One star is excessive. I have been here FOUR different times for a oil change and tire rotation. Come to find out they never did the tire rotation yet documented the did. When confronted the assistant manager became very defensive and rude. I guess he thought trying to ignore me would get ride of me. BEWARE of services they SAY provide. Auto Service - had them test my Honda's AC system; they told me the colored die they put in my system was showing up everywhere and the whole AC system needed to be replaced for $1,800. I took the car to the Honda dealership and they found nothing wrong with my system. Tires - I went in to buy BFG off road tires for my truck at Big O but they convinced me to try their top of the line off road tire. I came back two weeks later with vibration problems and it turns out they put low end cheaper tires on instead even thought they charged me the higher price. I moved in to PebbleCreek a little over 4 months ago from Omaha, NE.. I discovered a screw in my driver side rear tire yesterday around noon. I called Big O Tires around noon to see if I could bring my car in first thing in the morning to have the tire repaired (because they are close to home). The person who answered the phone said I could. I met the Manager (Ryan) this morning at 7 AM and told him the problem. He got me right in to fix/patch the tire. When it came time to pay, Ryan told me that he doesn't charge PebbleCreek residents for tire repairs/blowouts. I couldn't believe it! I had a flat tire so my dad brought my car in so we could discover the issue and how to fix it. I wanted to go to Discount Tire but he brought it here because it was closer. When I came to pick it up, the guy said that there was a screw in the tire and "bEcAusE of tHe LocAtioN of the ScReW" (on the side), "we need to replace the tire". He said when you replace one you should replace at least 2. And that my other tires were pretty worn as well? I didn't trust it, nor did I want to get scammed, especially after reading a review that they are hustlers here. In contrast, I fully trust the guys at Discount Tire. They are helpful, honest, friendly, and service-oriented. It's a great culture there. Last time I had a nail in my car they simply patched it up, at no charge. Anyway I left Big O, pumped up my tire again, and took my car to Discount Tire on Dysart and McDowell. I told the guy that according to Big O, I might need to get my tire replaced because of where the screw is located, but I'd like you to check first because I trust you guys more. He checked it and found that the screw was on top, so he said they could just patch it up (and it's free of course). I didn't need to replace it, I was right- Big O was lying and in it for the money. Total ripoff! Got a "free oil change" and somehow I still paid $43. They are just a bunch of salesman's. They gave me a estimate on my vehicle to be repaired. $1,421 is what they quoted me. I got 4 other estimates ranging from $340-525. Needless to say I did not use Big O. NEVER going back there ever again. read more

I took my car in for a repair to Wilhelm Automotive and they had a list of recommended service items upon check out including that the brakes were worn out so much that the rotors needed to be replaced. They stated there was just 3 mm remaining on the pads. Their estimate for this repair was $690. Two weeks later I went to Big O Tires to have them fix my brakes. I was told that my brakes were just fine with 8 mm remaining in the pads (new pads have 12mm). The team at Big O is honest and trustworthy. I will be a long term customer and highly recommend them. read more

I tried to get them to special order some tires for my hot rod, but got the run around instead. One employee ordered the set, but the completely wrong size and tire arrived at their store. I didn't get a call by 4pm so I decided to go down there, my car was in the same spot as I left it, they mentioned they were going to get it in soon. I had a 9:00 appointment for a transmission flush. I was there at 9:00. The service advisor told me I would be contacted when it was ready. I called at 1:00 and was told that my car was next up. I'm next up after 4 hours. When the appointment was made the day before, I was told that it would take about an hour. The service advisor said they had work carried over from yesterday. I'm sure he was aware of this when I dropped my car off at 9:00 but made no mention of it. Anyway, he finally called at 4:30 that my vehicle was ready. That's 7 hours for a 1-hour job and not one notification of a delay. I had been using Big O's service for both of my vehicles, but it looks like I'll be changing mechanic shops. read more

Within 10 minutes they came out with our fixed tire, offered to take it to the car and didn't charge up to plug and fill the flat. This company/ location is the very reason why women are told to have a man go with you for car repairs. Went in for new tires. At no point was i asked if i wanted the additional services added on. After having them removed my bill came out 100 dollars less. In addition, i was told a three hour wait. My mom gracefully picked me up to help kill some time. After 3 hours i called to check the status. I was placed on a 10 min hold and ended up hanging up. Called back was placed on hold again. I ended up calling back 30 minutes later. Jeff cox, the receptionist, said to come back five minutes till 4. Went back to the shop paid the bill. Jeff says they are almost done just getting wrapped up. 30 monutes later still no car. At this point im extremely upset. When car was finally done i asked Jeff for the corporate phone number. With a big attitude he says its on the paper work. It was that unprofessional response that made me call him an effing jerk. His response to me was go eat a d**k effing n****r. With everything thats going on in the world, i wont stay silent. That was the first time i was insulted about the color of my skin. All i asked for was the corporate phone number. The encounter and unacceptable service i recieved from Jeff Cox will never be forgotten and will always be a representation of how Big Ol Tires operates in my mind. Received a coupon in a welcome package for new residents of Goodyear. The coupon was for a free oil change. It had no restrictions or fine print. I took my vehicle and the coupon to this Big O location. First of all the counterman was a fast talking wise guy with a smart mouth. He informed me I would have to pay disposal fee for the used oil. Well, okay. Then he said he would have to charge me for a quart of oil because my vehicle takes 6 and the coupon only covered 5. Again, nothing on the coupon about that. Too tired to walk away I agreed. The cost was about $8.00. Not a big deal but the slick, condescending, fast talking employee left me with a negative impression of this place. These guys are awesome. They made the process of buying new tires, getting an oil change and fixing a leak on my car ... painless and fun. Ryan and Ian were very friendly and personable. They showed me exactly where my oil leak was and the issues I had with my tires before starting work on my car. Never thought I would review a tire place, but these guys have treated me so great on multiple occasions that I thought I owed it to them. They are friendly, honest and helpful. I got my brakes fixed here and while there, my other car's battery died. They offered a battery and I said I was just going to get one at Walmart, as there's was about $100 cheaper. They actually price matched the battery at Walmart so we wouldn't have to go through the hassle of leaving to go get a battery. So we got a much higher quality battery for half the price! read more

I want to tell you of a horrible experience my wife had at BIG O TIRES at 14240 W. Indian School Road, Goodyear, AZ 85395. Their Phone is (623) 935-2446. On 8/21 my wife had an APPOINTMENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE COUPON FOR $16.95 WITH FREE TIRE ROTATION. NO,NO, NO. After waiting two hours (Never ever had an oil change take so long) she was presented with a bill for a 54.95 oil change. NO ONE asked or told her that they were going to use synthetic oil instead of the 5w-20 oil that the dealer used when we went to Nissan. We average about 6,000 miles driving a year. THIS IS A CLEARLY A BATE AND SWITCH SCAM. MY WIFE WAS REALLY UPSET WHEN SHE CAME HOME. So I called BIG O TIRE and told we were mad because: 1. The oil change took so long. 2. They never did the rotation as stated in the coupon 3. NO ONE ASKED OR TOLD HER that they were going to use the more expensive oil. WHY????? The guy who answered the phone told me that she should of known what oil the car uses and HUNG UP on me. I was polite and never used any appropriate language. I was very unhappy with the service. My husband recently brought his car in to get an oil change and replace the filter. After clear inspection when we brought it home they never replaced the filter. I have heard from other people who mentioned to double check their work since they too have noticed work not being completed properly, and being charged for it. I've visited this location many times and have come to really rely on these guys for their automotive advice. The guys are always very helpful and conscientious about what you need. This past week my calipers locked up while driving on the freeway to work. I immediately went to them because they've been so helpful in the past and sure enough they were great again.The owner walked me out to my car, showed me exactly what was going on, explained in detail what he had to do to fix the issue and then worked with me on the quote so that we both understood each other's needs, mechanically and monetarily. I'm not going to say that the previous negatively-charged remarks were invalid or untrue, I have no idea what you experienced during your visit here, but I would say that I highly recommend that this place is given a second chance. read more

Not happy with these folks. Brought a set of tires/wheels to be separated; nothing more. Asked for care as the tires were sold to someone else and I planned to refinish the rims. They scratched all four rims and damaged two tires to the point of throwing them away. In fairness they are trying to make it right but damage to wheels and destroying two tires is simply unacceptable. This is what they do for a living. On the invoice it states "not responsible for scratches to wheels" How is that possible being in the tire/wheel business? read more

I bought a new set of tires in June 2019. We are now in August 2020, and then Sunday I was driving home on the freeway and the side wall blew out on my back rear passenger tire. I did not run over anything the side wall blew the tread was fine. I also have nitrogen in them so the air does not fluctuate. My husband took my car To the Goodyear Big O Tire where I originally purchased my tires. To get a new tire and my tires are still under warranty. I also bought the road hazard warranty. When he got there he explained to Jeff that the side wall had blown. That we would need a new tire. Jeff told my husband there was a 3 hour wait and my husband was like no problem. Jeff was very short and not really listening to what my husband was saying and Jeff wrote the ticket for a flat repair. This tire was not repairable ( I have pics). 3 hours later my husband went to ask the status of my vehicle and Ryan said we are pulling it in now. Not even 2 minutes later Ryan was like yeah we don't have that tire we need to order it. So needless to say 3 hours later I still didn't have a new tire. I called the next morning and asked for a manager and I got Ryan. I was trying to ask why my husband had to wait 3 hours to tell us the tire needed to be ordered. Why Jeff did not go look at the tire and realize that is was not a flat repair. Then he would not of had to wait for 3 hours. Ryan just kept talking over me. I finally asked if I could speak without him talking over me. I also tried to explain that Jeff acted like he was not interested in what my husband had to say. My exact words was Jeff was ignorant. Ryan at that point went a little postal stating they don't get paid enough money for me to call an employee ignorant. I stated I think it would be better if I called the corporate office Ryan stated corporate won't do anything we are franchised. When I asked for Ryan's name his response is my name is Ryan R-Y-A-N he felt the need to angrily spell it out for me. Finally I just gave up talking and Ryan stated we will call you when your tire is ready. I stated I can not wait 3 hours due to I work. He stated it would take 20 minutes at most. When I showed up a few hours later to get my tire mounted it felt very unwelcoming. But it got mounted and I was out pretty quickly. The one thing I don't comprehend is that I bought the roadside warranty originally and since the tire failed I have to buy another warranty on the replacement tire? Potential buyer beware!!! Steer clear of this business was shopping for tires. Our first impress was great, conducted business over the phone the sales clerk was knowledgeable and courteous, or so we thought. Driving a full trailer load for a living. Needed great tires for a fair price. And guess what they had them but at another. Told the clerk. Ok. Can we get them in and have them installed today? He said yes. He asked for my card information so we can be ready to go. Of course a few moments later Discount tires also found the tires at another location for about $200 cheaper and a better warranty, also able to install today. I called to cancel with Big O tires only to be told they have to charge me a RESTOCKING FEE!?!? $25 per tire. And yes I saw it on my statement today!! $100 for doing absolutely nothing, but try to sell me the same tires at a higher cost. This all happened all within less than an hour!! They could not have possibly transported the tire that fast. Even if they did it was probably from the van Buren location which is super close to them any way. These tires are not special order. You did not get them from the Warehouse either. So there really is no restocking!!!sad to see this is how bad they are hurting for business. For instants they didn't cheat me out of a $50 oil change, but instead told me that my car has a higher grade of oil so I don't need to change as often. read more

Zero stars, avoid at all costs! I have a new Sierra HD that I took to Big O to have a nail taken out of the tire, thought nothing of it until they came out with a tire that had obviously been damaged when they (Big O) took it off the rim. They blamed the dealer (GMC) saying since it had less than 16,000 miles it had to be a mistake made at the factory. Complete bologna, tire wouldn't have lasted 10 miles let alone 16,000. They wouldn't take ownership of the mistake either. Called Yates/GMC to have them look at it just in case as I fully expected to fork over the cost of a new tire. GMC said it couldn't have driven 16,000 miles like that and it wasn't a factory issue. They then called the owner of Big O to look at their floor footage from security cameras, Big O said they'd send the footage over that day. Two days later, no footage and they avoided our calls at Big O. Ridiculous and negligent. Dishonesty is obviously accepted on the floor level as well as the ownership level. read more
