Stopped by this place on the way down the Jersey shore. This sub shop offers a wide variety of sandwiches at a very good price point. The staff is friendly and service is quick. This place is cash only and there is no dining area. I highly recommend the lumberjack with pepper relish. So good!

Awesome little sub shop! First time going here but it definitely seems like it's a staple in town! Small spot with a lot to choose from. There's no seating inside and it's cash only but the amount of special sandwich options they have are endless. You get a lot of food for a really good price too, I got a half of a linsanity which is a grilled chicken sub with bacon and a drink for $10. So much flavor in the chicken and great size sub. The lettuce, tomato & onion on it also seemed very fresh. Quick service too, I walked in and placed my order that was for a grilled chicken (not a deli meat sub you can pump out quick) and it was ready in a few minutes. They also have homemade noodle salad, potato salad and coleslaw as well as homemade desserts like brownies and banana bread. Super friendly employees, definitely would recommend stopping in for a sub or grabbing a bunch of food for a party or day at the beach.

Pastrami & I believe Sanchez turkey? Delicious with all the fixings. I know how to order a great sandwich

Easily the best sandwich shop in town. If you visit make sure to try either The King or The Buffalo Shemanheimer. Both are seriously delicious. Edit: I'm back, & this is also the best RUBEN in town. Like how they make theirs is ridiculously good. I always order mine with pickle & provolone & it's just ...

I've lived in the area for many years and I've never heard of Big Wally's until I saw it featured as the #1 sandwich place in the country in an online article - I don't remember which one it was, but I knew I had to come check it out. My first experience lived up to the hype! Two things that stand out are the extremely extensive menu with every combination imaginable, and the fact that it's cash only. Bring cash, there is no ATM. The number of options on the menu is amazing, but it left me with choice paralysis! I wanted to try one of everything but eventually settled on the Birdman. Chicken cheesesteak, pork roll, pepperjack cheese, peppers, onions, and honey mustard. It was so, so good, lots of great flavors! Plenty of honey mustard but not too much so it didn't get soggy. It was busy on a Friday lunch hour but my food came out in ten minutes. The staff was friendly and had a certain old school Jersey charm. The price as very reasonable, too, 9 bucks even. I'll definitely be coming back to try more.

Big Wally's was an interesting experience. There are so many subs to choose from! My husband got the Buffalo Sheneineheimer and I got the Appetizer. We saw the great reviews so wanted to visit. The reason for the 3 stars is as follows: the bread is the type of cheap bread you get from an Italian take out place. When you use bad bread for sandwiches, it ruins the whole taste. In my sub, it was grilled chicken, prosciutto, Asiago cheese, and roasted peppers on garlic bread. After the great reviews, I was very excited for this sandwich. However, I was disappointed. The grilled chicken and prosciutto were chopped up and mixed together in the sandwich. I was expecting nice chicken cutlets and slices of prosciutto. Very disappointed. Also, you could barely taste the garlic bread. As for my husband's sub, he enjoyed it. But it did taste like cheap chicken meat in a saucy blue cheese. Probably skip this place next time.

Always fresh always full and glad they are located next to my cloths house. Will definitely be coming back. Even their Brenda's m breakfast sandwiches are good

Because of Big Wallys I can never go to another sub shop. It's too good. I grew up in the neighborhood across from this family owned business and I never had a bad experience! During this time, they closed the inside of their store and are now bringing orders to your car so make sure you call your order ahead! My order took about 25 minutes. I've had quite a few subs from their menu, here are a few of my favs: - club sub (with provolone. Can't go wrong with a classic) - juicy lucy - poore boy - grilled chicken pesto (or prince pesto with eggplant) Try something different than your typical ham & cheese at this place. You won't regret it! Any sandwich is great with hot sauce. And the bread is always soft and fresh. They have plenty of unique add ons like .75 brownies, salads, chips or sodas to choose from. The options are displayed in their window. Enjoy!

My daughter ordered the Buffalo Chicken & Blue Cheese stir-fry (I thought it sounded crazy... until I tried it ), and I went with the Garlic Butter Chicken: fresh egg white noodles, roasted chicken, snow peas, scallions, mushrooms, toasted sesame seeds, chili crisps, and garlic butter sauce... AHHHmazing! When you're looking for a healthier meal that's loaded with protein and actually tastes indulgent, this is definitely worth adding to your list.

I had the build your own bowl with noodles and shrimp and spinach and scallions and pineapple and a sauce that tasted like pure heaven! Although it was very busy there were clean tables for us to sit and they also have a lovely outdoor space for when the weather is nice (it was nice last night and the tables outside were full) The only thing that bothered me was I was not able to leave a tip after paying at the screens. I found that odd in today's market. EVERYONE wants a tip. What I was told by the woman in the collared shirt who brought us our food was "The only tip you need to leave us is a review online if you enjoy your time at Honey grown" I wish employees had name tags but she's about my age (mid to late 40's and that's all I will admit to!) with a hat on over her pony tail and she had some tattoos on her arm. It was very nice of her to bring us our food when they were so obviously busy. May I suggest Honey grown supply name tags so we know who we are talking to without asking? It takes a lot to shock this gal and shocked I was! To turn down cold hard cash for a review is something you don't see every day. Bravo! There was also a handsome young man at the counter who was putting food on trays and in bags who deserves some recognition. He had so many bags and trays lined up and he didn't break his stride! Actually, they all deserve some recognition! I believe there were 4 or 5 young men cooking the food at the same time in big pans over what seemed to be fire pits and everyone was focused on their work. I didn't see anyone on a cell phone or standing around doing nothing and what a sight that is to see! I was truly impressed. Honey grown must be very picky when hiring staff. I got home from a church concert too late last night to write this review so here I am this morning. The only reminder I needed to write this review was the adorable little box of leftovers in my ice box! I wonder if it's appropriate to have stir fry for breakfast? If more restaurants adopted the attitude that positive feedback is worth more than dollar bills then less restaurants would be closing! I'm coming back either this evening or lunchtime tomorrow with my lady friends from church and will be sure to leave a tip at the screens! Did I mention the screens? That was my only hesitation when arriving. I prefer placing my order with a living breathing human being but I will accept Honey growns method of doing things simply because the restaurant staff still interacts with the people. Myself being one of those people. Looking forward to seeing you all this evening or tomorrow! Thank you Honey grown! Sincerely and uniquely me, Monique Influencer of influencers! Queen of all queens!
