This was by far my worst experience with this restaurant ever. We have been patrons of other locations and the others were excellent. When we first walked in we had to wait to be seated. We were not greeted by the hostess but instead she did other work, sat another family, and after being at the stand for several minutes without a word or acknowledgement she sat us. The restaurant was less than half full. We arrived a little after 2pm. Once we were sat we waited over 10 minutes to have someone greet our table and take a drink order. Therefore when Madysn finally arrived we put in our entire order. We were informed there was no salad and no cheese sauce for the cheesy bread. It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks and when they arrived they were wrong. After quite sometime we were informed that the wings we ordered they were also out of and then we saw an order come out of the kitchen and go to another table. When I saw this I assumed they got the last order but then our server came out with another order so I asked her where those were going since she told us they didn't have anymore. She was going to deliver them to a table that didn't order them only to come back and inform us of that and then dropped them off when she dropped off our cheese bread. We ordered ranch and buffalo with them and we didn't receive the ranch or the marinara until we asked her for it. The wings were cold. We got one refill of our drink the entire time. The glasses didn't have enough ice in them and so our tea, while it was fresh, was warm. Napkins and plates weren't delivered until right before our food was. We had to ask for Parmesan cheese sprinkles and red pepper flake. I don't know why these aren't kept on the table. The Parmesan lid wouldn't fit the container properly so we had to hold it on while in use. The second cheese bread also came out without the sauce we ordered with it. We were charged for a topping we didn't order on our pizza. Then we were informed they were also out of grilled chicken. Our pizza was also cold. The cheese bread relied on the sauce for flavor. I understand being short staffed but our server would disappear for long amounts of time while we saw the other two servers working really hard. Also when a restaurant is out of half the menu it really dampens the experience. We certainly won't be back. read more

First time here, but have been to their other locations in Nashville. Enjoyed their mojito and split a 10" smokehouse on a hand-tossed crust. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. I've eaten at this Big Woods multiple times and have always come away feeling full and satisfied! The sandwiches are great with my personal favorite being the bacon chicken ranch panini. Their pizzas are fresh and flavorful. Service has always been good as well. It is an ideal location within the outlet mall. Recommend! read more

We have given this place 4 chances - FOUR. The worst service (good luck finding anyone - you can refill your own drinks - WHATEVER your drinking). We sat at the bloody bar for well over an hour "waiting" for our carry out - and after snagging the "one" person we ever saw she looked at us and said "oh I didn't know you were customers" WTF??? NO WE JUST DECIDED TO COME IN AND SIT AT YOUR BAR?? She goes back and finds out "Sir there is no order back there - would you like to replace it"? I was about to loose it but my husband said "sure". So we got it - 45 minutes later - as a cary out. THEY EVEN FING CHARGED US FULL PRICE! We get home - pizzas looked "ok", breadsticks "ok" - but the cheese sauce was water - WTF, my salad was BROWN LETTUCE - ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We chalked that up "ok first time there - but GROSS". We recently went back for a second and third time - again same "one" person working in there - my husband could and did fill his own beer twice - NO ONE was out ever on the floor WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE GO? Got the food - went home - WAS NOT EVEN OUR ORDER - COME ON PEOPLE!!! Last night - 4th time - Pizza was burnt, breadsticks were "hard" and the cheese again this time tasted rancid/spoiled DISGUSTING! WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO ""THIS"" BIG WOODS WHATSOEVER!!!! DO yourself, your stomach, your temper, your patience a favor and my god drive into Nashville and go to the Bigwoods on MAIN STREET - They are outstanding and get it right each and every time. I hate it that people are experiencing BIG WOODS this way out in Edinburgh - this is NOT a true BIG WOODS experience in any way - this is a sloppy dive - but hey if you want a self serve bar - feel free to go there and help yourself....trust me you'll never see anyone that works there! read more

We couldn't believe how horrible our food was at Big Woods, the Edinburgh location. We've eaten at several Big Woods establishments never have we ever experienced the horrible food and staff. Our waitress was okay, and the server had an attitude problem. Not friendly at all. Our waitress never checked on us to see how the food was. We had ordered BBQ Pork Nachos, normally they're fantastic. Yesterday, was a different story. The chips were so stale, chewy and tough. The pork on the nachos looked like it had been heated up several times. The pork was so dry, it was hard to eat. We were so hungry we done our best to eat the appetizer. However, we left over half and there were four of us. Very disappointing!! I would not recommend this Big Woods location to anyone. The ambiance was good. read more

We went to dinner here and I believe our servers name was "Ty", he was super sweet, super attentive. Our nachos were good, but our bar drinks were AMAZING!!! Mid meal we couldn't help but notice another server ( a girl with long dark hair, glasses, her name was sara, Sierra, something along those lines). Not only did she constantly have a "I don't care attitude" on her face but I have never seen a server be so rude and speak to their co-workers in the manner that we witnessed. I'm not sure if she's the "favorite or the untouchable" but I was absolutely mortified and embarrassed for this young man. We will NEVER come back if we see her working. Good employees are hard to find, I see why this place has had staffing problems, no one wants to be treated like that. Shame on whoever is allowing this. read more

This is not pizza hut. It is an artisan pizza. I think it is a little on the expensive side but it is worth it ! Very good pizza.

Have loved the Nashville location so tried the one in Edinburgh for my husbands birthday. Mistakes are what make us human but to be lied to left me very upset with this location. Ordered a pan tossed large pizza and when it came out it looked like a thin crust pizza. Our waitress had already left our table so I asked another employee what kind of crust it looked like and she said thin crust. I told her we had ordered a hand tosse. Our waitress came back and said it would probably be ten minutes for another pizza and we said not a problem. Two minutes later she came a back with the same pizza and says it is hand tossed it's just that all the dough that day was coming out like that. I didn't want to make a scene so we just took her word. I knew the way it had fork marks all the way to the end of the crust it was thin crust but wanted to know for sure. We paid and on the way out saw several other normal hand tossed crusts.... HATE to be lied to. Lost future business here. Money is tight these days and when someone spends theirs at your establishment the least you can do is be honest. read more

Pizza and drinks were great. My problem was with one of the servers. We asked for red pepper flakes and she said she would get some for us. A couple minutes later she returned to a table next to us but no red pepper flakes. We reminded her and she said she would get them. Returned a couple minutes later without them. Stopped by for a beer or two, had a great experience. The bartender was great. Tried a flight, the Hoosier Red, which was good. The IPA was fantastic, and the Knuckle Buster I thing it was was also very good. And the Peanut Butter Knuckle beer. Very good but a dessert beer, maybe. Not a session, beer for sure. Grabbed a 4 pack of the IPA to take to the hotel. How disappointing, tasted ok, barely, it had that old taste that an IPA has when it has set on the shelf too long. How disappointing. read more

We are lovers of everything Big Woods. When we heard of a new location in our area we had to check it out! It's the same amazing Big Woods but located inside the Edinburgh outlet mall! Between Hilfiger and Vera Bradley/Polo. There is plenty of parking for all vehicle sizes! Easy to get to from the interstate. This is definitely one of the smaller Big Woods locations which could become problematic in terms of wait times. We went at an off time and were quickly sat. Great service and they seemed to be training new hires as well. Food was delicious- we split a 10 inch pizza and a pulled pork sandwich and then had to splurge for the skillet cookie. It appears to be a very similar menu to the Franklin location. I didn't see a kids menu so our daughter ate what we had but we also didn't ask for one. They have high chairs available. Overall, if you are sick of shopping- go have a beer and a pizza! read more

What a odd place for such a good restaurant. Many people overlook this place because it's not very popular since it only has 2 locations, but it is great. Every time we're in the area we go eat there and we have a great experience every time. Very consistent, great service, their food always come out hot and delicious. My Grandma and Grandpa live in the area and whenever I go to their house we always eat here. We've gone about 10 times now and we get the Barbecue Pork Nachos every time! They're delicious! They're always loaded with toppings, topped generously with BBQ Sauce and cheese, they always give you a lot, and they're always delicious. It's not the best thing out there, but you have got to try them. We usually get the Smokehouse Pizza. Now this pizza is definitely worth getting, if you're within 20 miles of a Big Woods I recommend you go and try the Smokehouse Pizza. First of, all of their pizzas are good because of their crust. Not too crispy but not too much crust, perfect medium, and they always have crispy edges that I love! Back to the Smokehouse. It's sort of a meat lovers with a lot of cheese on it, sounds delicious right? Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the food. I mentioned earlier that it's not very popular since it gets overlooked because of its location, but it fits the mall. It's a very chill place, sports on the tv, music playing quietly, we'll lit. Great little restaurant that you need to go to even if you aren't going to the mall. You definitely need to check out this 5 star restaurant! read more

I was looking for something that my entire family would enjoy for lunch and we found this place. The restaurant itself is in a good location actually in the strip mall. The inside of the restaurant is industrial style (at least to me it looks that way) with some wood details. Nothing really spectacular to be honest. The food was pretty good, in particular the pizza. We ordered a margherita pizza and a large Greek salad to split. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Much better than I expected. The salad was meh. The onions were cut in huge onion ring style pieces which I didn't really like. Usually Greek salads have feta cheese, this one had parmesan. For the price it's basic: lettuce, some black olives, giant onion ring pieces, parmesan shavings, and some dressing. Like I said, nothing special. My biggest issue with this restaurant is the service. It looks like they are understaffed so I understand how that can make things a little challenging but that still doesn't excuse the poor service. For one when we and other people entered the restaurant there was no one to greet us. Like I said, I know they are busy, but it's a few groups standing there and there's the one person at the bar that's by the entrance who could have turned and said "they'll be with you shortly." Something as simple as that instead of everyone wondering if we just sit on our own or are we to be seated. Oh and there were people who arrived after us who sat at the bar and were immediately helped by the person at the bar. I mean fine, but the bar person could have acknowledged the other people too who were waiting for tables. After about 15 minutes we were seated. Might I add, there were not that many people at the restaurant. There were a lot of open tables. We were placed in an uncomfortable, giant booth towards the back of the restaurant by the restrooms. A little frustrating given there were so many open tables, but I didn't argue about that, I just wanted to sit and order food. When we sat down we noticed the 3 booths opposite of us had trash on the tables from previous diners who were no longer there. We ordered and our food was brought with no plates, cutlery, or napkins. We had to ask for that. Usually restaurants bring that first or with the drinks. As mentioned the food was good and the waitress who tended to us was nice. Of everything that really bothered me was that we were there for over an hour and in that time, those 3 booths that I mentioned before, that had trash on them, were never cleaned. I mean we're talking dirty cups, dirty plates with food still on them, filthy napkins all wadded up and on the table, were just there for the entirety of my time at this restaurant. I noticed they had left other tables in a similar state towards the front as well. The staff not taking some extra time after customers leave to clean a table is just gross to me. I know they need more people, but that does not mean that cleanliness should be neglected. As good as the food is, unless their service improves I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place. read more

Service was less than sub par from the beginning. Waitress had zero personality, and was just flat out unfriendly and seemed annoyed. Ordered 3 pizzas for the table for a party of 8-6 adults & 2 tweens. 1 pizza came out fine, another had a topping that was specifically asked to not have it (was covered in it), and 3rd hadn't arrived yet. Rude waitress took pizza back, and after she left we overhead ANOTHER waitress telling another table that pizza would take awhile because they were out of pizza dough (it's a pizza place on a Saturday evening at 6pm and it's not even busy). So we find out from our waitress, after the fact, that the pizza place is out of pizza dough. Never received the 3rd pizza and the pizza we sent back can't be made for another 40 min because of the dough issue. I understand inventory can run low and things happen, but had there been communication from the start, we would've been a bit more understanding. Was in town for a tournament, so probably won't ever return because I don't live in the area. I especially won't now because customer service was completely shitty, and their average tasting food is pricey! read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. My boyfriend and I walked in where we were initially ignored by the hostess. We went at sat down at the bar where the bartender said she would be "right with us" yet it took over 25 minutes to get a glass of water. She never brought us menus. The two gentlemen next to us, noticed our frustration and offered us their menus after she took their order. She proceeded to tend to every single person at the bar before even asking us if we would like a drink. The two women next to us were loudly voicing their negative opinions of tattoos during our entire time here, my boyfriend and I have a very large amount. I ordered a side salad for an appetizer, it took over 20 minutes to receive it. By the time I poured the dressing cup, our pizza was already being delivered. We tried getting the bartenders attention for quite some time to close our check. She did not pay any attention to us, but was checking on every other person there. Once we finally got our check, we had our card ready to pay, she ignored it, checked on everyone else again, made eye contact with us but continued to ignore the card in our hand. We had to ask twice while she was putting in someone else's order if we could pay and she started to walk away in the middle of us speaking to her. We felt like we were being held hostage because we couldn't even pay. There were maybe a total of 10 other people at the bar. It was beyond unacceptable service. read more

We had a great experience here. It wasn't very busy, it was around 1:00 pm for lunch. We had a very attentive, tho very busy server. We were greeted in a very prompt and friendly manner by the host when we entered. There were up to 4 other tables being served at the same time we were there by our server. Had never been to a Big Woods before and decided to try this new one with friends. The staff was nice, the food was lackluster. We started with the nachos, smaller than expected but that's okay. The sauces were good but it really lacked toppings. We ordered two 16" pizzas, a smokehouse bbq and a BYO. The smokehouse was not good. Looked like it had been sitting a while and overcooked. Almost no sauce and also had few toppings. The BYO was much fresher though still scant sauce and toppings. And to charge 2.25 for each topping, I would hope for more than 2 pepperonis and 1 banana pepper per slice. The drinks were good though. read more

Waited 15min for her to do this while she just stood and looked at us. We inquired again that we would like to sit in the 2 empty seats. She said I have to sanitize it. We waited 3 more minutes while she just stood there. Frustrated we walked out. We totally understand the limited seating during this time, and that has to be difficult financially for all businesses, but with that in mind you would think customer service would be a top priority to every establishment. We have eaten at the Deep Woods Pizza and Big Woods at Hard Truth Hills, both in Nashville, IN and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. The food, service and atmosphere is great at both of them. When we heard that they were opening a new location at the Indiana Mall we decided to order a carry out pizza. We ordered the create your own 16" hand tossed pizza with marinara sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, caramelized onions and spinach. It came to aound $30 which is pretty steep for a pizza but let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Being from the Chicago area, we've eaten a lot of awesome pizza. This pizza was one of the best if not the best pizza we have ever had. We will be going there again in the near future. The pizza was ready in about 15 minutes which surprised me. read more

Disappointed in the experience we had tonight. We walked in to this location and it was a different layout than other Big Woods. Counter across the front looked like an ordering area. Many people were standing around looking at the overhead menu. No signs anywhere to indicate to wait for a table or seat yourself. We put in our name (after mistakenly sitting down and getting back up again because we didn't know the protocol and the 4 girls standing in the front offered no assistance at all). We were told 15-20 minutes and we would be texted when ready. Went to a nearby store and shopped to kill time. Came back in 25 minutes thinking we maybe missed the text and waited an additional 10 minutes. Same people were waiting. I asked for a time update (nicely, I might add) and got a lecture from one of the 4 girls that diners were taking a long time eating and relaxing and they couldn't ask them to leave. I told her I was only asking for an update. After being told it would be an additional 15-20 minutes, we asked for our names to be removed and headed out for a better experience. No apology was offered and that would've been a nice touch. read more
