I purchased a full set of tires several weeks ago. At that time they did not have the rims that I needed so I had to take the tires elsewhere and have them put on. Typically, company policy dictates that if you carried them out (since they didn't install them, which is understandable), they really weren't obligated to repair the 2 screws that made their way into my back tire. but Joel agreed to it. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I found a business that wants my business and not just my money. Worst customer service from Parnell. This guy is very lazy, the moment i walk in he said come tomorrow we are busy, when there was barely any car being worked on. I came in at 3.00pm and they close at 5.00pm, but because i was not buying any tires and wanted a wheel alignment which is covered for 3 years he didn't want to cater for my service. Luckily Angel told me will fix your car don't worry. I think Johnny the owner is an incompetent owner who is too old n has a dirty mouth as well. This review comes after three separate visits to this Big O Tires location. All three visits have been five stars. It started with Mario on the phone. About 8 months ago I was looking for a new set for my 02 pickup. I had previously bought very expensive tires. Michelin, Yokohama, and Goodyear. The fact is I was never 100 percent happy with any of them. I asked Mario for a set of whatever he stocks. The price was way less than the previous sets. I bit. I went in and got the tires. The service is what I like here. Mario and the rest of these people make me feel valued as a customer. While I never expect great service, I get it here. The tires? Yeah, like a pair of brand new comfortable sneakers! My truck and I LOVE these tires. My wallet thanked me! 2nd Visit. I just bought our son a new Fit and wanted a bit more performance with the tires. I went to see Mario. Again, this guy is a pro's pro. He listens carefully, offers an option or two, and backs it up with expert, quality work done out in the shop by his crew. I've been in a hundred or more shops, worked in a few, and I know what I see from the crew. They aren't fooling around. There taking care of business. Third visit. Mario, I LOVE this guy. No nonsense. Needed balance and rotation of the last set of tires I bought elsewhere. He and his guys had the job done quickly. You'll want to show up first thing in the morning because this shop gets busy for good reasons. I expected to pay but I was not charged. Wait what? I did not miss type. He also informed me that front brakes are needed soon. We talked about that and off I went. I don't ever see myself ever buying tires from anyone else. They have what I want and treat me right. Purchased new tires along with the warranty they offer. Took my vehicle for the yearly tire rotation and got denied due to the front tires having more wear than the rears. I asked them to be replaced under warranty since they were well under the warranty time frame and miles on the tires since purchased. They gave me excuse after excuse and they denied my claim. Went in because one of my tires had an air leak. Figured out it was coming from the valve. Entered the shop and described exactly what the problem was. Ulises helped me thoroughly and walked through the issue step by step. I could tell he was a solace worker by other customers having a nice, comforting demeanor towards him. He valued my time because I was in and out of there, and when he went to fix the valve, he knew each exact size and tool for the work. I get you guys close at 5... but if a customer pulls in at 4 you most definitely have time to see if my ONE tire has a leak. I have gone to America's tire at 530 (they close at 6) and have not been denied service! I told the guy the light has come on a couple times and he just aired it up and said if it comes back on then we have a problem. I CAN AIR UP MY OWN TIRES. The reason I brought it in is because I am driving 800 miles this weekend and didn't want my tire to leave me stranded on highway 5 with nothing around! Lost my business for good. read more

Totally forgot to submit this review but I'll get to the bottom line here. I drove off to work one morning and realized my car was shaking and thought I got a flat tire. Luckily Washington was my next exit and decided to pull in to this Big O Tires. Was greeted by two guys and they've kindly met me know they will be assisting me next. Mind you I was on my way to work so you can imagine I was stressing a bit for running late. As if the staff new, they attended me at a quickly manner. I forgot his bane but he asked me what was wrong and I explained him the issue. He was confident that I didn't have a flat and instead had loose bolts. Mainly in the rear wheels since I didn't feel my steering wheel shake. He eventually found a missing bolt plug on my left rear wheel! Someone tried to steal my rims the night before. Seems like the robber gave up after noticing my wheel lock. Staff were able to tighten up my bolt plugs and get me out there in a few minutes! I can't say enough nice things about this location. They do fast work and they're extremely reliable. I got two flats on my car in the later afternoon, and they fit me in ten minutes before they closed and even finished within the same hour. Mark is the guy i trust the most here. He has always been straightforward with me when I have come in. He has even turned me away when i did not need service. Today i came in thinking i needed an alignment and shocks....after looking at my tires he SHOWED me where my tires were going bad and "chipping away' It was a tire issue. Ulysses is great. I called a day before I took my Tahoe for a battery. I got there the following day & he had the paperwork all ready & set to go. All I had to do was sign the acknowledgment. I was in & out in 30 minutes. He did the same thing when I took my daughter's car for tires a few months ago. He helped me choose the tires over the phone. Me and my Dad have been regular customers here since the 90's and we both loved it. Mark and John were awesome. Unfortunately Mark retired and John I'm not sure what happened. Now it's some guy name Angel that's at the front. Every experience I had with Angel has been terrible. One time I had a flat tire. I brought it there because I purchased all 4 tires from them so it's free to get it patched up. After it was done I gave him $5 tip for a drink or coffee or something as a thank you. It's all the cash I had at the moment. He took it and laughed sarcastically. He stared at the $5 bill and said $5? And why does it look so old? I just said thanks again and walked away. Another experience I had about 1.5 year ago. I bought a tire and he offered the insurance that whatever happened to the tire. Slashed or ripped we'll replace it for free. I took it because I always did with Mark and John. Sure enough I had a flat tire just a few days after. I brought the car to get it fixed. He said He can't replace it because it looks like I drove on it while it was flat. I told him of course I had to drive it and get it to the shoulder for safety reasons. I was in the middle of the freeway and i had to work my way to the shoulder. He wasn't listening. He said he can't replace it. So I had to buy another tire. Just my overall trust is gone here at this big o location. I was lucky to find another big o that I've been going for almost a year now and it's great. Just to be clear. Again,,, these guys here at the corner of Lewelling Blvd and Washington Ave proved to me that honesty is the best policy. Working at a local funeral home, we have all our vehicles serviced there for repairs and tires. Three times I have been a customer and have the greatest of service! Had a bad vibration when I braked, took my 2013 Chrysler 300 in today knowing my Rotors prob needed to be replaced. Not! They called me to say the only thing needed was to be shaved, not replaced! Since the new owner took over the once friendly environment has become stale and uninviting. First thing I noticed, the waiting area was changed. The customer coffee machine was removed. Small courtesy but greatly appreciated when spending five or more hundred on tires and services while waiting for the job completion. The interior if the sales area has had framed pictures of vintage vehicles along with other memorabilia removed making it very a very sterile environment for customers awaiting service. I have seen the attitudes of the employees become one of doing the job for the boss and not the customer like before. It is evident without even talking to the employees. They say nothing but it can be seen and felt. I have gone to this location with all of my vehicles for the past 30 years as a faithful Big O customer. The one thing I learned as a business man was "if it ain't broke don't fix it". The new owner obviously has never heard this. read more

I love this place. The best customer service. They beat the price of any where else. I found it is even cheaper than Costco. Staff are super helpful. If you have a flat tire, just drive in, they take a look, if there is no sign for nail, they pump the air for you. I recommend buying alignment service, they rotate and do the alignment which is good for the life of the tires. Good parking. They do speak Spanish as well. Highly recommend. read more

Went in to get my own 2 front tires mounted and balanced. They quoted me $100, $25 to mount and $25 to balance per tire. Going rate is about $20-30 for mount and balance. I went down the street to the other Big o tires and it was $25 per tire. I'd go else where as this place is way too expensive. read more

Horrible service. Called once and got a run around about pricing on tires. Says, oh maybe around $700. Felt like I was trying to pull teeth to get prices. And still only got a around about price. Today I pulled in and asked about how much would it cost to get my oil change. He said $79.99 I said I can get a goupon for $49.99. He says oh yeah that's only if you go to Berkeley or San Ramon. I just got home to check the goupon and I can go to the one on mission Blvd. let me just add I already went to the big O on mission and got my tires done. By the way I only paid $562. Worst service ever. Don't go to these guys if you need any work done other than tires because that's all they can handle (even though they "offer" more services)​. They're not confident in doing anything else because they're scared of being sued. After seeing other reviews of bad customer service, I can see that these guys are just lazy clock watchers trying to drag out their day doing as little as possible. PRO TIP for you Big-0: if you have such a lack of confidence in your staff that you're scared of litigation, you need to hire better staff. read more

This review is solely based on the customer service from my most recent visit. It was a very busy day for them, but I'm not sure if it's like this everyday. At the morning drop off there were at least 6 people in line waiting, while two men were actively working the desk. They did ask if I could leave the vehicle (instead of waiting for it), and gave me an estimated completion time. An hour after that estimated time, I still hadn't heard from them, so decided to call to see if the vehicle was ready. They didn't answer the phone. I tried to call 4 to 5 more times over the course of the next hour, and they never answered. Finally, about an hour later I got the call saying it was ready for pickup. I went down there, and there were now 10 people in line. Now let me just say that I felt for the two men, as they appeared to be overwhelmed and were doing their best. Not only do they have to help the customers that are in the shop, but they also have to answer the phones (I saw this being done at this time so wonder why my calls weren't answered - I'm thinking there must have only been one person working the counter at that time), sign invoices for delivery drivers, and speak with the mechanics about different cars and the services/parts that are needed. I waited 45 minutes in that line before it was my turn at the counter, and there were 10-12 people in that line the whole time. And for at least half of that time, there was only one person at the counter. That is crazy. I really hope management looks at this feedback, because here is a suggestion from someone who has a retail background: When you have two people working the counter and a line longer than 4 people, have one person ask and only call up people who are just there to pick up their vehicles. The service to these people only takes a fraction of the time (a couple minutes at best) compared to helping customers who are asking about services/parts/estimates, etc.. That way you clear your line faster, and don't frustrate the people who have already waited in that line once that day, and just need to pick up their cars. read more

These guys are amazing. I drove in towards closing time on July 3 since my TPMS light was on. They were done for the day, but still proceeded to inspect my car, fill up the air in my tires and also topped off my brake fluid. They didn't even charge me for the service. Service: A+, if they don't have a line, they work on your vehicle ASAP, the guys know what they're doing. Compared to Costco, where it seems the workers take a break after each tire. Price: Although a little more expensive than Costco, the fact that they have multiple locations, great warranty, and fast service is worth it. They even work on Isuzu/GMC box trucks. I only come here for their tire services so I can't comment on their other auto services. However, I see their Wheel Alignment offering which I think is a waste of money for many people. Cars DO NOT need to have a wheel alignment done every 6,500 miles. If they did, either your car is bad, or they didn't do a good job in the first place. So take my suggestion: just do 1 alignment per 50-100k miles, or as necessary. read more

I went there yesterday to have a flat tire repaired on my 2016 Prius, quoted $25, not bad; so I rolled my tire into the office, and the guy (think it's John with tattoo all over) said oh the tire wall looks beat up, no longer repairable... then that "all too nice guy" told me it would cost me $160 for a new tire, cuz "it's a Goodyear AND my car requires run flat" when I raised the question about why run flat tire, he added, "it's a hybrid" get outta town already. Maybe other hybrids requires run flat tires, I know for a fact Prius don't; maybe Goodyear tires are indeed $160, how about another option? I was rolling my Undercover Brother Hoop tie home from work the night before and hit a road hazard which punched a hole in the side wall of my tire. Luckily it was a Big O tire. So I stopped by Big O for a flat repair . Unfortunately sidewall flats cant be fixed. So they prorated the tire and replaced it for a nominal fee. one morning, the flat tire indicator came on in my car. having ignored it once before and having my tire deflate while i was on 580, i decided to get this fixed immediately. big O was open and i was quoted 20 for the patch. got free donuts and coffee from a coffee vending machine. the cofffee was surprising good.and better than most indy shops. i was soon informed i needed my rear tires replaced(total $350ish). i wasn't surprised at the upsell and though the price seem high, it seem reasonable. so, i gave my ok. while i was waiting i was fortunate enough to meet a gentlemen who told me of a car supply alternative (on a st with the big flag) and the nevada "warehouses". you can get tires there and big o would change it for a fee. the people here are efficient, courteous, and professional. i wouldn't hesitant to repeat here. the premium price paid i may have paid is an insurance policy against future mishaps. read more
