I can confidently say that this place and its employees put most other car dealerships in this city to shame. A few weeks ago I purchased my first car from Bill Pearce, which was a used Toyota RAV4. Naturally, there were some questions that arose during the sales process, such as what I should do if something were to go wrong with the car soon after I bought it. Would they take care of it, or tell me to pound sand like most other dealerships would be inclined to do when buying an as-is used car? The salesman, Scott, assured me that they would do what they could to make it right. I figured I'd hope for the best. When I was ready to buy the car, I noticed that (through no fault of anyone) there were tiny tar splatters all over the hood and left side of the car. It's likely that it was driven past a construction site at some point. One of the employees named Alex came out and helped me remove it with a buffing wheel and polishing compound. He didn't have to do that, so I greatly appreciated it! I drove it off the lot without issue and they even knocked $600 off the price due to some minor cosmetic damage on the car. I was skeptical at first about Scott's assurances, but all doubt was removed when my car started to have problems with the paint chipping almost immediately from a small area on the hood. I suspect it had to do with the insulator on the underside of the hood coming off, which then caused the heat from the engine to heat up the hood and make the paint bubble/chip. I realize that I should have checked under the hood before I drove off with the car. I only found out when I got home and found the insulator sitting on top of the engine instead of being attached to the underside of the hood where it belonged. I do not blame Bill Pearce for any of this. I now know for a fact that they would have fixed this immediately if they had known too. I told Scott and their used car manager, Joseph, about the issue and he immediately told me to bring it in to them. As someone with a marketing degree, I can tell that these men deeply care about their reputations and first impressions. I showed them the paint chips and bubbles (which had spread over the course of a week) and brought back the detached hood insulator. Joseph told me to leave the car with them, no questions asked. Well I went down and picked up the car from them yesterday (as of when I wrote this) and I couldn't be happier. Joseph personally touched up the chipped paint, sanded out the bubbles, and applied an even coating of touch up paint to the damaged section. He also clear coated it. Not only that, he personally fixed the hood insulator, cleaned it, and securely attached it to the bottom of the hood. Speaking of which, the hood also had some residual tar splatter on it that I had been meaning to get to, but have not yet found the time. Well, not anymore, because Alex removed all of the remaining tar! Not only that, but they also polished the headlights which had been a bit fogged up when I bought the car! None of this was charged to me. I made sure to thank each of them profusely for the superb service they have given me. Most other car places would have blown me off if I came back to them with even half of the problems I did. These people care about what they do and they care about making sure the customer has a good buying experience. They definitely wanted my first car to be perfect. While the car certainly had a couple problems, I did not have to stress over them at all because the people at Bill Pearce took care of everything, all while keeping me up to speed the whole time through calls and texts. I will be recommending this place to my friends who are in the market for new or used cars from now on, and I can confidently recommend this business to everyone else who would like a car from people who actually care about their customers. read more

Made an appointment to come in for tire rotations and check up services. Advisor recommended some services when the car system didn't give me the alerts indicating that I need those services. Good thing is, the advisor was not pushing. He gave me time to talk with my husband and we made our decision and it's always nice that they arrange rides for customers. That made things a lot easier. I only gave 3 stars because I'm a little bit upset that they took so long to get my car ready for me to pick up. I dropped off my car at 11:00AM, got a ride back to work at 12:00. Right now at 4:40PM, I'm still waiting for my car. It was good that I asked when came back if they are going to rotate my tires. Advisor said no because we didn't talk about it when I brought my car in. They barely had oil changed for my car after almost 5 hours, because they were busy. Compared to last time when I came in, I'm not very happy for the service over all. read more

Was searching the whole country for the past 2-3 months to find the car spec'ed out the way I wanted. Finally found it here and the experience wasn't bad at all. Marcus helped me out and was super responsive and provides any information that I needed. He didn't try to play those stupid salesman tactics with me as in "someone just saw the car and they want to buy it". He also was not so pushy at all. I wanted to get an inspection done and he was accommodating with that as well. The whole buying process took a couple days and he was patient and responsive with all the different parts in play. I am located in NY so I had to get my own transportation to get the car delivered and register the car myself. All the paperwork was done and delivered on time. I am now happily enjoying my E43 AMG! I bring my BMW 745Li to Bill {like I have countless times}, this time for a trunk motor to be replaced. Thank GOD I provided the new BMW part because they want to charge me $1100.00 more than I paid for it! I couldn't get straight answers because they assigned an oil change woman to me who was CLUELESS to service assignments. She proceeded to insist that I had to agree to pay for diagnostic charges on things I already had previously paid for from former visits. I drove a very healthy BMW {that performs like a new Ferrari} and got stuck with all these diagnostic charges that I didn't want or need!!! I had a LOANER car from them and returned it showroom clean!!! My car was so filthy that I had to get paper towels to wipe the windows to see to try and drive it! I displayed an. engine malfunction light and would barely run. I had to get it back to Carson to have their work fixed. I was assured that and fluid that they took out of the car would be replaced! My hydraulic and cooling reservoirs were empty!!! The absolute WORST service in my 48 years with a driver's license! Went there excited to buy a Jeep Compass had cashiers check in hand to make the purchase but was treated as if it were a bother to be waited on not to mentioned the price of the vehicle went up by a couple of thousands once the managers got involved. The program would not let me give them zero stars! I took my porche macan in for its 30k service. They gave me a loaner even though it should be done that day. I was called and told the dealer had no replacement spark plugs in inventory so they had to order some this was the day before Xmas! Three days later I picked up my macan after payment of over 900.00 600.00 of that was labor! They changed me 158.00 for 4 spark plugs that sell on suncost for 84.00! They didn't even put mobile one oil in just used the cheaper brand castrol! They also did a smog check that cost 49.00. Don't use this place use Reno Rennsport or drive to Sacramento at Niello! If you do use these guys make sure you stop by the drug store and buy a large tube of KY jelly since you will need it! read more

I pre-paid for my services when i bought my car and they lied to me when i brought my car in and said i didn't and charged me for services for over 3 years. I only found out when i went to another dealership. Now i've spent a month trying to get the Director of Services and Porsche corporate to help me get my money and can't even get a 30 second return call and the dealership can't even call corporate back. Went to my local Porsche BMW Volvo dealer on Saturday. BMW sales people are always accommodating and informative. Went to the Porsche side. No sales associates, a few staff at desk, they must have not been sales. Was there 15 minutes looking at 100k cars, no sales associates. I had purchased a 110k 911 from the years ago. Conclusion, go to Niello in Sacramento. Why does this Porsche dealer exist ? There isn't a single Porsche on the main lot on Virginia ave., all trucks and cars. Went to the Volvo side. Same, no sales associates. One BMW salesman said he can't offer any help but we are welcome to look around. No sales associates on a Saturday ? I just bought my Certified Pre-Owned X1 at Bill Pearce Motors. I have been in Reno for 2 years and have not shopped for a car until now. I had been visiting the dealership for maintenance purposes only. The service department is good, but sometimes you have to wait to get an appointment for a few days, and I think that puts a lot of people off. I'm not sure. Everyone I worked with was very courteous and it's a comfortable waiting room. I've never seen it bustling with people, but that is a plus in my book. Anyway, last week I decided to shop for an X1 because my husband saw one on their website, and he knew what I was looking for. It was the most beautiful X1 I had ever seen because it was the Mineral White paint, it had low miles and was beautifully decked out. Michael Gracey helped us with the purchase, and what a wonderful man he is. He was. Professional, polite, funny and truly helpful. He made what has been in the past a tedious chore into an amazing, easy and fun car buying experience. I can't believe I was so very lucky. I love the car, and I highly recommend working with Michael Gracey. He knows his stuff and is a joy to work with. Today I am going back to learn from a "Genius" staff member on how to enjoy all the amazing features that this car will be offering me for years to come! Thanks, Michael. I would not give this dealership a 1 star if it was not required. My lease is up on my BMW in less than 30 days. I began receiving emails from BMW that if I turned in my car early they would pay my last 3 payments if I leased another BMW. This was my intention. In June my son and I visited the dealership having just moved from Texas. The salesman told me to wait another 3 months. My file would be on top of his desk and he would contact me right after September. Last week I still had not heard from him so I called. I explained again who I was and that it was just. 30 days until my BMW needed to be turned into the dealership. He kept calling me another name and what I really thought was funny was he asked me what my intentions were in getting a new lease. I explained again that I needed to have a car as in less than a month my current car would need to be turned back into the dealership. He told me he would call me right back. After 2 hours I called him again. My car had already been inspected I told him if this was an issue I could look at a Ford or Chevy. He told me he would call me right back. Over an hour later he finally called with no solutions and no help. He sounded and treated me as though he could care less if he put me back into a BMW. Again he asked me what my intentions were in getting a new BMW. By now I was more than disappointed I certainly did not feel as though they wanted me as a customer. I left on Monday to volunteer in Houston in the after math of Harvey and work with animals. I returned on Friday and on Saturday (yesterday) I leased a Ford SUV. My only goal now with this dealership is turn my lease in today. The people at the Ford dealership were lovely, polite, and the manager thanked me twice for my business. Today I called to turn in my lease on my current BMW. The salesman Steve was designated to inspect my car. My son came with me. When we walked in the door we introduced ourselves and I gave him a brief description of my previous experience and why I did not re-lease a BMW. As we walked out to my car he began inspecting with loud exhales as he walked around the vehicle. At the end of the inspection he told me my car was in good shape but my back tires were mismatched to my front tires and the Bridgestone's did not match the original BMW tires (even though when I replaced the two tires they searched for certified BMW tires). He told me this was going to cost me $600 for two new tires. My son asked him if I had released a new BMW would I have been charged? Steve stated no I then again explained why I was now in a Ford and not a BMW. He told me "If you don't like it I will get a real BMW inspector out here and he will make your life a living hell". YES Steve actually threatened me. Both my son were so shocked and at the same time we asked did you actually threaten me? He told me he did not have to do my inspection. Now just trying to get this over we walked into his office. He pulled out his iPad. He typed in my account number and then with a loud exhale forcibly pushed the iPad towards me and asked me if this was my account number. The message in the iPad read that that the account had been closed and that an inspection could not be done. He asked me if I had any paperwork from BMW to prove I had an account. Now after being threatened, having an iPad forcibly shoved towards me and then intimating that I did not have an active account I am furiously looking from my last email from BMW. He then reread what he typed and stated that "he had transposed 2 of the numbers". He did not once apologize. After the $600 he added another $395 for a "disposition fee". To turn in my BMW because I received poor service and did not release will cost me 1K. Finally I asked for a copy of my paperwork to be emailed to me. He either was not capable of emailing me a copy or just chose not to email me a copy. Clearly I made the right choice in leasing a Ford SUV. I have excellent history with my BMW payments. If I ever decided to lease or purchase a BMW again I will never walk into the Bill Pearce dealership. I will drive to Auburn or Sacramento. After my experience I drove back to Jones Ford West to personally thank them for how they had treated me yesterday. read more

My husband and I stopped in to look at Porsche Cayenne's last September -- absolutely no intention of buying one. Well, we have one. Rob Cameron, our super salesman, took us for a test drive. He provided high-quality, no-pressure support. We financed it, and were ready for th 2-3 hour marathon of upsells. Didn't happen. The finance guy -- I apologize for forgetting his name but he was a Basque, and a musician -- very professionally sped us through the process. We were out of there in under an hour. We've had a service interaction since then (it's been 6 months). It was kind of an embarassing issue -- about 50% of the time, one of the key fobs wouldn't connect. I kept thinking it was me. I kept getting annoyed so one day as I was driving by, I said "stuff it, I'm asking them." I talked with Dolf. He didn't make me feel like a was doofus (thank you). He was incredibly helpful, set up an appointment AND I got a Porsche Macan for a loaner while they serviced the car. (Btw, I prefer the Cayenne). WOW! Early last June I wandered into Bill Pearce Motors to take a look at the Volvo XC90 - just wanted to sit in the seats, as this was my major complaint about my 10 year old Lexus. Salesman (John Pohl) was very attentive and polite. Returned at the end of the month for a test drive (didn't have time for one on the first visit), and again, John was very helpful, spending a great deal of time explaining all the electronic goodies that the car possessed. The car was terrific so we sat down and worked up an order. He explained that the car probably wouldn't get into the queue before the plant shut down for the month of August. No problem for us. We were in no rush. John kept us informed as to the car's disposition - "it's on the dock in Sweden, waiting for a barge" etc. When it finally arrived, we made an appointment to take possession on Xmas eve. We drove up and parked in front of the Volvo portion of the dealership and then walked into the showroom where our car was sitting with a sold sign on it. Another sales associate came by and asked if he could be of assistance. We told him we were just admiring our car and that we would be making our way over to John's desk shortly. He walked us over to him and then the paperwork process began - all very efficient and friendly. After the paperwork was completed, John gave us a detailed run through of virtually every gadget on the car, from all the controls to the infotainment system. He told us not to hesitate to call if we had any questions (and gave us his cell #) - including help in hooking up Apple Carplay once we procured the proper phone.
