it would be about an hour and a half before my car was done. After almost an hour they came to tell me they were running behind and they hadn't even moved my car. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location but it is the last. Bought tires for both of my cars here. Tried to overcharge me on phone quote: told him the website price and he honered it. After I got home I looked at the tires and noticed that the tires and wheels were smeared with some grey stuff. Couldn't remove all of it. Then I noticed that the powder coat paint on my very expensive custom wheels was chipped off around the lug nut sockets and where they pryed off the center hubcap right down to the metal. I took the car back to the the store and showed the manager. He claimed they didn't do it and refused to do anything - even apologize. Another time I had them do an alignment that I was pressured into. Again they tried to overcharge. The car steered so badly I had to have it redone at another shop. The Cameron Park shop is so bad. I have also used the El Dorado Hills location. They were great. Very helpful, knoweledgable and friendly. I am so angry but there is nothing I can do. read more

My car had a problem with its cooling system and after I let them fix it the ac didn't work and they messed up to where my engine will rev with the ac on and then refused to fix the problem they created. I will not take any of my cars here again. They even told me I had a Waren tee which doesn't mean shit to them and I can't believe they would do this to a valued costumer that goes there all the time. So please be where if u take your vehicle there and I do not recommend them doing anything but tires. They didn't even put my clips back in to hold the cover and parts that are clipped as well so please check your car after so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

These clowns will try and screw you any way they can. They told me that I needed new rear rotors and upon inspection the ones I had on were perfectly fine. Also they stripped 2 of my wheel studs that I ended up replacing myself. They will overcharge you for parts and try recommending you things that you don't even need in order to make a few extra bucks. Before my girlfriend knew me they told her to buy 5 locking lugs for each wheel instead of one per wheel. They take advantage of people who aren't familiar with cars. Do not recommend. read more

They have decent prices, however you get less than you pay for & can be easily ripped off if you don't know much about cars. Scheduled service online and it sent me to the Cameron Park location. When we arrived Dallas was watching tv in their waiting room and said reservations don't link with their system. After a few back and forth questions he said they will try to get us in that day. We waited for about an hour and he then said the tire needs to be replaced not fixed. I reminded them that I purchased the full tire protection plan and showed my Big-O invoice. Dallas then stated we are a franchise and would not honor the replacement because we purchased it at the El Dorado Hills location which is less than 20 miles from their shop. I questioned this as it made no sense, Big-O is Big-O. Dallas didn't care and said they are not going to honor the tire warranty. Fast forward to today. I called El Dorado Hills Big-O and they were shocked to hear how we were treated and there is no such thing as a 20 mile rule for service. in fact they help Cameron Park customers all the time. He quickly confirmed they had my tire and I am on my way to get it fixed under warranty. Bottom line if you like Big-O pick your store carefully. El Dorado Hills is only 4 miles from Cameron Park but a world of difference when it comes to service. read more

As I was heading to Tahoe recently a low tire alert popped up on my dash about two miles before Cameron Park. While I would rather have not had a tire problem to begin with, the timing couldn't have been better. I exited the freeway and headed to Big O in Cameron Park. They were able to examine my tires, rotate them, and remove a razor blade causing the leak in less than an hour. My dog and I escaped the heat in their waiting area. I was very pleased with the service and continued on my way to Tahoe with barely a delay. And because I bought my tires from a Big O in the Bay Area, there was no cost. read more

An update to this experience. After Ron (this is the name at the top of my quote) in Cameron Park tried to convince me that I needed two new tires on my Kia for over $500, I went ahead and drove all the way to Southern California to visit family. My tires were not bald and I was not convinced they needed to be replaced, despite his insistence. It has been 3 weeks since I was given that "recommendation" and finally I had time to take my car into another Big O Tires in Placerville to get the alignment fixed. They took care of it and tested my tread... I was told I still have at least 2 months left on my front tires and DO NOT need to replace them yet. Keep in mind, this is after I have put another couple thousand miles on my "bald" tires already. People need to know that Big O Tires in Cameron Park is trying to sell people things they don't need, and additionally, treat you condescendingly if you are a woman. I'll take my business and new tire purchase elsewhere, when they actually need to be replaced. read more

I received Horrible customer service in May @ this Cameron Park location from Robert! My car was @ Kniesel's Collision getting repaired. Due to the accident, my car needed all new wheels & tires. Kniesel's uses this close by Big-O tires location regularly. I wanted to buy different wheels & tires other than replace with stock items. So, Kniesel's directed me to Big-O to select what I wanted. I arrived @ Big-O and explained my reason for being there. Instead of helping me select wheels & tires, Robert calls over to Kniesel's to verify why I am @ Big-O.. Robert returns to counter and rudely tells me "Kniesel's has no idea why you are here nor do we". He then tells me "Kniesel's is our customer, NOT you." I was shocked by his statements, so I asked him to repeat in case I misunderstood what I heard.. Nope, I didn't misunderstand!! I couldn't believe he/they were refusing me as a customer!! Very stupid on his part as $3-4K worth of sales walked out their door. I immediately called Kniesel's to tell my service manager what just happened. He couldn't believe how horrible I was treated. I immediately drove to Les Schwab & received above & beyond amazing customer service!! I was glad to give my $3,500K worth of business to a well deserving Les Schwab. Additionally, I called Kniesel's corporate office to explain what happened & to stop using Big-O as a sub-vendor. I'd give Big-O negative stars if there was this option!! read more

I have been dealing with the Big O in Cameron Park for 10 years, and over 90% of the time they recommend I buy new tires, this latest is to replace two front tires that they put on with 5700 miles, they always have blame the vehicle as a reason to not warranty. Went in for an alignment on a Monday morning. They got me in and out fast and the truck is driving straight again. Nice!

After several years and thousands of dollars spent at this and other Big O tires I have to rate them as low as possible. My wife had to replace a nearly new front tire (flat - not their fault) and less than a month later our rear tire blew out on the freeway (so severely worn) - never mentioned when up on lift the issue. Had the blow out replaced by Tesla mobile unit and other rear tire was so worn I didn't trust making it to Big O in Cameron park where I'd ordered the other replacement but it hadn't arrived yet so had Tesla replace both. Big O said I had to come in person to get a refund and I had to pay a restocking fee for a tire that wasn't there - $94.27 restocking fee and I brought the "good" tire in to show how bad it was and they also charged a disposal fee of $7.50. Should have sold me two tires a month ago since they were clearly unsafe, instead fleeced me for over $100 to put our lives in danger - how they treat what was a loyal customer that will NEVER be back! read more
