There is not much for choices in Aberdeen, WA to chose from. We tried Billy's Bar and Grill. The food was good, and the staff were very accommodating. We really felt that we were valued customers and we were never rushed. The food was good, and there was plenty of it. My wife and I split our meal and there were still leftovers. We were served dinner at 8:45. Our server (who was very nice) told us not to worry about the time, even though they close at 9:00. The blond manger walked by us and barked that "we close at 9:00". Surprised, we tried to enjoy our dinner and drinks until she walked by again and barked ... "we're locking the doors at 9:30". The next day (college football Saturday) we walked in for a drink. The manager was bartending and I mentioned that she wasn't very "nice" the night before. They, the bartender, a eavesdropping customer and a waitress, began treating me, as though I was guilty of something! They claimed it had something to do with "male alpha privilege. Yikes! Came here for dinner, and they surpassed all expectations! Fries were crispy, burgers were flavorful without being too oily (Bleu Cheese Burger), and the beer battered shrimp had a nice buttery tone to it. The hamburger steak was alright, but not bad by any means. They steak came with broccoli, but only 3 small pieces, which we asked about to which they gave us a normal serving free of charge. The ambiance was very nice. The interior was gorgeous, with bunch of wall art that tied the vibe together. One critique was the benches on the booths were a bit short, making fitting 2 people a bit cozy, plus they eat you a little bit with how much the seat gives. The waitress was attentive, and very polite (Thank you Meagan!) The price also wasn't too bad, being about 80-ish dollars for 4 full meals, a hard cider, and 3 other drinks that weren't waters. Well I just love it here. So much that I couldn't leave without writing a review. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a nice smile and the warmest hello. You're able to seat yourself, so that's a bonus. All of the tables were clean. Not like a diner clean, but actually clean. Even the condiments looked brand new. They were actively keeping the floors clean while working. We had Julie as a server. Bundle of sunshine that one. Great service! My coffee stayed full. We were checked on by Julie and the hostess. Our food came out quick and hot. They let me add cheese to my hash browns with no problem. And no extra charge! The bar is fully stocked. My friend had a bacon Bloody Mary that she thoroughly enjoyed. I'm not big on them, but she said it was delicious. Also, their prices are reasonable. We weren't rushed at any point. I loved it. I really enjoyed this eggs benny. Didn't enjoy the little paper at the bottom of the to go container, it got weird because of the benny sauce but I was able to just take it out. Must visit this historical building of bricks! Started with the fried pickles which came with plenty of ranch dressing. Ordered the Oyster Poor Boy with a side of clam chowder instead of the fries. Best clam chowder I have ever had, deliciously flavored with just the right amount of clams and potatoes. The sandwich had fried oysters on a generous bed of lettuce, tomato, and bacon. So if you're on your vacation in this town and looking for a place with fresh seafood to eat like me then this isn't the one. This place is nearby the ocean and how they cook their seafood is so unhealthy, all deep fry, take it or leave it. My hubby ordered a 1/2 lb burger and said it was great. So I made 3 instead of 2. This is one of the nices bars in aberdeen. It's a bar and resturant and kids are welcome in everywhere but at the bar it self. The food is awesome great menu with lots of choices and they do server breakfast in the mornings only. They have some good steaks to specially hamburgers and some of the best fish and chips. Not knowing the area, co-workers and I decided to stop in Billy's for a quick bit to eat. Ordered a BBQ Chicken Burger and actually surprised on how good it was. Lately, chicken burgers have been fairly bland when it comes to the taste. This chicken had the perfect amount on seasoning to make me want more. If you want a classic breakfast get yourself to Bill's. This is not a lah-de-dah place, this is a place with human history galore. At first a Red Cross location then something else then a bordello-ooh la la and on and on. Sure, eat your perfectly cooked bacon and waffle (with warmed syrup) next time I would ask for real butter and I bet it would be subbed with grace,and listen in to the walls of history. I was really disappointed in the shrimp and chips. They were so "shrimpy" in size that it took 11 of them to make up a portion size that's usually around 5. They don't taste bad, but definitely more like something you'd get at a fast food place. read more

What a wonderful restaurant ruined by bad service. The atmosphere is great and everything looks freshly painted and maintained, and the decor is fun to look at. The bars history is interesting to learn about, and they have a really awesome cohesive theme going that impresses you while walking in - so I had high expectations. Those expectations were immediately tampered when I sat down to a dirty bar, was given a badly formatted menu that needed its sleeve changed a month ago, and dirty silverware. The bartender looked like she would rather be anywhere else and wanted absolutely nothing to do with us, and would rather be loudly and explicitly complaining to her coworker in front of us, the only two people in the entire restaurant. We ordered a beer which was in a dirty glass and was completely flat - not sure if that was just that type of beer or not because we got a bud light after we gave it back. So why did I give this restaurant 3 stars then? Normally dirty tables, silverware, cups, and unprofessional bad service is what makes a 1 star rating, but the food was really that damn good. I ordered the Bleu Burger and it was hands down the best blue cheese burger I've had. The meat was perfectly shaped with a large, thin patty that had a great sear on it, the bun was perfectly toasted with a deep brown crust and warm soft exterior that held up to the gooey blue cheese without getting soggy. The onions were at that happy medium place between sautéed and caramelized where they had a good sweetness but were still crisp. This burger was just absolutely perfectly executed and it was completely unexpected from everything leading up to that point. I would order takeout from here, but I likely won't eat here again because of the bad service, which is a shame because if they had better staff and management this could be a straight up tourist attraction in Aberdeen with the amount of potential it has. read more

All I can say about Billy is is we left Westport for some eggs and came to Billies all the way in Aberdeen walked in at 11:15 asking if we could please get breakfast which ended at 11 and they told us that they cook it already put everything away... i'm all good with that if it's something that he really had to put away but if you're talking about a couple eggs and a piece of toast I'm not buying it. I've been in the restaurant business a long time that just means you have a lazy cook. The place was basically empty and we were waited on very quickly. I had a 1/2 lb brick burger that came with a fried egg and grilled ham. Mom had fried fish with a bowl of clam chowder instead of fries. My burger was a three napkin affair, which for me is good because it means the burger is cooked perfectly. The only part that left me wanting was the ham. I expected a slice of grilled ham and instead had a couple of thin slices of what looked like packaged lunch meat. However the burger was very good, just less than what I expected. Moms fish was a little too crunchy but the fish inside was good. The clam chowder would be excellent if you wanted bacon potato chowder. It still tasted very good but just light on clams. So, only 3 stars for not meeting all our expectations but still a decent meal. read more
