I popped in for an in person quote after selecting a set of tires I thought was appropriate for my car. I'm glad I did, because the online price was around $800. The guy behind the keyboard looked at my car, then came up with a price of $1340. He explained that since my particular vehicle had offset sizes front to back, he could only put me in the quoted set of Michelin tires. I mentioned that I saw a good quality set on their website for about half as much, and he said - and I'm serious here - that I HAD to replace all four at the same time, and the ONLY set they had were Michelin's, and the 'other' brand didn't even make a rear tire that would fit. I inquired down the road at a competitor that afternoon. They had to order the set I saw, but had it available, better price, and guess what - there is a rear tire in existence. Icing on the cake is that mid-inquiry, the dude jumps on the phone to tell some poor lady that her one flat tire was not repairable, so she'd need to replace it with a new one. Also, she'd have to replace the other three so that they matched. I'm skeptical. read more

It's unfortunate that I am having to pick one star. This place deserves no stars. I took my car there to have a tire fixed a week ago, later that day I had to go back because my tire pressure sensor was on again. When I went back and turned out the day plugged the wrong tire blamed me when I said it was the front driver side tire told me I should have said the drivers side left tire. Isn't there only one driver side front tire lol. So they plugged the correct tire and three days later the low tire pressure signal came on again. My son took it back and was told that the tire needed to be replaced which was fine but then the gentleman proceeded to tell my son that I would need a minimum of three tires replaced and it would be $838.16 needless to say he left, and went someplace else and just replaced the 1 tire. read more

OWNERS BEWARE!! Had a flat tire and went here after my girlfriend told me they fixed her tire for free (they told her it's because of her looks). First, they tell me the tire is unfixable and I need a new set. My tires were down pretty far so I believed them (my mistake). They then asked me if I wanted to do an alignment. After waiting an hour, the MANAGER HIMSELF told me they can't do the alignment because the lower control arm is bent and needs to be replaced. The manager told me that he takes his customers seriously and wants them to be safe (you dirty liar!). They quoted me an additional 900 dollars and at this point I knew they rip people off. I went to my dealership where they told me that absolutely nothing is bent and they could do the alignment without an issue. Owners, please spend the extra 50 dollars at your dealership and stay away from scammers like these! read more

I told the guy that was working that my tire needed to be patched up real quickly because I got a flat, and he immediately told me that I need brand new tires. I said I couldn't afford it and that I just needed someone to look at it. He immediately shot me down and said "well take your money somewhere else." And walked away. Idk who hurt this man, but it was so disrespectful and the way that young woman are treated at these places are disgusting. read more

Went there on a Friday afternoon, having low expectations that they could take me right away for an oil change and alignment, but they did, were super nice and quick and looks like they did a good job aligning the car because it no longer pulls as before when NTB in Austin had aligned it 1500 miles ago. Since it's the same chain, my alignment was free as part of my NTB alignment package. read more

Super unfortunate service. My 85 y/o mom just had her car towed there to replace the battery, an issue that is quick to identify and fairly straightforward to address. They tried to charge her $360.00 to replace it. They said it was roughly $290.00 for the battery and $60.00 for the install. I was livid and complained to the manager who subsequently took $50.00 off the total. I called around to a nearby Big O franchise and was given an over the phone estimate of $200-$225. Seems like they definitely took advantage of the situation, mind you this is a 2005 Ford Ranger. I will say that she did agree to the work, I don't think she was fully aware of typical battery replacement costs. In the end it was my mom's fault. I do get that, but that felt wrong. read more

They tried to sell me 4 tires (for a sedan) at $700. Which is crazy. "That's all I can do, well let me see, I could do 600, absolute lowest. There's nothing cheaper" still crazy....then I called around and I was quoted 400 (including everything) which is what I typically pay. I told big O and they said they could match it. Turns out they could go lower... whoever is paying 700 for their most basic tire is getting scammed!! It went from 700 to 420 for exact same tires. I end up paying 520 for their benefit plan, hopefully worth it... (I've gone to several other big O tires in Colorado and I've never had this happen before... they've always quoted me around 400 for 4 basic but safe tires, so I'm not sure if this location truly is scamming people or what. I thought I could trust big O... I trust myself, because I got the price lowered but legit I'm concerned that people are getting scammed out of their money at this location.... read more

With all the construction around town, it was inevitable to get a bolt stuck in my tire. My tire was leaking rapidly. I added air at home and drove to the shop. I made it in time to not have to pull over and change the tire. This shop is always busy. But, I managed to be in and out in an hour. Since I had warranty on the tires from them, there was no cost. Service is good. It's the same crew there. There's a waiting lounge that's roomy. Everyone was masked up. I only wished the driver interior area would get wiped down with a disinfectant after the job was completed and before it was released back to the clients. read more

WOW. I try not to write negative reviews but I am appalled with every aspect of this experience. The quote I was given over the phone was incorrect by over an hour. When I came back, after not being called, as I told I would be, Tyler was pulling my vehicle out without anything done. When I asked him why it couldn't be fixed he wouldn't answer, continued walking away & wouldn't give me my key after saying he needed to "cover his bases." I left feeling so frustrated. I have to start this review by saying that I've gone to Big O when needed and have had wonderful service. Today, no. I hesitated to write this but need to, as I sit at Discount Tires 3.5 miles down the street. Went into Big O on Colfax with a slow leak. I gave them all of the info needed and the passive aggressive answers - not appreciated. Thus I'm here 3.5 miles down Colfax getting my tire put on. Big O? Do better....... Discount Tires? I went to Big O last week for routine oil change. They informed me that I needed front brake work which I could not afford. Covid has been hard. I took my Kia to mechanic today. He said my brakes have a minimum of another year worth of wear. I'm very disappointed. Big O has been my go to shop for years because of proximity to my home. I've had various work done over the years. I'm now questioning everything that they've done. They have lost a customer which is to bad because the mechanic said I need new tires before winter. read more

I have 15,000 miles on my new car, about a year and a half old. I had a nail in my tire and regrettably came to Big O. They said my tires were worn down and they all needed to be replaced for $600. I didn't believe that my tires would all need replacing after 1.5 years. Went down the road to Peerless Tires. Replaced the nail hole from the inside out and sent me on my way! They also let me know they have all season tires for $58 each (when I do need them in about 4 years) Huge scam going on at Big O. read more

The man at the front desk was super courteous, and when he wasn't helping customers at the front desk he was offering waiting customers coffee or water and cleaning up (the already clean) space. Update on my review, after noticing rattling, grinding, and other odd things with my front brake replacement, I took it into an independent store. They discovered that my front right brake pads were near falling off due to shoddy workmanship. 2 key pieces were missing from the brake assembly. The fact that I had been driving on this shoddy workmanship for 3 weeks is pathetic. Now I have to go out of my way, back to this store to get my brakes fixed. I was also contacted by Big O support and was blatantly lied to. read more

I am so glad I found this place. I've lived in quite a few states, and multiple place in Colorado, and this is the first place where I've felt like family rather than just another customer. I had a tire pressure light that would not turn off for over a year, I went to a different well-known auto shop in Colorado and was charged over $200 to "run diagnostics" just to be told they weren't able to turn the light off and I would need to take it to the manufacturer. I went to Big O Tires for an oil change, they were quick and very friendly. I hopped back in my car and realized the tire pressure light was turned off... they fixed it without me even asking. I went back recently for an oil change, turns out I needed new rear brakes/rotors and a new battery. From prior experience with other shops, I felt wary about trusting whether I needed all of this. But, the owner, Rob, and his son were extremely helpful and explained to me why everything was necessary considering the traveling that I am about to do. Rob even gave me his personal contact to text/call at any time and offered a free evaluation of my vehicle before heading off on my road trip. I highly recommend this auto-shop. I just had a bad experience with Anthony at Big O tires on east colfax. I purchased 4 new tires there about 4 months ago with the warranty. 1st off he said "he can't fix the tire with the screw in it" . It's a tire store.......of course they can fix it! 2nd, he basically accused me of lieing telling me that I did not buy my tires there. Thank God I save all my records to show him that I did in fact purchase them there. 3rd, in addition to the paid warranty, I had to pay another $30 service fee. No one enjoys getting a flat tire and that was not what i wanted to do today then to have been met with such opposition is deplorable. Boo Big O! read more

But after reaching out to Big O Tires at 5405 Coal Fax Ave I got immediate response. I spoke to Issac multiple times and he really guided me for my best options. I am a very happy repeat customer. I first came to them a few years ago for tire repair. Their work was consistently top-notch, done quickly, and affordably. They are also friendly and helpful. I saw that they had other services that I usually go to the dealer for and began working with them instead and could not be happier. I got the same great service, high quality work, done quickly and affordably. I like that they are close to my house (the dealer is 30 minutes away, there's no place to wait), have a nice lounge area where you can wait and work (socially distanced of course). I would have selected NO stars, had that been an option. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twice I've been to this "service" shop, late in 2020 and yesterday 8/6/2021, and both times one of my lug caps have been taken off the car. The picture attached, of the White wall, there's a cut in the white, that tire was located (prior to 8/6/21 at the 'Driver' side rear. It had no lug cap until I replaced it this past July!! NOW it's on the 'Passenger' side front, and low and behold! The replaced 'lug cap' is again GONE. Oh and the tech, and I quote, "I put it on, it was there, you'll have to buy another"! Perhaps those of a 'lighter hue' have not been subjected to this, or else it's a case of..."object collection syndrome". New ones cost $75, and I found this one on ebay, after months of searching! Classic place that takes advantage of customers that don't have car knowledge. My girlfriend went there and got completely taken advantage of. If you choose to go here, be as skeptical of there prices as possible. Shop around. Update: January, 2018 Girlfriend has Big O Tires and was having an issue with them. She decided to return to this Crooked place to take advantage of the warranty. "The tires are under warranty but the valve on the tire is what is having the issue and that is not under warranty, sorry we can't help you" This place is the worst. AVOID THIS DEN OF THIEVES I went in with a nail in my tire. The manager spent about 2 seconds looking at my tire and said they could not repair it. I had to buy a new tire...and because my tires had wear on them, I would probably need a whole new set. It is important to note that I drive a Jeep with after market tires. So this simple puncture would end up costing me more than $1,000 to get repaired if I chose to follow their advice. My common sense kicked in and I said no thanks. Drove about 5 blocks to the next tire shop who repaired the puncture with no concerns and without trying to unnecessarily up sell me. If you want to waste your hard earned money, this is a great place to do that. If you want an honest deal done right, find another tire store. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS! read more

My 18-year-old son brought his truck in when his engine light went on. They charged him $49 for a gas cap and $100 to determine this is what he needed. A week later the light came back on and this time they charged him another $150 and recommended he replace the catalytic converter, with no offer to refund the inaccurate diagnostic from a week ago.
