I told him we were there for a toddler helmet and he asked if I was the one who called. He got one of the options available for my toddler, and helped her put it on to test the size. He got down to her level and spoke to her in a way that made her feel comfortable and not intimidated. She also said she wanted to choose which one she wanted. Even though they looked like they were about ready to leave they took the time and stayed later to fix my tube. The charge was only about 26 dollars and that included the labor. The manager Michelle is extremely unprofessional!! I dropped my bike off on Monday and communicated with sales person Elijah, that the tubes needed to be changed because they were flat. I was called back by Elijah, he told me that they had put air in the tires and the tires appeared to be fine. I expressed that I have put air in it before and it had deflated so if they could watch it for a couple days to see if it would deflate. I explained that I would come to pick up my bike Wednesday. Tuesday came around and sales person Jett called me and said my bike was ready for pickup- I communicated to Jett what Elijah and I discussed and that I would come Wednesday to pick up the bike. Apparently there were no notes attached, so he wasn't aware. I briefed him and it seemed like he understood. I came in on Wednesday to pick up my bike. I asked for a recap on what they observed, I was told that they just put air and there was no charge. The tires were fine and it hadn't deflated. I proceed to take my bike to my car. Shortly after, one of the sales worker ran out and said oh sorry we did change the tire tubes and you have to pay. I proceeded to go back into the store. I began to communicate what Elijah and I discussed, an older woman named Michelle jumped into the conversation. At this point she was yelling at me for no reason and didn't care what I had to say. She cut me off as I was trying to explain to her what Elijah and I had communicated. She replied by telling me - If that's what was said it would be written on the invoice as notes, etc. I replied by saying well obviously it's not, someone didn't write it. There's clearly communication error. I asked her if we can speak closer to the second cash register- and that we should not be speaking over another customer- she debated and continued on. She said other things such as "Get out of the store." "Why are you still here." "I don't care, report me." She discussed what her conversation was with Elijah in an irritable manner - and she said told him to "Do what ever the customer wants." It seems like the sales workers were young, around age 18- she mentions their age. Perhaps their first jobs/inexperienced?- but friendly (no complaints with them) Anyway... My opinion is that these young workers need guidance as to how to communicate and take notes on work orders from customers. Michelle demonstrated far from being a professional manger. She is not equipped to train these young men on how to do deal with customers, workers or how to run a shop. I feel sorry for not only on how I was treated but the future generation (Elijah and Jett) whereas they lack experience and need a leader not a crazy person as a manager. I was treated so bad - by Michelle and tried to reason with her. She shouted me no charge get out! She stormed to the back of the shop- not in sight. During this time I asked the young sales workers- what her name was, the owners name and owner's email. In the middle of writing down the information received, she came out from behind the back area of the shop and began shouting at me again- in front of workers and customers. This is not acceptable and I will be writing a formal complaint to the owner. I hope she gets fired not only because of this incident but I guarantee she will bring the business down with her negative lasting impact on future customers. I found this location by accident and I am very glad I did! So, I have always been a fan of the Bikefactory stores and even bought my most recent MTB from them. I live in Ewa so I would either have to drive to Waipio or town, as those were the two locations they had. I tried other bike shops but they paled in comparison. My baby, Hawk (my MTB), got a flat tire and after reinflating it and it still going flat, I knew I probably needed a new tube. Keep in mind that I had no idea there was a Kapolei locations. Of course, I did my thing and searched Yelp and Google for the nearest bike shops to Ewa and lo' and behold, a YouTube video popped up talking about the Kapolei location NOW OPEN!!! Merry Christmas to me! I take my happy little butt to their newest location in Kapolei, right past Costco. It was super easy to find and there was a sign near the road for anyone who needed an extra hint where to find them. Pulled in - PLENTY of parking and in the shade! Opened the door and...(choir singing) ahhhhh!!! What a site to behold. The store was stocked floor to ceiling with bikes, skateboards, and hoverboards and accessories. You name it, they most likely have it. The guys were super friendly and very helpful! Gave me some tips for when I do change my tube. They were actually fairly busy, I believe they have been open at least a month now? Anyway, I tried to check in on Yelp but alas! absolutely, the worst place to buy your E bikes or scooters, or even parts go to Voro motors, this place sold me a part that was not for my eride pro it was for a surron according to manufacture. The manager Michelle started yelling at me telling me she would not return it because there was a mark on the part and when I asked to speak to another manager or a district manager, she continued to tell me she was the manager and that's all I would get. Stay away from this place. If you don't want to get screwed, they will convince you certain parts will fit your bike and then blame you for why they won't return it. Also kind of weird that a company many locations that does so much business on this island would not have a district manager or someone that a customer could call instead of being yelled at. read more

Being that the Super73s are quite an investment with a price tag to match, we wanted to make sure we were making the right choice. I went here to get my tire tube changed. At the time I went in I did not have the right levers to change it myself and they wanted $50 for the levers I needed (I bought on amazon for $20 and they came with other stuff). But that is not why I am upset. Because I did not want to wait, I decided to let them replace my tube $75 ($50 for labor which I think is crazy), thinking it would only be 2 days at most. The guy rung it up and said someone will call me when it is done. As I left, I asked him if they can give me back my old tube, as it is brand new with one small nail puncture. The guy looked at me weird and said yea. I never received a call. I decide to go in today, (Saturday) to see if it was done. After talking to a different guy, he finds my tire and rings me up. I asked him when did they finish it because I have been waiting for a call all week. The guy looks at the tag and told me Monday. And then said he personally made the call to me. I showed him my phone (no missed calls) but said that's fine kinda sucks because I only paid the $75 to have it done fast. So, I pay for my tire and walk out. Then I thought about it, where is my old tube. I walk back in and ask. The guy looks for it, then ask to see my receipt. He told me because they did not put on it, to keep the tube they probably threw it away. Most likely because it was bad. I told him it was a brand new bike/tube and I pulled the small nail from it so there is no way it was unpatchable. The first guy told me they do not do patches so I said ill pay for the replacement then patch my old one. I left after he gave me a 2nd half ass apology. read more

Good place to get a new bike, some fix ups and accessories. I've gone there several times for tire changes and controller replacement for my super73 ZX but the last time I went was to try and get my brake cables replaced. That's all I wanted done to the bike. I'm not sure if he was a manager but he's usually the guy who helps me with the bike, but he said he wouldn't take it in unless I allow the changing out of several other parts. As much as I'd like that I tried to tell him like Hey I don't have the money for that, I don't have a job with the pay that would allow me to pay for a big job like this. But the guy told me that "He can't put the places name on the bike if he just repairs the the brake cables." I can understand that to a degree but it's my bike, I just need one thing done and can't afford an overhaul on this bike. And it's my commuter, I lived in Iroquois and have to get all the way to Ka Makana for work. I just needed the one job to help and hopefully down the line I could think about more repairs. He didn't budge on repairing the one thing so I left. Not sure I want to do business with these guys again. read more

With a higher purchase amount, I am super shocked that this company had allowed this purchase without an ID check for credit card purchases. Isn't this common practice at a retail store? This is not a coincidence. We brought 2 bikes here for tire and tube replacements. I spent over $230 for 1 set of 14" and 1 set of 12" tires and one 14" tube. Labor was $50 each, so $100 for labor, and I got a bigger seat cause the narrow one the bike came with wasn't sitting right with me. They kept my seat and my valve stem caps. Yes. Couple days later my sons tire is flat. He calls them and asks them if they can fix it cause he thinks there is a leak. They told him some crap about they'll give him a discount, so we bring it down, then the guys say that we need to pay for a tire tube and $50 labor. Again. Same tire that needed the tube replacement. Unreal, but I pay for it cause my son needs a bike. Today my tire was flat and it's not like I am riding over things that will puncture it. I'm not going in dips or hitting the tire hard on anything. Same thing like my son. We ride on the tar roads. I go less than a mile both ways each day to work from the parking lot to my office. Bike is stored in my house and in my trunk. When my husband and son tried to pump air into the back tire (same like my sons tire, it's both our back tires), the valve stem cannot be accessed because of the way they installed it. My husband calls and tells them hey, can you folks help us cause we came there and that's how it was installed by them. And why the f do I need to repair or replace brand new fn tires and tubes anyways? Ain't they supposed to be good for a couple months or a year or something? You mean to tell me these tubes and tires only last a fn week forreal tho? The guy says bring it down and he will show my husband what to do, something about a tool. We drive all the fn way down there and waste our time and gas for them to bring it back and say they are gonna ring us up. For what?!?! We just bought those fn tires and we were only told they would show us how to put air into it using a tool. I'm fn aggravated cause it's the same bs with them both times for my son and me. They are dirty and grimy, and if this is the only way they can make money and stay in business by ripping people off with poor workmanship, I would suggest going somewhere else. $50 every single time for labor, and the back tires on 2 different bikes both have the same problem. First time I went there and they took my blue valve stem caps and I got these plastic crap on my stems, I should have known it was a red flag, like how you gonna take peoples stuff and not give it back? I thought hey, honest mistake. It happens. Now I think to myself 1-1/2 weeks later, this is not a mistake. They are fraudulent. F them and this place of business. Never ever gonna go back there and never gonna refer them to anyone. Whatever owner responds to this I want my money back. read more
