Had my car serviced today. I was noticing a burning smell coming from my engine. I took it to reliable auto and they recommended replacing the head cover gasket and another gasket was leaking. Also, when they had the engine open they noticed a brittle power steering hose and they replaced that with no labor charge! Everything seems to be running well now! My mom took her Subaru Forester in to try and fix the air conditioning. They spent three hours trying to fix it by putting in new parts but nothing seemed to fix it. He finally found the issue that was a switch the air conditioning uses to turn off and on inside the motor compartment. Unfortunately the part needed is safe guarded by Subaru and he was unable to get the part. He didn't charge anything despite his hours of work. !!!!After I paid over 1800$+ my truck still left on a flat bed tow truck !!!! Went to get my brake booster repaired ,left with breaks stuck and truck would not move one inch ! I went in cause my break peddle hit the floor and left with me not being able to push on my breaks at all since there were locked ! My car had been loud for a few months and I had just gotten so used to the noise and then I realized that's not how it was when I started to drive this new-to-me car. So I asked Nelson if he could help me figure out the noise and he knew immediately. I had to come back a week later for the repair as it was diagnosed late Friday. Right after the repair was made, I drove to San Diego and the following week to the Northwest. I recently purchased a used 2002 Ford Thunderbird with 147K miles. After purchasing the vehicle, I realized that the air conditioner wasn't working properly, and the check engine light came on. I took it to Ary Serrano on my neighbor's recommendation. The guy is excellent! He did a thorough system check of my vehicle, explained, and showed me what was wrong. We discussed what should be done now vs what can wait. He charged me extremely reasonable prices (I had previously gone to several other mechanics and dealers in the area). I know there are other things that need to be fixed, but Ary has the car working like new. I will need a new compressor eventually, but for now the A/C is working and the engineer light is out! The best auto shop!! So hard to find somewhere reliable (ha), but this place lives up to its name. Prices are competitive, service is quick, mechanics are completely honest and upfront about causes and estimates. Nelson in particular is fantastic; very thorough and helpful, always answers questions patiently. Do note though that they don't install customer-bought parts, but that's totally understandable due to liability. I've visited when unsure about something and I wasn't charged for an inspection or even their time. They even have great WiFi and several comfortable chairs. I don't usually give a compliment to anyone unless they truly deserves it. Steve look at my 2014 expedition because it is not blowing hot air. Initially, there is a $90 diagnostic fee for them to spend time on your car to find out what problem you have. He worked on my car, 35 minutes later, the hot air is coming out again. He explained to me what could be causing this issue. Steve didn't bother charging me for his time. I felt i had to give him some business so I purchased an additive for my other car and gave him extra for lunch to show my gratitude. You're awesome Steve! (John would do it for free). If that 10 minute evaluation is their starting point for repair, I would be concerned for pricing for parts and labor. Try Orange-Olive garage a couple miles away. These guys are great! I got my AC fixed here (had been broken for over a year). It is a few months later and my AC is still blowing a strong arctic blast! Yesterday, I finally had my belts installed, water pump, idle control valve, oil change, and new coolent. Since I had most of the parts, the cost was reduced. So with that being said, I only paid $852.62 for everything. Wow, I thought that was a great price considering I would pay twice as much at a dealer and other places I called. I was really impressed with Jon and Bill the owners. Very nice and honest. I also like the fact that this place is so close to my apartment, just walking distance and less than 5 minutes. I found this place on help and I was impress with all the reviews. So after getting my truck back, I drive up to LA to visit my girlfriend. I was very pleased how the engine sound. My idle sounds like a brand new car and the check engline light I had prior, never came back on again. They even gave me a great price for new spark plugs and wires at $200 to $250. When I get more money, I will definitely come back here again and have that done. Now you probably wonder how much miles I have on my 2002 Toyota tacoma preruner. It's over 204,000 miles. So I've taken my truck to this auto shop because it's the closest to my house and on yelp they've got fairly good reviews. There was a young gentleman that helped me out and had good service with him. The second time I took my smaller car because it had a check engine light on and wanted to see that was wrong with it. This time an older male greeted me and this time I had a horrible experience. He was rude and would cut me off the conversation for most of the time . People would show up and he would attend to them and not even finish with me like my problem wasn't worth his time. The part my car needed was $18.49 at orally. He took 20 mins trying to find it and told me. "I can't find it but I will call you . If not you will have to go somewhere else". Mind you , he had an attitude while telling me this. My wife found this place by searching here for it after I went to another repair shop that had quoted me over $1500 for a new rack and pinion after my steering started getting tight and was making noise. My power steering fluid actually ran dry due to a leak in a hose. Turns out that all that was needed was the hose replacement because since Martin is an expert on Toyota's he knew that the rack and pinion rarely ever fails in this case, and sure enough nothing was wrong with mine. So for less than $300 bucks I got my car running smooth again. Martin for sure is a man of integrity! These guys are simply the best! read more

We drove from the Bay Area to Anaheim for a family Disney trip on dec 25th when my father in law's 99 expedition begun to shake that night. The next day dec 26 no shop wanted to troubleshoot his vehicle from the description over the phone it seemed it was going to take all day ant it sounded like all the shops I called wanted to close early After calling 5 shops around our hotel I called reliable auto care which was a 15 min drive from us and Martin said he would take us in We showed up sat down while he checked it After trouble shooting it for about 10 min he came back in and told us it would take him a few hours to fix so he had the nice lady (Dina) shuttle us back to our hotel and said they would pick us up when finished.A few hours later Dina called while in Disneyland and told me she was on her way to drop off the truck... RELIABLE auto care dropped off our truck!! Who does that?!!!
