Checked the air in my tires this morning and found one tire at 16 psi. Put air in it and found a screw in my tread. This happened day after Christmas, day before my planned vacation drive. I called Pep Boys near me they were booked up, no one else was open. I found Big O in Chino was open so I called. Fred said he was closing early so I'd better hurry. I got there in 17 minutes, he told me it might be a few hours. Told him I understood that. My car was done in less than two hours. Despite how busy this shop was, I found Fred to be extremely helpful and very courteous. I hope I never have another tire issue on a holiday weekend; but if I do, I know where I'll be taking my car. I have been going to this shop for few years and the most part the service was fine. Recently, I had a terrible time dealing with a warranty on tires I purchased from them. The manager was wrong about the number of miles the warranty was for and he stated a 10,000 mile lower warranty than what was stated on the invoice. When he saw that the tires lasted 1/2 of the number of miles they were warranted for, he made several excuses so not to honor a written warranty. It was upsetting to be treated in this manner and not to get the service I felt I am entitled to according to what I consider is a written contract. This lack of courtesy and customer service and not honoring a written contract compel not to do business with this shop again. The after the purchase service and courtesy are the most important in any transaction and is the real value that businesses offer. For these reasons I will not do business with this shop and recommend that others be very careful if they choose to transact with this shop. read more

Had a coupon for a $39.99 oil change. I have a Jeep and requested a 5-tire rotation, and was told it would be done. In fact, when I bought the tires there, the person that sold them said the 5-tire rotation would be done there at no charge. They took over 90-minutes to complete the oil change and tire rotation even with an appointment. After leaving I noticed they did. It do the 5-tire rotation, only the usual four tire rotation. On top of that, I realized they charged an additional $33 for labor. I called back to let them know they didn't do the five tire rotation and they tried to blame me for not requesting it. I did request it. Multiple times actually and even right before signing the initial paperwork I asked for verification of it again and was told yes. Never going back to this place again read more

SCAM. I Went in for an oil change, I had brought my own oil and filter but they told me they don't take outside products. It was a new policy. so I said okay whatever I'll use their stuff for the one time. I dropped the car off and about a hour later they called me and said they ran into an issue. The drain plug was stripped and to change the oil they had to change the whole pan out. At first I said okay due to needing the oil change but after some quick research on symptoms of a stripped drain plug vs Pan, I knew something wasn't adding up I called back and told them to hold off and ima pick it up. Didn't know if it was the pan or the bolt itself but sounded more like the bolt. Got the car, took it to a friend that had some free time a couple days later and saw that the bolt was stripped but not to the point it needed a whole new pan, it just needed a new bolt. He was able to get the bolt off on his own in his garage and we were able to change the oil. Big O wanted to charge me 640 bucks for the service and parts. If you can't figure out how to get a bolt off with the tools you have and someone else was able to get it off in their garage? you're either incompetent at your job or just looking to scam people. I won't be going back for any service here. And would recommend others don't go here as well due to the unintelligent technicians or shady ness of the shop in whole. read more

We agreed to the service and paid over $700, however the car leak continued. We took the car back and was reinspected and was told that The leak is coming from a different area. Lets get the facts of the matter straight for the record as I have each and every single text message I have sent to Victor and will produce them as evidence of a factual basis when I take you people to court. So lets get things straight. 1. My rims are not in bad condition true they were filthy dirty and I was missing a plastic center F cap from one of them as they are forgiatos but this was known upon my arrival. 2. Even your own tire tech was excited to see the forgiatos when my wife and I brought them to your store he remarked "those are very nice" 3. Up until I started having issues with your store I never had contact with your district manager Victor. He and I only came into contact with each other after your store had zero integrity to resolve issues on its own. 4. I NEVER signed for the tire protection plan warranty I even asked Victor to produce my signature on that document which he failed to do so. 5. Per your own documents I'm entitled to a full and complete refund of the tire protection if it has NEVER been used. This is in the terms and conditions on the back of your own documents I did not invent this out of thin air. 6. You people are in breach of your own LEGALLY binding agreements for declining to honor my refund request. I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you but this document does not state "EXCLUDING DEALS OR SPECIAL PROMOTIONS" Perhaps you should have the document edited to include specific exclusions in the future so this does NOT happen again with anyone else and your store can save embarrassment! 7. When you take a car to get aligned anywhere for example "Just tires locations, or Toyota or any other service facility with integrity who actually knows how to run their business" They provide before and after spec sheets showing the before and after for the caster & camber and heel and toe settings in none of the paperwork I left your store with was such a document provided to me so yes you people have committed FRAUD! Charging me for services you never rendered! Obtaining money by false pretenses is a FELONY FYI. 8. I never told Victor to STOP calling me that is a flat out lie. I've been a customer of this location for over 10 years, Fred, Doug and Victor have always taken care of me and my wife. I'm writing today because we had an experience last week that needed mentioning. My wife travels the 71 north from our home at 4;45 am to commute to Pasadena for work. It's still very dark at this time. Last week she ran over something in the road way that flattened the tire immediately. I received a frantic call for help, and so did AAA. We came to get two new tires. They had a hard time getting the tires off because our tire key broke. They found a new one and took care of it with no issues. After we left we noticed rattling and then we couldn't drive the car. We had it towed back to Big o tires and found out our other mechanic didn't put a bolt back on the caliper after doing work. I was having a challenging day with my car and the new rims I was putting on. The place that I purchase the rims from sent me to Big O Tire to have them put on and I've never been there before. They won a new customer!!!! They went above and beyond to help! The rims were rubbing against my caliber covers and instead of saying like most companies that they can't do anything because they can't be liable...... they took my caliber covers off and trimmed them down for me. The manager Victor even went on line and showed me where I could order the correct spacers for my Camry. Then the next day when I got the spacers they installed them for me. I'm love my Camry and I was freaking out because I didn't want to take the caliper covers off because they go with my car so well; I didn't want to change the rims because I just got them and I'm contemplating how much all this is going to cost me to correct it. Took our car in for an alignment. We had an appointment at 8 am. 2 1/2 hrs later car was finished. Unfortunately tech did not align within margin. We called him out on it. He said to bring it back and it will be adjusted. Brought it back in and tech said even though the tires were out of the specs, it wouldn't impact wear on the tires. Really? He said we could use our one time free adjustment. Why would we have to do that when we paid to have the tires adjusted in the first place??? I recently bought a lemon of a car that had no check engine light but had a bad scraping noise. I saw the car got its oil changes here so I thought I would give them a call and see what was wrong with the car. The guy whom I believe was Josh or Jeff was very helpful. He couldn't locate the record but asked me different information unti he found it. He told me exactly what the problem was. Small gestures like this really matter.
