Went in to get tires rotated a couple yrs ago and Miguel brought out a long list of over thousands he stated my car needed. I was going out of town that morning so I postponed, went home and called around for second opinions. I then decided to go to Les Schwab in Santa Rosa. I showed them the list and stated that big o tires in healdsburg felt sketchy. They said they would check my brakes and axle that Miguel at big o's stated needed immediate attention as well as that my car was leaking. Turns out Les Schwab stated that they had to pry off, forgot what, to examine the supposed issue. In other words, Big o's never checked anything and my car was not leaking nor did it require a new axles or brakes. What an extremely sketchy place. If you are a woman they will claim they are treating you as a sister to keep you safe and convince you to approve of unnecessary work on your car. Extremely friendly guys working there and very fast service. I called in this morning asking if it was okay for me to bring in my car to get all my tires changed. I drove in a half hour later, it took them not even 5 minutes to have my estimate ready, and then I got a ride to work. 2 hours later, I got the call that my car was ready. Stole my stock wheel covers! Replaced them with cheap copies! I didn't noticed until I got back home. Of course, how can I prove it, except that I looked at them just before I handed him the keys! I have gone in twice for an oil change. Both times I got mediocre service and had to go back because my indicator lights were still on. They tried to charge me to turn them off the first time, this time they didn't but I had to go in and wait for them to turn it off, something that should have been done during my oil change. They also didn't call me when my car was done, I waited an hour and then came back and my car had been sitting there for some time, ready for me to pick up. Had a little mixup with the appointment but nonetheless they were able to mount some tires in my car on a busy Saturday. They then called me and told me about an extra $100+ charge since I have TMPS sensors thwtneed to be moved and reprogrammed. I understood and said ok. This place is full of crooks. We have spent over $1000 at this place buying new tires and replacing tires. When two of the tires wore out after only 12000 miles when they were guaranteed for 40,000 miles, they wanted us to pay $110 just to replace their bad tires that they sold us! They were not willing to waive any fees for us. This is after my brother in-law went to them for a tire rotation and they didn't tighten his wheel nuts and his tire came off while he was driving away. They just said sorry. I will never return here. My mechanic recommended Valley Tire and Brake in Santa Rosa. read more

Mark the Owner is the nicest human on earth. I normally go to Big O tires, but I had a flat and went to the competitor because it was closer. We went for a long walk while waiting for the repair. When it started to rain, I called Big O tires for a ride back. Mark showed up--and I realized my car was actually at the competitors! Sleazy Sales Tactics - Beware! I have taken my vehicles to this Big O for many years, but those days are over. In the past two years, me and my co-workers (who also frequented this shop) all noticed that something has changed with the honesty. I have pulled away from this shop, and transferred most of my business to a tire shop in south HBG. Where good honest service still exists; it's not at Big O anymore! It all changed when getting a free rotation I was told that my vehicle needs an alignment, did not approve them to do the work, and at pickup they said they did it anyways - Meaning it didn't need to be done in the first place and they were trying to get $ for doing nothing. The next straw came when getting a rotation and telling them that I would not approve any work that would generate an expense. I picked up the vehicle and was charged $10 per tire for "balancing" which I did not approve. Did they even balance anything or just demand $ for nothing again? My experiences - echoing that of my co-workers - so I promised myself never to use this shop again. However, I figured I'd get one more free tire rotation on an 18 month old set I bought from them. When calling to see if my vehicle was ready, I was informed that they didn't do the rotation because the tires were so bad that it would make no difference. I asked again for them to rotate the tires and they declined to do the work. Knowing that my tires had at least 15K of tread left, I had to call their bullshit. At pickup I inquired to see how many miles the tires were rated, I was told "I don't think those tires have a rating", again I called bullshit and asked for that information to be looked up. I was told, "oh, they're 35K tires". I asked how many miles I had put on them since purchasing, with a beat-around-the-bush tone I was told "17K since purchase". Knowing that I saw through their game of sleaze ball tactics to make a buck, I was mumbled a farewell. The biggest shock came when I got in my vehicle and realized that the tires WERE ROTATED after all. WTF? Unfortunately, I'm sure that in this trusting small town, their pool of uninformed prey is very large which won't stop the dishonesty any time soon. read more

Great customer service and attention to detail - FAST! I get my 3/4 ton trucks tires here regularly and they take care of the tire rotations and any leak patches for free. Good place for all yer basic service and auto maintenance needs - even make a decent pot of coffee ;^) read more

The worst! They are on commission. I've used them b/c they are in walking distance to my house. A few times in, it's not worth the "no taxi or friend needed". They are sloppy, rude, the office smells like toxic rubber, and in my opinion and the opinion of a respected mechanic in my town of Healdsburg, CA, rip off artists. 0 stars. The worst experience I've ever had with vehicle repairs. I drove my car in for an appt. to get rear brakes, and soon after get a call that I need to replace all brakes (even though they had "replaced" the front brakes 2 months prior). I get another call back that my rear caliper had "broken" and my car was unable to drive (I drove my car in with no problems, and couldn't drive it out? Seriously?). They told me that my bill would be $3000 for all of the repairs, half of which were made up and I'm quite sure that they actually broke the caliper. Thankfully I spoke with other mechanics that helped with the situation, and after multiple phone calls the price was reduced to what I originally agreed to (still extremely overpriced). It was a hellish experience. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They seem nice, and tell you when you first walk in that they're straight forward and will walk you through the process. They're crooks, completely immoral, and take absolutely no pride in their business and doing a decent, honest job. read more

Made me feel extremely safe leaving the shop. Miguel was awesome to talk to, he found all the parts I needed replaced for my mustang an had them delivered in less then an hour, an all the work was done soon after. The only place I will be bringing my car now after experiences at other shops. They have a friendly knowledgeable crew an there is nothin like an honest business who cares about your safety. I cant say enough about this place. We came in stranded off the 101 south 500 miles from home with a blown rear end and a family of 5. Rick was nice enough to stay open after 5:00 to wait for us to show up and drive us around town in his personal vehicle until we found a room in town. Told me they could not repair the tire, but would put on the spare for me. No mention of or pressure to buy tires, so I asked. I went here for tires along with other requested services for my vehicle. The mechanic Earl was supposed to have checked my brakes along with a very large amount (dollarwise) worth of goods and services. As it turns out my brake pads had nothing left on the pads! I was driving without brake pads which thank God a true mechanic would have found as I have now met a true mechanic that showed this to me. My radiator coolant was leaking all underneath the chassis of my vehicle, along with very questionable work. To make matters worse my oil that was supposed to have been securely changed was leaking oil underneath my vehicle as well, nice job guys! Finding my front tire flat on my car yesterday morning, I put the spare on and drove to the tire place in Healdsburg, across the street from work. They told me my tire was ruined and unfixable and that I'd need to purchase 2 new tires minimum. I decided to try another tire place in Windsor near home and was told I needed to buy 4 new tires because my car was All Wheel Drive. Fortunately, I went to Big O Tires in Healdsburg for a third opinion. My car is less than 2 years old and has 15K miles on it so the thought that my tires all needed replacing seemed excessive. The folks at Big O were incredibly nice and told me my tire was fine. They plugged and patched it that day. When I went to pay my bill, I was told they had a Pay it Forward policy for flat tires. All I needed to do was be kind and generous to someone else. No charge. Need I say, I will never go anywhere but Big O when I do need tires? My husband has a fleet of 8 vehicles for work in Healdsburg. We are going to Big O from now on. What a nice place! Good vibes and great service. Just wow! read more

Absolutely the nicest people. Tire was low on my way to a birthday lunch in Cloverdale. They were so good to me. I had about a 2" screw in my tire that they fixed right away. Their kindness and willingness to bend over backwards to help me so I could get to the birthday celebration was remarkable. When I reached my destination, (a little late, but I made it!), I told the party about my experience at Big O and they made several comments such as, "Oh, Healdsburg Big O! They are well-known for their kindness!" Now, I won't go so far as to say that I hope I get a flat tire next time I am in Healdsburg, but oddly, that thought briefly crossed my mind. They can install tires, but avoid the front end work. Spent $1700 on front end repairs which was a waste of money. They replaced parts which didn't fix the issue. I took it back without success. I will never go near this place again. Which really upset me was they didn't care if I was a satisfied customer and treated me poorly. Big o may be ok elsewhere, but it comes down to the quality of service which Healdsburg big O couldn't deliver. Better to drive to Santa Rosa and avoid the small town tire oligopoly! read more
