We talked I gave him all my info and he told me someone would contact me within the hour. It's now been 5 hours and not a peep from the dealer! New car i just bought Friday late evening. I couldn't understand why the salesman said, come back when your empty so we can detail your car. No car, under any circumstances should you let a customer drive off like this. Top of hood has scratches. I text who i thought was my salesman, come to find out it was the finance guy who told me he would forward my pics and complaints to the sales manager Chad, who never returned my call. So i tried again the following day, which was today 03/08/20 Still no call back. So sales guy Joel calles has attitude and says your obviously not happy, i was in a hurry and that i would have waited longer had he had the car was. Well he shows me the car then takes it to get washed. Now we are back with paper work, an hour later, no walk around vehicle only a ticket to come back for detail and another full tank, which he said he did out of his picket. Uh huh!! Hald i known it was that dirty, there is noooo way i would have left with that car like that. Shame on you sales guy, you knew the condition and should have said "i can't let you leave with it in that condition" or sign off letting me know o approved of it. If i could give it back i would. If you think about it you are taking advantage, the issue is not the msrp of the car, it's that you are aware of the chip shortage and add a surge charge to the Price of the vehicle to increase you profit, there for taking advantage of a person that needs a car for whatever reason. Pretty un impressed with my experience here so far. Sales played games keeping me waiting while they sat and talked about their personal lives. Fast forward, bought the car called the finance department the next day to ask about something, I left a message and never received a call back. 2 weeks after purchase I get a call from Paul about a survey I filled out from toyota where I had mentioned some pre existing damage that was hidden by the dealer on the car. Nor disclosed by the dealer. I found out later in the service records online. The dealer showed me a clean carfax on this cpo vehicle. Paul said to let him know when the car was in for service and he would check it out to see if he could help. The car is in service as of yesterday morning, I told my service advisor kassandra about it. She claims she can not reach Paul. This morning I call and speak to Paul he assures me he will look into it. This was at 9 am, at 1230 pm I get a call from kassanda saying she hasn't heard from Paul and still can not get ahold of him. This is my warning to other consumers and I will continue to follow the correct steps to get this resolved at the expense of my time and patience. read more

We were stranded in Bakersfield when my Prius suddenly wouldn't start. I called Bill Wright Toyota & explained what was happening hoping they may be able to offer some advise. They put me in touch with Jonathan & he was wonderful. Walked us through some possible fixes over the phone. When those didn't work he worked with as we contacted a tow company. If turned out to be a bad starter battery. Toyota was able to get us in on the spot & replace the battery so we could drive the 2+ hours home. This review will most likely be updated over the course of a year since my wife and I purchased a new car here. But for now I am struggling with the amount of stars to rate them. We originally came here on the evening of December 23rd, it was around 6:00p and we walked the lot looking at different models. A salesperson did walk out look at us and immediately returned back inside. Well it was cold so maybe they weren't sure if they should approach us. We went inside (showroom) and browsed the Camrys they had on the floor. There was a family sitting down reviewing paperwork so obviously they were still open. There were four gentlemen in an office who all looked at us but not one approached us so we figured we should leave. We returned the next day at a more amicable time (maybe), it was about 1:00pm. Literally within a few minutes we were approached by Kevin. Maybe the daylight changes the way Business is conducted, but anyways Kevin was an amazing salesman. He answered every single question we had, let us sit inside different models and told us the key differences on them. Kevin was not pushy like we've dealt with before, he to top it off he is a young guy and has great professionalism. We decided to run numbers and he broke it down very well with a variety of options. He stayed at the dealership until we drove off with our new car even though he was scheduled to go home for Christmas Eve for over an hour. The loan officer who handled all of our loan documents was great and explained everything thoroughly. He was very friendly and he was genuinely excited for us. I feel bad I cannot remember his name, but if I see him again I will make sure I get his name. We haven't purchased a car since 2006 so I'm not sure if the technology is new however I was impressed that they had a large touch screen on the desk that you would digitally sign the loan documents. When we purchased the car it was the afternoon of Christmas Eve so the detail department was gone, I returned that Saturday to get it detailed and a full tank of gas. I was told to arrive and they will have me down however the detail guy said they don't schedule appointments, they just bring them cars. The outside was gleaming but the inside lacked detailing but it's not crazy dirty just a bit dusty. When I asked about the gas they said the salesperson should've had it signed off so I just shrugged it off. It was an experience that started off a little awkward but went rather well and then was a little shaken but none the less we are mostly happy. I rate Kevin with 5 stars but the initial neglect and lack of detail brought it down to 3. read more

4 stars for the salesperson (Fernando) for his accommodating and kind service during our purchase of 2019 Highlander XLE around Black Friday. The purchase was very satisfactory. The salesperson's services were satisfactory. I think I'll put out the good word for him to my friends. So why only 2 stars? It would have been at least 3 stars overall if it wasn't so blatantly obvious that the finance manager (Larry) who dealt with our financing wasn't even trying to be subtle in giving me an attitude when dealing with our financial situation. A bit of advice to you Larry (if this ever reach you): Next time, try to be more professional in hiding your disappointment better just because we ended up not purchasing insurance under you. Customers know. Also, it would have been nice if the negotiations proceeded a bit smoother (had to wait a long time during the process), but they were compromising in the end, so not too bad. Next time, when two of my friends may drop by to do business with you folks (they like our Highlander), I'll personally give them a heads up, in advance, to not set up their appointment/engagement with any dealers and financial managers who are unprofessional and dismal in their conduct. Can't say enough how blessed I am to be sitting in my new car after we went to Bill Wright Toyota. My experience was especially unique since I was looking to replace my 2012 Scion TC which was stolen earlier in the year. Sales representatives were friendly and once they knew we were looking to replace the Scion, they quickly referred us to a Scion Certified Salesman named Andy Halewa but at no time added the pressure to commit like most car salesman are known for. After looking at the 2014 Scion TC, he politely gave us his business card, and we left with our word that we would be in touch. 2 weeks later, my husband & I returned to the dealership to see Andy & he greeted us like old friends. He was honest, very straight forward and worked with us to get the best possible financing for our vehicle. 1 day later, I drove off the lot in our new car :) I'm thankful that North Bakersfield Toyota turned us down (by asking for an obscene down payment) to replace the vehicle we initially purchased through them because if they hadn't, we wouldn't have had the outstanding customer service from Andy. I rolled my window down and spoke to the valet for the second time. I said, "Those boys were completely charming and it seemed very good at the time. It was only later that I realized how bad it all was for me!" I looked at him. He looked at me. I started to laugh a great big belly laugh. He could not resist laughing too and we agreed to "just leave that comment right there." We both saw the irony in the accidental innuendo: Two hours prior they "fixed" the electrical problem in the Prius by changing the battery in the key fob. I left feeling great but the feeling was fleeting. Soon I would feel condescended and patronized as I called for a tow from the Trader Joe's parking lot across town, unable to start the car due to an electrical problem that the Bill Wright boys tested for and ruled out an hour before. I'm sure glad I didn't prance home, to the remote Giant Sequoia National Monument, and get stuck there. Heck, at least I got stuck near a Trader Joe's and Starbucks. (Pro-tip: Starbucks tastes great but does not help your blood pressure when you are living in the #metoo moment.) So the tow driver got the car started and I drove it back to the dealership where I had that second visit with the valet, the highlight of my experience by far. I am going to admit that I was pretty grumpy at this point and probably taking it out on my service point person. He said he was 99.9% sure it was the 12-volt battery, based on my description. It was the same problem I described hours before and I was skeptical about their ability to "test it" again (or for the very first time...). I was frazzled at because I needed to get across town to get a crown at the dentist. They called an Uber for me and reminded me at least once "well, we did call an Uber..." (As a ridiculous aside, they gave the wrong address to Uber even though I had the dentist's actual card and I'm glad I know Bakersfield or I would have been even later than I was. I directed the driver after she started out to a different side of town - Truxton vs Truxton extension if you know Bakersfield). At this point, the hubs was headed down to drive me home, not realizing it might just be the 12-volt battery that the boys tested earlier. The car might be done quickly. They fast-tracked it for me, in fact, another thing they pointed out a number of times. The repair really was very quick. My husband messaged me while I was in the dental chair. The car was done! Again! My husband drove me back to the dealer and then did the "chummy man" thing well and asked what went wrong earlier. The service person explained that earlier they were looking for an "intermittent problem " and that their health checker showed no intermittent problems. This time they tested the 12-volt directly and found the problem. Either I am not smart enough to understand this or I am so smart that I would think an intermittent test would find intermittent problems, like my stopping two times after leaving the dealer and being able to start the car back up and then not being able to on the third time. This is the problem we've been having that I described at intakSo I don't know if this "testing for an intermittent problem" is a real explanation. I guess the world of Yelp will have to decide. We've been long-time Toyota people. It's on both sides of the family. What are we to do about this?I discussed the dilemma with my dentist: Do we switch teams? He suggested staying away from the hybrids so you can take your car to your own mechanic and avoid the dealerships. He gave a bad review of Bill Wright (as did the tow driver). As I sat in the dentist 's chair and pondered the problem, I announced: "I just need to make a lot more money! I'm now an Acura person!" I recounted an experience a few years ago when I took the MDX in for a recall issue. They said, "You're welcome to wait in the lounge or we'll give you a loaner." I drove around Bakersfield in a new Acura sports car, wind in my hair, breaking all speed limits, and surely hearing cat calls. Quite possibly the worst service experience. Showed commissioned sales advisor issue. That got lost in translation to the tech. They are commissioned, so they need to move vehicles in and out. No real diagnostics done, except by computer. Tech said the issues was non existent. showed The manager of the commissioned advisors the issue. He could see it, but will have to bring vehicle back. this is after rental car returned, which I paid for. I think I'm going to Valencia or Fresno to have the vehicle looked at. Every time I call to schedule an appointment for my husbands prius, we deal with same rude girls who can't seem to get ort information right. Once we get the appointment we check in and than they say there is no appointment in the system, or I wait for over two hours for an oil change with an appointment. I refuse to call this service center to schedule anymore. Obviously the appointment setters are not trained correctly. I guess we will have to take out business to North Toyota from now on.
