I've seen the some staff come and go over the past 5 years but I've never had a terrible experience here. For a few years I had them swap my summer and snow tires (twice a year) each year. They were quick and did a proficient job. They were able to fix some of the issues that plagued my girlfriend's truck after walmart's tire center botched some work. These days I bring tires that need to be patched or mounted over to them and I do the swaps myself in my garage to save the $50. The shop manager has always been professional and courteous with getting work done; both planned and unplanned. I have no issues recommending them to people who don't want to muck with their tires. read more

I had my car repaired at this location. I needed them to send the invoice to my insurance company so I could get reimbursed. When I talked with Ken requesting this be done it became a huge issue. He is arrogant and has terrible customer communication skills. I needed a Claim Number added to the invoice. He said it could not be done. I requested he send an email to my Insurance Company with the relevant information and CC me. I have not received that email. A bad experience. I'll never use this company again. read more

My friend and I were moving her across country and urgently needed some chains for going over the mountain pass to the west of Denver. Rob was incredible. He called every place in the Denver area for chains or socks for our tires (finally finding the last place that had our size). He also checked our tires and gave us a complimentary tire rotation - we didn't even realize we needed one! Rob really went above and beyond and we are so thankful. My wife had to go to Denver for a work event. When she came out the valve stem core was missing on her right front tire. She was able to use our portable compressor to reinflate the tire but obviously the core was missing. Since we bought our tires at Big O she drove 30 minutes out of her way to get it repaired. When she arrived they refused to even look at the tire for 4 hours. They claimed that they were too busy. She then drove to an equally busy Discount Tire store that replaced the missing core in less than a minute. Both stores were very busy but obviously Big O does not understand customer service. I will never buy tires from Big O again. read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but this was some of the worst service i've had in my life. The employee who served us, Anthony, made us wait two hours before telling us the tire could not be fixed and they didn't have replacements in stock. Jesus, at least check beforehand! Then he refused to call any other stores to see if they had the tire we needed, and simply told us that we could not drive back to colorado springs on the donut. He had no alternatives to suggest. I would really appreciate if management would follow up with me, this store wasted several hours of my time and was just rude. There is no excuse. read more

I ordered a set of tires in advance- they called me to say they were in. I scheduled a time to visit. Turns out it is a snow day so they are super busy. Was told it's a 3 hour wait. Sigh. I can deal with that.....UNTIL they start serving every man and his dog BEFORE me! "Oh, you have a flat? Let us fix that for you". "So you want a rotation? Sure, won't be long" WTF????? I am spending a HUGE amount of $$$ compared to others just walking in and they don't seem to care. Maybe I came on a bad day, but the service I got was UNACCEPTABLE! I came in for an oil change and a tire rotation. What could go wrong? I'll tell you what could go wrong. My car is brand spanking new. I brought it in for its second oil change. Two days later my check oil light came on. They didn't put enough oil in the engine. How stupid is that. It was a quart low and no, none leaked out or burned up. INCOMPETENCE. Then a lug nut fell off, I'm not sure how I noticed it, but one of my locking lug nuts was missing. I called to complain and they said they have no record of me getting my tires rotated there, just the oil change. Needless to say, with this kind of incompetence, I will not be back. read more

These guys are the only place open on a Sunday. So they got one extra star for that. However, the employees here are rude and don't do good work. Had a flat needing to be patched, first off they quote $25. Other places do that for free. When I had them draw up a quote for four new tires they were about $100 more than their competitor that also does free patches. $200 more expensive once you include mail in rebates. The dude at the counter was even pissier when I mentioned the Free Flat Repair on their promotion section of the website. Though he did honor it he still charged me for the TPMS, which other competitors provide free. Mostly I'm writing this review because two days after my patch, the same tire was flat again. Took it to their decent competitor and they said the TPMS and valve stem both were leaking due to a shoddy install job. So this place does shitty work in order for you to get stuck coming back to buy their overpriced tires, and enjoy their oh-so-pleasant attitudes. Save yourself from feeling like a worthless customer, try their discount competitors. read more

Open on a Sunday, hence the one star. Would have been better off with a flat for an extra day. I bought a vintage Jeep that came with factory whitewalls, and Big O miraculously had them - quoted at $89/ tire. When I got there they pulled my car right in and got I work... Putting on the wrong tires (not the whitewalls j specified b the phone and in person). I only noticed when I got bored in the waiting room and wandered out to the service bay, after they were mounted. Strike one. So they had to mount and balance 4 new tires, while I waited. Meanwhile, I got to enjoy two employees engaged in a verbal altercation about taking walk in customers less than an hour before closing. Strike two. Then, after they were "done" with my car a tech rolls my full size spare out to me and expects me to put it back under the car. Sorry, but while I'm fully capable of doing that myself it's not what I paid you $400+ for... Had to remind them of that. Strike three. I go to pay and there are multiple charges that weren't disclosed (tire disposal, mounting, balancing, etc.) that at more reputable placed (see, e.g. Costco) are included in the advertised rate. Ended up paying $430 for 4 tires, hardly a bargain. Strike four. Lastly, adding insult to injury, the tires have some blue-tinted residue that I assumed was a cleaning agent or something and which would wash off. Wrong. The tires themselves don't look great, even brand new. Strike five. Highly doubts this is the kind of operation that will check/ respond to a Yelp review. Yep, Big O, that's a dare. I just went in there yesterday for a free rotate and balance since my tires are from another Big O and had a really good impression of this place. The staff were super friendly (they even gave my kid a balloon), i didn't get that shifty feel that you can sometimes get at auto shops, they have wi-fi and a nice waiting area and my car was done in a flash. ok, call me petty but i also liked their magazine selection-it's not every tire shop where they have mountain biking magazines. They made the obligatory attempt at an upsell but that's to be expected when you get a free service. I will definitely be back when my excellent Euro Tour tires are all worn out. read more

I popped the hood and checked my fluids and they were still low. They fixed it but the manager and the guy who worked on it was mocking me as he walked away. I had been driving around for over a week with a headlight and taillight out--and as we all know, that's just asking for trouble. How does that even happen at the same time? Anyway, I was on my way home and realized I would be driving later on in the dark and figured I might as well get my lights taken care of. I stopped on at Big O mostly because it's on Colfax on my way home and when I called, they said they could get me in right away. My car is a pain to change the headlight, as it involves removing some of the front car pieces. As I pulled in, Ken, the manager said he thought he would be able to take care of both lights for about 50-60 bucks. After a bit of time, they came and let me know it would be closer to 100 bucks (WHAT?), but I just needed it done. Anyway, the guys did a good job, it was fast enough, and I was treated nicely. A part of me always wonders if I'm getting screwed a little bit on the price, especially after an initial price quote that seemed much more reasonable. But then again, they saved me time and knew I had to have it done that night. Would I go back? Probably, but most likely not for any more in depth car service work. read more

Came in to have a slow leak repaired that had been poorly plugged expecting to be upsold a new tire. Angel took my info and said he'd look it over. Meanwhile, Ken checked specs on Kumho tires which my Hyundai Sonata is equipped with and showed me other options that provide better traction in the snow. In no time my tire was replugged and ready to go for less than $30. Didn't even have time to read my magazine in their spiffy waiting area. Nice store and good service. Thank you. The guys in the store are very friendly. However, regardless of when you arrive, plan on waiting at least 2 hours for anything you have done to your car. I recently brought my car in to simply put on my winter tires at 7:00 a.m. I was the first customer. I waited for two hours and was told that it was "backed up in alignment". What? I just wanted the tires changed. You can buy good tires almost anywhere. They are a commodity. Do yourself a favor, don't visit this place, and save yourself a few hours out of your day. read more

Rip off scam artists and I have proof. I do all my own mechanic work, but have to get my alignments and tire changes done by a shop because I don't have the large and expensive equipment to do it. I have done my own work for over a decade and used to be a mechanic myself. I dropped my Toyota truck off to get aligned after installing some parts. About 20 minutes later they called me, the guy says, "Your inner and outer tie rods and ball joints need to be replaced. Would you like me to work up a quote?" I had just replaced the inner and outer tie rods, the ball joints, the steering rack bushings, the lower control arm bushings, the sway bar bushings, and the sway bar end links myself in the last 3 weeks. All brand new OEM parts directly from Toyota. I have the receipts for the parts, and dated photos of the work I did. The last ones lasted 100k miles, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt they need to be replaced again after about 400-500 miles. Yet these douchebags are trying to upsell/scam me for somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200 when I go in for an alignment. I drove the truck on dirt roads the last few days, so the parts were dirty, of course. If you cant tell the difference between brand new parts with dust on them and 100k mile parts that need to be replaced, you need to find a new line of work. To top it off, after I told the guy that the parts were new, he starts arguing with me and suggests that maybe I got scammed by the shop that installed them and they used old parts, because "the tie rods are DEFINITELY toast". The shop that installed them is me, and the parts are 3 week old OEM Toyota parts. I didn't scam myself, but nice try, douchelord. Take your car literally anywhere else. Personally, I suggest Hotchkiss down the street. It will take a few days to get your car in, but that's for a reason. They know what they are doing and do it with integrity. read more

This place is awesome! The staff is super friendly. When I called about replacing the tire for my car he knew exactly what I needed and didn't try and tell me I needed to replace all four tires (like most places). They were super fast and had a really relaxed clean waiting room with water, coffee, TV and magazines. I even got a text message from them the next day thanking me for using them. I called to make an appointment to bring my car in for an oil change. I was told they don't make appointments for oil changes; that I would just have to bring my car in. So then I asked what time they closed, because I wanted to bring my car in for an oil change, and I was told six. I left work early, and sped across town to make it there before six. After waiting in line for almost 10 minutes a mechanic comes out and told me that he doesn't take oil changes after 4:30. I explained that I called and no one mentioned 4:30, but he refused to serve me even though they were open. Terrible customer service, I will never go back. read more
