Located downtown on Liberty Ave in the Westin Hotel complex. Nice menu with a variety of menu items, not just burgers. A restaurant part of the Landry's Select rewards program. A large dining area perfect for large parties. Nice big bar area with a nice selection of draft beers and a variety of different liquors. Clean and well organized bar. A nice Happy Hour that includes $2 off draft beers, $6 house wines, and 1/2 off select appetizers. The Westin Hotel is the host to all of the visiting sports teams. Depending on the reservations at the hotel often dictates the busyness of the restaurant. Nice, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I always get thank you's from the staff for being a Landry's Select member. A nice rewards program that includes a free birthday meal. All in all a nice burger spot with a warm hometown atmosphere. Highly recommended. Will visit again soon when downtown. CHEERS!

Best burger in town! Service is so friendly and love the vibes and music. Must try if you are in Pittsburgh

Meh.... Not the best burger in Pittsburgh by any means. Moonlit is 100x better. Service was lackluster & prices were high. You're looking at $25 for a burger & a coke. I was surprised how busy it was for being in a hotel lobby, but I guess it's because they weren't turning tables too fast. I actually hate live music inside a restaurant, but I did enjoy the live entertainment! Anyways... doubt we'll be back!

Stopped in during the NFL draft for dinner. Server was able to seat us quick. Playoff hockey was going on for the Pens so vibes were high here. Quickly glanced the menu and went with bills burger and a vanilla shake. We got the large pretzel for the table. Pretzel was huge and had a beer cheese and a honey mustard dipping sauce. Both were delicious. The burger itself was so buttery and flavorful. Vanilla milkshake tasted like it came from an old ice cream parlor. So good!

Solid spot in downtown Pittsburgh with quite an expansive space to spread out in and enjoy. When I came by Bill's Bar & Burger, it was later in the evening when they had apparently ended the food service already....so for this visit at least, I'll only be able to review the 'bar' part of Bill's Bar & Burger. The service itself was very friendly from both the hostess and the bartenders - the main issue I had with it was how difficult it was to actually get their attention. I waited several minutes at one end of the bar and eventually went over to another part of it and waited a few more minutes before finally getting the attention of a bartender so that I could order myself a pint of an ale. It's not like there weren't several bartenders going back and forth behind the bar the whole time either - which is why that was a little frustrating to deal with. Nevertheless, the vibes inside were great. It had a warm, cozy feel with the lighting and decor, lively with some people enjoying drinks on the Friday night I was there, and my winter ale was very enjoyable & tasty! Bill's Bar & Burger looks like a great dining spot for hanging out in Pittsburgh - I'd love to return on a future visit to the area and give one of their burgers a try. That way, I can update this review with my 'burger' part of the experience!

Stopped back here for the first time in years. I had some bad experiences in the past, but was happy to see things have changed for the better. I went with the blackened and bleu burger. It came with two smashed patties, bleu cheese, bacon, onion, and garlic mayo. I ordered it with the regular bun, instead of the pretzel. The burger was delicious. Everything was super fresh and hot, which was impressive since we had a group of 7. The flavors all came together perfectly for a great burger. The fries were also good with their homemade ranch.

I did not have high hopes for this place, it was however open on Thanksgiving. Our waiter juggled most of the tables and they were filling up fast. And surprisingly the burgers were very good! All of them in all their glorious variations. French fries held up too! The only thing just ok was the dessert but not bad at all.

My husband and I stopped in to Bill's after a day of travel and settling in to our condo. It was conveniently close, great selection, everything tasted great, service was good and had the feeling it's the place to be when games are going on in town. Our next stop in Pittsburgh we will be stopping back in!

The menu seems a bit too broad for their capabilities. I came during midweek lunch, waited 18 minutes for a server to take my order even though there were only a couple of other customers

My lowkey late night spot tucked away at the Marriott hotel in downtown Pittsburgh the service is always pleasant and the food as well I love the fresh cut Fries and burgers of course. They also have a massive chicken sandwich I recommend trying it.

It's a little pricier because it's in the hotel connected to the convention center but this burger was good. Washed it down with a Bumbleberry draft.

I was in PIT on business and after looking at DoorDash to see what's available, but ultimately, I decided to eat here, bc their menu looked appealing and to my liking and convenient. I decided on Guacamole with tortilla tips, Beyond burger(came with fries)and Chocolate cake. I'm going to be very honest and fair. To me, I didn't think that the guacamole was all that. I wasn't blown away, but it wasn't the worst. It came with salsa and pico de gallo. Salsa tasted like it was a store bought and pico, I put it on my beyond burger. It tasted good. Beyond burger was good, but I could probably had done without the pickles as I'm not a big fan of pickles and they kind of tasted sweet. The fries were delicious with side of mayonnaise(I love mayonnaise with my fries). I really didn't need Chocolate cake, but I was jonesing for something sweet, so I ordered it with coffee with cream. It was very delicious. My server was very friendly and attentive and the runner guy brought my food and cake very fast. This establishment located inside Westin Hotel. It has a nice cozy ambiance and the place was filled with customers. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by.

This sandwich is bigger than my hand!

BEST PITTSBURGH WING…read more We were absolutely not expecting this and still can't believe it. We didn't have major expectations but hoped it would be at least a top 5 wing and average meal. It was beyond that The French onion soup we saw online and everyone seemed to enjoy that. We're whores for it so had to get. I like mine a tad bit salty which this was and PACKED with onion chunks and breaded leeks on top. It was impossible to get a spoon fully without any inclusions. My new favorite The Tavern Burger. I'm coming fresh off 9 years without 5 Guys (elite) and this rocked me harder than that. This isn't a stupid smash burger. We got a juicy COOKED PERFECT RARE 8oz patty, topped with sautéed onions, and bacon that isn't crisped to smithereens. I like my bacon medium rare and that's exactly what I got. Then covered in one of the craziest sauces I have ever had, their gorgonzola cream. I could drink that by the gallon The wings.... I have never had a wing itself cooked more perfect in my life. The smoke and meatiness on them was so nailed that I could get 2 dozen plain and still have the same reaction. We got the Buffalo Garlic and Dry Cajun Ranch. These wings don't need drenched in sauce by any means or it would honestly ruin it. The buffalo doesn't ned to be creamy either. Perfect amount of sauce to cheese ration. The dry cajun ranch was a fucking knockout. For how great the wing is I would love to see more dry season options with them Cam got a Tavern Dip. I hate dips. I loved the shaved ribeye on it and horseradish, but I have never been an Au Jus man. Would 100000% eat it without the au jus Then the fries. Always team psoriasis through and through. Not sure if I'm coming off the Five Guys high but their cajun boardwalk style are even better. Get some spicy honey aioli to dip them in. Truly just shocked at how amazing this place is. Right over the bridge and cannot recommend enough going here before a game and walking over. Great spot right before, after and during sports. Very high Pittsburgh atmosphere going on I will be back so many times and absolutely worth going Downtown for

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

Very well-priced and everything was quite tasty. Our service was top notch as well. Daniel (our server) was excellent, taking great care to make sure we were satisfied and had everything we needed. He deserves major kudos for taking great care of us. I will definitely be back again for lunch and dinner. Check out the pool while you're there. It's comparable to any other pool. However, it was an engineering feat, as it is located on the 25th floor as well! Kudos to Elevation for a great experience and for continuing to raise the bar for Pittsburgh's restaurant scene.

No. Just no. My son and I were headed to a show at PPG Arena and wanted to eat somewhere near by. I…read moresaw that this spot had good reviews so we thought we would try it. My son called and made reservations. The day came at I met him in the hotel lobby. We took the elevator up to the 25th (27th?? Can't remember) floor where the restaurant is. When we got there we were told that they weren't ready yet. We didn't even tell them we had reservations. So we waited. . . and waited. Finally my son walked over to the bar and told them that we had reservations. The bartender called a server out. She asked us if we were doing fine dining. I said that I wanted to check out the menu to see what they had. She took us to the back of the restaurant. We found out later that there was a nicer area but it was closed off. All of a sudden all of these people started coming in. It took us a minute and we realized that they were guests of the Embassy hotel. They must have been given tickets for free drinks. The bar line was long and stayed long. They were also given access to a very small snack buffet. The server that waited on us was the one and only server working the entire restaurant. She was constantly cleaning tables and checking on the snack buffet. So we had to wait ridiculous amounts of time to order, to get our food, and to even pay. I had ordered a cup of lobster and corn chowder. When I finally got it, it was barely room temperature. It tasted like it was straight out of a can. There was one tiny piece of lobster and about half a can of corn. I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was starving so I ate it. My son tried it and gave it a hard pass. As my entree I ordered shrimp tacos. There was seemed to be fresh pico on it but the shrimp was 90% breading. Not good. My son ordered the club type sandwich. It had a nice portion of meat on it and tasted ok. (That is what the one star is for.). Was very disappointed from start to finish. I won't be back. Ever.
