I must say that this venue is my favorite spot to see and hear live music. I've been so very fortunate to have experienced 10 or so CD 102.5 Big Room shows and have never been disappointed. The station is able to pull in a wide range of alternative acts from all over the world who are often playing large venues later that night. Typically artists play 3 to 4 songs while interacting with the DJ in between. During those exchanges you get to learn new & often pretty funny things about the artist that you might not learn elsewhere. All the performances that I have seen, the artists have appeared so comfortable and engaged with the small number of people present. The Big Room shows look like they are set to hold about 35 people which only adds to the intimacy of the overall experience. While never guaranteed, as the artists may not always be able, I've had the good fortune to meet so many fantastic artists... Matisyahu; Elle King; Leon Bridges; Welles; Flora Cash; Strumbellas. I have seen attendees bring with them albums, shirts, or other materials in hopes of obtaining autographs. I was fortunate to have met the artists every time & they are experiences that I will treasure.

Finally, Yelp! I've been raring to get here since they announced the opening. Got seats at the bar during the last quarter of the OSU game, picked from the hefty draft beer list, and settled in. They have make your own Falter's hot dogs, grilled cheese and French fries, a la Happy Dog or Condado. I loved mine: hot dog with red onions, carrot slaw, and stoneground mustard paired with fries slathered in ketchup and awesome wasabi mayonnaise. Get the wasabi mayo. The crowd here were not necessarily neighborhood (we hung in with a guy who lives a few blocks from us in Beechwold), but they and the staff were super friendly and of course, the music was choice. Can't wait to make this another other bar away from home.

MoJoFlo, Colombus' hottest band, performing live and On The Air!

I've been there twice to watch live performances, but I really didn't have anything beyond the tacos. They were decent, as I would expect 'bar' tacos to taste. Another good place for cozy concerts.

Antiques on High was one of our favorite brewery stops during this trip…read more When I first suggested stopping at Antiques on High, my significant other kept saying he didn't want to go antique shopping. Once he realized it was actually a brewery, he was all in! The brewery has a great atmosphere, and the bartender was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Since we've been visiting several breweries during our getaway, they even gave us a Seventh Son passport, which was a nice surprise and a fun way to continue exploring the local brewery scene. I ordered the Wild & Sour flight and really enjoyed it. It was a great way to sample a variety of unique flavors, and each pour showcased the creativity and quality that Antiques on High is known for. Between the excellent beer selection, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a brewery I'd recommend to anyone visiting the area. Looking forward to stopping back again!

I went again for a Book Bar event held upstairs and the bartender was not nice to me. I used my one drink ticket and chose not to see her again. I stopped in recently because I had time to kill in the area. I sat at the bar and another female bartender took my order. We had to duck down to talk under the taps. Since it wasn't a weeknight happy hour, I paid $12 for a glass of a wine. I was going to tip her but she walked away and I didn't see her again before I left. I did see grumpy bartender, but I didn't order again.

Very much tasting, not necessarily to get full *Service: Friendly, attentive, but not hovering *Ambiance: Clean, quite during happy hour, however, starts to fill up as the evening continues. * Menu: Limited happy hour menu, don't expect a full menu, but what they offer is done well Must Order: * Sticky Roasted Carrots. I don't like carrots and I couldn't stop grabbing a piece Drinks: * The Sycamore Old Fashion... very strong, but I like strong drinks Cost: $33 w/o tip | $44 with tip (split between 2 people) * What we ordered: Sticky carrots Meze Scallops (not on happy hour menu) The Sycamore Old Fashion Italian 90 *Comes with complimentary bread. Also, gluten free options* Best for: Casual check in Low key date maybe if you work near German Village. Traffic during happy hour is a bit backed up I wouldn't go for solo dining, unless I sat outside during warmer weather. However, the feeling is best for a quick get together with 1-2 friends. Would I come back? ... Yes! Definitely for Happy Hour.

It was the perfect spot for a relaxed, drawn-out dinner where we could enjoy drinks, take our time, and really soak it all in. We had a reservation and were seated right away, which set the tone for the night. Everyone ordered cocktails (I've heard the espresso martini is one of their best, even though coffee isn't really my thing), and honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the drink menu. We started with the Meze, which included house-made falafel, tzatziki, hummus, sun-dried tomato couscous, assorted vegetables, and naan--everything was fresh and so flavorful. They also brought out complimentary focaccia right away, which was such a nice touch. For my main, I ordered the seasonal scallops, and I also tried the chicken thighs with fig, goat cheese, asparagus, parmigiano reggiano, and couscous--both were absolutely amazing. I'd go back in a heartbeat just to try more of the menu. We were there for about 2-3 hours, and at no point did we feel rushed or like we were inconveniencing the staff. The entire experience felt thoughtful, welcoming, and just really special. Highly recommend The Sycamore for your next date night or girls' dinner!
