I took a tire in for a needed patch. Was told that it couldn't be patched and that I needed two other tires too. So far, those things may or may not have been true. But after receiving an estimate, I decided to price check other places. I found another place with a lower price. Big O got my car out of the garage and I left, driving on my spare tire. The other place was 15 miles across town. When I got there, we discovered that the rim of the tire Big O had inspected wasn't put back in my car. I called Big O to confirm that it was there. There wasn't an ounce of an apology from them in the phone call. They weren't rude, but they didn't seem to care at all. No shock or surprise either. It sounded like an everyday thing around there. Drove all the way back and walked in. They grabbed the rim and put it in my car. Again, not a single apology, nothing said to make it right. A 30 mile round trip to get my rim and they couldn't even say one single apology. I won't be back. read more

People please, please avoid going to Big O tires in the FH. I took my car in to the Ford dealer because I was hearing a noise coming from the wheels. $80 later I was informed that the tires I had purchased at Big O a year and a half ago were all cupping and that's what was causing the noise. I took my car to Big O in the FH where I purchased them, and they informed me that they were not going to honor the warranty on the tires because I couldn't show proof that I had the tires rotated. I told him that I rotated the tires at my Brother's house who has a lift and they said that wasn't good enough. I spoke with the Owner JJ who rudely said the only thing that would cause this cupping was not rotating the tires or bad shocks and they would not honor the warranty on the tires. When I told him that Ford said the tires were bad he got upset and kept repeating himself. I went to pick up my car and was informed by the employee Juan Padilla that I had to sign a document before he would give me my car back. I also asked him if he had rotated the tires and he said no, that they don't rotate tires that are cupping. He also said that on the back of my original invoice was all the exclusions. When I showed the original invoice that had nothing on the back pages to Juan he said he didn't want to talk about it. He then conveyed to me that I had told his boss to F Off. I informed him that I would never have said that and he told me I was not going to get my keys until I signed. I called the YCSO and they never showed up. Then JJ the owner showed up and I asked him why he would tell his employee that I had told him to F off and he said he didn't tell him that. Anyway, in order to get out of the place I finally signed the invoice. The YCSO never contacted me and it was almost 6PM. (YCSO contacted me @ 6:20pm.) Last year while travelling in my RV pulling my Suzuki SUV in Utah, I noticed a huge puddle under the front of my Suzuki. Thankfully I was right next door to a Big O tire store. The people there were great and diagnosed the problem that the axle that I had just replaced at the Foothills Big O was not properly installed and was about to fall out. Wow, I was sure glad I noticed the front differential leaking. Could you imagine what would have happened if the axle had fallen off? Which it was just about to happen. The total bill over $800 was covered by Big O because they said it was improperly installed. When I returned to Yuma the Owner of the Foothills Big O didn't want to talk to me about it. I have 4 vehicles and have always bought my tires and had all my cars serviced at Big O Tire. I have always defended the company because I figured that things happen and have had good service at other Big O tire shops. I have never in my life been treated in such a manner as today. This was it for me, I should have listened to all the other folks that have had terrible experiences with JJ and Big O Tire. Please take your vehicles to some other tire store in Yuma. This place is Bad!! So now I have to replace all my tires with less that 18K miles. Don't believe it when they want to shove a warranty down your throat or give you 4 tires for the price of 3! read more

Even despite the reviews here on Yelp, I decided to give Big O Tires a chance to prove themselves. But they failed miserably. First off when my grandmother and daughter came in to have (4) tires replaced my daughter was told to take my grandmother home and come back with the car. My daughter doesn't have her license yet. So right off the top when my daughter told me this I thought why would my daughter need to come back alone except that they were going to feed her some BS line about what needed to be replaced. I was quoted online for (4) tires at $220 and my daughter ended up paying over $400. Now I do understand that this was an estimated price and knew that there would be additional costs but $200 additional, come on Big O Tires these tires were for an 80-year old retired nurse and her great-grandaughter who is also a nurse. Your service personnel then proceeded to tell her she needed new struts quoted at $1800. The car is 2003 and pretty sure the new struts are more than what the car is worth. However, my husband who is a mechanic checked the struts and they are fine. Like I said miserable fail on Big O Tires and I will take my business somewhere else. read more

I had a feeling that I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I called in to find out if I needed to make an appointment or if there was a preferred time for me to come in, part of their greeting was asking who they were speaking to. I told them my name and they said I could come right in. About 30 min later I walked in and they remembered me by name from the phone call earlier. They got my car back quickly and turns out I had run over a nail. They were all so friendly and got me fixed right up! Really appreciate them getting it taken care of so quickly! They give you warranty on expensive tires, but can't replace them when damaged by their OWN staff .. They robbed your money and taken advantage . What's the purpose of warranty if it can't be replace. Customer service is terrible by their management very unprofessional " maybe your childhood kids are tampering with your tire" when I live in the foothills with elderly people!!!?? They don't care for the safety of their clients families on the road . Sadly terrible I had to go to discount tire they took care of the issue. I took my car here for a flat tire repair with a screw in it, and to have the repaired tire put back on. I was NOT happy with the service I received and I will NEVER go back. I came in the first day with the flat already off my car and the spare on, just dropping off the tire to be fixed. When I pulled up, a man who I presumed worked there, came to meet me outside. This seemed like a nice courtesy and it is what I know other places to do - but he didn't even identify himself as working at Big O, wasn't wearing any type of company uniform, or name tag. I let him know what I wanted done, and he said okay and went to get my tire out of my trunk for me - again, gentlemanly, but he still hadn't even verified that he worked for the company, how much it cost, how long it would take, or even take down my information so I could retrieve my own tire when I came to pick it up. I had to insist on going inside and having him write me up a service ticket. If I hadn't, he would have just taken my tire into the shop with no information attached to it. That was fishy. After finally getting inside and having him (reluctantly) enter my information into the system, I also had to convince him to print me out a copy of the service order/receipt so I also had proof that I had dropped off a tire and wheel. They did have the tire repaired pretty quickly. Within a few hours they had already called me and let me know my tire was ready for pickup. I wasn't planning on it being ready that quickly, given the service I received when I dropped it off, and hadn't made time to pick it up that day. The next morning I went to go pick up my tire and have them mount it back on my car for me. I would have done it myself but it was 120 degrees outside, I was already there, and I just wasn't in the mood! So they take my car in the shop to put the repaired tire on. Note I have a newer Mercedes... I'm not sure if this had anything to do with their actions... But it took a long time for them to get the tire back on. I always keep an eye on my car when it's in a garage like a hawk - I used to work in a garage, I know what really goes on. The guy FINALLY gets done and takes my car on an unnecessarily long "test run" down the street with my newly mounted tire - I didn't like that at all. And I'm pretty sure a 7-10 minute test drive for one fixed flat isn't standard, I can bet on it. Anyway, I pay and go outside to finally be done with this place, and the last straw happened that makes me seethe at this place every time I drive by now. I did a walk around of my tires to make sure everything was okay before driving off - and it wasn't. I had SPECIFICALLY checked all four of my tires and wheels immediately before I let my car drive into that garage. My car had special green valve stem covers that specify they were and should be filled with nitrogen. And not the cheap plastic ones or ones you can get online, but the ones that came from Mercedes. They were ALL on there when my car drove through those shop doors. When I got my car back, it had all black plastic caps on. I was LIVID! I called out the manager or whoever he was (he still hadn't specified who or what position he was but he seemed like a manager) and asked where my caps were. He called out the guy who worked on my car, and he played dumb. Yes they were just valve stem covers, but they were expensive and they were MINE! And he took them off and either misplaced them and hoped I wouldn't notice the cheap black plastic replacements, or he stole them because he knew you can't just buy those. Either way he didn't admit what had happened, he stuck to his story and said my car came in there without any caps and he thought he was being nice giving me the plastics ones. LIAR. I was so mad and knew there was nothing I could do about it, and I just wanted to get me and my car out of there. The manager guy knew something bad had just happened on their end and offered to order me new ones, but I wanted nothing to do with that company ever again. He even did follow through and call me when replacement ones came in but I never went back. If I can't trust that place not to lose or steal (I'll never know which happened) my VALAVE STEM CAPS and not lie about it, I will definitely never trust them with any other part of my vehicle again. read more

Well I got up at 7:30 on Saturday morning to fine a place to service my trailer? Good luck! Not tires, but bearings or hubs on a boat trailer? Had a noise in my jeep that I thought might be warn brake pads. $1000 later I had new front brakes and was told that the rear brakes were fine. Still had noise coming from the front brakes so I took it back to Big O under warranty. I made an appointment for them to check it out while I waited. Two hours later my jeep was still parked at the entrance to one of the service bays. I was told that the tech drove the jeep and did not hear the noise. (I watched it be driven from the front of the store to the service bay--great test drive). As it would be another hour or so before it could actually be looked at, and the fact that the service guy then tried to say that the noise was probably from the rear (which 2 weeks prior was okay), I took the jeep home. This is the most disorganized and possibly dishonest operations I have ever seen, partly due to the volume of customers. Still chasing the noise. read more

The service was great, but my complaint is there are customers who been sitting for up to a couple hours waiting while work is being done to they're cars, and need to use the rest room and being told their rest rooms are closed to the public, but can go to the business next door because theirs is open to the public, this seems unreasonable to have customer's leave to another business to use the rest room. read more

In the evening of 2/26, I had a routine oil change and 4 wheel alignment check completed at Big O. The following day my check engine light, vehicle stability control system light, and check charging system light all came on (which had never happened before). I called Big O and spoke with the "manager" who advised me that the services provided would have nothing to do with the lights mentioned and it must've been coincidental. Still, I requested my car be evaluated to ensure there was no issue with the work that had been done the previous day. I was told they would not see my car that day, that they only had 1 mechanic and did not have the time. I was advised to take my car elsewhere for evaluation if I felt it needed done that day. As a healthcare provider who provides home visits using my personal vehicle, it is of the utmost importance that I have a reliable vehicle to get me from place to place. I proceeded to take my vehicle to another service garage who advised me that the vent hose from the intake assay was found to be out-of-position, something that would only happen if someone had access under the hood. As I suspected, it was right next to the oil and various filters that were checked, and was simply not reconnected properly. Due to the exposure of the air flow circuit and fuel system to the elements here in the desert, I agreed to proceed with a fuel injection flush to protect the system. After the diagnostic, fuel injection was complete, vent hose reinstalled, codes all cleared, etc., my end bill was $373.14 - all from a mistake made during a $70.96 oil change. I again reached out to the general manager of Big O to discuss the case, and was told it was "my decision" to take the car elsewhere to have looked at, therefore he was not going to be held responsible for any costs incurred, nor was he willing to refund the cost of the original oil change. When I asked for contact information for someone above him, I was denied that information. read more

Came in for an alignment and they told me my shock absorbers were leaking so I had them replace those as well as reset my tire pressure sensor. Bottom line is I keep a good eye on my car and they caught something I missed and saved me a lot of money by fixing it before it broke and took a lot of other things with it. Customer service is fantastic I never wait to be seen and they even shopped around town to find the best price on my parts. I am very disappointed in the service I received. I think they took advantage of a handicapped out of state person. It cost me $1,400.00 for rear brakes and shocks. I went in for a tire to be patched. They said they could not patch it. Then they wouldn't replace just one tire they said because it was an all wheel drive car that all four tires needed to be replaced. The tires that were on the car were only 4 months old. So I went ahead and had them change the tires. It took them 5 hours so I left the car over night. The next morning I picked up the car and the tires felt like they were unbalanced and the steering wheel was shaking. I called to have them rebalanced and they said it was gonna be about three days before they could get me an appointment. Went to discount tire and had them balanced in about 30 minutes. read more

Arrived prior to opening and the mechanic let me know he'd take care of me right away and it was a good thing I was there early because all the OLD people show up and waste everyone's time. I would not advise anyone to buy tires t Big O in the Yuma Foothills. I purchased four top of the line Michelin tires there last year. Service was horrible. This year I came back because a valve was leaking. They had installed flexible valve extensions and one of them had come loose between the tandem tires and damaged both tires. They tried to tell me that they don't use flexible valve extensions. No one else touched those tires since they were put on by Big O. They had no tires to replace them with. I had to stay 4 extra days to wait for new tires. I asked for an appointment on Monday morning. They didn't honor that. Still waiting to have tires put on. ... read more

10 months ago, while still living in Yuma, we had new struts installed at this location. Last month after taking the same car in to the Palm Springs Big O for new tires we were advised that we had paid double the standard rate for the service done in Yuma and had paid twice the price for the sams tires that we purchased from the Yuma store in 2016. But reall upsets me is that we took the car into the local Dodge dealership yesterday for a rattle in the front end and learned that the struts that were installed 10 months ago were dangerously loose. Hard to believe that struts could come loose in just 10 months when the old struts had never given us a problem in the ten years we had owned the car. read more

Headed to Glamis for the weekend and had a blow out on the trailer 75 miles outside of Yuma. My husband frantically called and no one was willing or able to help us. We originally bought the tires from Big O in Mesa so he called the Yuma store. From the beginning they were eager to help and wanted to get us back on the road as quickly as they could. We drove in they had both tires (noticed another one about to go) ready in less than an hour. They were even kind enough to find us a spare wheel so we wouldn't get stranded again. I finally had to get new tires when my vehicle began to wobble. I had been putting other issues off as well. So, I went to the closest place where I could get tires and an alignment. I called when they opened and they said that I could stop by and get a free alignment check. Long story short, I had all my issues of which I knew of and some that I didn't taken care of in one stop. They even took time to show me the faults of which needed repaired and gave me very quick estimates. The price was very fair for the amount of work that my vehicle needed done. read more

My wife was stranded in Yuma while driving home to Gilbert AZ she had picked up a screw in the tire and it had went flat. She managed to make it to Big o tires on frontage rd in Yuma. I had told her to just have them put the spare on it and I would take the flat to our tire shop at home later. They said that it would be at least an hour wait so she said fine had no other choice. While waiting to have this done 2 other male customers came roughly 15 minutes after her with the same problem and no appointment and what do you know they immediately put his truck in the bay and started fixing it. My wife saw this happen and over heard the conversation. So here being upset as she should have been asked why this is happening and Big O made excuses to make it right. I cannot believe how in todays day and age that people still treat women like this it is unacceptable they deserve as much respect as a man gets and it should not be because of what is in your pants that gets the job done or not. As it is they finished the guys vehicles and they were gone. I took almost an hour to finish helping my wife. This job only takes about 10m minutes with their equipment and I can do it in fifteen with what is in the truck. How come it always seems that auto mechanics think it is right to over charge or screw over a lady because they think they don't know what is happening or how to know they are being fed a load of bullshit. Start treating women the same. My wife deserves that respect and will get it. Moral of the story Big O tires caters to men and will bypass a waiting women to help another man first. that's a discrace. read more

JJ is the worst "manager" I've ever seen handle customer situations. Ive taken my vehicles there for years and never had issues until i saw JJ at two separate times deal with customers who were upset. I always wait there when my truck is being worked on so I observe a lot when I'm there. I've witnessed him degrade customers and argue with them not ever to resolve their issue. One of the issues seemed to be pretty simple but his ego seemed to get the best of him instead. I've had an issue and the ther employees were nice about it and cleared it up. I'm happy to say I didn't have to deal with JJ and if I did i would never allow him to speak to me the way he has to other customers. Big O in the Foothills good luck with business at your location because it's going downhill FAST because of JJ. I see why the turnover there is so high. I hope the owners either train him correctly or get rid of him. Never going back there until he is gone. read more

Originally pulled in to have some tires mounted and dismounted on my Polaris Rzr. "JJ" Vanbuskirk told me about a big sale coming in about a week in case I needed any tires for my Chev truck. As it turns out it was time for some tires. Now normally I do business with Discount Tire, have for years, but this Big O is much closer and this more convenient so I decided to give then a try. They did an excellent job and due to the sale, I saved over $200.00 on the same tires I'd purchased from Discount two years ago. All in all they did great work at a great price. They got the truck back to me in timely fashion and the work was done right (I used to be in the business so I'm a tough customer). I'll definitely go back as other tire and mechanical needs arise. read more

Went in because I needed a spark plug or harness replacement because of original materials used during a tune up were faulty(From this Store). Called prior to visit talked to a technician named Ian, he stated it was warranty work, additionally talked to the "manager" Micky and said to come in the next day, January 11th, 2018, and ask for either one of them at 0900. At 0900, we were there and no Micky there and Ian passed the truck of to someone else. The truck wasn't even looked at until 1030. Not surprisingly, during the wait other customers said their work was questionable. After 45 minutes a technician comes back and says I need a tune up. I just had a tune up by Big O Tires, that's why I was there! When I told him that he acted like a child caught in a lie. After informing him why I was there he went back to the truck and replaced a spark plug and was checking out in 20 minutes. The receipt stated that technician and "Bobby" test drove it. So in theory, the spark plug that was replaced took 20 minutes. That's pretty fast plus they test drove it. It took another 20 minutes just to check out. Once I'm finally on the road I noticed a wheel seems to be wobbling now. I'm really afraid to go back to this Yuma Foothills store and even mention they did something extra horrible. My truck has driven terribly every since I let them touch it and they have a bad habit of trying to do unnecessary work. Maybe they should stick with tires. So now I have questionable warranty work and my vehicle has a wobbly tire. What do I do now? I'm not made of money, but if I don't do something about my wheel a horrible catastrophe could result to not only my truck but me as well. Buyers beware, if you don't know much about vehicles you may be paying more than you bargained for. Update as of February 12th, 2018. I did call the number listed which is the shop number(Response via Google). I was not given the opportunity to talk to the owners as they suggest. The "new" manager Ian and I had several lively conversations about what to do with my truck that shakes violently and has a check engine light on. The last time I talked to him on the 6th he still had no answer to my issue and suggested I pay him more money to fix it. Then it got really interesting, he said he had to switch phones. After about 5 minutes, Ian said its not Big O Tires' responsibility and I'm on my own. Why did he have to switch phones for that? I called corporate the next day at 866-834-2652 of which I was given a reference number and a name. I was supposed to he contacted by this man but as of today I haven't . Today, I recalled corporate 1340 Arizona time, and it was relayed to me I will get a phone call this week. About 2 hours later my truck started convulsing for lack of a better word. I drove to Ford's service center reluctantly because they tend to be higher prices but they do good work. 450 bucks later and a bunch of parts Big O Tires put on my truck in the first place. Still have a vibration but the immediate danger is gone now. read more

Well I go into the big o tires on frontage rd around 3:30 on 8/3/16. They quoted me at a price I gave them a counter offer and they did help me out on that really nice customer service. So I let them put on the parts and do the alignment in which case they side it before 5:30 that same day. I go in there and pay then drive away but my truck ISNT aligned its even worse then it was. So I go back in there the following day around 9:30 am they tell me no problem. We can fix this were big o tires a corporation mind u that specializes in tires and alignment. Anyways 4 HOURS go by then they tell me I have to take it to the other big-o tires on pacific. BECAUSE there alinement guy is better over there at that store. Which dumbfounds me because why are u guys offer alignments if ur alinement guy is GARBAGE. Anyways take it over to there other store. Then they try and align it the guy says its good when I'm sitting right next to him as I see the truck pulling. No its pulling and not aligned so they mess with it some more and switch my tires around then that wasn't the problem so I was done with them and wanted my money back for the alinement. So the ask me if I wanted the tires back the way I had them. I said duh I want them back the way I had them COMMON SENSE. Were talking about getting my money back for 30 minutes they were trying to make me just leave without switching my tires. I go out there and I look still not changed didn't move the tires back had to freak out on TONY to get my tires back how they were. THE DUMBEST thing ever cause I had to be micro manage these guys to put my tires back on. I had know trust with these guys after that. I finally got out of there by 5:45 pm mind u I started at 9.30 am HORRIABLE SERVICE DONT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT ALIGNMENTS. THANKS KENNY read more
