They took the time to explain the repair, confirmed the diagnostic code, and even pointed out a few things I should do to help my Prius last longer. They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I'll definitely be bringing my Prius back if I ever need anything else.

It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

After getting nowhere, I called from a different number--and suddenly Jesse answered. His excuse was that he had been "busy." I asked him to send me my money back and he hung up and blocked my number. In total, nearly two months passed after he took my money with no communication, no follow-up, and no attempt to complete the service. Being busy may explain a delayed response. It does not explain ignoring a paying customer for over two months while continuing to keep their money. That is not poor time management; it is poor business practice. There was an $80 diagnostic fee, so technically I am only out $40. Financially, it is not a huge loss. Professionally, however, it says everything I need to know about this business. A reputable business does not take payment, fail to complete the agreed-upon service, ignore every attempt at communication, and then offer excuses only after being reached from a number it does not recognize. The motorcycle needed a diagnosis, but the bigger problem turned out to be the business itself: unreliable, unresponsive, and completely lacking in accountability. I would not trust Jesse with my motorcycle again, and I certainly would not recommend paying him anything upfront.

I called Pops and Sons and not only did they give me a fair price, they let me come same day. I got there within 15 minutes of calling, and I was out of there in about an hour. Very reasonable pricing and all of the workers there were extremely friendly. They even had a taco truck there that day for their shop an another shop and they gave me free tacos while I waited for my car to be worked on. The tacos were amazing btw. I definitely plan to continue to come here in the future.

However, I decided to give him a chance and wait to see if maybe he's a few minutes late. When he doesn't appear by 10:30 I call, no answer. I call again at 10:45, once again no answer. At 11:15 I give up and head home. At 12:15 he finally calls back because he just got to the garage and tells me I can come back. I let him know I'm already on my way home and to far to come back. This is a classic example of a great idea run by someone who is to lazy to actually run a business.

Turns out it was the pulley that was severely cracked and needed replacement (not the timing chain). I've been to many mechanics and this guy is the worst by far. If he didn't want to diagnose a certain brand of vehicle, he could've told me that during the initial conversation over the phone.

I'm so thankful ChatGPT directed me to Tire Outlet. The moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted with smiles and employees who were eager to help. The manager personally took care of me, and from the very beginning, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The speed of service really impressed me. About a year ago, I brought my car to a different tire shop in Fullerton for another leaky tire and ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours before anyone even looked at my car. Today's experience couldn't have been more different. While I relaxed in Tire Outlet's clean, comfortable waiting lounge and got some work done on my laptop, they had everything taken care of in about 15 minutes. Then came the biggest surprise of all. They told me my tire didn't need to be replaced after all--they were able to fix it easily by hand. And when I went to pay, they insisted on not charging me anything. Seriously... who does that these days?! I was blown away. That level of honesty and integrity is incredibly rare. They could have easily sold me a new tire, especially since my tires are difficult to find, but instead they fixed the actual problem and sent me on my way. I was about two hours from home, and ended up with a hole in my tire that needed fixing before I could drive back. They told me to arrive by 6:30 p.m. since they closed at 7, and I got there just in time. While the actual replacement process was smooth and the tires look fine, I only found out from the paperwork afterward that they were supposedly "balanced". Unfortunately, the car hasn't been driving right since. The steering feels off, it's jerky, and turns are more difficult than they should be. Clearly, something is wrong with the balancing or the installation. I'm concerned that because I arrived so close to closing time, the job may have been rushed. If they can't do a thorough job that late in the day, they really should stop taking new customers earlier rather than rushing through the work. In short, while the staff was accommodating in terms of timing, the end result was that my car doesn't drive properly now. For that reason, I wouldn't go back.

My vehicle had rear damage to the bumper, brackets and a small endpoint of the trunk in 2017. We went through our insurance to fix this issue and this shop was out-of-network. Of course, they estimated the entire repair to be well into the $1,000s and Linda said to me that the "insurance inspection needs to be done so you can get paid" (she really meant so Bill's Body Works can get paid, not me). Currently, my bumper is hanging off the brackets, the paint is peeling and chipping now, and bubbling (supportively an OEM bumper, which I asked for by insurance and Bill's, but they obviously used After market, so they lied). I had the car recently inspected by the in-network auto body shop (for a separate issue) and then, I explained the situation with Bill's Body Works and the rear bumper. They gave me a free honest inspection (actually took the rear bumper physically off by a person with the most experience in their shop). It was discovered that Bill's Body Works didn't even correct the misalignment of the metal frame on the left side, where the bumper attaches to the body. So, the bumper would realistically never be able to attach correctly without a gap showing, due to it buckling/pinching at the corner. They merely attached the new bumper onto a bent car body. The gap between the new bumper and the car body is so large and the edges are peeling/bubbling/chipping. Thanks Bill's Body Works of the current day, for not even correcting the problem yet quickly taking the large estimate that my insurance paid in full. You really couldn't wait to get your hands on that money and obviously looked at me as a "cash cow". The parents (original owners) were excellent at handling their business, but their children (and married partner) are obviously running it into the ground in typical greed fashion. The 5-stars are obviously fake or it's their friends all pitching in to strengthen their Yelp page. To Customers: Stick with in-network auto body shops when going through insurance, or you'll get ripped off by people like Mark and Linda when they see their opportunity to milk a situation dry. read more
