Cut to the chase: Larry was great. Knowledgeable and friendly. Very fair prices. Great work. Will never go anywhere else. longer version: Made an appointment for the next day. He took a look at my issues. He did everything in front of me and tried saving some parts but to no avail....i was 99% sure it wasnt going to be saved, but he really did try, which speaks to his integrity and putting the customer first approach. He then gave me a quote which was more than fair. I did have a stripped bolt and he re-threaded it and saved my frame.,,,big win. He not only fixed the main issue, but little minor issues and adjustments. This bike is HUMMING now....poetry in motion. All the while he was working he was educating me on so many things. I really learned a lot from him. He really does mean it when he is trying to encourage the community to bike more and to educate. He taught me some stuff and gave me some pointers on how to properly ride and shift gears in order to prolong the life of my bike and limit repairs and maintenance. He even explained how to determine what size bike you need. I can keep going, but you get the point. He just got a lifetime customer in me. I was having issues when shifting gears. Didn't take long for Larry to ID the issue being a bent tooth. He was able to fix it on the spot, and do a quick check on the rest of the bike. My experience at Bike Together was so great. Larry is so honest and has such reasonable rates. I have an 8 year old Tomasso road bike that was never tuned before so it was in need of a MAJOR tuneup. Mainly the gears weren't shifting right. My dad also had a bike that had gear issues so we took them both to Larry. Neither my dad or I had ever had a bike tuned so we were clueless about everything. This would've been a perfect opportunity for a dishonest mechanic to take advantage of our inexperience and up charge us on stuff we don't need but surprisingly, Larry did the exact opposite! First of all, he showed us specifically what was wrong on the bike and I was able to see the actual damage / flaws he was referring to which made me feel more comfortable that I wasn't getting ripped off. I like that he didn't just tell me what was wrong but actually showed me and explained what was going on. He's super knowledgeable! He advised me to get a tune up and some parts replaced because my bike was very worn/damaged and the price of labor for whatever parts he installed would be included in the tune up fee ($75). I ended up getting a new chain, 2 new tubes, 2 new tires, and a new cable + the tune up for only $153!! Even my friend who's more familiar with bikes said that was a really good price. And my old bike felt like new again! As for my dad's bike, it is a lot newer and in much better shape than mine (he never rides it) but it still had issues with the gear shifting so my dad told Larry he also wanted a tune up. Larry took a look at his bike and told him he doesn't need one. The only thing he needed was a new chain and the derailleurs adjusted which ended up costing about $40 if I remember correctly. Larry could've easily agreed to do the more expensive tune up and my dad and I wouldn't have known any better! So glad he is honest! Oh and it's awesome they also sell helmets. My dad needed one so he bought one from them. It's really nice quality and looks great! 2 days later they let us know our bikes were ready. They gave us each a free backlight which was a nice surprise. We test rode the bikes and they were great!! Highly recommend Bike Together! read more

Repaired what he could in my garage, and took the more challenging bike back to his shop. Did not nickel and dime, in fact, had spare used parts lying around that he charged a very fair price for, and then dropped the bikes back off at my house a few days later. I was in search of a bike repair shop for my 3 bikes before our camping trip this week. I'd called around and most shops required an appointment and most were scheduled weeks out. I came across Bike Together (actually a referral from one of the other bike shops) and reached out to them with my fingers crossed. To my amazement and relief, they responded right away (literally texted me back within minutes) and were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule! I was able to drop off the bikes early (to accommodate MY schedule) and - although they couldn't guarantee it - they promised to try to get things done prior to my trip the following week. Would you believe it ... within THREE days ... in an effort to get us ready for our camping trip they fixed and tuned up all three bikes and had them ready for me! I dropped off a couple 7-speed beach cruisers for repair. Turnaround time was awesome. Larry is super knowledgeable, reasonable and has a great set up. I bought an ebike conversion on offer up and talked to Larry about wanting to check it out before taking it on a longer ride. Larry went over the bike, made a bunch of adjustments, adding air to front and rear air shocks, shortening the chain, derailer adjustments, checked brakes and sealant in tubeless tires.
