Lopez tires helped me out of a crappy situation and I am super grateful! I ended up with a flat on a Saturday at 4pm. I panicked and started calling shops because it feels like no one stays open late on the weekends. The first one I called didn't have the size I needed for the replacement but recommended I call Lopez. No one picked up the first time, but I tried again 5 minutes later and got confirmation they had what I needed and would be open until 6, and would likely still be in the shop until 6:30. I called AAA, and they were magically to me within 15 minutes instead of the 65 I was quoted. I hurried my ass over on the spare donut and the guys there had me set to go in a reasonable about of time, and for a fair price. The head honcho gave me a heads up they're open on Sunday too. Having a good tire place in Oakland is very necessary because while gentrification has brought white people with dogs and very expensive but delicious coffee, it has yet to fix our roads. I've tried a fair amount of tire shops in Oakland and Berkeley, and this one stands out for quickness, value, and honesty. They didn't try to upsell me on a whole new set of tires, they switched out the spare for the new tire in ten minutes, and charged me only for the new (used) tire for $42.
