I wish there was something less than one star. Do not take your car here for anything! I always try to give a business a chance to redeem themselves and this place just cannot do it. First time they lost my wheel lock, second time they didn't rotate my tires, third time they didn't rotate my tires. The reason for not rotating today was they didn't look like they needed to be rotated!! The reason they wear evenly is because I keep them rotated and not there decision when I am paying for tire rotation with an oil change. Not sure why I came back. Give them another try I guess. We were on our way to Laughlin when we noticed the tires on the boat trailer were dry rot and needed to be replaced. We called a few places because we had size 14s and nobody had them. They even went as far to tell us what we weren't going to find them anywhere and that we should just get bigger rims. So we made one last call to Big O. Chris answered and was on it in a flash. He checked his computer and saw they had them in stock. But just in case he went back and verified they were there. I told him we were on our way to the river and he made sure everything was ready. Do not let them do anything but tires!!! I had them do an oil change on my car, a few days later while driving I noticed it sounded like my air filter box was open. I popped the hood and sure enough they didn't put the air filter box on correctly. At this point I notice the same old Toyota oil filter on the car, which means at the very least they changed the oil and not the filter. Honestly though, I doubt that even happened. On the bright side they did give me a full refund, probably only because I caught them red handed. read more

Cheap oil change with coupon but I must have missed the fine print that said it did not include any replacement oil. Took one of our cars for a simple oil change and they did not put any oil back in after draining the used oil. Drove 2 miles home and it was clanking and sputtering and stalled at the intersection a block from home. Both our insurance and trusted mechanic said DON'T DRIVE IT the engine is ruined. Next time I guess we will pay the $50 our trusted mechanic charges for an oil change because it comes with replacement oil and is cheaper than purchasing another car! I had my oil changed at Big O tires at power and baseline and asked them to check my brakes they said that is part of there policy to do. So when I paid for my oil change I asked about my brakes and he "" The Manager"" said they were at 8mm. New is 10mm. So ok great. Well 3 weeks go by and my brakes start screeching and I take it to firestone where they inform me my brakes are at 1mm and are almost metal to metal. This could have caused an accident. I'm bummed to hear about the previous negative reviews. I went here a few days ago with a flat tire I had limped to this location. There was only one person in front of me and it was first thing in the morning. The guy in front of me was in his 90's and needed brake jobs on both of his vehicles. Tom was on duty up front, and spent about 20 minutes trying to work with this guy so he could afford to get his brakes done. While it's a business and understandable that they need to make money, Tom never used this angle. He said things like, "Let's help you out and make sure you and your wife stay safe by seeing if (such and such) options will work for you". The patience, grace, and respect he showed this gentleman were outstanding. Tom was friendly with every person who walked through the door while I was there. I know from my own job that you never know whose worst day you will encounter or who those customers are, but mine had started miserably and after this visit I was on my way to an amazing shift at work. I hope they don't count their losses from doing this nice man a huge favor, because the next time I need service and/or tires, I will go out of my way to visit this location. I was a little skeptical about going in to get my tire repaired considering I've never had to take a car, or tire, to a shop. I went in to get my tire repaired around 2 PM. The staff were friendly and kind. They were pretty busy and asked for 4 hours to get the repair done. The pricing was great! And they didn't try to do any "add-ons" either. About 45 minutes later I got a call saying my tire was already ready for pick up. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them. Happy customer here! read more

New management is terrible. Went in for an oil change, went on my way to work afterwards with my splash guard/oil drip pan hanging off and scraping on the highway. Couldn't fix it until after work; but by that time the holes to insert the new plugs were scraped away. Big o tires thankfully took it off and threw it away for no charge and also Refused to offer anything in exchange for diminishing the value of my car and doing an improper job at a major location. The manager then claims because my car is an older car, that the clips just fell out when I drove off, but if that were true then I'd surely be able to find at least one plastic clip or any plastic/molding in my car that should be also brittle/old or aging, but that's not the case. My car is garage kept and there isn't any sun damage on my car neither is any plastic fading or brittle. Very odd excuse to get out of replacing a cheap part or offering some sort of complimentary service. Will not be returning to big o tires and I will be spreading word to family/friends that this location is not customer friendly and they will lie as much as possible to save a few bucks, which makes you wonder what else they are saving money on while working on your vehicle. This needs to be said. I bought 5 new tires for my 5th wheel at this location. National brand. Since then, I have replaced 5 of the 4 on the trailer. They all seperated. Each time I was charged $55 for a Warranty fee. So this is 5 times I have to replace the 4 tires on the trailer at the original cost and then another $250+ for all the "warranties". I am here now becasue they put a replacement tire on that was 65 psi and should have been 80 psi. In the time I have waited ive seen two sets of keys lost and a customer came in to pick up car at scheduled time and the rep said. Im sorry your tire is still in route. Customer says, why didnt you call (right!?). I just went around the corner and looked in on bay and the gentleman replacing the tire was sitting down and tire was not even out on yet. Im an hr in now. Save yourself the time and the headache and give your $ to somewhere else. read more

I don't remember who I spoke to the first time but it was in August of 2017 and I bought 3 new tires. 2 to go on the car and 1 to have as a spare. A year later we needed to fit the spare and the tire didn't fit!!! It was a COMPLETELY different size, and I know nothing about tires so I called to see if we could get it exchanged for a new tire of the CORRECT size since that's what I was buying. Went in and was told that isn't possible I was quoted what it would be for a new tire and told I could also check the dealership. Honestly I can't believe that after being sold the wrong tire size the store is not taking responsibility for it and replacing it especially since it's never been used. I had an appointment for an oil change, alignment, and removal of a nail in my tire. Apparently an appointment doesn't mean anything at this location since my truck wasn't moved for well over a half hour. How long should my appointment take for what I needed done? Certainly not almost three hours! No joke - from the time I arrived for my "appointment" until I finally drove off was 2 hours 40 minutes. Ridiculous. Although we've been coming to this location for a couple of years, I will not be giving them any more of my business. They shouldn't offer appointments if don't actually mean anything. Went in for an estimate for work on the front brakes hoping for a better deal than what was offered by our Toyota dealer. The estimate came back with the rotors needing replacement. However, Toyota did not feel the rotors needed replacement. Toyota stated the rotors were well within acceptable tolerance and only needed to be resurfaced. So either the Big O Tires mechanic did not know much about brakes or this store was purposely recommending an unneeded product. Diego was very nice and provided excellent customer service. When my vehicle was not immediately returned to me after the estimate was completed (I had to wait over 30 minutes to get it back), Diego personally went to the back and drove it out to me. EDIT : A few days later I went in to Brake Masters (Store # 151 ; 2344 E. Baseline Rd) to have the work done since they quoted me a good price. It turns out that the brakes did NOT need any servicing at all. So this makes Big O Tires look even worse. In fairness to Big O Tires, the shop manager called me to apologize and offered to take the blame. But as I explained to him, there is no way a competent mechanic could inspect a set of working brakes and come back with a recommendation of new pads and new rotors! read more

Bad customer service and incompetent. If I could give less than one star I would. I went to this location for an oil change I made an appointment at 7 AM to make sure I was first so that I could be in and out. The oil change took over two hours. They let me know that my air filters needed to be changed. The next day I went and purchased my own air filters and opened my hood to replace the filter and found big O tires tools still in my engine. I drove back to big O tires and asked to speak with the manager. The manager said that it's very common for them to leave their tools and that he was sorry that I had to wait two hours for my oil change. He did not do anything to accommodate and he was very rude. A big shoutout to Johnny at Big O Tires. He made my day last Saturday. On Friday night during my drive out to Mesa from Southern California we got a nail in our tire. I had to drive the bulk of the way on our spare tire at 55 miles and hour with everyone passing us like we were standing still. It was a long night and we had to be up early for my sons baseball tournament. I called Johnny first thing Saturday morning and dropped of my tire to be fixed and was able to watch both my sons games. They got another call they didn't have the right lug nuts so they needed to keep it till morning. Shady business practices. Sent my wife in on Friday with a nail in her tire. Had already taken the tire off prior to going to Big O to inspect it for the leak. Big O employee tried telling her the nail was next to a previous patch and would have to replace the whole tire. They claimed the patches were too close. And of course since the front tires are at 20k miles they recommend replacing both. Got the call for a 180 dollar bill. I already knew the first patch was on the opposite side after looking for the leak this time. Send wife to Discount Tire. I needed 2 tires on a trailer and was ok with the initial quote. Went to pick the trailer up and there was 2 charges that didn't need to be on there, no explanation given by the guy at the til. I had to argue to get the 2 charges removed, I'm not sure if the work they over charged for was even done. Check your bill closely after for excessive charges. read more

Possible Fraud. While sitting in the waiting room for approximately hour and 45 minutes for a flat repair. I Overheard three separate conversations with three different customers as to why their vehicles needed $350.00 plus in repairs above and beyond, what it was originally brought in for. I was next, expected the worst after that. I got it. Salesman stated he cant repair my tire and due to COVID 19 he could not get me the same tire I originally bought in his store. The only tire that was as good would be at least $155.00. I refused and asked for my spare to be placed on the car . In his frustration, as I watched he had the shop worker break the bead on the tire withe machine to insure it would not be used ? He taught me a lesson. Big Mistake! After getting a call from a shop doing my oil change and being informed my tire was splitting I called for a quote. I chose to try Big O Tires since they have an alignment package and with all the driving I do I knew it was something that I needed. While on the phone I was informed the tires I wanted were not in stock, but he could order them and have them there by noon. I informed him I did not have the cash on me, nearly a thousand dollars is hard to have on hand when you live paycheck to paycheck. I was told to fill out the link I was sent through text and as long as I had a job and bank account I would be approved. I filled everything out as soon as I could. I was able to get my car there at 2pm just to be told my tires had not been ordered and the only way they can order is by taking a down payment. They tried pushing me to buy tires with 20,000 miles less of a manufacture warranty because they were in stock. I asked if there was a way I could just buy a single tire for the two days I had to wait for the tires I wanted and was quoted to come in. I was told I could and so a $60 plus tire was added to my bill. I was told after getting the 4 new tires installed I could have this tire as a backup full size spare. Sounded ok to me. The tire was put on and I left. When I got to my destination I realized my other front tire was also splitting, it was much worse than the tire I had replaced because it was too dangerous to drive on. They had not checked any of my other tires during the 3 hours I was there. They were already closed so I was not able to talk to anyone. I left my car in a parking lot until Monday when I was done with work and my boyfriend was able to follow me in case they other tire blew out. I got there no problem, thankfully I wasn't far away. They finally had the tires and after waiting more hours I was informed all 4 new tires had been put on and the alignment had been done. I received absolutely zero paperwork for this visit. I did receive the initial paperwork on my first visit so hopefully that is enough, but I would think with getting an alignment done they would have some information to give me. I live over 30 miles away and on the 5 mile stretch of nothing my TPMS warning comes on. I have never seen this warning before. As soon as I can I pull into a circle k parking lot to check what that is even a warning for and Tire Pressure Measurement System. I have seen the low tire pressure light so this way new and not what I wanted after just buying brand new tires. My boyfriend checked the pressure. The driver front tire was filled to 50 LBS, the passenger front tire was filled to 40 LBS, the back tires were closer to the actual 35 LBS that my tire pressure should have been. I went in Tuesday after work and stated the light was on and was just told to go to the side and they would check my tire pressure. I knew the issue, but wanted to see what their reason for filling my tires so inconsistently was. After almost amusingly listening to how much air had to be let out of multiple tires I was told "Your front tire was filled to 50 LBS." When I said well I got the tires installed here yesterday the guy kind of walked on and said nothing to me. Absolutely no sorry when in their lobby there is a huge poster about tire pressure being extremely important. Anyway I went directly to Discount Tire to have him check my pressure because I did not trust this shop anymore. They evened out my tires so they were all the same pressure since they were still inconsistent. I was also informed there was no Nitrogen in my tires at all even though I was charged for it. Also that extra tire I bought the first day, that I was told I could use as a spare, is not in my car. I have zero clue what they did with it. I only paid for them to dispose of 4 tires, not 5 because I expected to keep that tire. I'll admit the buy two get two free tire signage stabbed my attention, but once inside I was greeted by Leon who went out of his way to offer great service. I visited this location in a Saturday during their bi-annual promotion and yet I was treated like the only customer in the store. Legion explained my tire options as well as offered to have one of his service techs drive me home and pick me up when my vehicle was finished. Today I had a bad experience here. I went in to get two of my tires replaced. The purchasing of the new tires and having them installed was great and no issues. The issues came when I was driving home and ran over a nail and had to stop at a nearby tire shop to patch the nail hole. They were telling me that whoever last put my wheels on did not torque them correctly and they were so tight that he had to let me know he won't be responsible if the wheel studs snap off. I said it should be good I only had them put on a few hours ago at big o' tires. Low and behold, 3 of the wheel studs snapped off and one of the 5 studs were cross threaded. On my other wheel 1 stud snapped off. I had to pay the mechanic $280 to fix my wheel studs since I couldn't drive home with only 2 studs on one wheel, or get the parts. When I told big o' tires of this, they immediately made the excuse that the tire shop I visited used the wrong tools to remove my wheels. THEY TOLD ME THE TIRE SHOP USED THE WRONG TOOLS and therefore they are not liable. There's no possible way I am going to confront the mechanic about if he used the right tools when he owns his own shop, and there's no way to prove if he did or didn't, big o' tires is only using any excuse to avoid fixing my wheel studs because they over tightened them and don't want to fix THEIR mistake. It's very very hard for me to comprehend how a business like this is still open, or more curious why the current management has not been replaced. It's just another added stress to my life that now I must bring a torque wrench with me anytime a business works on my car so I can double check Their work that I am paying for them to double check. Wasting my time and money that I could be spending with my family. Absolutely ridiculous. I will be in contact with upper management and see if there are any resolutions or if they could at least review/investigate the current management. It costs me a total of $412 for the tires, $280 to replace the studs they broke, and $40 to patch the hole. (I don't blame them for me running over a nail though) Definitely will be spreading the word around that big o' tires is the next Midas. Do not shop here; at least at this location!! If something goes wrong on their end, they WILL cover their ass and not worry about the customer. read more
