I scheduled an appointment a week in advance at this Big O Tires location to have the serpentine belt replaced on my van and dropped it off early Saturday morning so they would have the entire day to complete the job. This was especially frustrating because I'm not a new customer. This same shop has worked on this van multiple times before -- oil changes, two air-conditioning repairs, and they previously replaced the power steering pump -- so my vehicle and contact information should already be in their system. I waited the entire day without hearing anything. About an hour before closing I finally called them myself to ask about the status. That's when I was told they couldn't do the repair because it "required a special tool" and that I would need to take the vehicle somewhere else. They also claimed they had tried to call me earlier but had written down the wrong phone number. Given that I'm already a repeat customer in their system, that explanation didn't make much sense. It was also confusing since this same shop previously replaced the power steering pump on the van, which involves the same serpentine belt system. Because the van had been dropped off for the day, I had already paid for an Uber ride home and then had to pay for another Uber to return to pick it up. When I arrived, someone I had never seen before came out into the parking lot and handed me the keys without even allowing me to come inside to discuss the situation. In the end, nothing was repaired, I lost an entire day waiting, and I still have to find another shop to complete the work. Very disappointing experience. read more

I took my car to Big O Tires to have a spare tire put on, and they used the completely wrong lug nuts, which severely cross-threaded and mangled my wheel studs and left my vehicle unsafe to drive. When I called them to let them know that their technician put the wrong lug nuts on, the manager actually asked me, "How are we supposed to know it was the wrong lug nuts?" It is terrifying that a professional automotive shop expects the customer to verify that their technicians are using correct hardware. Matching thread pitch and lug nuts is basic mechanical competency. Instead of taking accountability for severe shop negligence, management tried to deflect responsibility over the phone. Thankfully, I took my car to Discount Tire instead--they are actually competent, and their team was incredibly helpful in handling this mess. I made an appointment for 8:15 AM for a tire rotation. I called to verify that I actually wanted a balance and the person on the phone said it didn't matter what I put the appointment in for to just let them know when I got there. I got there at 8:10 AM and waited over an hour. My car was never touched. At that point I left because there is absolutely no reason that I should have waited that long with an appointment. Never coming again after the conversations I overheard with customers where they took advantage of people who have less knowledge on cars. I've been in the car industry for 13 years and I'm married to a mechanic. Horrible business practices. read more

I've used this place three times. My family has a few more times. Every time a couple of their employees work on our cars the work is done reasonably well for a good price. I'm afraid to name them because they have such a crappy boss. But if you just walk in and get the next person up, or god forbid, have to deal with Steve... turn around and walk away. very shady "needed repairs" my vehicle was just turning off mid drive. Everything would die on it. I did not have an engine light on and no other big issues. They told me it was my alternator and they were surprised that all my electrical hadn't fried because it was charging so high. If my alternator had way too much charge, my engine light would've been on and I would've been smelling smoke from issues from being so overcharged. but they kept telling me that was the issue so I paid the $900 and they changed out the alternator. And then my car died on me five times right after that. My husband found out it was just a loose connection from the connection cord to the battery. 0$ fix. $900 down the drain. read more

They will try to get you to sign up for their high interest rate credit card, i watched the one dude pitch it to 4 people while I was there. They Even went as far as to lie to me about what is wrong with my car. Saying cords were showing on the tires. They weren't. Payed for an oil change that includes a rotation didn't get a rotation. Had to go back because they don't install the glove box back correctly from checking the in cabin air filter. Which i told them had just been replaced. Big shout out to Greg for trying to take advantage of a female. My wife came to this location to have a tire patched. Not only was this refused, but this stellar employee tried to sell her on set of 4 for $1500 claiming they were all worn (this quote was for the same Michelin tires we had mounted that he just tried to say were bad tires to have in Az). We had one tire out of 3 that were the same exact dimensions and tire type just a different brand (Goodyear touring AW) and he tried telling her that this would cause mechanical damage to the vehicle. We called Costco right away and they offered the same set of Michelin Defender2 tires for $1170 OTD. When we got the car to Costco they patched the punctured tire with no issue and said we only needed to replace the one goodyear tire and we absolutely did not need a set of 4 and had 70-80% worth of life left on the 3 others! Mind you, we were ready to spend money on a set of 4 and yet they were honest with us unlike the snake oil salesman at Big O. I haven't been to a Big O tire in 15 years and Greg just reminded me why. We won't be going back to this Big O location as we have completely lost faith in their work. We purchased 6 tires, an oil change, an intake cleaning and air filter for our RV. On our first trip out, we had one of the inner tires go completely flat. They had not properly installed the extended valve stems. We were stuck on the side of the road for 6 hours trying to get it fixed. When we took it to the Big O in Cathedral City, CA we also noticed they had not greased the tie rod ends and the installer noticed they had not properly balanced the tires. Super disappointing! I wanted to add the reason we were stuck for 6 hours was because Good Sam Roadside couldn't find a provider. I realize that's another review but I could not find Good Sam on the list. They offer 50% off but you get what you pay for so think twice about getting Good Sam Roadside. read more

I spent nearly $3,000 here last year on tires, alignment, and brakes. Today, I came in for a simple alignment check and tire rotation and was told it would be a long wait due to other work in the shop. When I asked if just a rotation could be done, I was told the same thing or that it would be end of day. As a returning customer, this was disappointing and frustrating. It gave the impression that unless you're spending significant money that day, you're not a priority. Whether this is due to poor scheduling or staffing issues, the experience reflected a lack of customer consideration. Steven the manager is a joke. This location used to be great years ago, not sure what happened? Went in for 4 tires and alignment, ended up needing a strut. Fine replaced the front 2, got the 4 tires and alignment and was told its good to go. As soon as I left the car started shaking at 15 to 45 mph violently. Called down and they said bring it back the next day. I brought it back, they checked the balance, said it was off and it should be fine. Drove it home same thing, shaking 15 to 45 mph, so I called again and was told to bring it back the next day, so I did. This again did nothing and the car still shakes. My car has never shook like this, EVER!. I ENDED up going for 5 DAYS STRAIGHT because they couldnt figure it out on balance only to be told absolutely nothing the last day. The manager Steven is the most shadiest person I have ever spoken too, zero concern, zero accountability zero apologies. I wasted 5 days and still have a problem I never had prior to taking my car there. Save your money and go elsewhere, STEVEN and his team give zero chits about your vehicle and have zero integrity. ZERO STARS! DO NOT take your car to Hunt Hwy Location. I took my car in for an oil change, spark plugs, and fuel system clean. My car started to act up within a week after. I took my car in because it was barely running and they "looked at it" but could not tell me anything wrong except no compression. No one at that store had any clue what was wrong or why I had no compression. They just simply said I need a new engine. Why was the compression not checked at the time of the spark plug maintenance? Make sure that you use a qualified franchise big o tires location.the independent big o stores do not honor coupons or price match with the franchised stores. The fact that we trusted them to do something outside of those two things.... We should have known better. Took the truck back 2 days later, they told me I had a leak and that I will still be charged for the work that was performed. After speaking to the mechanic that did the work, he advised me that it was a slow leak and that they did not notice it before. If I could give 100 stars I would. Jaime and Kyle were patient and tremendously helpful. We had a large leak in our tire and had just waited at walmart for 3 & a half hours just for them to tell us they couldn't take our tire off. We hoped for the best and ran across the street to Big O, it took Jaime and Kyle about 30 mins to get us in and out and on the road! Being it was our moving day this had been a whole ordeal already, Jaime and Kyle saved the day and very much gained our business and we will be purchasing tires from this location from now on. DO NOT BRING ANYTHING HERE! I just had my oil changed at this location after making an appointment 3 days in advance. My appointment time was set for 10 AM finally after 3 hours of waiting for a simple oil change my car was ready. Now speaking with the front desk they estimated my vehicle to be done in 90 min. Once it had reached the hour and half mark I asked the gentleman if my car was ready it replied with "we are just now getting it in." I was now compensated with a free oil change. The next day I noticed a large pool of oil under my car which raised many concerns. I took my vehicle to Valvoline in Queen creek which I highly recommend to have my drain plug checked along with my oil filter to ensure they were tight. MY DRAIN PLUG WAS FINGER LOOSE! The Big O mechanic neglected to even tighten my drain plug with a wrench, ratchet or even a Torque Wrench! The negligence and incompetence in the way they facilitate maintenance is more than unacceptable! If I had driven to work or driven more than the distance from my house to Queen Creek I am positive my drain plug would have fallen out and my engine would have drained all my oil leading to much greater issues. I will be notifying their corporate office of the negligence at this location! read more

I purchased (5) Goodyear Wrangler MTRs along with their "Tire Warranty" on each tire (35X17X12.5). My front right tire pressure light turned on so I took it in to get it inspected for a possible nail. They found a nail close to the side wall, which deemed the tire to be unrepairable resulting in the "Tire Warranty" to be used. I've been dealing with Mike at the front desk and it's been more than 2 months that they can't get me the replacement tire. Big O Tires front desk rep has gone as far as having me call other big o locations to see if they can cover the cost of replacing it so the store doesn't eat the cost. Anyways. Skip this location and find the next closest tire shop. This location will tell you your tire isn't safe to drive, but will let you continue to drive with it even IF you get the warranty. Haven't heard one word from management either on a replacement ETA. Stay safe on the roads and drive past this spot. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. First of all, we took our vehicle for an oil leak. Paid a substantial amount of money for it. Was even told how their practice when they order parts is to charge double. Seems really ethical. I go back a week later, still leaking. Was told it just needed cleaned. Take it back again, still leaking. At this time was told it was due to the lack of job the first guy did. So two more days of having it and fixing it, its still leaking. At this point, we're told it's not their fault and nothing they can do. Somehow this soecific leak was missed not once, twice, or three times, but FOUR TIMES! They're expensive tires ($250/tire) but I thought I was getting some nice quality tires. I'm patient so I tell them it's okay! I have ALL DAY. Two more hours go by, still nothing. No one called me all day, but I'd call and they'd tell me it was going to be ready soon. It was almost 6 pm and they were about to close. At this point I just decided I'd go back there and get my car because I worked early the next morning. They've had my car for almost 7 hours, how much longer could it take? I showed up, and they told me "So we actually don't have the tire you need in stock. We can have you come in tomorrow and get it taken care of." Bro. BRO. BROOO WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE A TIRE? Why did you have my car ALL day and WHY did no one call me to tell me you don't even have the tire in stock? I'm ready to throw hands at this point. It was my only day off so I couldn't bring it in again but I just thought I'd deal with it. Today the tire blew up on me, so I went in and asked if I could get it replaced today. They have no record of me ever being a customer. Yet they've been sending me my bill every single month. Their logo is on all of my tires. But I'm not in their any of their systems. Therefore, I'm not covered under a warranty. I went to Discount and got taken care of immediately. Good quality tires for an amazing price, great customer service, and they even texted me when my car was ready! And it didn't take 7 hours! I should've gone there in the first place. I paid over $1000 for Big O tires just for them to shit on me within 9 months. Big O Brand tires are ass, the customer service sucks a fat one, and they'll lose any record of you in their system once you need to use that "warranty". Big O? More like yo mama a Big HOE. Had my wife's Chrysler 300 oil change done here and they broke the oil filter housing and never took responsibility for it but tried to charge me $800 to replace it. I tried to contact corporate and nothing was done about it they had the store Manager call with the same BS it wasn't us that could've had happen with the oil change. I have a 3 warranty with them ( 6 months left and under mileage) and their manager Jared wouldn't even get off his lazy ass and look at my truck. He had his employee tell me.
