I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants. Not everyone in the restaurant treated them with the respect and gratitude they deserve. Here's the detail of our order from their menu. Cannot say enough how much I love this place!! Got sat right away, the host was so friendly and asked how my day was. Our server Mariah came to me right away and I have never met someone so friendly and smiley!! You literally cannot help but smile when she talks to you. Mariah had amazing drink and starter recommendations. I had the fried mozzarella (heart eyes- literally so delicious) and Timothy the bartender made me the most delicious drink i've ever had- the big view punch!! I will definitely be back with my friends for a round of drinks!! Mariah served us our food quickly and it was DELICIOUS (I had the pot pie which is my personal favorite). Luckily I saw those desserts on the way to my seat and saved room for my new favorite thing in the world: bread pudding. Every single dessert looked mouth watering, I can't wait to try it all!! The manager was walking around and checked on our table, making sure our food was good and making sure our experience was amazing, which is such a nice touch!! I visited Big View Diner today with my family in search of an affordable dining experience with family. I was giving exactly that and more. LeAnn was our server and she confidently guided us thru the menu recommending a variety of options that a few members took with excitment. The French toast she spoke about with strawberries and whipped cream was exactly like she described. A slice of heaven! I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends,family and co-workers as well as our server. LeAnn was very professional, attentive, knowledgeable and had our crowd laughing a few times. Today we went to have Thanksgiving dinner. I'm always a little concerned if the turkey is going to be Dry.What about the stuffing? Some people just don't know how to make it. Well let me tell you, if you ever get a chance to go to the big view diner you won't be disappointed. I arrived before my guests and asked the server if he could bring me a little turkey to taste just to see if I would order it. You can go in and have typical diner fare (and service!) or you can take a closer look at the menu and find some real gems (balsamic Salmon, pork chop, chicken & waffles, etc.). We just moved to the area. Horrible!! They only have two servers. We have been waiting for over 40 mins. They had tables open but were told repeatedly they could not sit us there. However, if you have no child they can. That's discrimination!!! Children are people as well. My 11 year old eats an adult meal and we are not receiving a discount. Holy cow! Just had breakfast there and the prices went way up ($45.00 for breakfast for two people)…read moreand the portion sizes went way down. Also, they have the worst tasting coffee we've ever had. Very dark (like mud) and bitter. Will not be going back.
