A couple months ago, when I was VERY pregnant, we were told over the phone "Yes, bring your car in" 10 minutes before they closed. I thought, how great, they'll fit us in, I'm so appreciative. But then we got there. There was a line, a HUGE line, and one guy had been there nearly ALL day without much more service than us. We sat there for over an hour. Another woman was there with her two young children. She ended up having to have her husband come get the kids because this guy behind the counter kept telling people "yea, come in" like he had some customer quote to meet for the day. Also, the battery they replaced in my car? It's died only a couple months later. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere. The location in Bloomington was the best so far but unfortunately we won't be returning to Big O anytime soon if we can help it. read more

Tires selected, scheduled drop off set. During drop off we were informed Big O Tires cannot always service or replace tires. Don't let the name fool you I guess? Their machine is broken, no idea on a timeline, just call back later at random times and hope Big O Tires can actually service tires. Was the information that Big O Tires cannot actually service tires provided before the appt time? Nope. Anyway...Firestone is literally two blocks away. I brought my vehicle in to have my power steering checked out (fluid under car, winding, fluid super low upon drop off) and an oil change. I was told "it's probably just the cold weather, but we'll look at it." I stated that the symptoms started before the cold spell and that it's more than the cold temps. A few hours later stating my vehicle "is ready for pick up". I specifically asked about follow up on the power steering and was told "there's nothing on the notes so they must have found no issue". I listed again my concerns but was told again there's nothing they could find. On my next drive i lost my power steering! All the fluid came out, including all that had just been topped off by big o. Later found out it was simply a tube that was loose had caused the leaking and low fluid. By losing all the fluid it caused damage to the pump; now a more expensive repair! Let me say last spring this shop was under a different name and my friend had similar issues (actual PROVEN negligence by mechanics) that later had to be resolved through the district management level. I was hopeful that with the new brand, there would be new direction and perhaps stronger leadership than before. So I gave the new company a shot; boy was i wrong and i regret it. I contacted customer "service" via big o website. After a week with no response i called and filed a complaint and requested follow-up. Still no response. read more

I called and got a quote before bringing my car to have the alignment fixed and to discuss getting new tires. Although they have a "buy two, get two free" special, they ended up quoting me a minimum of $600 for standard tires and then claimed the tie rods were shot, resulting in a $1600 cost quote. Also, the cost for the alignment had increased by $30 from the quote, for the same job. I declined the service and got my car back - the tie rods upon inspection are in perfect shape and don't need replacing. These people just try to swindle you! read more

Can I give more than 5 stars?? Big O saved us twice this weekend, first when my daughter's car battery wouldn't recharge -- they worked us into a busy schedule for a replacement. Then, the next day, as she was leaving to drive back to college in Illinois, she heard a strange sound and felt a brake shimmy. Of course we needed to make sure there wasn't a safety issue. We called Big O again because they had been so kind the first time. The mechanics stayed late to give the car a thorough check. My daughter made it back to school safely and I thank Big O for helping her not miss her first day of Winter Quarter tomorrow. read more

After unsuccessfully exhausting all options with Big O, I posted my initial Yelp review on May 15, 2018. The same day I filed a complaint with the Mn/South Dakota Better Business Bureau. Today, nearly four months later, I was notified by the BBB that Big O failed to respond to their four attempts to resolve my situation. The BBB did successfully verify that they were using the proper means to contact owner Mark Rhee's tire chain regarding my complaint. Beware of scam... got my oil changed here, tires rotated and I needed my front driver side tire repaired. I have a five year alignment plan, so I wanted that done at the same time. They never called me when it was done and when I called the next day they said it was ready. When I got there sean brown had to run and check the mileage before giving me the keys. When I got in my car it was showing tire low. I went back in and he wanted me to pull up to the door to fill them up. As he was checking them the front driver side tire he said they repaired it but it was showing 15 psi. First of all the tires where supposed to be rotated. Second I find out the alignment machine was broken from another tech. The sticker in side the car wasn't changed and the windshield washer fluid was empty. So I don't even believe they did my oil change. I'm bringing to the another shop to get everything done they didn't do and to check to see if the oil was even changed. read more

I brought my car in for two reasons: I needed a new lightbulb in one headlight and an oil change. I brought it in for my appointment and waited two-and-a-half hours. They were totally unapologetic about the wait. They finally told me my car was "all done." I paid, the guy handed me the keys, and as I was about to walk out I asked a question about the headlight. The employee casually told me that he decided not to change the lightbulb in the headlight because he thought it looked corroded. Apparently he wasn't even going to tell me this if I hadn't asked. I sat around for 2.5 hours, had to ask my spouse to get the kid because I was going to miss daycare pickup by waiting so long, and now I still have to make an appointment somewhere else to get the headlight fixed. read more

You. Guys. I just cannot with this spot. Every time I come in and wait for a tire rotation, here now 50 minutes into my 11:30-12:30 tire rotation appointment that I made a week ago, and my car still sits in the parking lot. This is the third time this has happened? Not to mention not having tires filled to appropriate PSI on my first time in. This place also has no notes on when my last tire rotation was, I believe it was in June, because they didn't give me a sticker for when my next rotation should be, but it has been at least 4.5k miles ago and the guy went to far as to tell me that I didn't need a rotation today. Last time I made an appointment online, it was confirmed, I came in and sat for 15 minutes before I was told they were running behind and had me reschedule for next week. I just. Whew, I wish I didn't have a credit card for this spot for tires, following up for rotations isn't worth it. I don't know how their other locations run, but this has been really disappointing. Came in for an oil change. After 15 minutes the Manager came up to me asked if he could show me some issues I might want to address. He took me back into the shop and showed me my right front tire has cords exposed on the inner shoulder. The tires looked fine on the outside, would have never known if they didn't look. They had a buy 3 get 4th free sale going on, I didn't need a coupon. Got 4 tires an alignment & my oil change in less than an hour. They were busy but got me out fast.
