The dumplings at Bigsuda are hot and fresh. I especially loved the crunch crunch shrimp and the soup dumplings were a favorite at our table. The seafood pancake was good, with lots of shrimp and calamari pieces in it, but way too many scallions for our tastes. I can appreciate the variety of vegetarian and seafood dishes, as we were here during Lent. I also like that the spicier dishes were clearly noted. Not an extensive menu but just enough choices for everyone in our party to enjoy, even if the majority of dumplings contained meat. Very good service and beautiful atmosphere too.

Bigsuda is a great spot for some inventive Asian-fusion flavors! The space is vibey, but not super upscale where you can both make a cute date night out of it, but also can have a chill dinner if you prefer instead. The staff is super friendly and were helpful in explaining the menu! The food we ordered was all good and as described by our waiter. Our favorite dish was the Galbi & Pork Mandoo, while it felt like the Marshmallow Brulee Sundae missed the mark as the ice cream seemed a bit stale (although the brûlée toppings were a super unique combination of flavors). The only reason I'm giving Bigsuda a 4 vs 5 star is because I personally would not crave to get the dishes I got this time around again (in addition to the aforementioned, we also got Kurobuta Pork XLB, Elote Mandoo, and the Ojingeo Ceviche). However, there were a lot of other menu items that peaked my attention and sounded super tasty so I'd definitely go back to see if we missed some must-gets this first time!

Subtle Asian Fusion place! It's quaint and peaceful inside. The Korean Mandoo is the go to, along with the Nara crunchy wings. Lychee Lush cocktail blew me away, fresh lychee fruits on top. Pricepoint great, and the servers were polite and helpful. Thanks Bigsuda!

We stumbled in because we were in the area, and I'm so glad we did! We sat at the bar and enjoyed the lychee cocktail and a variety of dishes. We got the short rib guksu, which was my favorite. It was similar to ramen broth but with korean style guksu noodles. The bibimen was a little too similar to this dish just without the broth, and wasn't anything like the bibimyun I've had in my korean culture. It's definitely on the heavier side - the ground meat and sauce to noodle ratio was too high and salty/heavy in my opinion. The shrimp and crab soup dumplings though were delicious. The lamb gochu twigim was nothing at all what I expected - it was more of a fried egg roll. My fiancé liked these but I could have skipped. Service was prompt and quick. The place is nice inside. I'd definitely like to try more dishes next time, as the flavors were very good just not really what I was expecting because it's much more fusion than sticking to the original cuisine.

Really interesting newer Korean fusion spot! My friend and I paid a late night visit after a show and were intrigued by the menu, which featured both reimagined takes on traditional dishes and new concepts altogether. We started with the kimchi and pork steamed mandoo, pork xiaolongbao, and the sweet corn mandoo. I felt that the first two were a little on the bland side- the mandoo could have used a stronger kimchi flavor and the soup dumplings could have had more flavor in the broth. The sweet corn mandoo, however, was excellent. I loved the creamy sauce and diced apple- it was a wonderfully executed concept. We also split the bibimmen, which was absolutely decadent and not for the faint-of-stomach! It reminded me a lot of carbonara with its rich sauce and deep pork flavor, but was also very spicy. My only complaint is that the pork belly was a bit overcooked and chewy. Throughout the meal, the employees were very attentive and professional. Overall, I really enjoyed the visit and will definitely return to try more of the menu!

Solid spot for soup dumplings and other comfort dishes. Nice outdoor seating area and friendly staff. Got the porchini & gruyere kurobuta soup dumplings, which were delicious. Nice size and perfect amount for two people. Also got the bibimmen because I saw so many reviews talking of it. I've only had bibimbap before, so the noodle version was a cool twist on my favorite Korean dish. They also have a pretty legit offering of beers including Sapporo and Cass. This is a really solid Wicker Park soup dumpling option, and I'll definitely be back

this place was so good! came here with 2 other people & we were sat immediately for lunch saturday afternoon. we came for the dumplings but were intrigued by the rest of their menu so we got a bunch of things to try! the place was super cute, a little smaller but it's nice when it's that way. we've already recommended this place to friends & the loved it as much as we did! will def be coming back!

Amazing blend of flavors with juicy soup dumplings and my favorite dish of Jellyfish Bruschetta. Walked in reading the sign that read "Soup Dumplings and More" and the MORE really hit hard. Their mandoo and soup dumplings are their specialty, but they also have delicious appetizers, shrimp fried rice, and dombe guksu. I really liked their Lychee Lush highball cocktail but their other drinks all sound phenomenal. Their desserts are slightly on the small side but they taste good, especially their chocolate mousse. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a quaint, dark dining environment with a somewhat romantic setting.

NEW FAVORITE PLACE! This was one of the best family-style dining experiences I've had in the city. It's the kind of place where dishes land in the center of the table hot and fast, and everyone reaches in with chopsticks and intrigue on what they're gonna get next. The soup dumplings and noodles are the stars for me. This place proves that soup dumplings can be done outside of Chinatown. It's not cheap, but it feels worth it. Go with a group and order heavy. Maybe skip the drink so you can eat more. You won't regret it. - AD

My partner and I wanted to try a new place! So we out this Asian fusion spot on a Friday night. First off, the xiao long bao were amazinggg, juicy, and absolutely packed with flavor. Probably the best I've had!! A total must-order. I also really enjoyed the jeera pork ribs--super flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. The cumin seasoning really stood out in the best way and gave them a unique, delicious twist. The crabby clam puffs were super crispy and well-executed, but the flavor profile was a bit much for me. We felt like it was bold to the point of overwhelming. Still tasty, just felt like the flavors were all over the place. Then there was the lamb gochu twigim, which totally surprised us. It came out looking like a lumpia, the real win was the dipping sauce because it had that slight spice and it helped tie the dish together. Not what we expected for sure That said, the ambiance is incredible; very decorative, with dim lighting that sets a really relaxing, intimate mood. It's the kind of place where you want to sip on a drink and linger over your food. Just a great vibe all around. Be prepared, though: this place gets packed. There was a line out the door after we got seated, and it stayed busy the entire time we were there. Definitely a hot spot, and it's easy to see why!

Pretty good casual Asian fusion place in wicker park! Food is definitely fusion / Americanized but was a good experience! Service is also really nice and quick as well. Portions were huge

Beautiful restaurant that has an amazing garage door and outside eating area. Our service was fair but the food was very good! The shrimp and crab soup dumplings were delicious, I love that the menu instructs you how to eat it properly. Their house sauce with ginger is amazing. We also ordered veggie mandoo and chicken wings which were great additions to our lunch.

Truly a pleasant lunch experience. We arrived at noon on a Sunday and there's no wait. Food was served quickly and tasted good. Even our picky toddler enjoyed the soft and flavorful ribs appetizer. The shrimp and crab Xiaolongbao passed our taste test and the noodles soup was also a unique take on of pho + ramen. Would recommend this place if you are in Wicker Park.

Finally my schedule, bank account, and the weather all lined up to try brunch at this West Loop spot. Like everywhere else at Fulton Market, be prepared for parking to be what parking is going to be here! There are some paid street spots, I also think there is a garage somewhere, and it is noted that Duck Duck Goat does not offer valet. The restaurant is in a super chic corner spot in Fulton Market, with a very picturesque little patio dining space out front. I had a reservation and arrived just a couple minutes early; we were greeted as soon as we walked in and taken to a table without any wait. I absolutely love the inside of this restaurant. Our table was a half booth/half chair two-top in the front window. There is so much rich color and decoration, and it really feels pretty intimate - I think this is a great date spot. The brunch menu has some amazing food options, and the service was very friendly but not overbearing. We started with an order of the crab rangoon to share between both of us, and then the pork fried rice omelette and the bacon and egg moo shu as brunch entrees. This is a dim sum restaurant and the plates are more of a style to be small bites and/or shared plates, and portion size definitely reflects such! Also because of this style, the dishes came out as they were ready, not all together "as entrees". The crab rangoons were incredible - the mascarpone filling is tart and bright to counter the briny crab and the pineapple sweet and sour is incredibly craveable. I will dream about this omelette for the rest of my life. The richness of the pork and the savoryness of the fried rice paired with fluffy egg, piled high with a texture bomb of accoutrements like crispy fried onions, (fresno?) chilis, and picked red onions. This is one of the best bites in the city. The moo shu had perfectly made sunny side up eggs with the richest egg yolks. All the veggies were cooked perfect, I loved the lotus root in the veggie mix. I love that our reservation wasn't rushed, and the service was really nice. We both said before even finishing our brunch that we wanted to come back and try dinner. Also a super cute touch, we were given complimentary little almond cookies after we were done. Thank you so much, Duck Duck Goat, for a wonderful brunch date! We will see you soon for dinner!

The noodles were a lil too thick n chewy for me. Salad was nothings special, just eating large chunks of cabbage. The Sparrow Mallorc was also really good and refreshing, not overly sweet. The egg tarts had a creamy delicious custard and the dough was fluffy like a croissant, not crisp like pie. I prefer crisp but would still recommend. I also got the chai carrot cake which is really good. The chai spice compliments the sweetness well and walnut chunks add nice texture . I want to try all their desserts at Bird Bird Bakery bc the flavors are so unique and actually really good, unlike other bakeries that try to use interesting flavors but make it overly sweet. The staff were chill and kind. Pretty laid back, you have to get your own utensils and water. I do love that they have their own hot sauces. The brown one with tamarind was my favorite. The avocado dip was so interesting, but I liked a new twist on your average avo toast. I appreciated the toasted bread for being crispy enough without being too hard that it cuts up your mouth. The kalbi was so tender and juicy and a pretty decent portion for the price! I wish the kimchi breakfast potatoes had more kimchi flavor! We made the mistake of eating the burger last.
